Chapter 6
I'm back again! Hope you enjoy this one too! As you can see, I'm a man of my word (you know, other than all those other times I said the new chapters would be coming soon)

Control Room
Jazmine could do nothing but stare at the monitor, cursing underneath her breath. Any moment now, they would all enter in that elevator, and lower themselves down into their underground Safe Haven. Yet none of them moved into it. She looked at the monitor and all of them seemed confused. Jazmine immediately realized why they weren't entering and smiled. The elevator could only be lowered through the voice command system, which had a password that no one would likely guess. Jazmine also knew that they could still find a way to lower themselves down. Huey had made her read an article about the Chinese hacking capability, and knew that if anyone could find a way to manually override the system. Her first instinct was to tell Huey. She got up from her chair and was halfway to the spiral staircase that also connected the floors when she stopped herself. If she told Huey about this and he took care of this for her, he would never see her as anything more than a child. She would be confirming his belief that she was weak and pathetic. But how else could she protect the group from these ten highly trained soldiers? She walked up the stairs, passed the bedroom floor where Huey was and continued to the armory. Once in there, she picked a rifle from off the wall, and added in a magazine. 'If anyone's going to take them on' Jazmine thought to herself 'it's gonna be me'
…
The Van
They were all seated around the van, waiting for someone to say something. Caesar looked toward BJ; BJ looked toward Ming; Ming looked toward Tatiana; Tatiana looked toward Riley; Riley looked toward Cindy; Cindy looked toward Hiro; Hiro looked toward Ming; Ming looked toward Caesar; Caesar looked toward Tatiana; Tatiana looked toward Hiro; Hiro looked toward BJ; BJ looked toward Cindy; Cindy toward Tatiana; Tatiana toward Caesar; Caesar toward Riley; Riley toward Ming; Ming toward Hiro; Hiro looked toward Caesar; Caesar looked toward BJ; BJ looked toward –
"ENOUGH ALREADY!" Hiro screamed jumping up, startling everyone. "We've been sitting here for like two hours just staring at each other! Are we going to say anything or what?"
"It's called creating effect, asshole" BJ muttered. "And you should probably tell me what happened first,"
"Well," Ming said nervously. "The Chinese are here because their after me since I escaped imprisonment in Beijing. Now, thanks to Joe Biden, they also want to take over the entire country,"
"Wait, so that's why dis shit is happening'?" BJ asked surprised "I thought for sure it had something to do with Uncle Ruckus sayin' crap 'bout Asians. Shit, I was way off"
"Okay, so what's happened with you?" Cindy asked.
BJ took a deep breath, and adjusted his eye patch.
"On the day of da invasion, I skipped first period ta try da new breakfast at Taco Bell. When I finished puking ma guts out, dose niggas tried ta jump me. One dem mo'fuckas stabbed ma eye out, so den I went gansta on dem and lit dem sorry as mo'fuckas up, but dat bastard who did this" he said, pointing to his eye patch "managed ta slip out,"
Caesar, while he was interested in BJ's story, still saw decided to change course to the main issue that he had wished to inquire on. "So BJ, do you have any idea where their keeping everyone?"
BJ gave Caesar a shocked look, "Wait, you don't know?" Riley looked up in horror. Whenever BJ talked in his normal white dialect, bad shit was going down. He practically jumped to him and held him up by his collar.
"Ben-Jerry Harrison, you tell me what happened to ma Granddad, or I'll stomp yo' pale Cyclops ass!" Riley said, with a fearfully desperate tone. BJ's eyes widened in horror.
"No, no, no! Don't tell them-"
"You're name's Ben Jerry?!" Hiro said laughing, as Tatiana and Caesar smirked, while Ming also giggled. Cindy laughed a little, but stopped once BJ glared at her. Riley looked at BJ uncomfortably.
"Geez, sorry man, I didn't mean ta –"
"YA GODDAMN NIGGA!" BJ screamed as he tackled Riley to the ground. They both rolled over a few times, punching and kicking each other. Neither had a clear advantage for more than a few seconds, for both had a similar build; tall and all muscle but still relatively scrawny.
"Tellin' dem all how ma fatass parents named me afta ice cream! I'll kill ya' nigga! I'll kill ya'!" BJ screamed, wrapping his hands around Riley's neck. Riley then flipped him over, causing Ming to literally have to dive out of the way. When BJ stood up, he saw that Riley was about ready to jump on him, so he moved to the side, making Riley go through the backdoor. BJ then dived after him, causing them to continue their fight in the snow.
"Should we stop them?" Ming asked concerned.
"Nah, they're always doing this shit about something stupid," Caesar explained. "But to be honest, the two of them are like brothers. One or both of them would probably have to get paralyzed for them not to forgive each other after five minutes, and even then they'll probably just use it as an excuse for some wheel chair race. Essentially, their a couple of violent, womanizing, profane five year old," This went on for several minutes, until everyone got bored of the spectacle
"I'll take care of it," Caesar said, as he went outside and grabbed Riley off of BJ. BJ continued to punch Riley in the gut, then Riley head butted him, his forehead hitting against BJ's eye.
"Ouch! Dammit man! Right in ma eye! I ain't got no back up, bitch!"
"Both of you idiots shut the hell up!" Hiro shouted at both of them. "Now BJ, what were you saying before,"
BJ blinked. "Ouch! Dammit m-"
"Not that, you moron! What were you talking about in the van
BJ took a deep breath "Okay, so afta y'all disappeared, dey rounded up everyone an' moved dem' ta Chicago. The Wunclers, Mr. Freeman, Hiro n' Caesar's parents, dere sister, Tatiana's Grandma, Uncle Ruckus, Thugnificent, A Pimp Named Slickback, his hoes, Tom n' Sarah, and da whole rest of da town!"
"Wait," Cindy started. "What about my Mom?"
BJ looked down. "Dat one commanda' dat tackled dat dumbass Biden took her. He said he got some 'special assignment'"
Everyone looked at Cindy with apologetic eyes. However, she merely shrugged
"Don't give me or dat dead bitch any pity, okay?" she said casually. Everyone was slightly taken aback by this, even though they knew Cindy and her mom had a terrible relationship, going back to when Cindy's mom divorced her dad, and then had sex with the judge to get full custody.
"So how we gonna do the niggaism?" Tatiana asked.
"I don't know, but I'd be more concerned with da girl stealing your hub caps," BJ pointed out casually. Everyone then turned around, seeing an Asian girl with a red streak in her hair wearing a hoodie and torn up jeans taking the tires off their van. It was an odd choice to be wearing with a half of foot of snow outside with more coming down, but all the group could focus on was the fact she had just tried to sabotage their only means of transportation.
"What da hells yo' problem, hoe?" Cindy barked at the new comer for her attempted theft, slamming her against the side of the van. The Asian girl's eyes lit up with fear and confusion. Right before Cindy could punch her, Ming grabbed back on her arm, and turned Cindy towards her.
"What da hell Ming?! Can't you see I'm tryin' ta hit dis hoe?" Cindy asked annoyed.
"Yes, and that's exactly why I'm stopping you," Ming said to Cindy, "We can't just punch her in the face and leave her here!"
"Because…?" Cindy asked, unsure what the point was behind Ming saying this.
"Because this girl has seen our faces, while there is a chance that those soldiers didn't know exactly who we are. For all they know we could have been just some random thugs, plus the fact the confusion of the fire fight could have stopped them from getting a clear look at us. If the Chinese get a hold of her, we're all screwed!" Ming exclaimed.
"Oh, girl why didn't you say that in the first place?" Cindy asked, loosening her grip on the newcomer. "So, now what should we do with this hoe?"
"The way I see it, we got two options," Tatiana said.
"What are you talking about girl? We need to take her back to the Safe House," Hiro said, looking just as confused as the rest of the group did, until Tatiana grabbed Cindy's baseball bat.
"That's option one," Tatiana said, getting ready to hit the girl when Riley immediately grabbed her arm.
"Hey let go of me!" Tatiana screamed into Riley's face. Even though Riley's face was still half covered with snow and Tatiana sounded mad as hell, he remained unfazed and kept the same amount of intensity in his glare as Huey does.
"So you ready to crack da whip on this hoe just cause she tryin' to survive, yet you jump ta save a stone cold fatass killer? What da hell is wrong with you?"
Tatiana glared at Riley. "First of all, you idiot, I'm not going to kill her. If I was, why would I use a baseball bat? I was going to knock her out and by the time she woke up we'd be gone and she'd probably think it was some weird dream, which we definitely can't do now 'cause of you blowing it-"
"Pause!" Riley, Cindy, and BJ simultaneously interjected, and they all fist bumped triumphantly. Tatiana scowled at the three freshmen's immaturity and continued.
"Second, you were the one who announced to the world you had a clear shot. I was just saving your ass before the Chinese put a bullet in whatever is in your skull where a normal person's brain would be,"
"Trust me; it would have been worth it if Lamilton would die too. That son of a bitch is more violent n' crazy than an NFL playa in the offseason," Riley argued back at her, then muttered to himself. "Damn Adrian Peterson, screwed up ma' fantasy team."
"Both of you chill out," Caesar commanded. "We don't have time for this, with Ruckus no longer a realistic option, we need to find a way to find another way to do the niggaism on Cairo,"
That's when the girl spoke. She did so shyly; still afraid that Tatiana or someone else would kill her if she said something they didn't like. "I-I think I can help you,"
Ming raised an eyebrow. "Help us with what?"
The girl cleared her throat. "My father worked as a pastor, and he specialized in expelling spirits from people. He always had me around during it, saying that my innocence would protect us both from any evil," she then paused, tears running down her face. "That didn't help very much when one of those monsters murdered him,"
Everyone looked at her with sympathy, even Tatiana. BJ, however, could not help but notice how beautiful she was. She had a sweet ass and a decent set, especially for an Asian. She also had that sexy innocent schoolgirl look that made BJ crazy for Asian chicks. BJ did realize these were not the most appropriate line of thought when a chick just says her old man was dead, but damn, that girl is so fine!
"So you think you can help us cure our… friend," Caesar said, not sure if he should really describe Cairo as his 'friend'. Caesar was the only one who knew the whole story about what happened with Jazmine. Before today, everyone thought that Cairo had just tried to get to first base, except for him, Huey, Jazmine and Cairo. No one else had known that he tore Jazmine's shirt off. Caesar helped to get Jazmine's shirt before anyone else saw while Huey beat Cairo to a pulp. Not even Hiro, Tatiana, Riley, Cindy, or anyone else knew all the details until today. Caesar understood that Cairo wasn't in control of his actions, but still hesitated to fully forgive him. However, he couldn't come up with another word to describe him.
"I can try," the girl said shyly.
"Then hop on in." Caesar smiled at her. The girl's frightened expression turned into a relieved smile, but then looked past over his shoulder and gasped. Coming into her view was two heavily armed military with the Chinese flag painted across the sides that were still far out but heading their way. Everyone looked in horror, except for Hiro who simply went into the back of the van, pulled up the secret compartment on the floor, and sighed in relief at what he saw.
"Good thing we didn't put this beauty away," He said as he picked up the Bazooka and loaded a rocket in. He stumbled taking it out, but after getting adjusted to its weight, he held it and aimed it towards the direction the cars were coming.
"What da hell you doin' nigga?" Riley asked.
"Getting ready to blow these sons of bitches sky high," Hiro said without turning his head, not wanting to disrupt his shot.
"Are you crazy? There's no way you can stop those cars in one shot," Ming told him. Hiro simply laughed.
"There are four things I know how to do: math, DJing, blow shit up, and getting girls!" When Hiro heard the deafening silence behind him, his eyes lit up.
"Holy shit, did I just say that last part out loud?"
"Yeah, yeah nigga!" BJ said laughing. Hiro paid him no attention. He'd be sure to sort things out with Tatiana over what he said later, assuming she was offended. But right now, all he could focus on was getting the perfect shot on these cars. They kept on approaching, but he held steady.
"What are you waiting for, man?" Caesar asked
Three. He counted underneath his breath
"What you doin', fire damn it!" Cindy screamed
Two
"If we die 'cause you, I'm gonna come back from da dead to kill yo' ass a second time!" Riley yelled.
One!
Hiro fired the RPG at the first vehicle, the blast hit right in the front causing for the entire truck to go flying into the air and land on its side, now almost completely engulfed in flames. The driver of the second vehicle tried to swerve to avoid it, yet did not have enough room to do so, and crashed into it.
"Sweet shot," Tatiana said, half shocked and half impressed. Hiro blushed a little bit, but monitored the cars to see if there was any movement coming from within. That was when he saw one person crawling out.
"Ming, Caesar, come with me. You guys wait here!" Hiro said as they went through the snow to the injured man, he was laying on his stomach, his arms shielding his head as his body shook in the snow. They all noticed the man did not appear to be Chinese, in fact he appeared Indian or something similar. Ming eyed him shocked, immediately recognizing him.
"Hey, weren't you the Sikh guy I saved on the plane?" Ming asked, causing the man to look up at her. It was definitely the same guy. He had the same beard length, same turban, same eyes, and also a black eye, which was only worsened by what Ming assumed was a beating by the Chinese. The man slowly got up and upon seeing Ming a large smile appeared on his face.
"Ah, my friend! It is good to see a somewhat familiar face in such… unpleasant times," he stretched out his hand to shake Ming's. "Dr. Harvir Khalsa, at your service,"
"Doctor?!" Hiro and Caesar said in unison. They both stared at Dr. Khalsa. They had a lot of people in their group, but someone with medical experience was not one of them, and would be invaluable to their operations.
"What kind of doctor?" Hiro asked curiously.
"General surgeon, educated at John Hopkins before I moved back to Punjabi province in my home country of India to help run my family's restaurant," he explained.
"You know how to cook too?" Caesar asked amazed. None of them really knew how to cook well in their group, other than Huey's weird vegetarian crap, and it had turned out a lot of the food that they had were all spoiled.
"Yes," Dr. Khalsa said, staring at the three teenagers. "If you request my assistance, I would be greatly honored to assist you in fighting off these parasites,"
"Then come with us," Ming smiled as she led the way back to the group, with Riley, Cindy, Tatiana, BJ, and the Asian girl waiting for them. Riley looked at Dr. Khalsa, and raised an eyebrow.
"Aye, who dis Bin Laden lookin' nigga?" He asked, drawing a bored expression from Dr. Khalsa.
"I'm Sikh, not Muslim," he said, cringing when he said the word 'Muslim'. Riley ignored him and turned toward Ming. "Wait, so you wanna bring dis fool back wit' us too? We got enough people back dere eatin' our food, usin' our power, our showers, our…" Riley stopped himself in midsentence, his eyes widening "Holy shit, I've become Granddad,"
Cindy looked over to him "You betta not be bangin' as many random ass hoe's as dat nigga. If ya give me an STD Imma shoot yo' ass"
Riley smiled at her. "Don't worry C-Murph, I already got da hottest white woman, why would I need ta bang a bunch of hoes dat are just gonna steal all ma paper?"
"Niggas, you's both gay," BJ smirked. Riley turned to him.
"Hey, you da one who ain't getting' laid you gay nigga," Riley shot at him.
"Well den' Cindy's gay den," BJ said. Before either Cindy or Riley could respond, Hiro shot a single bullet up into the air before it could roll out of hand. "Would you three shut up?".
"Make us!" The three said in unison. Hiro conceded defeat and just rolled his eyes as they all piled into the van. The last two to enter were Ming and the girl. But before they piled in, Ming stopped her. The girl seemed nervous and confused.
"I'm sorry, but I don't think I caught your name. What was it?"
The girl, who had stood stiffly, relaxed and told her with a smiled. "May,"
"Okay then, hop on in," Ming smiled back as she let her back on. But as soon as May entered, Ming's smile faded away. There was something about this girl that gave her déjà vous, but she knew she'd never seen her in her life. Ming shrugged, and got into the car, ready to go.
…
Riley's room
"DIS ALL YA GOT, BITCH ASS NIGGA?!" Cairo/Stinkmeaner screamed at Huey. They had been locked into this fight for a while all ready, and unlike last time Huey had fought him six years ago it was even. Huey found that while Stinkmeaner was in control, he had managed to incorporate some moves that would be normally be done by Cairo. However, he never once tried to touch Cleopatra.
"Hey Cleopatra, I could use a little help here!" Huey yelled.
"I would, but it's almost like he can't…" Cleopatra's eyes lit up, and she took off her cross and held it out towards Cairo. "Be gone, Satan!"
Cairo/Stinkmeaner immediately stopped in his tracks and began to shake. Huey, however, just shook his head.
"It won't work," Huey said coldly; ignore the obvious effect it was having on Cairo/Stinkmeaner as he spoke.
"Huey, please! I need you to believe!" Cleopatra begged him, as the effect on Cairo/
"Me? Why would you need me to believe something that doesn't exist?" Huey asked bluntly.
"Matthew 13:58, He could perform no miracles there because their faith was little," Cleopatra screamed, but at that point it was already too late. Stinkmeaner had completely retaken control of Cairo's body, and began to curse out Cleopatra.
"OH, LOOK LIKE YO' LITTLE MR. T NYUGGA DIDN'T WORK OUT, HUH YA BITCH ASS NYUGGA! HEY, HAS ANY NYUGGA EVA TOLD YA LOOK LIKE HUEY WITH DAT BIG ASS AFRO NYUGGA? HOPEFULLY YA DON'T HAVE THAT MUCH HAIR ON YO' PUS-"
"I'LL KILL YOU!" Cleopatra screamed, tackling Stinkmeaner/Cairo to the ground, catching him by surprised. She then got up and started stomping him in the nuts.
"Nobody talks that way about my hair!" She screamed as she kept on kicking and kicking him. Even after he had fainted, she still wouldn't stop kicking him in her blind fury until Huey pulled her off. At first she tried to resist, but once Huey pulled her off she calmed herself.
"Thanks," she said to him, still breathing heavily, to which Huey nodded in response.
"Don't mention it," Huey said, but still got the feeling Cleopatra wanted to ask him about something, which she eagerly confirmed.
"Why don't you believe in God?" she asked curiously. Huey just glared.
"I don't want to talk about it," he growled, and that ended the discussion. Yet Cleopatra stroked her hand through her hair apprehensively.
"Is what he said about my hair true?" She asked.
Huey shrugged. "Looks fine to me,"
Cleopatra smiles a little bit but then looks around. "Huh," Huey raises an eyebrow. "What'd you mean 'huh?'"
Cleopatra shrugged. "I just guessed with all the noise Stinkmeaner must have just made that Jazmine would have came back by now to see what's up,"
Huey's eyes lit up and he bolted toward the door. Cleopatra couldn't catch him so she sighed and followed.
Outside
"Commander Chow, do you copy?" Aiguo, the cyborg former friend of Ming barked into the radio, which was not receiving any service. "Repeat Commander Chow!"
The other soldiers stared bored, and one arrogant one begins to mouth off. "Why can't we just storm in their ourselves and begin wasting them" he said in Chinese, making Aiguo scowl. He turned to him angrily, but thought he saw something in the snow. He turned on his inferred eye, but did not see anything from it. Even though there was snow it should still work in theory. "We're soldiers, not commanders! Also, I thought I told you to speak English! We're going to be in this country for a while, and those Americans wouldn't bother learning our language if their lives depended on it,"
The soldier shot back at him. "Or you just want to learn the language to run off with your old comrade Min-"
Fury showing in his one human eye Aiguo used his cyborg hands to lift up the soldier and screamed at him. "DON'T YOU EVER, EVER, DARE ACCUSE ME OF TREASON, MAGGOT!". Aiguo waited to hear the soldier scream his apology, but heard nothing as he held him. Then he noticed the blood dripping to the ground from the soldier. Aiguo released him in shock, and the limp corpse fell to the ground. He looked over to his men and saw their horrified expressions. Aiguo had yet to realize just how strong he was or how to control his strength. However, he then heard an engine in the distance. He looked over, his shoulder, and saw a van coming toward them. "Rifles at the ready!" he barked to the men, who after a moment of hesitance obeyed. He was about to scream out 'fire', but he heard a gunshot. He turned to his men to see who discharged early, however saw one lying on the ground dead. Before he could react there was another gunshot, and another one fell on the ground dead. He knew it couldn't have been from the van, so he looked towards the snow bank, and upon further analysis, saw an outline of a person caked in snow. He cursed himself for not noticing, and was about to fire at the snow bank when the car pulls up behind him. He glances into the car and smiles as he puts his hands up.
"You got me," he said passively as they all piled out, guns already drawn. They were all surprised to see an actual cyborg; Caesar even had to make sure he still had his contacts in to believe what his eyes were telling him. Ming saw the non-robotic part of his face and her mind went racing. 'No, it can't possibly be him!' she reassured herself 'Maybe Riley has a point; a lot of Chinese people do look the same,' Jazmine then made her way out of the snow bank. Cindy was the first to notice the dead bodies.
"Dayum girl. You onna roll o' sumdin', cause da Jazmine I know would puke her brains out if even asked to kill as many mo'fuckas you've whacked since yesta' day," Cindy said offering a fist pump to Jazmine. Before Jazmine could respond, the cyborg flipped over to put his hands on Jazmine's shoulders. Everyone raised their guns, but the cyborg scoffed.
"Anybody move and she di-"Just then, Huey came up from the base with Cleopatra, and roundhouse kicked the cyborg in the head, causing him to release Jazmine who ran towards the side. Aiguo quickly recovered from the hit, and laughed "Is that the best you got, afro?" Both the cyborg and Huey took fighting stances. Huey quickly assessed his situation and examined his surroundings. He noticed that while most of the Chinese soldiers had been shot, one's neck was cracked. There were no blunt objects lying around that could have cause that injury, so he could only infer that the cyborg must have done it. Any hit from the cyborg could prove to be fatal. However, he picked on a few other things. The right side of his face, his torso, and from his left knee up were all still flesh. If he had any hope of winning this fight, he'd need to target those specific areas. They charged at each other, and he put his plan into action. The cyborg threw the first punch, which if Huey hadn't ducked would have without a doubt killed him. Huey then punched the cyborg in the stomach, causing Aiguo to stumble back. Furious, the cyborg jumped up and attempted to kick Huey. However, as he jumped Huey slid and sent a punch to the upper left part of his leg. When Aiguo landed he clasped the leg in pain. Huey took this window of opportunity to drop kick the right side of the cyborgs face, causing him to fall over. Huey then got on top of him, and began punching the same part of his face again and again until he was unconscious.
Jazmine breathed a sigh of relief until she saw the look of disappointment Huey flashed her way, causing her to look down. She hated when it was like this. When she was a little girl, she always thought of Huey as her knight in shining armor, but now it was just an irritating reminder of her own weakness. Cleopatra was too stunned and confused to speak, yet Huey calmly assessed the situation.
"What the hell happened up here?" Huey asked, glancing at the bodies, the cyborg, and then finally the three new people. "Okay, who the hell are these three,"
"Hey, nigga. Don't recognize yo' man just 'cause he gotta eye patch on?" BJ asked. Huey rolled his eyes. "Ugh. You're still alive," he groaned. It was the white version of Riley and dude version of Cindy, now fully equipped with a goddamn eye patch.
"Hey don't say yo' gay hatin' ass ain't glad!" BJ said with a toothy smile. "If it weren't fo' me, Riley, and Cindy, yo' life be dull as all hell!"
"Believe me, I dream about that almost every night," Huey said back, turning to the next two survivors. "You two I'm sure I don't recognize,"
The Asian girl spoke first. "M-may," she said still staring at the cyborg on the ground. Then the Indian man with the turban spoke. "Dr. Harvir Khalsa,"
Huey raised an eyebrow and turned to the original group members. "Why the hell are they here? I specifically said to go in, get Uncle Ruckus, and get out. What's so complicated about that?"
"Well, it actually is pretty complicated," Ming said speaking in their defense. "Ruckus got sent to some facility in Chicago, and so did everybody else who was lucky enough to be allowed to live," she then muttered under her breath "Or unlucky enough,"
"And Granddad?" Huey asked, concerned.
Riley smirked. "Yeah-yeah. Dat ole' nigga still kickin'"
Huey took a small sigh of relief. "But what do we need them for?" he asked.
"Dr. Khalsa is a doctor and can cook, and May's s dad was a minister who did exorcisms. She can substitute for Uncle Ruckus, and BJ…" Hiro paused, trying to think how BJ, who was essentially a younger Ed Wuncler III, was useful. A light bulb finally went off "We needed a white guy,"
Huey couldn't argue with any of these three points, and decided to move on, he then looked towards the cyborg, who he noticed was still breathing but not conscious. "A prisoner is going to be useful now. You all did a pretty damn good job at killing these sons of bitches,"
"Dat wasn't us," Riley revealed to his brother. "Dat was Maria Carey right here," he said patting Jazmine on the back.
"Jazmine?!" Huey said shocked, looking at his girlfriend. "That was so…"
Jazmine could wait to hear what praise Huey would give to her. What would he say? She thought to herself: So brave? So awesome? So amazing that I want to propose to you right here and now? Okay, maybe it's not that last one, but you can't blame a girl for having hope.
However, Huey's shock quickly morphed to anger. "Stupid!"
Jazmine looked at him, feeling completely shattered and shocked "W-what do you mean?!"
Huey was furious "You decided to go up here guns blazing with ten highly trained soldiers and the Asian RoboCop by yourself? Are you out of your mind?"
Jazmine thought about just apologizing, but then decided not to step down. She was finished with Huey fighting all her battles and being treated like a little kid. She was taking a stand right here, right now.
"If I hadn't done that, they could've gotten in or shot at the van. We're all still here!" Jazmine screamed back at him.
"A bit of dumb luck don't mean that dumbass decisions are okay!" Huey countered , matching the volume of Jazmine. The rest of the group were insanely uncomfortable. Huey and Jazmine had just earlier that day appeared perfectly fine, and now seemed to despise each other. "You should have just came to me and-"
"Enough!" Jazmine screamed
Huey stopped dead in his tracks, surprised at Jazmine's boldness "I don't have to get your approval on anything! For six years I've done nothing but care about you, listen to you, and hell, even love you! And what the hell did you do? Treat me like an ignorant stupid little kid, and no matter what I've done that hasn't changed! Here's a newsflash: I ain't your kid, and I ain't your baby sister. I'm your fucking girlfriend! You start treating me like that, or were done!"
Huey said nothing, completely shocked by Jazmine's fury. However, unfortunately for Huey, he always had a kneejerk reaction to smirk every time Jazmine got really worked up, and before he could stop himself, it was too late. Jazmine looked down hurt and disgusted when she saw his face. Tatiana tried to approach Jazmine, but she just shrugged her off. Tatiana backed away respectfully, and continued to look at the display. Jazmine angrily flipped Huey off and pushed right past him like he was just an annoying obstacle in her way. Before she went down to the Safe Haven, she gave one last glare at Huey, a few tears streaking down her face. "Go to hell, Freeman!" she snared as she went back down.
Huey stood there in shock. It felt like he was stuck in a nightmare of his own making. He didn't mean to smirk, he was just shocked. He didn't know why, but recently he'd been getting really nervous around Jazmine, and would always say and do stupid things he would never otherwise do. And now it appeared he'd just screwed up beyond repair. He snapped out of his trance and turned towards the rest of the group, who appeared just as shocked as he was. "Let's get this cyborg down there and strap him to something," Huey said, trying to remain cool and collected. The cyborg was far heavier than it appeared due to all the metal so he, Caesar, Harvir, Hiro, Riley, and BJ all carried the cyborg into the elevator. The one thing that no one noticed, not even Huey, was the tear drop streaking down his face.
…
Riley knew a room they could put him in that Gin Rummy and Ed would usually hold all their hostages in to chain them up.
"Wait a sec," Caesar said to Riley. "Why didn't we put Stinkmeaner in here?"
"Because I was half fuckin' asleep when we caught Stinkmeaner, dat's why. Give a nigga a break, would ya?"
After that was finished, they went up to help May prepare. While everyone else was setting up for the niggaism, Ming and Tatiana both decided to go talk to Jazmine. Before they could knock on her door, Tatiana took Ming aside. "I just thought it would be fair to warn you," Tatiana said. "Whenever her and Huey have gotten into fights before, she takes it hard,".
Ming smiled at Tatiana. "Don't worry. This is my first time dealing with helping a friend with her 'boy problems,'. This is so exciting!" she said, uncharacteristically enthusiastic. Tatiana was surprised by the girl who had proven herself to be a badass to be so excited about something as trivial as high school relationship drama. She tried not to look at her strangely, fearing she'd offend Ming, and instead just began knocking on the door. They had both expected to hear Jazmine crying and pleading with them to go away before she would relent by opening the door. However, Jazmine was the one who answered the door, lookin completely normal. There was one new trait that shocked both of them: Jazmine had straightened her hair. Her once out of control and poufy hair was now neat and flowing. And somehow, despite everything that had happened, she was smiling.
"Hey guys," She said happily. "Are May and everyone else ready to start the niggaism?"
Tatiana and Ming both looked at each other, confused by her giddiness. Ming frowned at Tatiana.
"I thought you said Jazmine would need us!" Ming pouted in disappointment. "I thought I was finally going to get to partake in the coveted Western social convention of 'girl talk'! The closest to it I ever got in China was when the other girls on the kickball team would share the same hotel room, and even then we'd spend most of the time threatening to kill each other,".
"Ming that is what girl talk always dissolves into," Tatiana assured her.
"Oh," Ming said surprised, and then grinned. "Nailed it!"
"Uh, guys?" Jazmine butted in, getting them both back on track.
"So wait, your okay after breaking up with Huey?" Tatiana said, not meaning to sound as shocked as she did. However, Jazmine's happiness remained unbroken despite a slight twitch when she heard Huey's name.
"Why would I be upset? I'm free!" Jazmine beamed. Ming looked at her perplexed.
"Okay, either you mean that figuratively, or my knowledge of American History is way off,"
Jazmine giggled at Ming's difficulty understanding American culture before clarifying. "No, silly, I mean I'm free from liking Huey. For six years of my life I've been infatuated with him no matter how badly he treated me, and it's only today that I realized I don't need him! I was the one who saved the group today. Not him, the great Black Dynamite wanna be, but me. I feel so independent now! It's like I'm Elsa in Frozen!"
"What's Frozen?" Ming asked confused. The other two looked at her in shock, until they both remembered that she was still locked up when that movie came out. Tatiana was the first to speak. "Okay, tonight, you and me, movie night. I need to show you that movie,"
Ming smiled. She finally felt herself starting to bond with a member of the group, other than Huey and Caesar, of course. Seeing as they were once more off track, Jazmine butted in again.
"Um, I hate to break up your little – wait, what's the girl version of 'bromance?'" asked Jazmine. Both Tatiana and Ming shrugged, and Jazmine sighed. "Whatever. Anyway, I know you guys thought I'd be devastated by now, but I'm doing just fine. Right now, all I want to do is to go and see that jerk Stinkmeaner sent back to hell and for Cairo to be brought back,"
Jazmine walked right past them, and they looked at each other, eye brows raised. Ming spoke. "Either Jazmine's one hell of an actress, or she's moved on," Tatiana, however, shook her head in disbelief.
"I've known Jazmine since middle school. I never thought I'd live to see her not want to have anything to do with Huey,"
"Yeah," Ming said. "It's been a weird day,"
Tatiana smirked "You have no idea,"
"What do you mean?" Ming asked, confused. Tatiana bit her lip, with a guilty expression on her face. Ming felt as though Tatiana wanted to tell her something. However, Tatiana soon shook off her guilty look.
"It's nothing, never mind. Let's just get to Cairo," Ming gave her a skeptical look before following her into the room.
When they walked in, they couldn't help but look astonished when they saw the room. There were dozens of candles lit in the room, acting as the only light source, other than the electrocardiogram that Dr. Khalsa had hooked up to Cairo. May wore a hoodie, which in the limited lighting looked like some sort of robe that in the limited light looked like cult robes. She was clutching a book that Ming assumed was a Bible. Dr. Khalsa gave her a thumbs up.
"All the vitals are good to go," Dr. Khalsa announced. "All we need his for him to wake –"
"WHO DA HELL ARE ALL DESE NEW BITCH ASS NIGGAS!" Cairo/Stinkmeaner screamed fury in his eyes.
"-up," Harvir ended his sentence. As Cairo/Stinkmeaner continued to spew insults at all of them, Huey turned to Ming and Caesar, trying to avoid Jazmine's gaze while doing so. "Just fair warning, these niggaism things can last hours, so-"
Just then, May pulled out her book and held it up to Stinkmeaner/Cairo's face.
"Read nigga!" She yelled "Read!"
Stinkmeaner/Cairo immediately stopped screaming and instead shut up and looked horrified. May began to chant something in an unidentifiable language. Suddenly, the book began to glow and the spirit of Stinkmeaner began to be sucked out of Cairo's body, throwing Cairo into convulsions.
"NOOOOO!" he screamed as his spirit entered the book. The power kept on going haywire and the candles all went out during his attempts of resistance, until he was finally caught within the book. May struggled with it at first, but then managed to finally close it after a few moments. Upon doing so, Cairo's body went limp. They all looked at the electrocardiogram, which was unfortunately out due to the surge. Dr. Khalsa took a deep breath and approached the bed. Before he could test Cairo's heart rate, however, Cairo bolted up in shock, panting and sweating.
"Wha – Where the hell am I?" He stammered, confused. All he could see were their outlines. But, almost immediately the power got back on. He scanned around the room is eyes widened. Before he could say anything, he went back down and winced with pain.
"Oh my God!" he moaned in agony "Why does my crotch feel like someone was curb stomping it?"
Huey looked over Cleopatra, who let out a nervous laugh. Fortunately, Cairo didn't notice it and began to ask questions.
"What happened? Why don't I feel angry anymore?" He paused before he asked the last one "How much do you guys know?"
Huey then proceeded to explain everything that had happened, and that they knew he never meant to hurt Jazmine. Cairo looked down in pain and sadness, but on the inside he felt relieved that he didn't have to explain it to them. It was better to get that out of the way now. But he still needed to say one last thing.
"Jazmine, Huey, I just want to say something to you guys," Cairo said looking back at forth at both of them, not noticing how uncomfortable they both looked.
"Oh Cairo," Jazmine said, hoping he'd stop. "I really don't think-"
"No," Cairo said. "It is. I want to just say that even though I had a crush on Jazmine in the past, it's over now. Huey, you are my friend, and believe when I say that I vow never to touch your girl. I've already found my perfect girl" he said with a head nod toward Cleopatra, who blushed. "like you've found your perfect match. Both of you balance one another out. Hell, you two were like tailor made for each other. I only wish that my relationship with Cleopatra will be as strong and loving as your own. You care about each other more than yourselves. Your loves like Romeo and Juliet, except without the suicide and the goddamn Old English. To sum it all up, you're relationship is truly perfect, like you are to each other,"
Cairo finished his mini speech, and looked around the room to see a sea of uncomfortable looking faces. Even the Indian guy and Asian broad he didn't recognize looked like they felt awkward. "Did I overdue it?"
Jazmine waved her hands, not wanting to offend Cairo. "No no! It's just that-"
"We literally just broke up a half hour ago," Huey finished for her.
"Oh," Cairo said, now feeling just as awkward as everyone else. The only thing that broke it was Tatiana tapping May on the shoulder.
"Hey, would you be able to do another niggaism?" Tatiana asked hopefully. May looked at her with a slightly annoyed expression. Wasn't this the same bitch that had just threatened to bludgeon her with a baseball bat? May took a deep breath before responding. "On who?"
"Lamilton Taeshawn," she said as everyone gasped in shocked, except for Tatiana, Cleopatra and Dr. Khalsa.
"Who?" Dr. Khalsa asked.
"A crazy ass mofo who way past da point o' redemption," Riley hissed. Tatiana then stared them all down.
"Look Riley, you said it yourself in the past. Lamilton has way to much hate inside him to be fully human. We get whatever demon he has out, and we're in good shape," Tatiana said. Before Riley could fire back at him, Hiro stepped forward.
"She's right guys," he said. "It's worth a shot,"
Huey looked over to Caesar. "Caesar, would you mind talking some sense into your brother?"
"Brother?" May, Ming, Cleopatra, and Harvir said in unison. Harvir looked back and forth between the black and Japanese teen until he let out a sigh. "I…I don't see the resemblance,"
"We were both adopted by the same family, and we knew each other practically our whole lives at the orphanage," Caesar explained, and then looked at Hiro very seriously. "But he wrong on this one. Even if we find Taeshawn again, its way to dangerous to try and take him as a prisoner. Our best chance would be to shoot him where he stands,"
Tatiana began growling at all of them. "Let's put it to a vote then," Ming suggested. "All those in favor of niggaizing Lamilton," Hiro and Tatiana both raised their hands, yet the rest of the room remained motionless. Ming decided to toss in a pity vote at the last moment but the damage was done. Looking distraught, Tatiana ran out of the room, tears streaking down her face. Hiro immediately ran out after her while the others stayed behind.
"Tatiana what's wrong?" Hiro asked her, but her back was still turned to him. He put his hand on her shoulder. "Why do you even care about this Lamilton jerk any way?"
Tatiana stopped walking and spoke. "Because," she said, turning around. In her eyes was a look of sadness in her eyes that Hiro recognized far too well. It was the same look of fear, sadness, confusion, anxiety and desperation that he and Caesar would wear back at the orphanage whenever they thought they'd be separated. Hiro immediately knew the shocking news before she could say it herself.
"He's my half-brother,"
…
Bet I shocked you huh? Glad to be done; now I'm going to bed. Good night! Please review
