A/N: I'm warning you now, this isn't exactly a happy fluffy little piece. It's pretty sad.

I'm not Uncle Rick. And please don't show this to him! I don't want this really happening in Blood of Olympus next October.

Elysium

Hazel didn't mind dying a second time. She knew that whatever happened, she would be okay. Frank...Hazel wiped her eyes. Frank would find her, somehow. She knew he would. The masked people stared into Hazel's soul again. Whether they meant to or not, Hazel went back to just moments earlier, when she died- again.

"Leo Valdez is dead, young demigods." Gaea said, sounding pleased with herself. Her eyes were opening, which meant that all she needed now was the sacrifice- the blood of a male and a female demigod. Hazel fell to her knees. First Frank, now...now Leo. Who would Gaea choose as her sacrifice? There were only Annabeth, Piper, Hazel, and Percy and Jason. Jason had to live. Since Leo had died, Jason was the only demigod who could destroy Gaea. That left Percy...bile rose in Hazel's throat. Annabeth...she couldn't survive without Percy. No doubt she would die with him.

Hazel closed her eyes, clenching her hands. "Stay strong," she whispered. "For Frank. For Leo. Be strong."

Gaia laughed, the earth shaking beneath Hazel's feet. "Five demigods left. Oh, what fun I have planned for you all!"

"Whom to choose?" Gaea murmured. "Percy would be best...yes, the blood of the most powerful demigod. Annabeth...no, you are not powerful enough. Piper or Hazel...one of you must die. But which one? Both are very powerful...very powerful indeed."

Hazel's mind reeled. The last time Gaea's plans failed was when Hazel died in Alaska. Annabeth saw Hazel's mind forming a plan and shook her head. "No, Hazel." Annabeth whispered. "Don't- don't do this." Hazel stared at her friend. "I won't die for Gaea." She said firmly. "It worked in Alaska, it will work today."

"Oh Hazel," Gaea said. "I wish the others had more courage. But if you wish to die...then you shall." The Earth goddess raised her hands to strike, but Hazel grasped her pilum. She looked up to the heavens, then down to the earth, hoping the gods would see her final act of bravery. "For Pluto! For Olympus!" Hazel plunged the pilum into her heart. She gasped, watching her blood trickle down the steps os Mount Olympus. "NOOO!" Gaea yelled, her painful voice echoing through Greece. Jason took advantage of her moment of weakness and struck, raising the winds and fighting Gaea. Percy joined in, creating a terrible storm. Hazel closed her eyes.

She opened them again, glaring at the three judges. "She saved the world." One said.

"She gave up her life a second time to save the ones she loved."

"But she let the others die."

"I couldn't do anything!" Hazel shouted, choking back a sob. I tried..."

They kept staring at her. "Elysium." They spoke in unison. Hazel relaxed. Maybe...maybe that's where Frank and Leo were.

Hazel walked through Elysium, smiling. Many beckoned her to join the numerous parties, but she kept walking. She had to find her friends. She couldn't stop.

"Frank! Leo!" Hazel cupped her hands around her mouth and called out for them. "Leo, Frank, where are you?"

"Hazel?"

Hazel spun around wildly. "Frank!" She cried out. "Frank, where are you?"

A large, muscular Chinese teenager pushed through the crowd of people, stumbling. "Hazel!" He shouted, finally spotting her. Hazel laughed, tears flowing freely down her face. Frank spun her around, hugging her close. She kissed him, and cried into his shoulder. "I love you," she laughed, still crying. Frank kissed her forehead, frowning. "Hazel, I don't mean to ruin the mood or whatever, but...what happened? Did she- did Gaea kill you?"

Hazel laughed. "No, Frank, Gaea didn't kill me. I was too quick for her." Frank's eyebrows creased together. "What..." Hazel wiped her eyes, briefly touching her heart. Frank's eyes widened. "Did you-you-what?!"

"It was the only way," Hazel whispered. "It worked again, Frank. Like in Alaska, my first time...I sacrificed myself to stop her!"

"Annabeth, Percy, Jason, Piper and...and Leo?" Fresh tears welled up in Hazel's eyes. "Leo...he died, Frank. She killed him." Frank wrapped Hazel in his arms. "I'm sorry," he mumbled. "Leo was a good guy. Crazy, but good." Hazel pulled away, frowning. "You didn't know. You mean you haven't seen him?" Frank shook his head. "I don't recognize anyone here. I'm sorry Hazel."

"We'll find him." Hazel insisted, crying. "We have to find him." She started walking to the main part, but Frank caught her arm. "Hazel, what-what if Leo isn't here? What if-" Hazel glared at her boyfriend. "He has to be here!" She insisted, her eyes wild. "He died a hero's death, Frank. Leo has got to be in Elysium."

"I'm not saying he isn't a hero, because he is. But if he isn't here, where would he be?"

"Mom! Esperanza Valdez! Does anyone know where I can find Esperanza Valdez?"

"Leo?" Hazel glanced at Frank, who shrugged his shoulders. "Worth a shot."

They ran to the voice, pushing through the crowd of nymphs, mortal, and demigods. In the middle of the crowd was a teenage boy, with short (Piper forced him into a haircut just a few weeks before), curly, brown hair, pointed ears, and a mischievous look on his face. "Please! Can anyone tell me where Esperanza Valdez is!"

"Leo!" Hazel shouted, standing on her tiptoes. Frank waved his arms. "Valdez, over here!" Leo looked up, and a wide grin spread out. "Frank, Hazel! Guys, what are you doing here? I mean, of course I knew Frank was here somewhere- you wouldn't believe how gossipy spirits are- but...Hazel?" Leo touched Hazel's cheek gently. "Hazel, is everyone else okay? Please tell me I didn't die for nothing." He begged.

Hazel laughed. "If Gaea had won, you'd see Percy here too. No, they're okay. I sort of...killed...myself." She coughed. Frank and Leo stared at the young demigod. "Oh Hazel," Frank whispered. "Oh Hazel." Leo fumbled with his toolbelt. "Gods, Hazel," Leo muttered. "You are one brave demigod."

Hazel nodded, starting to cry. "I know. And the others shouldn't be here for a while. Hopefully not until they're old and have twenty grandkids." Leo snorted. "Twenty grandkids? I don't know, Hazel, that's a lot of kids."

"Well, at least we know they have a future."

"We do have a future, Hazel. We always have something to look forward to." Leo's eyes became focused on something in the distance. His eyes widened. "No," he whispered. "She can't be...how is that...but she's immortal!"

Leo pushed past Frank and Hazel. "Calypso!" He shouted. "Calypso!" Hazel ran after the son of Hephaestus. "Leo, what are you doing?" She cried. "Leo, stop! Come back here!"

"Calypso!" Leo cried. "Calypso- stop!"

A beautiful young woman, with long hair loosely braided over her shoulder and bright blue eyes, turned around. "Leo!" She cried. "Oh, Leo Valdez!" Leo and the girl- Calypso, Hazel guessed- hugged tenderly, and gazed into each other's eyes, smiling. Leo lowered his head to kiss Calypso, and she held his face between her hands carefully.

"I thought I'd never see you again." Leo said quietly.

"The gods have rewarded me." Calypso said, tears shining in her eyes. "They freed me, in a way. I am allowed to roam, as a spirit. And I have found you. At last, I have found you!"

Hazel leaned into Frank, smiling. Elysium, indeed.

*cries* I...I had to, guys. And Calleo...it was bound to happen, them getting together. I just set them somewhere very happy, where they can live in peace, at last. *sighs happily* I really love Leo, but...letting him go, acknowledging the fact that we can never truly be together...it was my final act of proof of my love for him.

What really sucks is that this is the longest one in here. That hurts me, guys. I made myself cry while writing this. I didn't want to kill Leo, believe me, I didn't. Nor Frank, or even Hazel. I'm just glad I didn't kill Nico. THAT would have been disastrous.

Please review! Oh, and Nicole and Elizabeth are on vacation- shopping for Nicole's wedding dress. I can't believe she's marrying Merlin in just three months! My one-year anniversary to Ronald Billius Weasley is nearing...only six more days!

If you have a special ship in mind, review! Or PM me. Whichever. I prefer reviews, though ;)

No slash. There will be absolutely none. Oh. Does anyone have an idea for a name for Persephone x Hades? I need something other than "Persades"...
