Chapter 4: The Book

Nova's POV

After I cut my tongue on Emmett's teeth.

I started to feel better.

It wasn't like I got better over night.

It was slow but I was starting to feel better.

It might just been because of just having people around.

It was that time of the month to drink my tea.

So while very one was in the library.

I went into my green room to get tea leafs.

Then I walked to the kitchen and fell up the kettle with water.

Then sat down and waited for the water to boil.

"Nova?"

Came Emmett's voice.

"In the kitchen love?"

I called back.

He zoomed in so fast that all I saw as a blur.

"Why didn't you tell me to were coming down?"

He said with worry.

I smiled at me.

"Sorry I didn't want to bother you. Besides I don't feel weak."

I said with a smile.

Emmett bent down and kissed my lips.

I smiled into our kiss.

"Ok but next time let me know when you leave the room."

Emmett said.

I giggled a little.

"I will Emmy."

I said with a smile.

The kettle went off and Emmett got me a cup of hot water.

When he gave it to me.

I put the tea leafs into the water and it turned gold.

"Why do you drink three cups of the tea once a month?"

Emmett asked me as I spooned out the leafs.

"It numbs the pain. But it can stop my heart if I drink more then that."

I said as I started to drink the sweet tea.

"I see."

Emmett said to me.

I stood up and he froze when I walked up to him.

Once I was in front of him I stood up on my tip toes.

Then I kissed his lips and he smiled into our kiss.

It was sweet and he pulled me closer to him and I could feel his hard dick press against me.

He pulled back and looked down at me.

"Hey Nova. You are looking good today."

Charlie said with a smile at me.

I let Charlie in and we headed to the kitchen.

"How have you been?"

Charlie asked me.

"I'm great believe it or not. I don't feel sick a lot anymore."

I said to him.

Charlie smiled at me.

"That's good to hear. Since you are feeling better and tomorrow is Saturday. Billy wants to have a cook out and he said if you were felling ok you can come."

Charlie said.

Billy Black is a good friend to Charlie.

When I was younger and not so sick me and Bella use to go to La Push all the time.

"That sounds good. But I need to see if I'm felling good tomorrow as while. Just come on by before you head down there I we see how I'm feeling."

I said with a smile.

Charlie smiled back at me.

"Ok Nova. While since you are doing fine. I let you go and get some rest."

He said as he stood up kissed the top of my head then left.

I got up and headed for the library.

The Cullen family was waiting for me.

I didn't know if I wanted to go or not.

"Nova you can go you know."

Carlisle said to me.

I looked at them.

"I don't know. I haven't be to La Push in years."

I said as I sat down on the bed.

"Nova you need to go."

Alice said and we all looked at her.

"Why?"

I asked her.

"Cause when you screamed all night last month someone heard you. Billy wants to make sure you are still human. If you don't go they might come and see for them self's." Alice said.

I looked down at my bare feet.

"Ok I go for you guys. I don't want anyone to get hurt. Since I'm not going to be here tomorrow you guys don't have to come. Take the day off, go hunting or what every you guy want to do."

I said with a smile but Emmett wasn't like that.

I didn't have to be a mind reader to tell.

Then Alice danced over to me and handed me a purple cell phone.

"What is this?"

I asked her.

"It's a cell phone. It as all of our numbers plus Charlie's. So you can call or txt Emmett so he wont freak out."

Alice said then she turned to look at Emmett.

"I put Nova's number in your phone as while. So when you feel like you need to talk to her you can call or txt her."

Alice said with a smile.

I looked at Jasper.

"Jazz?"

I said.

He looked over at me.

"Yes Nova?"

Jasper said with a smile.

"Could you help me go to sleep?"

I said and they looked at me.

"Why?"

Emmett said.

"So when Charlie comes I wont be sleeping the whole time."

I said to him.

Emmett came to my side.

"Sure Nova. Get ready for bed then I will help you."

Jasper said.

Then Emmett took me to my room so I could put on my night clothes then to the bathroom to brush my teeth.

"Emmett?"

I said.

He looked at me.

"Yes Nova?"

He said with a smile on his face.

Em was trying not to look freaked out.

"Will you lay with me for a while, while I sleep?"

I asked him.

Em relaxed a little.

"Sure Nova."

He said as he picked me up then took me back to the Library.

Em tucked me in and then laid next to me.

Then I could feel Jasper doing his thing.

So I closed my eyes and feel asleep.

I felt someone shacking me a little and talking.

"Nova love you have to get up. Alice said that Charlie is going to be here soon." Ems voice said in my ear.

I smiled and opened my eyes.

He smiled at me as I sat up.

"Ok I'm up."

I said.

Then I got off the bed and went to my room with Emmett at my heels like a big puppy.

"I'm going to miss you a lot."

He said to me.

I turned around and put my arms around him.

"Me to Emmy but its only for a few hours to they know I'm still human."

I said to him.

"Why did you say human like that for?"

Emmett asked me.

"While I'm a banshee so not really human."

I said as we walked into my room.

I closed the door and started to get undressed.

I heard Emmett groan a little.

I looked over at him.

He was sitting on my bed with a pillow over his lap.

"Sorry Emmett."

I giggled as I put on my pants and shirt then Emmett's jacket that he gave me.

It was way to big for me but it smelt like Emmett.

When I looked at him Em was smiling at me.

I walked over to him and kissed him.

"I really want you right now."

Emmett said in a low growl.

I pulled away.

"I do to but you have no idea how much I want to jump your bone right now."

I said and he chuckled softly.

Then the door bell rang and we looked at each other.

"I walk to you the door. Every one left a hour ago."

Emmett said as he picked me up so fast that I didn't feel my stomach anymore. Then he ran to the door and put me down.

When I opened the door Charlie was there waiting.

He saw Emmett he looked at me then back at him.

Emmett kissed my cheek.

"You have fun Nova and I see you when you get back."

He said before he took off walking.

"Why was he here for?"

Charlie asked me as we got into the car.

"Emmett and I are dating."

I said in a low voice.

He looked at me with a eyebrow raised.

"How long have you two been dating?"

Charlie said like a father would to his daughter.

While Charlie did raise me like his own.

Since Bella don't come and see him much anymore.

"A month after they moved here."

I said not looking at me.

"When were you going to tell me?"

Charlie said as he drove to La Push.

"When the time was right Charlie."

I said with a smile as I looked at him.

"You two aren't having sex are you?"

He said with out thinking.

Both of our face's went red.

"No Charlie. We are taking it slow."

"Good cause your still sick and you two shouldn't be doing that."

He said in a gruff voice.

He didn't say anything till we got to Billy's house.

Then we got out and headed for the front door.

It opened and a tall guy with short hair came out.

He smiled at Charlie and looked at me.

There was something in his eyes that made me scared.

I moved behind Charlie and he looked at me.

"What's wrong Nova?"

He said as the guy left.

"He give's be the creeps."

I said as we walked into Billy's house.

Billy and his son Jacob was in the living room watching the game.

"Charlie you made it!"

Billy said with a smile.

Then he saw me.

"Nova you look even paler then the last time I saw you."

Billy said with worry in his voice.

"Cause I gotten sicker the last time you saw me Billy."

I said with a weak smile.

Jacob looked at me with a smile.

"I see. Will make your selfs at home."

Billy said.

I sat next to Jacob.

I was getting into the game.

"Come on! Get him! Go for the legs!"

They looked at me.

"It seems like you are really getting better."

Charlie said as he smiled at me.

"Yep and I feel better to."

I said as I sat back down.

I noticed that Billy kept on looked at me.

I took off Emmy's Jacket and put it on my lap.

Then I felt my cell vibrate so I pulled it out.

It was from Emmy.

I smiled as I sat back and pulled up my knees.

Hey Nova how is it going? You ok?

It said.

I smiled more and txt back.

Yes I'm fine. Everything is going good. Meant this guy that gives me the creeps. But other then that good.

I said as I yell.

"COME ON! THAT WAS A FOUL! !

They looked at me.

"Wow she has a set of pips on her."

Jacob said as he smiled at me.

"You should hear here when she screams. You can hear her all the way into town." Charlie said as he winked at me.

"Really?"

Billy said.

"Yes but very one got use to it over the years."

I can see that he was thinking.

Then my cell went off again.

I looked at it.

That's good to hear. I was starting to worry. Will since you are having fun I let you go. I love you Nova.

I smiled and txt back.

Ok Emmett. I love you to and I txt you when we are leaving.

Jacob said.

I looked at him with a smile.

I looked at him slow but Charlie was the one that answered.

"One of the Cullen boys."

He said not liking the idea.

Billy had fear in his eyes.

Then a knock came at the door.

"Sorry that I'm late I had to bring a few things with me."

Came the voice of Harry.

Charlie got up.

"I help you."

He said as he left the room.

"Jacob can you please go and help them?"

Billy asked his son.

"Sure dad."

Jake said then got up and left.

"You need to be careful around the Cullen's."

Billy said to me.

I know he was worried.

"Their not going to hurt me."

I said softly.

His eyes got huge.

"You know then?"

He said and I nodded my head.

"Then why are you dating one?"

Billy said a little mad.

"Cause I'm his true mate."

I said and I couldn't tell what Billy was thinking.

"Even if that is true they cant turn you with out breaking the treaty."

He said.

"They told me about it. So you rather me die at a young age and be in pain the whole time."

I said and he looked at me.

"That's not-"

Billy started but I stopped him.

"It doesn't matter. They are trying to see what the fuck is wrong with me. So that maybe I can live a little longer. They care more about me then my real family Billy. You see them as monsters but I see them as good people."

I said and he mad a face.

"But they aren't human."

He said even lower.

"So what."

I said to him and he flinched away.

"They try to be good and they do good. Did you know Carlisle has never drank human blood at all? He couldn't deal with that. That is why he drinks animal blood."

I said and he looked at me.

"Even if he doesn't I still don't like them."

Billy said.

"I don't want to lose him. I need him more then he needs me."

I said softly.

"If they turn you they will die."

Billy said in a cold voice.

"So you rather see me lose the only love of my life so you can be happy Billy? Cause I'm the weak orphan that no one gives a real fuck about. You know how it is to lose someone very close to you."

I said in cold voice as while.

He looked at me with fire in his eyes.

"Beside I'm not all human like you think I am."

I said as I got up and walked out of the room.

"Where you going?"

Charlie said as I put on Emmett's jacket.

"I going home. I'm fucken pissed off and I want to scream."

I said as I walked out of the house.

"Ok I take yo-"

Charlie said.

"No you stay I can walk back. I haven't felt this good in my life. So I'm going to walk home."

I said as I walked into the rain.

Charlie didn't come after me as I walked.

I was on the side of the road out of town.

Then I screamed as loud as I could cause I really wanted to.

I know every one could hear me but I felt a whole lot better.

The rain was pouring down hard as I kept on walking.

Then I saw a jeep driving face towards me so I got closer to the trees.

Then it stopped in front of me.

"Get your ass in Nova."

Emmett said and I did.

He put on my seat belt cause I had no idea how to put it on.

"Why didn't you call me?"

He said as he turned his jeep around and took off back down the road.

"I was to pissed off to think about it."

I said as he drove faster.

"Why are you pissed off?"

He asked me.

"Cause of what Billy said. He was like family to me. But I can see that no human really cares about me."

I said as tears ran down my face as I pulled up my knees.

Then cried in to them.

I felt the jeep stop and before I could look up.

Emmett had me in his arms.

He let me cry into his shoulder.

This was started to hurt so I tired to pull back.

"Whats wrong?"

He asked me.

"Leaning like this is hurting my back."

I said.

Then he undid my seatbelt and pulled me into the back seat.

So fast that I couldn't see for a while.

He held me as I started to stop crying.

Then I looked at him and kissed him hard.

He looked at me then pulled back.

But my body wasn't letting me sleep.

"Whats wrong?"

Emmett said.

I looked up at him.

"I know I'm tired but my body wont sleep."

I said to him.

He looked at me.

"While I can try and tire you out again."

Emmett said as he rolled on top of me again.

I smiled as I started to take off his pants again.

But then he growled and pulled them back up.

"Whats wrong?"

I asked.

"They are coming over."

"Oh while next time."

I said as I sat up and we walked to the library.

We walked down to the sublevels and started to pull down books.

When every one else came down.

"How did it go?"

Alice said.

"It went ok I think. I left when Billy pissed me off."

I said and she looked at me.

"Sorry. But it worked I think."

Alice said softly as she picked up a book.

I went threw the one I have but nothing.

So I put it back then picked up another one.

They all could stand for hours while I cant.

So I sat down on the floor with a few books.

No one talked while we looked threw the books.

Then I started to get hungry and not for the broth but for some meat.

I stood up and put the books back.

"Where are you doing?"

Emmett said as he followed me.

The others were listening to me.

"I'm hungry so I'm going to go and see what I have."

I said and he looked at me.

"You mean your broth?"

Emmett said.

"No I want meat and I might have to go to the store for some."

I said as my stomach growled.

"I go with you then."

Emmett said.

So I got some money and we left the house.

Every one at the store was staring at us as we shopped.

I got a lot of meat and veggies.

"You going to need a little bit of everything."

Emmett said as he put in some bread, milk and some other things.

After I paid and loaded up his jeep we headed back to my house.

Then we unloaded the jeep.

I was looked at all the different kinds of food.

"What are you going to make?"

Em asked me.

I looked at him.

"I really don't know how to cook. So I might just look up stuff."

I said.

But then Carlisle and Esme came in.

"We know how to cook. We make you something good."

They said with a smile.

I looked at them.

"How do you know how to cook?"

I asked.

"We might not need to eat but we do read cook books."

Esme said as she patted my cheek softly.

Emmett's POV

While Carlisle and Esme cooked, ever one else came in.

"You guys should take a few days break."

Nova said.

We looked at her.

"We cant do that not till we find out what is wrong with you."

Edward said.

Nova looked at him.

"Maybe a banshee is sick for the first 16 years of life then gets better."

I said as I drank milk for the first time.

It was so good I drank the first glass then got another one.

"Why you think that?"

Edward said.

"Cause I turned 16 last mouth and I started to get better this month."

Nova said.

I looked at her.

"Last month was your birthday?"

I said.

Cause I didn't know it was her birth day.

"Yes but it doesn't mean anything to me."

Nova said.

"But we would have thrown a party for you."

Alice said.

Nova looked at her.

"Its really fine guys. It just another year that came and went."

Nova said with a smile.

But I wanted to get her something.

Alice had this look on her face and Edward was standing next to me.

"Will maybe we should take a few days off."

Edward said and I looked at him.

Nova looked at him but she didn't say anything.

Cause she started to smell the meat cooking.

Her green eyes snapped over to Carlisle and Esme.

While she was looking away I leaned in closer to Edward.

"What is Alice planning?"

I said to him.

"She wants you to bring Nova over tomorrow for a party."

He said to me.

I smiled at him.

"Could you stay with her till I get back?"

I asked him.

Edward smiled and nodded.

I walked over to Nova who looked up at me.

"Nova I need to go and do something but I be back later ok?"

I said and she looked at me.

"Ok Emmy but come back soon."

She said with that look on her face.

The look that I have to come back or else.

"I will don't worry Nova love."

I said then kissed the top of her head.

Then I headed out of the house into my jeep and headed to Port Angeles to pick up a gift or two for Nova.

It didn't take me long to get there.

I drove around for a while then I saw a jewelry store.

I parked then walked in.

They had some really nice stuff.

Rose always like this kind of stuff but I didn't know what Nova would like.

"How can I help you sir?"

Said a female voice.

She was looking me up and down.

I can see her undressing me with her eyes.

"Yes I would like to see your engagement rings."

I said and she had this sad pissed off look on her face.

"Right this way sir."

She said in her sexy voice.

I thought to my self.

She showed me a lot of rings.

The kind that Rose would want or have already.

Then I saw one that was silver with emeralds around it then with a light blue stone in the middle.

It looked like Nova's green eyes and my blue ones when I was still human.

"I take that one."

I said as I pulled out cash.

"Who ever she is. Is a lucky girl."

She said as she put it into a small black box.

I put it in my pocked and then left the store.

Then I drove around not sure what I should get her.

Then I saw a old looking book shop.

Nova likes books maybe they have something she don't have.

I thought as I pulled over.

When I walked in I could smell the dust on everything.

The old man there looked at me.

"How can I help you?"

He said with a smile.

"I'm looking for a good book for my girlfriend."

I said with a smile back.

"What kind of books does she like?"

He asked me.

"While she likes fictions any thing about creatures."

I said as I tried to remember what she head in her room and in the library.

"What kind of creatures?"

He asked me.

"All kinds of creatures."

I said with a smile just thinking on how Nova can talk about them all the time. "While I have one book that she might like but I'm not sure if I want to sell it."

He said as he pulled out a large black leather book that looked locked.

I saw it the name of it.

"No one can read what it says."

He said.

"The Van Helsing History."

I read.

The old man looked at me.

"How do you know what it says?"

He said to me.

"My girlfriend is a Van Helsing she teached me how to read the code."

I said and he smiled at me.

"I see so you must be the one that they told me about."

He said.

I looked at him.

"What do you mean?"

I said as I looked around.

"When I was a young boy this beautiful women came to me. She told me that when the time comes a boy with golden eyes will be able to read the book. You need to give it to him. I asked her why. She said she saw that when he comes its time for her to have it."

He said as he handed to me.

"How much is it?"

I said but he shook his head.

"No I cant take your money."

He said.

But I pulled out at lest 600 and gave it to him.

"That is for helping my girl. I feel what every thing we need is in this will help to save her life."

I said as I left the store and headed home.

It didn't feel like it took long to be back to the house.

I left the book in my jeep and walked into the house.

Every one was still in the kitchen.

Nova was eating and it seemed like she can keep it down.

Edward? When you head home could you take my jeep? I have Nova's present but I don't want her to see it.

I thought.

He looked at me and nodded once.

Nova saw me then ran to me.

She threw her self at me.

I held her in my arms.

"I missed you!"

She said as she put her arms around my neck.

"I missed you to Nova."

I said as my family looked at us.

"She was really worried about you."

Alice said with that smile of her.

She knew what I got her.

Edward would smiled at me.

"You don't have to worry about me Nova baby. I will always come back for you." I said as I walked her back to the table.

She sat down and finished eating.

Her scent was slowly turning sweet and I don't know if that is cause she is really getting better or I just want more of her blood.

Edward looked at me.

I smiled at him and shook my head as thought about what was in my pocket.

I wonder when I should ask her.

I might just ask Alice when I'm going to ask her.

I smiled more to my self.

Edward was trying not to bust out laughing at my thoughts.

I looked at him and I wanted to punch him but Nova was looking at me.

I looked at her and her eyes went from green to purple then back to green again. "You ok Nova?"

I said and very one looked at her.

"Yes I'm fine. Why?"

Nova said with confusion on her face.

She looked from me to every one else.

"Your eyes change color then back again."

Alice said with a smile.

Nova smiled at little.

"Yea they been doing that for the last week or so."

Nova said like it was nothing.

I looked at her.

"Really and when were you going to tell me about it?"

I said to her.

Cause I didn't know this was normal for a banshee or not.

"Emmett baby. I'm fine so you don't have to worry."

Nova said in a strong voice.

I can hear her heart beating stronger then last months.

I smiled and kissed her.

Nova jumped up into my arms and every one looked away.

She had a good grip on me.

I laughed as I pulled away.

"If you can jumps this high you are getting better."

I said as every one started to leave.

"See you guys later and thank you for cooking me dinner."

Nova said as she sat on my arm.

"Any time dear."

Esme said with a smile before they were gone.

I heard my jeep start up and they were gone.

"So what do you feel lik-"

I started to say.

When Nova kissed me and her hands was trying to take off my shirt.

I smiled into our kiss as I zoomed up to her room.

Nova giggled as I put her on the bed.

We both took off our clothes.

Once my pants hit the floor Nova was all over me.

I smiled as she laid me down and had her way with me.

I never had this much fun with Rosalie.

I closed my eyes as Nova sucked on my dick.
