Tatiana's Flashback

Shooting Range

1 week before the invasion.

BANG, BANG!

The sound of gun fire went through out the shooting range. Standing at the front was Tatiana and her grandmother, shooting their guns at the targets. They were currently the only ones there, so over their shots they were free to have their own private conversation.

"You seem to be taken' a likin' to that one Japanese boy," Grandma screamed over the sounds of the bullets. Tatiana stopped shooting and dropped her jaw.

"Grandma! How did you know that?" Tatiana asked surprise. She hadn't even talked to Hiro yet. Sure, she would occasionally hang out with him, but that was when the entire gang was together! She also nervous to say anything because Caesar seemed to be interested in her. Sure Caesar was a nice guy, but he just wasn't her type.

"Girl, don't you think I'd know my own Granddaughter by now?" Grandma asked in return. "I think I'd know who you'd have a crush on by now,"

Grandma said this all as the bullets in her pistol ran out. "Damn it, I'll go get more at the front desk,"

As Grandma exited the room, Tatiana took a look around. They were their early that morning, and no one else had entered appeared to be in the room. However, out of the corner of her eye she saw a movement in the shadows. Panicked, she raised her gun and moved forward. Thankfully, it was not what she feared it was. Rather, it was a bald man with a goatee. He appeared to be extremely panicked, and he ran up to her in a frenzy.

"He's coming for you!" He said approaching her, horror in his face.

Tatiana just took a step, frightened by the stranger.

"W-who are you? W-what are y-you talking about?"She stuttered nervously.

The man looked at her seriously. "Don't pretend you don't know, Tatiana. A reckonings coming, and you'll have to pick a side, girl."

Tatiana turned away nervous. Was this guy for real? How did he even know her name anyway? But when Tatiana turned around, the man was gone.

"What da hell?" She asked herself in a whisper.

Present Day

One Mile outside Woodcrest

The group had parked the van just on the outskirts of Woodcrest. Normally they'd be in plain sight of the guards outside, but due to the heavy snow vision was nearly impossible. They were trying to formulate a plan to get in, get Ruckus, get out, and as Riley recommended, send him back once the niggaism was finished

"We should probably split up," Cindy suggested. "We'll cover mo' ground n'-"

"…You'll get to have more sex with Riley," Ming finished, which was met by insane laughter from Tatiana, Hiro, and Caesar, while Cindy and Riley both gave her an expression of half shock and half anger. To this, Ming merely shrugged.

"Huey's headphones are shit. I should know, my cousin made them," She explained.

"Dis ain't bout dat. We gonna look fo' BJ," Riley said. "I didn't see him with da bodies at the school, so he's probably still alive,"

"Riley" Caesar started "We don't have the time fo-"

"Time for what?" Riley started, starting to get angry. "We out here tryin' ta play Exorcist an' yo Brooklyn ass say we can't save BJ? Ain't dis a bitch? Some ol' bullshit," Riley complained.

"Riley," Caesar snarled, getting more aggressive. "You listen to-"

"Stop" Ming said raising her hand, surprising the group. "Maybe it's not a bad idea to split up. We'll cover more ground."

Caesar just stared blankly at her, until she added with a suggestive looking expression "By couple"

"Yes!" Caesar said jumping up, earning glances from Hiro and Tatiana, who had been silent for the majority of the time.

"Okay man, keep it in your pants 'til we got Ruckus," Ming told him. "I saw a really big tree on a hill yesterday, seems like a good spot to meet up when we do. You all know it,"

"Better than you think," Riley said with a laugh, with a nod of acknowledgement from Cindy.

"Wait what did you – aw come on! You didn't do it under Huey's tree, did you?" Hiro asked in shock and slight disgust.

"You know it ma nigga!" Riley laughed. Hiro glared at him, and then looked back to Ming.

"Tatiana and I will take the north side of the neighborhood; you and Caesar take the south,"

"Ay nigga, yo' forgot me and Reezy!" Cindy pointed out.

Hiro rose an eyebrow "Even if I'd told yo where you were suppose to go, would you or Riley listen to me?"

Before either Riley or Cindy could respond, the unexpected happened.

BANG!

A bullet went straight through the side window, making everyone duck down.

"Fuck! Who's shooting at us?" Riley yelled.

"The fucking Salvation Army, who do you think?" Tatiana yelled back at him over the sound of bullets being fired as she loaded her rifle.

"Dammit, let me see how many we dealin' with," Riley said getting up to the window, and after a split second of looking out he sat back down, looking a frightened.

"Dayum Reezy," Cindy said, surprised that her boyfriend's normally confident and somewhat arrogant demeanor faded "Ya look pale as a ghost . . . a black ghost, but still a ghost"

"There's fifty of dem," he said, horrifying his friends. "And dat ain't the worse part,"

"Riley, I don't know what could be worse than fifty soldiers who want to kill us," Ming told him, "or worse take us alive, stretch out our limbs on a large iron table for seven days straight while we are beaten and electrocuted, and forced to lay in our own excrement until we either die from the pain or starvation,"

Everyone stared at Ming with incredibly scared looks on their faces. "Look it up," is all she had to say in response.

"Well Ming," Riley said in a serious tone. "I'm gonna guess you don't know da crazy ass mofucka known as Lamilton Taeshawn!"

"Continue firing, yella' bitches!" Lamilton bellowed to his troops, as he himself fired his M-16. Yet one was refusing his orders.

"But sir," the man started, with a very thick Chinese accent. "We been given strict orders from Mr. Long Dou"

Lamilton looked at the soldier, and then raised his hand up to signal the troops to stop firing. The trooper who had advised him to stop looked around nervously, as his comrades gave him apologetic looks and backed away from him. Lamilton reached into his pocket, causing the soldier to break into a cold sweat in fear of what he'd pull out. However, all Lamilton took out was a cigarette and a lighter. The soldier breathed a sigh of relief as Lamilton lit the cigarette and put it into his mouth, still staring at the soldier but with a calmer expression. However, seemingly unprovoked, Lamilton raised his gun yet again and fired several rounds into the soldier, who was to shocked to even flinch in response and just went down to the ground, dead. Even after this happened, Lamilton continued to shoot his corpse, watching it flop like a fish out of water as he laughed hysterically.

"Ha ha-ha! Dat Chinamen got more holes in him den da Great Wall!"

"But sir, the Great Wall doesn't have holes in it, that's entire point!" another soldier pointed out to him, causing Lamilton to turn his attention away from the first's mangled and bloody corpse. Lamilton then put on a large ear to ear grin.

"Oh shit," the soldier said realizing his folly, the last things he ever said before he felt the bullets pass from one side of his body out the other.

"Good news! Down ta forty-eight!" Caesar screamed looking out the window.

"Maybe we should jus' chill in here a bit more an' wait fo lard ass out there to finish the job. Hell, he'll probably just eat dem Chinese sons o' bitches and still be hungry in an hour" Cindy joked, causing everyone in the car to get at laugh except for Tatiana, who seemed laser focused, and a bit nervous.

"Let's just get this over with," she said bitterly. "There's still a chance that we might all get killed, and I don't want to spend my last minutes making immature fat and Chinese jokes!" They all ended their laughter, and looked around awkwardly. Tatiana usually had a great sense of humor, but now seemed as cold as ice.

"Dayum Tatiana," Riley said "yo' been spendin' too much time wit Huey or somethin', cause you actin' like itz dat time o' da mo-ouch!" Hiro slapped Riley upside the head.

"Cut it out Riley!" Hiro said angrily, but Riley ignored him and rubbed the back of his head.

"Goddammit! Why duz everybody slap me backside the head! You, Huey, Granddad, Cindy, da Po-Po, da-ouch! Fuck, C-Murph! What da hell was that for?"

Cindy merely shrugged. "I felt like it, nigga,"

"I think it's down to forty now," Caesar interjected.

"Forty?" Ming said with her jaw dropping. "Just how crazy is this sick fuck?"

"Pretty damn crazy!" Riley replied, his expression abnormally serious. "Torturin' animals, spraying piss at passin' cars, stealin' dose cars, den pissin' on da seat, stabbing people, you name it. He is crazy as hell,"

Everyone seemed unsettled and nerved by Riley's account, except for Tatiana. Instead, she gritted her teeth and glared at Riley. Hiro was the only to notice this, and he was beginning to get suspicious of what was going on with her. She's been acting strange all day. However, Hiro judged it best not to press on the matter, and just continued as though everything was normal.

"Okay, it's now or never," Caesar said with a deep breath as he opened the back door, and they all filed out, and began to shoot. The soldiers had been distracted by Lamilton, with already twelve of their comrades being killed by him. They assumed that the sounds of the bullets were coming from Lamilton's gun, but when they saw this wasn't the case and the fact that one of the two soldiers the group had killed had an arrow through his skull from Ming's crossbow, they began to return fire. To take cover, they all dove behind a snow bank. Tatiana's rifle, the F2000 assault rifle, had a range of about a third of a mile, but was also effective at close range as well.

"Thirty six left!" Hiro screamed. "We each have to kill six more!"

"Only you'd be doin' math durin' a God damn shootout!" Riley shouted over the sounds of bullets firing, as he shot two soldiers at the same time with his pistols.

"How haven't we been killed?" Caesar said surprised, taking a soldier's head clean off with his shot gun. "All that's coverin' us is a bit of snow!"

"Nigga, watch some movies!" Cindy shouted, as she shot a soldier with her AR-15 "Bad guys always got shitty aim!"

"Yo! I think I gotta shot at Lamilton!" Riley stood up excitedly, aiming both pistols straight at Lamilton, who was too distracted barking demands to notice. Riley had his fingers on both the triggers, and was ready to fire. But that was when the unexpected happened.

"NO!" Tatiana screamed as she tackled Riley to the ground, preventing him from shooting Lamilton.

"WHAT THE FUCK TATIANA?!" all five of them screamed and jumped up, with Cindy, Hiro, Caesar, and Ming pulling her off Riley. The noise of their shouting caused Lamilton to turn back towards them. However once he viewed, his normal crazy evil smile was gone, and his face cooled over as he dropped his QBZ-95 rifle.

"What the fuck?" he said in shock. He then shook himself to maintain his composure, and turned to the closest soldier. "Tell the men to retreat!"

The soldier turned to Lamilton with surprise for he had previously heard about how ruthless Lamilton was supposed to be, and could hardly believe that he was proposing surrender especially when they outnumbered the enemy by such a wide margin. But before he could express this surprise in words he was shot straight through the chest. When his body hit the ground, Lamilton saw a gunman wearing a black mask 50 yards out with what appeared to be a Thompson Machine gun, firing at the Chinese troops. It was hard to see with all the snow, but it appeared to be that he was coming closer. "RETREAT, YOU YELLOW SONS OF BITCHES!" Lamilton screamed as he ran to the cars, which were Beijing BJ2020s. A few got shot on the way, but most of those remaining managed to escape.

Once they were gone, the masked gunman approached the group. Riley pointed one of his pistols at him, his hand shaking yet the gun man only laughed.

"You really gonna pull dat trigga, nigga?" the gun man said in a voice that Riley and Cindy recognized immediately.

"BJ?!" they both screamed in surprise, as he dropped down the mask to show his face. Both Riley and Cindy gave him a bro-hug, relieved to see their friend was alive and well. However, they were both alarmed to see an eye-patch covering his left eye. Even Tatiana and Hiro, who barely knew BJ, gasped in horror.

"Relax niggas! I ain't no Goddamn mo'fuckin' pirate," BJ said to calm his friends, but then saw Ming, and his eye widened. "Although I wouldn't say no to plunderin' dat booty,"

Ming turned completely red, as Cindy and Riley both fell into the snow laughing hysterically. Caesar got up with his face just as red as Ming's, and took a step towards BJ.

"Maybe you should think about rephrasing; that before I take out yo' other eye, Patchy," Caesar said intimidating BJ into backing down.

"'Kay, sorry man. Who is she anyway?"

"We'll get to that in due time," Caesar told him. "In the mean time, you need to tell us all the crazy crap we've missed in the past 24 hours,"

BJ bit his lip, knowing his answer would take a while. "Let's get in da van so I can tell ya niggas all da shit dat went down. While everyone entered the van, Caesar took a close look at BJ, Cindy, and Riley.

Oh great, there's three of them.

The Safe Haven

"YOU NIGGAS THINK YOU CAN HOLD ME, COLONEL FUCKIN' STINKMEANER! FUCK ALL Y'ALL NIGGAS! I'LL BE OUTTA HERE BEFORE DAT NIGGA RUCKUS COMES BACK, 'BECAUSE I AM A REAL NIGGA, BEST Y'ALL NIGGAS GET USE TA-"

BASH!

"Hopefully Cairo can't feel that," Huey said as he rested the frying pan on the table. The group hadn't left too long ago, but Cairo had already woken up half a dozen times, and he, Jazmine and Cleopatra had been there to handle him. Huey looked upon Jazmine and frowned.

"Jazmine, maybe you should rest for a bit," Huey said concern. Huey knew she didn't sleep well last night, for she had woken up several times in a cold sweat, screaming out for her mom or dad, describing to Huey the graphic images she saw of their gruesome deaths. This occurred several times, and Huey had begun to lose patience, but he refused to show it out of respect. Jazmine however, showed no intention of wishing to leave, and seemed slightly insulted by Huey's request.

"Don't think that I'm going anywhere," Jazmine said with a nervous laugh as though she wanted to believe Huey was joking. "This is just as much my fight as yours,"

Huey did not respond, but instead just stared at Jazmine with an extremely serious expression. Jazmine got the message, and left without saying another word. Cleopatra then turned to Huey.

"What the hell was that about?" Cleopatra asked raising an eyebrow "Are you her boyfriend or her old man?"

Cleopatra was fully anticipating to receive one of Huey's death stares, but instead he just sank his head down, something Cleopatra hadn't seen him do in the short time that they've known each other. But this took a backseat to when he lifted his head he showed that he himself was exhausted. This wasn't an easy job, but Huey seemed more warn out emotionally than physically. Huey sighed, and began to speak.

"Jazmine's been through a lot already. No need to make her go through any more of this,"

Cleopatra gave a laugh, trying to lighten the mode. "I think it's a bit late for that, like a dozen Chinese soldiers late,"

"Just stop talking, Cleo," Huey said, staring at Cairo's possessed body, anticipating Stinkmeaner to come back at any moment. "You wouldn't understand, Jazmine is going through a lot right now. She doesn't know if her parents are alive or dead, and she's getting smacked talked by a crazy rapist nigga demon,"

Cleopatra cringed slightly when she heard the first part, but regained her composer for the second part.

"Has anyone else experienced that last one?"

"You'd be surprised,"

Just as he said this, Stinkmeaner woke up, breaking through the chains that Huey and Cleopatra had attached to the bed. Huey took a swing with his frying pan, but Stinkmeaner grabbed it himself, and ripped it in half like cardboard, much too Huey's and Cleopatra's horror.

"Y'all fucked niggas!" Stinkmeaner laughed.

. . .

Control room

Jazmine stood in the room, still fuming about being kicked out of the room by Huey. The thing that made her angriest though was the fact that she knew the exact reason why he did it. Huey had always looked down on her. Even when they were both ten, he found her childish and annoying. He always tried to show her the harsh truth of reality, even though he knew that she wasn't ready, and didn't seem to care about anything except his conspiracy theories. It was for this reason that for the beginning part of Freshman year she went out with some white dude, just so she could get some sort of emotion out of Huey. Turned out that it was more than enough, for not only did Huey profess his love to Jazmine, but nearly put the white guy in a coma. She was a bit pissed off about it when it happened, but when Huey gave her the first kiss, she couldn't keep away from him. Then that demonic bastard Stinkmeaner fucked it all up! Jazmine had told Huey numerous times that all he got to do was take her top and bra off, and he didn't get anything else. But Huey never believed that for he always had to think the worse, no matter what. Ever since that day, he's acted more like a dad to her than a boyfriend, and she was sick of it! That's the reason why Jazmine would always get involved with those arguments with Cairo, because if it weren't for that day, maybe Huey wouldn't still think of her as just some such kid. When Jazmine first saw Ming, she could sense how independent and strong she was, so she immediately felt threatened. Upon walking in and seeing her, part of her wanted to break up with Huey on the spot, proving that she wasn't just some dependent parasite leaching off of him. And then he had the nerve to kick her out of the niggaism?! Hell, she should have broken up with him then and there. She was just about to head down to give him a piece of her mind, but then she saw the monitor of outside and her jaw dropped. Riley, like a dumbass, had forgotten to close the elevator down into the garage. Now, there were ten soldiers standing outside, one of whom looked like a goddamn cyborg!

"Oh Shit!" Jazmine screamed in horror.

Bam! Finally done with this chapter! I've been dealing with writers block for a few months, so it's a relief to have this chapter finished. It's also great that I have a lot more awesome ideas for the next one! Remember to review!
