Happily Ever After

AN: Here we are to the end of Shatter Down My Walls. It's been a fun ride. I will be starting another story soon that is totally AU. I love creating the different lives of our favorite characters. I write these stories to keep our Drumming Angel's Legacy alive. I always promise that Cory's Finn will always get his happy ending and in my world there is only on girl who can make him truly happy. Much love and thanks to my twitter peeps and to each and every one of you for your wonderful reviews. Check out Finding Love on Tour and keep your eyes open for my next story.

Disclaimer: Nope I still don't own Glee or its original characters but I do own a few of characters in this chapter. I also own all mistakes.

Ten years later

"Mom!" she calls as she storms down the stairs. "Daddy!" she exclaims as she stomps her left foot once she reaches the bottom of the staircase.

"Cory Michele Hudson, if you wake up Leo, instead of spending time with Markie and Dylan when Uncle Puck and Aunt Quinn gets here; you will be spending the afternoon taking care of your brother." Rachel scolds her first born, she walks out of the kitchen where she has been speaking to Carole.

"Well, I didn't ask for you to have another baby." Cory Michele huffs.

"Cory baby don't talk to your mom like that." Carole tells her first grandchild.

"Well nana, I didn't. If mom and dad didn't act like two teenagers in heat all the time; it would be just me." Cory snorts just as Finn walks around the corner after coming in from the garage.

"When we get home ask Madison or Grace how they like not living with both of their parents. Now that's enough with the attitude young lady." Finn sternly tells Cory.

"Yes sir, sorry mom." She whispers before turning and walking into the living room.

Later that evening; Finn, Puck and Blaine were cooking out on the grill while Rachel, Quinn and Kurt were gossiping around the pool. Cory and her five years old brother, Leo along with Puck and Quinn's children Markie, who is nine months younger than Cory and Dylan who is nine months older than Leonardo Allan Hudson.

"Guess what ladies? Blaine and I received a call from the adoption agency yesterday and we may be getting a baby soon!" Kurt exclaims while clapping his hands together.

Rachel and Quinn both stand up and hugged him while congratulating him.

"They told us that we should know something for sure by tomorrow. The baby is due in July; oh, I hope that the baby is a girl. Blaine said that I shouldn't tell you two until we know for sure, but I can't help it, I'm too excited to hold it in." he gushes before falling back into the pool.

"OMG Uncle Kurt, you got my hair all wet!" Markie screams as she climbs out of the pool and heads toward her mom to grab her towel to dry her hair off.

"Your hair, look at mine. I spent three hours fixing my hair, Blaine please come help me out of this pool." Kurt huffs as he flips his coif back.

With a laugh Rachel looks at Quinn, "With Kurt, I can understand his freak out, but Markie is only nine years old; how can she be freaking out about wet hair?"

"Oh, Markie thinks that she's a grownup. Puck hates it; she has already discovered boys." Quinn barely whispers to ensure that Puck doesn't hear her.

"I know what you mean; Cory has an attitude from hell and I know for a fact that she has a crush on Bobby Evans." Rachel smirks.

"What was that about Bobby Evans?" Finn asks as he wraps his arm around Rachel's shoulder.

"Oops!" Quinn bursts out laughing at the look on Finn's face.

By this time all of the children are standing around the adults wanting to know what's so funny. Cory walks up to Rachel and grabs her towel out of her bag; she has her back to Finn. When she stands back up, he causes her to jump when he wraps his arms around her stomach and pulls her back against her before asking her, "What's this I hear about Bobby Evans?"

"Moooommm! You are such a big mouth." Cory hollers at her mom.

"Excuse me young lady, I was just joking with you; but I'm done with your attitude towards your mom. Go inside and get changed into some dry clothes and stay in your room until one of us comes and gets you to eat." Finn growls at his daughter before pushing her toward the Hudmel's house.

"Mommy, where is sissy?" Leo asks as he climbs up into Rachel's lap.

"Cory is being punished. She was a bad girl and daddy sent her to her room to think about what she did." Rachel tells her son while rubbing his unruly mane of hair.

"I a good boy, daddy," Leo tells his father as he jumps off Rachel's lap and walks over to where Finn and Puck are having a strong debate over their girls already being interested in boys.

"You sure are, buddy." Finn tells Leo before turning back to Puck; "My daughter is too young to like boys and I'm tired of her talking to her mother that way."

"I know, Markie has been being like that with Quinn here lately too. I don't trust boys, not even my own; there is no way my Markie will be dating any boys anytime soon." Puck snarls.

"I've told Cory that she could start dating after college, but that isn't all that is bothering me. She went off on Rachel this morning because she asked her to keep her voice down before she woke up Leo this morning." Finn tells his best friend.

"You may want to have a talk with her dude; something ain't right with her." Puck tells Finn as he swings Leo up over his head and walks over to where everyone else is sitting.

After everything has been taken off of the grill; Finn walks up to his old bedroom to speak to his daughter. He lightly knocks on the door and waits for her faint come in. He walks over to the bed and sits down on the edge telling the sulking Cory to turn around and sit up so they can talk. With a huff she jerks herself up and flops back against the headboard with her arms crossed over her chest, she knows that she is going to have to listen to the 'you shouldn't speak to your mom that way' speech.

"Why are you having such a horrid attitude with everyone here lately, especially your mom?" Finn asks his daughter, deciding not to beat around the bush and finding out the true root of the problem.

"She gets on my nerves dad; do you know what it's like hearing on a daily basis about my mom being an actress and singer? Why couldn't I have a normal mom?" she huffs.

"Let me get this straight, you are mad at your mom because she is a successful actress and musician? Cory that make absolutely no sense at all." An angry Finn tells her.

"It is aggravating wondering if my friends are my friends for me or because I am the daughter of Rachel Berry Hudson. I also catch shit about my father being the biggest celebrity lawyer in LA too." She huffs; it's at moments like this that Finn realizes that his daughter is just as dramatic as her mother.

Taking a minute before responding; Finn replies "Okay, first of all your mom hasn't done a film since before we had you, she wanted to concentrate on our children. Secondly, she has put out one album since you've been born and as far as me being one of the biggest celebrity lawyers in LA; I worked hard for that and I am not going to apologize for that. I really don't understand why all of this is bothering you since you and Markie go to a school full of children of celebrities." Finn sternly tells her because he really is angry at her for the way that she has been acting.

"I know, but for some odd reason; my parents are the topic of the school. Markie and Bobby also have to hear about Uncle Puck and Uncle Sam too." She tells her dad.

"But, I don't hear Markie treating Quinn like you do your mother and I know for a fact that Markie has went home and told Puck and Quinn that she hears that she gets to go to that school because of your mom's money." Finn tells her before adding, "So tell me why you are so angry with your mom? I'm not buying the whole because I get picked on because I am Rachel Hudson's daughter excuse!" Finn, who never raises his voice at his children, startles his daughter with his raised voice.

Cory jumps up from the bed and throws her hands in the air before screaming at her father, "Because she is always around. She doesn't allow me time to breathe. As soon as I get into the car she starts with her hundred questions. Then she tells you everything!"

"You better lose that tone with me, and lower your voice; you are acting like you're two instead of ten. Your mom loves you very much and that is why she wants to know about your day and as far as telling me everything, she doesn't; I overheard your Aunt Quinn talking about Bobby. Get over it, quit acting like a brat and let us enjoy our summer vacation. We won't be stopping caring about you and your brother and we will always keep up with what is going on in your lives. Do you understand?" Finn replies to his now crying daughter. She knows that her dad is furious with her because he has never spoken to her this way.

"Can you please speak to her about lighten up on me a little bit? Dad, I'm not Leo, I don't need her breathing down my neck every second that I am around her." She whispers as she wipes the tears from her eyes.

"I will talk to her about giving you some space at home, but she isn't going to quit asking how your day went. Cory, your mom didn't grow up with a mother, as you know and her biggest fear in life is that she wouldn't be a good mom." Finn tells her in a much calmer voice.

"Mom is an awesome mom; she would do anything for Leo and me. She gave up her career to raise us. Maybe I need to tell her that, huh?" she replies.

"Yeah maybe you should. Now can we have our precious Cory back and go downstairs and eat with our family. We are here for a month babe; please don't make me have to be the peacekeeper." Finn tells his baby girl as he pulls her into a hug.

"I promise daddy, no more fighting with mom." She tells him as they walk out the door heading down the stairs to eat.

As soon as they made it outside to where their family was sitting around the picnic table; Cory walked over to where her mother was sitting and sat down beside her and wrapped her arms around her and told her that she was sorry for the way that she had been acting and she told her that she is the best mother in the world.

With tears in her eyes, Rachel thanks her and tells her that she loves her so very much and would do anything for her and her brother.

Finn brings Cory's plate to the table and makes her move to the other side so he can sit beside his wife. With a "horn dog" whisper, Cory gets up and walks around to the other side of the table. Finn walks back with his plate and sits down beside Rachel as the adults at the table carries on a conversation about what they all wanted to do for Independence Day. It's Carole who speaks up. "Before we discuss the 4th of July, we need to figure out what we are going to do to celebrate Cory's birthday. She didn't get to celebrate it because they were getting ready to fly home."

"Oh Nana that's okay; mom offered doing a party the week-end before and I told her that we didn't need to do a party since we were coming here to spend most of the summer. But if you feel the need to do something for my birthday how about you baking me a strawberry cake with cream cheese icing." She tells her while batting her eyes.

"Spoken like a true Hudson, always thinking about food; it's a damn good thing that she's tiny like Berry instead of being built like Finn." Puck laughs.

"What the hell is wrong with the way I'm built?" Finn growls at Puck.

"Nothing at all baby, but if you and Puck don't watch your language around our parrot, I'm gonna wash both of your mouths out with soap." Rachel tells her gorgeous husband.

"Dang, this is how all of our family dinners end up, Puck insulting Finn's body and Rachel threatening to wash someone's mouth out with soap." Sam chuckles.

"When we bring you boys back here, you all revert back to your teenage selves." Kitty tells her husband.

"Puck always acts this way regardless where we are." Quinn tells Kitty with a shrug.

"It is shocking that these three are successful attorneys." Kurt adds.

"Haha very funny porcelain but we were just named the best law firm in California." Puck answers before sticking his tongue out at his 'brother'.

"Real mature Puckerman." Kurt mumbles just as Blaine's phone rings. They both look at the caller ID and recognize the number as the adoption agency that they are working with, they both jump up and ran into the house without an explanation to the table.

"I wonder if that's an important call." Santana tells the family as she gets up and starts clearing the foam plates from the table. Santana and Brittney were staying at the Hudmel house too since Brittney's family has moved to Cleveland; of course if Carole had her way all of the 'children' would be staying with her but The Puckerman family were staying at Puck's mom's house and the Evans were staying with Kitty's family.

"Maybe they are getting a unicorn." Brittney pipes in; obviously she wasn't listening to Kurt talking about them trying to adopt a child.

Before anyone is able to set Brittney straight Kurt and Blaine walks back through the sliding glass door, trying very hard to hold back their smiles as they sit back down at the table. Everyone is looking at them, all wondering if that was the call that they had been waiting for. After a few minutes it was Finn who broke the silence, "Well are you two going to tell us what that call was about since, you know; you both jumped up and ran inside while we were eating?"

"Well, Blaine and I have some news to share." Kurt tells his family, "News that we are very excited to share with each of you!"

Blaine can't contain himself any longer so he just blurts it out, "We got a baby, she is due to be born about the time that we are supposed to go home."

The table erupts with congratulations and Carole is crying because she knows how hard Kurt and Blaine have been trying to adopt for the last eight years. Wiping the tears from her face, she speaks up, "I'm going to have another granddaughter? How did I get so lucky to be blessed with three wonderful grandbabies?"

Markie looks up at the woman that she has always called Nana and asks, "What about us?"

Carole doesn't miss a beat, she does think of Puck and Sam's kids as her grandchildren, and she spoils them as much as she does her true grandchildren. "Baby, Bobby, Dylan and you are my special grandchildren. Do you know why?"

Markie shakes her head no as tears well up in her eyes because she doesn't get to see her maternal grandmother much since she, like her pawpaw Berry refuses to move from the east coast.

"Well, let me tell you; you guys are special because God placed you into my life because he didn't think that my children wouldn't give me enough to love." She tells the little girl, who she has now pulled into her lap.

Finn clears his throat, he has an announcement to tell, but he's now wondering if he should wait until another day since Kurt and Blaine has just announced their good news. He also wonders how the news will impact Cory. He looks at Rachel and nods towards the kitchen, a signal to ask her to follow him into the kitchen. Once they both excuse themselves from the table and picking up more foam plates that have been emptied since Santana had picked the others up. After Finn throws the plates into the trash, he turns to his tiny wife and with a sigh asks, "Should we still tell everyone tonight like we planned or should we wait?" he asks, placing his hand on her still taunt stomach.

"If we don't tell them tonight, they'll all know tomorrow when I'm in the bathroom hurling up my brains." She answers, slightly aggravated that he would think about postponing their announcement.

"I just hate to steal any of Kurt and Blaine's thunder." Finn shrugs.

"Honey, if you would like; I will tell our family, that way if Kurt gets angry it will be toward me." Rachel tells her husband, placing her hand on top of his that is still resting on her stomach.

"No, I'll do it, you told them about Leo but, if Kurt flips his shit, it's your turn to calm him down." Finn tells her as he laces their fingers together and walks back out to their family.

"Deal!" she whispers right before she places a tender kiss on his lips.

As Finn and Rachel sits back down at the table, Carole looks at her son and asks if everything is alright because he and Rachel has been gone for a while.

"Hudson was probably in there getting a quickie." Puck smirks right before he feels Quinn's hand smack him in the back of his head.

"Puck, grow up please, and quit talking that way around the kids." Rachel snarls as she looks at her red faced daughter.

"No you couldn't be more wrong Puck; Rachel and I have an announcement to make and we were debating on waiting for another day to tell it or go ahead and tell you all." Finn tells his family.

"Tell us now, obviously! The more happy news the better; it is happy news right?" Carole replies.

"We think so; Rachel and I are also adding to our family, she is almost three months along." Finn tells the table but his gaze stays on his daughter, wanting to see her reaction to the news. He would be lying if he wasn't concerned that she may overreact over the news.

Surprising and relieving her parents, Cory is the first to say anything, "I hope that this baby is a girl. Don't get me wrong, I love Leo but I think mom and I need another female in the mix." Cory jumps up out of her seat and runs around the table and hugs both of her parents at the same time.

Everyone at the table congratulates the family over their joyous news. Kurt walks over to his sister-in-law and kisses her on the cheek and hugs his brother before announcing, "Yay, I was hoping someone else would have a child soon, so our daughter can have a play buddy like the others. Cory has Markie, Leo has Dylan and now our daughter will have your new addition." Kurt starts jumping up and down and clapping in his giddy way; which relieves Finn.

Rachel speaks up seriously, "Now this is the last Hudson baby so if Santana and Brittney decides to adopt it's up to Kitty and Sam to provide a play buddy."

This makes the whole table burst out in laughter. This family is so blessed. Rachel's heartbreak led her to Los Angeles and Finn. The spark that Finn felt the first time he touched Rachel's skin gave him the strength to give love another chance. Santana, Quinn and Blaine's love for Rachel caused them to move her to Los Angeles where they all found their true soul mates. Even though, she was forced to move out of it, that glass mansion with the tiny picket fence that they found on a webpage led them all to their happily ever after…

AN: Okay this is the end of this one. I hope y'all caught the significance of all of their children's names. I hope that you enjoyed this story as much as I enjoyed writing it. Reviews would be lovely. I will be working on finishing Finding Love on Tour and I already have the outline for my next story. (Actually, I have about three or four ideas but I think that I am going to try to stick to one at a time.) Thank you all for reading my first Finchel FanFic. I hope that you will continue readying my stories. Much Love Mel
