Hello once again my friends and welcome to another chapter of Perfection. I know it has been around a month since I last uploaded but well, life happened and stuff, you know the drill. I thank all of those that left reviews, favorites and follows to my story. It fills my black heart with joy to know that there are people out there that enjoy the twisted makings of my mind. On another note, the pole for the pairing is now officially over! And the winner is... drum roll please... *Severed head rolls across the stage* Well... close enough, anyway the winner is Anko, with 14 votes! Haku came in as a close second with 11 votes, while FemZetsu brought up third place with 8 votes. If anyone was wondering why it was a blind pole, well that's merely because I wanted people to say what they actually want, not the one that they want slightly more and is closer to winning. Don't worry I have plans for Haku (perhaps with a certain dog boy, hint hint).

Alright, enough blathering, onwards to what you are all here for, the next chapter of Perfection!

-Time skip, Academy Graduation day, Naruto age 12-

"Alright class, today is a huge day in your lives, the next step in your journey as ninja. But only a few have what it takes, so today we will be seeing which of you will succeed and which of you need more time." Iruka said to the class as they all listened attentively. Well mostly all, Shikamaru Nara was taking a nap, while Naruto and Kiba talked to each other and Sasuke Uchiha glared out of the window, brooding like always (Everyone looks the same as in canon except for Naruto and Kiba).

"Kiba, Shikamaru, Naruto! Are you listening to me? This is very important!" Iruka exclaimed loudly.

The three mentioned turned towards Iruka, or raised their head in Shikamaru's case. Naruto was wearing a large cloak as usual, however now the cloak was a grey color with streaks of red that were made to look like bloodstains. The cloak had a hood that shadowed Naruto's entire face, only letting the gleam from his eyes through. The cloak now only fell to his mid shins, showing dark grey pants and open toed shinobi sandals the exposed black sharpened toenails that appeared like claws, with his fingernails being the same. Under this cloak he wore a black long sleeve shirt with the kanji for blood on the back. He had a leg pouch on his right leg the same color as his pants and hidden holsters for his weapons. He also had a pair of kusarigama that had seals on the chains that allowed the chain to be lengthened and shortened with the application or removal of chakra, up to a maximum length of about thirty yards (around thirty meters). These weapons were a gift from the Mantis clan and were very important to him, so he kept them wrapped around his wrists at all times.

Kiba's appearance had changed greatly as well. He now wore a black short sleeved t-shirt with the kanji for Feral printed in white on the front. He wore dark blue shorts and had bandages wrapped around his lower legs up to his knees he was barefoot, showing that his toenails were also sharpened like claws, but his were still their natural color. He wore steel grey gloves that had metal claws extending from the tips of his fingers and metal plates on the back. His hair reached down to his shoulders and was heavily spiked. The red clan fang marks on his cheeks had small trails of red coming off of them that looked like dripping blood.

"Yeah we're listening Iruka sensei, sorry we were just talking about who-I mean what we were going to have for lunch." Naruto said with a grin spreading on his face, his jagged teeth seemingly shining from within his hood.

Iruka shivered and said "A-Alright, as long as you're listening now..." Even with the years of exposure that he had with Naruto and Kiba, their... habits still unnerved him greatly. 'I don't think I'll ever really get used to it' He thought. "Now then, first I will take role then we will move on to the written test." Iruka then went through the names of everyone in the class. Everyone was there, as was to be expected, it was graduation day after all.

"Okay, I will now pass out your tests. each of them has fifty questions on it and you will have one hour to complete the test. If you finish early turn over your paper or look for any mistakes you might have made. If anyone is caught cheating their test will not be scored and they will not graduate. Now, once everyone has their test you may begin." Iruka then went about passing out the tests. While he was doing this Naruto thought 'I wonder why they have this test in the first place. When will we ever really need to know things like what the Nidaime Hokage was known for. Oh well, if more people pass because of this then it's just more potential snacks for me...' At this thought he grinned widely, unnerving Iruka as he handed Naruto his test.

Once Iruka had handed out all of the tests he returned to the front of the room and said "Alright everyone, you have one hour, begin." The sound of flipping papers and scratching pencils filled the air and Iruka sat at his desk.

-One hour later-

"Alright everyone, it's been an hour. Please put your pencils down and hand in your tests." Iruka called out to the class. Almost everyone had finished their tests early, with only a few civilian children having a couple questions left to answer. An exception to this was Shikamaru, who had filled out the first thirty-five questions required to barely pass in the first ten minutes of the test, then proceeded to fall asleep for the remaining time.

"Now then, the next test will be the accuracy test. Everyone please follow me to the target range." Iruka then left and all the students followed him. The field that they walked to was a standard clear area with twenty or so target dummies that were shaped vaguely like a human. Each of these dummies had a small target on its head and a larger one on its chest. There was also a straight white line on the ground about twenty yards (roughly twenty meters) away from the targets. Off to the side was a small sparring ground that was pretty much just a white circle on the ground. Iruka turned to them and said "Alright, this test is very straightforward. I will call each of your names in alphabetical order, when I call your name you should come up to the line and you will throw ten shuriken and ten kunai. You receive one point for hitting one of the targets, and two points for hitting the center. Afterwards if you have any other ranged weapons you can use then feel free to show them off for extra credit. Now then, Shino Aburame, please step up to the line."

The test went by relatively quickly, and soon it was Naruto's turn. He walked up to the line, picked up his shuriken and flung them at the target, all of them striking in the center of the target, with five in the one on the head and five in the chest. He then proceeded to do the same with the kunai. After he was done he silently turned to Iruka. "Very good Naruto, a perfect score! Do you have anything else you would like to show for extra credit?" Iruka asked. "Yes I do." responded Naruto as he turned back to the targets. He then suddenly flung his arms forward, his kusarigama flying out of his sleeves towards the one of the dummies. They reached their target and with a movement of Naruto's arms wrapped around it tightly. Naruto then jerked his arms backward and the target dummy came flying off and landed in front of Naruto with several deep gashes in it.

"Very impressive Naruto, you get the extra credit, now would Anona Warashi please come up to the line." Iruka said as Naruto returned to his place next to Kiba while a plain brown haired girl walked up to the line.

"Showoff." Kiba said as he elbowed Naruto in the side, to which Naruto chuckled and said "You bet I am."

The rest of the test was over quickly, with the only outstanding performances throughout being Kiba, who scored nineteen points, Sasuke who received twenty points plus an extra five points for his use of his windmill shuriken, Shino who scored eighteen points and got extra credit for using his Kikaichu, and Hinata, who scored seventeen points and got extra credit for her use of senbon.

"The next section of the test will be the taijutsu section. We will be using the sparring ring over there. The rules are that you have five minutes to score a hit on me or force me out of the ring. No weapons or jutsu may be used, only taijutsu. If you use any other form of combat or are knocked out of the ring yourself you will fail this section of the exam. Now then, once again in alphabetical order, Shino Aburame, you're up."

This test went a bit more slowly than the previous one, with most of the civilian children failing, while the only ones that were outstanding so far were Shino Aburame, Hinata Hyuuga, Kiba Inuzuka, Choji Akimichi and Sasuke Uchiha.

"Naruto Uzumaki, you're up!" called Iruka from the fighting area. Naruto then walked into the ring and stood opposite from Iruka. "Alright, you know the rules, taijutsu only and try to land a hit on me. Now begin!" As soon as Iruka said this Naruto charged at Iruka with speed no academy student should possess. 'He's moving at High-Gennin, no, low-Chunin level!' Iruka thought in shock and just barely dodged a punch from Naruto by jumping backwards. He was then forced to jump over a sweep kick and then back again from the follow up high-kick. 'How is he this fast?' thought Iruka as Naruto once again charged, this time feinting with his right hand, then thrusting his left hand at Iruka's stomach, which Iruka blocked and responded with a straight right aimed at Naruto's head. Naruto ducked under the fist and into Iruka's guard while lashing out with both fists once again forcing Iruka to jump back. Iruka quickly recovered from his shock at Naruto's skill level and got into a ready stance. He waited for Naruto's next assault, but Naruto did not make a move towards Iruka, instead turning away and saying "Good fight, Iruka-sensei."

Iruka was slightly confused by this until he looked down and realized that Naruto had pushed him out of the ring by forcing him to dodge backwards. Quickly recovering from his confusion, Iruka got out of his stance and said "V-Very good Naruto, full points. Now, would Ken Watara, you're next!" As Naruto was walking back to the group, passing Ken who was an average civilian with brown slicked-back hair, green eyes and was wearing a red shirt with tan shorts and standard shinobi sandals, Kiba approached him and said "Nice!" while giving Naruto a high-five. The two of them then walked back to their underneath a tree and proceeded to talk about fights they had gotten into recently. "I had another spar with my sister Hana yesterday, I was doing well but then one of her dogs bit me on the arm and Hana kicked me out of the ring while I was distracted. I keep getting close but I just can't seem to beat her! It's frustrating!" said Kiba as he grit his teeth and clenched his fists slightly at the memory of his loss. Naruto chuckled and said "Well I'm sure you'll get her one day." The two of them then turned their attention back to the ring just as the last test ended.

"Alright, now everyone follow me back to the classroom for the final test." Iruka said as he walked back to the classroom with everyone else following him. When they got into the classroom Iruka turned to them and said "I will call out a name and that person will come with me into the next room where the test will take place. When you are finished if you passed you will be handed your headband. I will then escort you back to the classroom and take the next person with me. Now Shino Aburame, please come with me."

As Iruka and Shino left the room the rest of the class burst into low voices and conversations about who was going to pass. "So, who do you think is gonna get through?" Kiba asked Naruto "Well, I know that all of the people from clans are going to pass, but other than that I'm not sure, nobody else really stands out, except for Sakura, she'll probably pass off of the written and ninjutsu parts alone." Naruto said as he looked around the classroom. Most of the other students were talking amongst themselves, with the few exceptions being Shikamaru who was sleeping, Sasuke who was staring out the window, Shino who was staring at a bug on his finger and Hinata who was staring at Shino.

After some time it was finally Naruto's turn to be called out of the classroom. He followed Iruka down the hall and into an unused classroom. "Alright Naruto, this test will be of the three basic Ninjutsu that all ninja need to know, now first please perform a Henge (Transformation)." Iruka said as he stood by the wall while Naruto stood in the center of the room. Naruto put his hands together with the sleeves of his cloak concealing his movements and he released a plume of smoke. When the smoke cleared it revealed the form of Mizuki, covered in blood, missing his left arm and his jaw hanging by a few threads of flesh. "A-Alright Naruto, you may dispel the Henge." When Iruka said this another plume of smoke was released from Naruto, which cleared to reveal Naruto with a wide grin seeming to glow out of his hood. "Now please perform the Kawarimi no jutsu (Replacement Technique) on that chair over there." Iruka said as he pointed to a chair that had been set up for the test on near the window. Naruto nodded and with another set of concealed handsigns once again released a plume of smoke and was replaced with the chair, while the chair near the window seemed to remain the same for a few moments to reveal that Naruto had henge'd into the chair while swapping with it at the same time.

"Very impressive Naruto, now for the final part please perform the Bunshin no Jutsu (Clone Technique) . Remember you must make at least two working clones to pass." Iruka said as Naruto nodded to him and did the required handsigns, once again concealed inside his sleeves. There was then a massive cloud of smoke that covered the whole room and caused Iruka to cough slightly. The smoke quickly cleared to reveal around fifty Naruto's standing in the room, all of them perfect replicas of the original. 'I was wondering how he was going to get around the control needed to use the technique, seems he just chose to make a lot of them to increase the chakra requirement.' Iruka thought as the clones all dispelled and left Naruto once again standing alone in the middle of the room. "Very good Naruto, you passed with flying colors! Here is your new headband." Iruka said as he handed Naruto a headband with a black cloth, which Naruto then put inside his cloak and, from what Iruka could tell, put it around his waist like a belt. "Thanks, Iruka-sensei." Naruto said as they both began walking back to the classroom. "You're welcome Naruto, but did you really have to turn into Mizuki like that?" Iruka asked, to which Naruto chuckled a bit and said "No, but it was fun." Iruka then shook his head and opened the door to the classroom where they both walked inside. "Ken Watara, please come with me." Iruka said and then left with said student.

Soon all of the tests were finished and Iruka once again stood in front of the classroom. "The Gennin Exam is now over, all of those of you who passed please come back to this room at noon tomorrow for team assignments. All of those who did not pass, I will see you back here next year. You are all now free to go."

The next day Naruto came back to the classroom after eating lunch at his usual place, the local prison. He came into the classroom and sat in his normal seat. He must have almost been running last because moments later Iruka walked in the room and stood in front of the class, clearing his throat to get everyone's attention. On any other day this would not have worked but today was much too important to the students to ignore their teacher for even a moment, so everyone fell silent.

"Congratulations all of you, you are now official ninja of Konoha! You have just made an important step in your journeys as a ninja, but many trials still lie ahead of you. There may be times that seem hopeless, when it all seems over. When those times come, remember who you are, a proud and strong ninja of Konohagakure no Sato! Never give up and keep moving forward towards your dreams. If you do this then I believe that each and every one of you can become a legendary ninja!" Iruka exclaimed, the classroom erupting into cheers. Iruka smiled proudly at his students as they celebrated, for a few second just watching them happily celebrating. After a moment he once again cleared his throat and raised his hand to get the attention of the class back on him.

"Alright, I will now be announcing this year's teams. Team one will be Ka..." Suddenly the windows all simultaneously exploded, showering several civilian students who couldn't react fast enough with shards of glass. Then a large black ball came flying in the window closest to the front of the class, landing directly in front of Iruka. The ball then burst outward and was revealed to be a large cloth that was then pinned to the ceiling and floor at its corners by kunai, revealing the large words 'The single and sexy jounin instructor, Anko Mitarashi!' Standing in front of the cloth was a young woman wearing a large tan trench coat, a fishnet bodysuit that went from her heck to her mid-thigh, and very short orange skirt. Her hair was black with a hint of blue, which was pulled up into a short and very spiky ponytail, and her eyes were brown with no pupils. She also had a cord-like necklace with a snake fang hanging from it on.

"Alright, which ones of you are team seven?" Anko exclaimed, ignoring the mix of shocked and confused looks she was getting. "Umm, Anko-san, you're early." Iruka said as he sweat dropped at the woman's entrance. "Oh..." Anko then began to blush slightly, but that was quickly stopped when she turned to Iruka and said "Well get on with it then!" Causing Iruka to jump backwards slightly in surprise from her sudden statement. "A-Alright then. Team one will be..." Iruka then began going through the teams, with Anko seemingly annoyed at having to wait. Iruka then got to team seven. "Team seven will be Naruto Uzumaki, Kiba Inuzuka," The mentioned two high-fived at this "and Sakura Haruno. Your sensei will be, well you already know." Iruka at this sent a somewhat annoyed look at Anko, who at least had the decency to look slightly sheepish.

As Iruka was saying this, Sakura's only thoughts were 'Oh no, oh no oh no oh no! I'm going to die!' She then turned to her two new 'teammates' and shivered at the identical predatory grins on their faces.

I must admit I dislike the distinct lack of... well murder in this chapter, but don't worry, I'll make up for it in the wave arc, trust me. *Dark chuckle* I thank you all for sticking with me. I will be starting another fic soon as well, on which work will begin after I post this chapter.
