Last Straw, Anne Boleyn.
A/N: Thank you guys so much for reading this story, it means so much to me. This chapter will be a little crazier for me to write, which is why I'm so giddy to write it lol! The title is "Last Straw, Anne Boleyn" because, I'm sure everyone knows about Anne Boleyn—who doesn't. Well she comes to mind when I think of Nora and Queen Catherine of Aragon is Bonnie only difference is the Queen wins in the end and the Mistress gets exiled meanwhile the King is being replaced and he doesn't like that at all. So that's what this chapter will mostly be, a look back at Bonnie and Nora's tension-filled relationship and Nora's final ending. Sookie also plays the roll of Anne Boleyn in the present day to Bonnie's Queen Catherine. What's I'm going for is despite what history has told us about these two ladies is that the true Queen, Queen Catherine can never be replaced. You made see a little interaction between Bonnie and Catherine in this chapter as well. I guess, every male in this story has Queen Catherine, Queen Anne and Queen Jane in there story.
No mistress becomes Queen
England 1553- Nora Gainsborough, the loose daughter of Duke William and Duchess Elaine Gainsborough. She never took that much pride in herself except when choosing a bed mate for the night. Eric Northman was a new man to court and Nora thought it was time for her to set her trap. So she walked over to the Lord Eric Northman and his wife, Lady Bonnie Northman bowing to them but keeping her eyes on Eric. Pam was too busy draining a servant dry and blaming it on the heat in the kitchen. Typical but smart Pam. The blonde female returned to her vampire family and watched Eric dancing with the young Duchess, Bonnie sat alone drink a glass of wine after glass of wine. She knew where this lead: An unconventional fucking spot and Nora being turned into a vampire and Bonnie would be in bed despising the inevitable. Pam just watched them dance while siting next to a drinking drunken vampire mother. She even listened to the conversation they were having with Duke William.
"Father, this is Lord Eric Northman. I believe he can make an honest woman out of me." Nora declared. Eric gave a frigid smile and turned to Nora.
"I am married to the Lady Bonnie."
"Then we will have her removed from court. Like Queen Catherine. Eric I wish to be with you."
"Nora, you have chosen a married man to wed in hopes to become like Anne Boleyn? Of all people?! I am truly sorry, My Lord, I do not know what has gotten into my daughter. Please forgive her."
"It's quite alright, your grace. I'm sure my wife would like to meet—Pam...where is Bonnie?" Eric commanded.
"How the hell should I know? She's your wife...new mistress?" Pam declared. Eric just rolled his eyes then looked around the ballroom for his wife. Then he spotted her with his maker. Godric.
"Please excuse me, your grace. I've finally spotted my wife." Eric bowed and walked off with Pam two steps behind him.
"If you don't stop Eric, you'll lose your queen."
Eric stopped and looked at his progeny, "I'll stop after I screw over Nora. Bonnie knows I love her."
"Actions speak louder than words dear maker. You screwing every whore than walks in your path doesn't exactly call out "I love you!" now does it? She'll find comfort somewhere else, Eric and you won't like who she finds comfort with. That I can guarantee."
Later that night, Eric walked around garden, he traveled into the woods and saw Godric burying Nora in the ground.
"What...what have you done?!" He demanded.
"What you wanted my child." The older vampire answered then walked away.
~Present day~
"I'm not surprised, Pam. Get the deed to both Lockwood houses. Hold everyone hostage until we get there." Bonnie bidden then hung up her phone. She tossed Damon the key and several clean pairs of handcuffs. "Release and handcuff the fairies. We're going to Mystic Falls. It seems Qetisyah will be released sooner than we thought."
"What's changed?" Damon asked.
"Doppelganger blood. That was the last piece of the blood part of puzzle. Elena Gilbert is alive and I need her blood."
"I thought the doppelganger was dead, Bonnie."
"So did I, Damon. Nora lied and I promise it will be last time she lies to me. To us." Bonnie said. "Gather up the fairies that we have, bring me Sookie. We need to have chat. Queen to mistress." Damon kissed her before going to do what was asked of him, while he was gone; Bonnie let her mind wander back in time to the moment she found love for Queen Catherine and pure hate for Anne Boleyn.
England1526- Bonnie being of Spanish blood was asked by Queen Catherine herself to one of her ladies in waiting and she excepted. She did her hair, her nails, her toes. She dressed her for bed and would keep her company whenever the Queen commanded. They soon became rather close where Catherine could tell Bonnie her greatest fears and deepest secrets. Henry was demanding a divorce so's he could marry Anne, meaning he take away Mary's birth right to the thrown. In Bonnie's eyes, Anne was loose—especially with the things she's heard about her from the French court, even men around the English court was said to have had blissful nights with Anne and her sister. One night the Queen turned to her eldest lady and spoke, "I've been meaning to ask, Bonnie. Why do you not wear your head dress?"
Bonnie turned to the Queen and smiled, "I don't believe in wearing head dresses just because of a silly superstition. I have beautiful hair, I intend to make the world aware of this fact."
Catherine merely smiled, one of the meaning reasons she loved Bonnie so much, Catherine didn't have many friends around the English Court especially ones from Spain so having Bonnie around her for what seemed like the beginning was a comfort to her. "Lord Eric is much like Henry, is he not?" Bonnie fought back tears at the question and masked her pain with smile. If anything—in Bonnie's book, Eric was Henry before Henry was alive.
"He is very much like Henry, your majesty." Bonnie's mask didn't fool the Queen, she wore the same one on a daily basis whenever Henry was with another woman.
"Share with me your woes, Lady Bonnie. It will do me some justice knowing that I am not alone in a cheating spouse boat."
"When I was a younger, I was raped. My mother tried to save me but she couldn't, it seemed to go on for hours—days even," She admitted. "I begged my mother no to watch I begged her not to do anything because it was me that they wanted and I loved my family so much that I couldn't just let her and my siblings get hurt." She smiled through tears, pushing back the urge to sob. Catherine grabbed her hand to comfort her. " Then Eric came and saved us, he killed them all and I know it sounds strange but that's when I fell in love with him. One remained and slit my mothers throat then tried to kill me Eric killed him before he could kill me. We got married a few years later and it was blissful at first. Then came the first Harlot then a second, then a third. I've been trying to put on a face of complete ignorance but it doesn't work in my favor."
"My mother told me that a king never knows he has the perfect queen until she's gone. You Bonnie, are a queen and long after I am gone, I won't you to conduct yourself as one. You are that man's gift from above and if he doesn't see that—while I don't condone vengeance in marriage—you may just have to give him a taste of his own medicine. I see the way Henry looks at Anne, lust—a lot of it. Desire for a son because I no longer can give him what he wants and she has promised him a son. No such thing can ever happen. A guaranteed promise by a fool and accepted by a fool."
When Bonnie looked up Damon was standing in front of her with Sookie and that smile on his lips that made her melt every time she saw it. "Can you leave us, my love. We only talking." Bonnie promised. "Prepare everyone for our trip."
"Where are we going?" Sookie demanded while Damon exited the room.
"Mystic Falls, to answer your question." Bonnie answered. "I have everything I need to release Qetisyah."
"If you do this, she could very well destroy the Fae realm."
"I know. And all the faeries will have nowhere to hide from the vampires. Boo-hoo." Bonnie said sarcastically. "Honestly, Sookie—we should come up with a better name for you—but honestly, do you think I actually care about Faeries? They are manipulative twats that give magic a bad name. And you being a royal halfling...you give love, marriage and sacrifice a bad name."
"This about Eric."
Bonnie scoffed, "You don't hate me, Your majesty. You hate Eric and you're punishing me for it." Sookie pressed on which earned her a slap in the face.
"I hate you very much, Ms. Stackhouse. You annoy me. Your kind disgusts me! But you're right on one account, this is about Eric and soon you will join him. In the ground forever." She declared then took a deep breath. "I've seen the way he looked at you. Lust—never mistake it for love. Desire for what I don't know. Maybe you do represent something has been lost to him for ages. What Eric and I had was never love. It could never be what my first love had and my last love have. Doesn't even come close to to my first love. Though he does hold a special place in my heart because he is my maker—but it is far better and stronger than you two have. You can't even say you love him because you don't." Sookie stiffened at her words. "Like Anne Boleyn, dear Sookie Stackhouse, I know your secrets and your secrets are apart of my heritage. I went to see the one called Alcide. Such a trusting seed, he is."
"What did you do to Alcide, you bitch!" without another word Sookie shot her light toward Bonnie who just held up her hand blocking it without breaking a sweat. She use Sookie's strength against her and threw her into the wall behind her.
She laughed, "Dear young fae. I am stronger than you. I always will be. Two things, one I did nothing to Alcide except what he asked of me. And two the word "bitch" is a compliment to me. Not an insult. Now as I was saying, Alcide knows about your...dates with Eric and asked me to wipe his memory of you and I did just that. He now knows nothing about a Sookie Stackhouse or your family. He doesn't even remember you killing his beloved Debbie."
Sookie's head dropped when she heard the news, Bonnie just laughed at her, sat and crossed her legs. "The problem with the side chick is they never think the main won't do anything except be poor wittle homemaker." She mocked. "I was married to Eric Northman for eight hundred years. I hated when he touched me, felt gross whenever he came inside of me. All because he couldn't keep his dick in the stable. Six years, you were fucking my husband and now I get to fuck the both of you. Hm, this feels nice. But not better than what I did to Nora."
France1557—Nora was still getting use to being a vampire, Godric didn't help her as much as he was suppose to. He even said that he didn't want to her turn. He had his family and he wasn't looking to create more. Eric coached her as much as he could but there was somethings he couldn't teach his vampire sibling. Bonnie pretty much raised herself and passed it along to Pam so he never really could call himself a maker to either of them. While Godric was away, he left Bonnie in charge of Nora. Which gave her nothing but joy because she could torture her and what could Eric do except watch.
"So Nora, stand outside."
"But the sun—"
"Your point? I can stand outside for hours and not burn." She smirked. Of course she could, she had a ring to protect her from the sunlight. She watched her "aunt" travel out into the burning sun, Eric went to stop her but Bonnie just threw him into the wall. Both Bonnie and Pam watched as Nora screamed in utter agony. "Come back inside you senseless moron." Bonnie insulted. Nora dashed inside inside to hide in a corner which was comical for Bonnie. "A child replacing the Queen when she can't handle the sun? The only think Eric has over Henry is that he's smart. But that's about it."
"You—you have rings, don't you? You bitch!" Nora yelled dashed turned Bonnie only to have her neck snapped.
"Thank you for the compliment darling. I do try my best but it's effortless." Bonnie declared stepping over Nora. She turned to Eric and just smiled, it scared him. He saw the change in Bonnie every female he flirted with, slept with it changed her a little more in a scary, terrifying way.
"You're a monster," Sookie announced. Bonnie laughed, standing to her feet.
"No sweetie, I am a woman scorned and hell hath no fury like one. You will be buried next to Eric." She snapped her fingers, Kol and Stefan can to either side of Sookie, grabbing her tightly. "Or you will just poof into faerie dust, hell if I know and damned if I care. You'll both be dead and I enjoy that. I enjoy that a lot. Put her with the others and when you're finished find more. Qetisyah is going to need all the blood she can get. After three thousand years in stone, she'll be thirsty."
One Mission
June 12th 1992-"Are you sure she's the right person for this job? The Doppelganger is essential to the ritual." Damon proclaimed as he and Bonnie walked around the mummified vampires.
"You can't trust Nora with keeping her legs closed Damon, but I'm sure she can trust her with keeping an eye out for the doppelganger. If I could use Katherine, I would but I need pure doppelganger blood. Meaning human not slut bag." Bonnie explained. With Damon's help, they retrieved the Nora's coffin and opened it. She laid there with her veins light blue and visible, her skin light gray. Her dress as dirty as she left it. Bonnie laughed and removed the dagger from her chest slowly.
Nora gasped for air, awakening from her long slumber. "Cut the dramatics, Nora. Meet us at the hotel in an hour. One hour. Or sleep for another three and half centuries." Damon announced.
"I've been asleep for three and a half centuries?"
"That's the consequence you pay for screwing over the Queen of the supernatural world." Damon answered. "No get up and get ready to get pretty. It's the twentieth century and you look terrible."
Present Day- Bonnie sat in a booth with Lexi, Caroline and Pam watching Elena and her friends. "Caroline, you know her and her little...group. Introduce us as your new friends and Lexi if you screw this us for me, watching your ex-husband love another woman will be the least of your problems." Bonnie threatened, Lexi stiffened knowing the consequences of getting in Bonnie's way. That "stay in a child's place." saying was relevant when it came to the younger group of vampires.
"Kai has a thing for women with power. He's a warlock but he absorbs power. I'm told it hurts."
"Like a sponge. You know, that could come in handy. Looks like Lexi is going to have to turn on the charm... if she wants to make it back to the mansion in without the were-bite." she declared with a smile. The were-bite, whenever a full vampire was bitten by a werewolf, they became sick, hallucinated, then died. But Bonnie's bite was worse, you did much more then just get sick, hallucinate and die. You were in agonizing pain like a thousands stakes being shot through your body each one just missing your heart. Then twenty-four hours you didn't feel anything, then the agonizing pain became worse when matched with your fangs falling out, your bones being so brittle if you stood they break on contact. Until Bonnie decided to give you her blood, you were in the fiery pits of hell. Lexi nodded her head.
"Matt, he's Elena's ex, she broke up with him and he's still has feelings for her."
"Boring." Bonnie commented. "Tell me about Tyler."
""He's the Lockwood Werewolf, though he hasn't triggered his curse yet."
"Perfect. Pam go turn a werewolf...make him your pet." the Queen smiled, Pam smirked and disappeared. "Her specialty. She likes to turn werewolves for some reason..." she shrugged. "Caroline, kidnap the doppelganger tonight, please and bring her home. We have two days until the full moon and Qetisyah awaits. Lexi, flirt with the sponge, get him on our side that he will turn on Elena." Bonnie commanded.
"What are you going to do with him once everything is over with?" Caroline asked. Bonnie shrugged.
"Turn him into a vampire out of boredom? Maybe, who knows. While I deal with Nora, I leave you with this... Lexi...you are Anne Boleyn and Caroline is Jane Seymour. I watched it first hand. Jane did nothing to Anne but Anne was so selfish and blind she refused to see what was right in front of her. Karma." Bonnie said and left the establishment, Lexi thought what Bonnie had just say while Caroline went to work. Stefan's was with someone before he was Lexi, a real comparison between the three and Henry, Catherine and Anne that ended with his Catherine dying a horrible death at the hands of the Anne. The Catherine is Stefan's story was the beautiful but looney Lorena Krasiki, Stefan met her in 1789 in Brazil, the family needed a little vacation from the war continuing in Italy.
He was no more than 175 almost two hundred and Bonnie wanted to do something nice for Stefan, especially since he never asked for anything except peace and quiet. Stefan had told that he'd had dreams of going to Brazil, just feeling the sun on his face and relishing in the sun. He desired a little bit of fun and who was she to stand in the way of his fun. Well that's how he met Lorena. It was suppose to be a one night stand but he couldn't stay away from her. During a gathering to celebrate Stefan's birthday, she was dressed in a white dress with a stunning amount of rhinestones though none brighter than her smile. Katherine had just gotten her neck snapped by Damon for getting drunk before the birthday boy and everyone else, she even stripped naked and nearly told everyone that Eric couldn't satisfy her. She was stuffed in the closet where Damon put a spell on the knob, if she touched it she would burn herself and fall back to sleep.
Bonnie stood at the table after breaking Eric's shoulder to give Stefan a birthday speak. She wanted her vampire son to have the best 175th birthday he could possibly have with the nut jobs around him. "May I have everyone's attention, please." Bonnie asked with a smile and her glass in her hand. "Stefan, you are so special to me and our family, I'm so glad we have you. You are the glue that keeps each individual together and trust me after 500 plus years with Eric it's refreshing to have something new and refreshing in our travels around the world." She smiled. "You've met and fell in love with the countess Lorena and I couldn't be more happy for you because while you so special to me Stefan, you are so brooding and stiff and Lorena has been a light in dark areas for you and here you are today, smiling, happy and not just because everyone else is happy but because of your own devices. If I continue, I'll become an emotional wreck and it's already starting," Bonnie declared starting to cry, "Happy Birthday Stefan."
Two hundred and two years later in 1991, after being married for all those years, Alexa Branson a former vampire hunter killed Lorena when she fell in love with Stefan. When he felt his beloved wife die he dashed to Lexi and out anger turned her into a vampire, much like Bonnie with Katherine, he despised her so he didn't lie with her in the ground. That explains why Stefan was so cold to her, why he so easily fell in love with Caroline. Stefan still mourned the death of his wife and hates Lexi for killing her though Lexi herself has no remorse for what she did and probably never will. In the vampire world when someone does what Lexi did; the letters VM are branded into their skin by a witch so everyone will know that the vampire is a killer of their own kind. Still to this day, Bonnie is working on a way to bring Lorena back from the dead and when Bonnie is successful—and she will be successful—Lorena will kill Lexi and when that days comes, she'll gladly take her punishment. Lexi took a deep breath and took Kai out for a wild passionate night. She hadn't had any in fifty years so she might as well get her fix while she still could.
~x "I tried but like everyone I came to like her!"x~
Nora was stripped naked, over her breasts, stomach, legs and ankles was a black strap that was hooked up to a metal box. Hooked to her spine was a long thin string linked to another metal box. Bonnie came downstairs to the basement dressed in black baggy jeans and a tattered top. It was going to get messy in the basement and she didn't want her most expensive clothing getting messed up. "Dearest Nora, twenty-one years ago you told me that the doppelganger was dead. I gave you one chance to redeem yourself, one mission in order to get back in my good graces. I am Queen after all and who wouldn't want to be in my good graces? I thought after three and a half centuries you would learned your lesson but it seems you haven't so," she nudged her head standing next to the mental box hooked to her visible body parts. "I'm going to give you one chance to win back my favor, I'm going to ask you a series of questions and if you don't answer correctly or if I think you're lying I'm just going to turn this little nob here and electrocute you. Then when I'm finally bored, I'm just going to tear out your spine. Before we begin, is there anything you'd like to say?" Bonnie asked.
"I watched her everyday for twenty-one years. I watched her birth, I watched her live her life as if there wasn't a care in the world. Believe me Bonnie, I tried to make that call to you, I did but seeing her love her friends, seeing her love her lovers and family, I couldn't bring myself to make that call knowing that she would die." Nora stated. Bonnie laughed. "I tried, Bonnie. Honestly, I tried but like everyone I came to like her!"
"Oh dear Nora, you're an idiot. You know that? For my ritual I need her blood not her life."
"But...I thought."
"That's just it, Nora! You don't think! I've known about this ritual for eight centuries, I know what I need, I know what I don't need. I know everything about the spell where you know nothing! Do you know how many witches and warlocks have told me that I would need to do the spell under the sun at highrise? Or that Katerina was the last doppelganger? But unlike them I knew the truth because I used the same spell Qetisyah did to look into the future. Of course the future is never certain, so I seen many variations of Ms. Elena and yourself." Bonnie paused and took out a syringe full of a clear liquid then drove it Nora's neck vein. She pushed down on the plunger, breaking the thin straw-like needle off in her neck. "The sad part is Nora, you spent your immortal life in the ground for crossing me and now that's were you'll stay. When you wake up you will be mortal and you will age rapidly until you crumb to dust.
Sadly, Nora you are the Anne Boleyn in this story and this is how it will end for you." With her skin forming around the needle it sped up the process quickly.
~xPhase one: Hallucinationx~
Sookie sat in the prison cell, spacious but it was getting crowded by the second. The witch Damon weakened them with darkness, the cell they were held in was removing their light. How did Bonnie learn about the faeries weaknesses? They even had Queen Mab locked up, had being the active word, a dark flying shadow came and killed her in front of the blonde halfling, drained her of her blood then disappeared as Mab bursts into dust. One of the older faeries Richard was still crying like a little girl so Damon just came in and drove a syringe into his neck vein. What were they going to do to them? How long before they would be dead? The last bit of her light was being drained from her body and it hurt but she wasn't going to give them the satisfaction of seeing her in pain. Her cell door opened two seconds later and there he stood, her hero, her viking God was here to save her. Damon had a stake driven through his heart, Bonnie's heart was missing. Eric picked her up and took her in the cell. Stripped her naked—"Wake up Stackhouse!" Damon commanded. It was just a dreamed, a fantasy. Eric wasn't going to save her. How could he? Alcide didn't even know her and that was her fault. "I'm horny and hungry for Bonnie so watch the faerie whore, I'll be back in a few hours." Damon said to someone leaving without a noise. "More faeries!" Someone announced.
"Whoa! Who knew they were so easy to catch!" Her guard said. Kol Mikaelson. She knew his voice, it scared her but turned her on all the same time. Her cell door opened again and a long thin straw-like needle penetrated her neck, something was pushed in and blood was extracted. Twenty minutes later, Sookie and probably some other faeries were hallucinating.
She pictured herself standing in at an alter in a white dress, Eric was wearing a black tux standing at the other end waiting for her but the more she walked toward him the farther away she got away. Then it started to rain blood. Her dress was ruined so was her bouquet. Sookie screamed as Eric charged toward her with blood around his face.
Sookie woke up in a cold sweat, looking around. She was still being held prisoner.
~xPhase two: Elenax~
"Doppelgangers, Witches, Vampires, Faeries—Caroline what are you talking about?" Elena demanded.
"You know, I always wondered why the hell everyone goes after you and you're so blind to the obvious. Kai, he's a witch; Tyler is a werewolf and you're a doppelganger who is needed in this ritual to bring back the most powerful witch in the world back from the dead."
"So am I suppose to die?"
"No. Trust me, I begged the Queen to kill you but she said you're still needed after the ritual is over."
"I'll do it, just don't hurt Jeremy, please."
"Oh please, like you have a choice. The Queen wants you...alive and I intend to bring you to her as such." Caroline zoomed toward her and drove a needle into her neck. She pushed down on the plunger and pulled out her blood a second later, she broke the straw-like needle in her neck. Elena dropped into Caroline's arms where she heeled Elena's small wound and left without a trace.
Arriving back the Mystic Falls Mansion, Caroline put Elena in a cell and gave her blood to Bonnie. The Queen smiled softly, quietly chanting a spell dressed in a black robe. She turned Elena's blood blue then clear and put it in a cup, she handed it back to Caroline. "Make her drink it. Every last drop, when she wakes up. Until then keep it with you. It's important to the ritual that she drinks it." She commanded. Caroline did as she was told.
~xBirth Rightx~
"Pure werewolf blood. I'd use my own but I'm not a full werewolf. That's why Pam's out turning Tyler Lockwood." Bonnie said.
"Have him kill Nora. She'll be mortal again."
"Yes but for five hundred years, she's lived as an immortal and her blood won't be pure. He needs to kill a human."
"Why are you releasing Qetisyah again?"
"It's a long story but in a way I'm obligated to do so. Three thousand years ago, the faeries took my birth right. I'm just taking it back."
"What birth right, Bonnie?" Damon demanded.
"Every witch and warlock has a birth right. It's powerful energy source that's passed down through generations. For me, my birth right is a crown. Qetisyah was a Princess in her time soon to be Queen. Her crown was full of her power. If I harness enough faerie power, I can not only awaken Qetisyah but I can also enter the Fae Realm and take back the crown."
If Bonnie's birth right was a crown, what was his since his mother was a witch, what belonged to him? When Bonnie feel asleep, Damon stood in front of the mirror and chanted a spell with his crystal blue eyes unseen until he opened his eyes and saw his mother wearing her emerald green ring. She knelt to her son, at the time Stefan wasn't yet born. She smiled at him and kissed his head. "One day, my son this ring will be yours because your are the oldest. This ring, Damon belongs to you." She told him. She looked ahead as if she could see him. "Look at your finger, my son." She commanded. Damon did as he was told and saw the ring through teary eyes. He looked back to the mirror and she was gone. "Mom... mom! Please come back!" He begged, sobbing. Bonnie stood behind him wrapping her arms around his waist. "There has to be away to bring her back."
"The ring is your birth right...so it must have what happen to your mother. Depending on what happen...I'll know how to bring her back and if I can."
"What do you mean?"
"Sometimes a witch...sacrifices herself for her family. Sometimes to protect them from someone or something."
"My mom...after Stefan was born—she was nervous about something. I didn't pay it any mind. I was just a boy."
"Damon... it's okay."
"Mab...she whispered the name Mab." Damon ignored.
"How would Mab...we need to begin to find out what happen to your mother." She declared. "If Mab has something to do with your mother's death that means she knew something. It has to be in the ring."
"We need to kill Mab."
A/N: This is only part one! I hope you guys enjoyed it! Remember to review, they really mean a lot! Thank you for reading. Part two is coming soon! Also tell me who should come back to life first! Lorena or Mrs. Salvatore? Yikes!
