Summary: Now that the door of his past are beginning to open Drake along with his family and hunters must found the relationship between the mavericks with the white fang and Roman Torchwick not knowing that he has yet to face stronger challenges.

Chapter 11
Time: 4 days after the incident in the docks
Location: Weapon engineering lab of MH HQ
"No."
"WHY!? I have worked so hard on this, the least you could do is wield them at least once!"
Those were the words that had been going for the last half an hour.
"As I said before Vent, I don't want another set of weapon blades. I already have my own."
"Yeah, a set of blades you only do not have here, but are also destroyed." Replied the 14 year old.
"I will just repair them when I return to beacon." Replied the blonde hoping Ren had picked them from the docks that night.
"But what are you going to use until then!?" asked the brunette knowing he was losing this battle.
"I will just materialize some after, I may not be in condition to, but creating at least a pair should be enough." Replied Drake who stood up and turned around to leave.
"Thank you fo-!"
Drake stopped talking and looked down to see Vent holding on his leg, "I wont let you go until you at least test them!"
"Ven-"
"NO!"
Drake sighed in annoying while also wondering if Ruby would be like that when designing weapons.
"Just give up."
Drake turned around to see Axl sitting on a chair while resting his head with his hand, "He is never gonna let you go unless you accept his demands, believe me, I know." Replied Axl surprising Drake a little, not because of what he was saying, but because there was not only a certain edge on his voice, but because his eyes were red the moment he said it.
"… Fine." Replied Drake in a low voice as he looked at Axl who slowly nodded his head while Vent stood suddenly in front of the blonde.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I promise you will not regret it!" said the brunette as he grabbed his good arm and walked him to a table where were two blades, one black and one white.
"They are the same as Heaven and Hell." Muttered Drake as he saw that the designs were the same.
"I know, I took it all thanks to the surveillance videos Axl did through the missions you too two did!"
Drake watched at his brother with a twitching eye while the orange head looked away while whistling innocently.
"Based on what you said before about materializing a pair of blades, I suppose you can already use your domain." Replied a more calmed Vent as he took the black blade.
"Yes, although it is becoming difficult to create light ones." Replied Drake seeing that all of his constructs were starting to become darkness based.
"It shouldn't matter, you at least should be able to control them." Vent said as he extended the blade, "Think of this blade as if it is part of your domain."
"Excuse me?" asked Drake honestly confused considering it has only been 2 days since he started to finally understand his semblance.
"I made this blades by experimenting with a custom type of dust that I made here, it was not easy but after a while I finally found the perfect balance of white and darkness. So you don't have to worry about crating them, just manipulate them since there is already light and dark in them."
"I see… like this?" asked Drake as he raised his right arm in the direction at the blade that did not move.
"Stop thinking it is going to move with your head, you first need to try it with our very soul." Said Axl from afar while Drake only nodded as he started to let his aura flow imagining there was a line that was connecting to the blade causing it to move a little.
"Now you can use your head," replied Axl causing Drake to do as said making the blade levitate from Vent`s arm.
"That`s it, try to get use to it before… you do something more extreme." Vent said as he saw that the dark blade was now spinning quickly around Drake who then looked at the white blade, which started to do the same.
"I shouldn't have expected no less from you I suppose." Vent said in a low voice as he looked for a second at the ground, something Axl did notice.
"I think you can already put them down D." said Axl as he stood up.
"Yeah." Replied the blonde as he put both blades on the table.
"So! Will you take them?" asked Vent meaning a confident smile to his uncle.
"No."
Too bad Drake was too stubborn.
"What!? Why!?"
"As I said before, I already have pair of blades, ones which abilities also help me as well." Replied Drake making Vent put a thinking pose until he snapped back.
"What if I teach you how to make Heaven and Hell move in the same way without losing their abilities?"
'To be able to move 4 blades around me, the defensive possibilities would be very good if I learn to do it without problem, not to mention the different attack patterns I can do with them, but most importantly, to still be able to use Heave and Hell as I would normally do.' Thought the blonde as he looked at his anxious nephew.
"Alright."
"Yes!" shouted Vent as he jumped in the air, "I will start working on the dust necessary for them." Replied Vent as he turned around.
"Aren`t you forgetting something?" asked Axl making his nephew stop suddenly and then turned around.
"I completely forgot! Please come with me to check the arm." Said Vent while Drake simply nodded, "You really are amazing you know, you still are able to fight even with that nasty wound of yours, you really are something." Replied Vent with a low voice again; something Drake did notice this time.
"What was that about?" asked Drake as he took a bite from his lunch slowly not feeling not having much appetite for some reason.
"What?" asked Axl who was sitting in front of him.
"Vent`s attitude, one minute he is imperatively level Ruby, and the next he is calm like Ren." Replied Drake making Axl look at him.
"You only had one part of that analogy right." Replied Axl as he looked at his soda and then sighed.
"Gunvolt is a prodigy, his fighting skills and learning rate is outstanding, not to mention that his domain is really useful. I am sure that with experience he will become one hell of hunter shortly… too bad that attitude of his is so much like yours." Replied Axl hoping to get a reaction from Drake, but he didn't give him the pleasure.
"Just like that!" exclaimed Axl as he pointed at him.
"And Vent?" asked Drake making his brother narrow his eyes as rested his head with his hand.
"Unfortunately Vent didn't have any of those qualities, I am going to be a dick just by saying this but he doesn't have the requirements to be a hunter nor a soldier."
"Is he really that bad of fighter."
"You have no idea, he is good to get out of bad situations, but fighting is a complete different story, not to mention that his domain isn't fit for it." Replied Axl gaining a raised eyebrow from his brother.
"You should figure out by now what his domain is."
Drake actually thought hard at that one, he had only met both Vent and Gunvolt yesterday, while it was kind of obvious what was the domain of, as Axl`s puts it, 'Drake`s mini me', Vent`s domain remained a mystery to him.
"I am sure you will figure it out soon." Replied Axl as he sighed, "As I was saying, the fact that he could not be like any of us tortured him to no end, until he finally accepted the cruel truth, he would never be able to be a hunter.
But that did not stop him, yes he could not fight, but that did not mean he was useless on the contrary, thanks to his domain he is one of the most important person in the whole MH." Replied Axl as he looked at his soda with an small smile, "He is even able to go in some missions thanks to it and surpassing the limit of his own intelligence making able not to depend a lot on his domain."
"But it still troubles him that he is not like the rest of us." Replied Drake making Axl`s smile disappear as he nodded.
"The worst part of all is that it makes him wish he could use his own domain on himself."
(PRESENT TIME)
"So, seeing how fucked up you two are right now, I am going to let you choose who will kill you, either me, or my sweet sister." Said Orchid as he stood in one side of the train tunnel while Veronica stood in the other.
'Not the most brilliant of lines, but he is right, this is a very bad scenario.'
Gunvolt lowered his head and looked at his brother`s wound and then at him who was forcing himself not to pass away.
"Why so eager to kill us? Why not take us as hostages?" asked the blonde as he began to pass some electricity to his brother so it could accelerate his healing rate.
"Truth to be told we don't have orders of what doing with the two of you since meeting here was not part of our schedule, and even thought abducting the sons of the current head of the MH sounds really fascinating," Orchid said as he took from his cloak a purple double naginata with black hilt, "Getting rid of potential menace sounds way better."
"And I am the eager one," said Veronica shaking her head disapprovingly, "Remember mom said she wanted them alive, all of them."
"Sis, it doesn't hurt, what they don't know… although I do admit I might have gone a little our of hand with that surprise attack. But hey! Thanks to that electricity of yours, he should be fine soon."
Had him being in the other side, he would have been able to see the widened eyes of the usual stoic blonde.
"Surprised, don't be. We have more experience than you two in this business brat, so give up already." Said Veronica who gave an step forward as she created a set of blades around her ready to go and impale Gunvolt in case he did anything.
"Not much of a way out on my own, so stop doing nothing and do something." Said Gunvolt who looked at his brother
"Of course there isn't, and your brother is out cold so stop trying." Said orchid whole Veronica snorted, "Please, it is not like if that trash could do anything anyway!"
Gunvolt ignored the comments of the two as he gaze was focused on his brother, 'Please do not make say something like, I need you because I swear to god to I will send you to next week if we get out of this!'
"See! A complete waste of time."
Gunvolt raised his head to look and the purple head, "Don't worry, this is only going to hurt a lot." Said Veronica who raised her fist that was covered by a purple energy and then preceded to slam it on his face the same moment she caught him giving her a grim.
"Luxcalibur"
That was the only thing the blonde muttered as he simply moved his palm from his brother to look at her making her eyes wide as a massive blue electric bastard sword came out of it forcing her to immediately jump back from the range of the attack and to launch her blades with her typical mad like grim on her face.
"Really thought that would work?!"
"Veronica behind you!" shouted his brother making Veronica grim disappear as she felt a set of explosions sending her to GV once more who was charging at her with his right hand cracking electricity with the intention of frying her head.
"G duck!"
Gunvolt did as told the moment he heard his brother`s voice to avoid a thrust in the last second courtesy of orchid who passed him and grabbed his sister and quickly looked in front of him to see the paladin`s that shot her sister in the back, "How the hell did he do it without a screen to see!?" shouted the cloaked individual as he focused solemnly on the paladins and his unconscious sister, completely forgetting about the other pair of brothers.
"Don't you dare to lose consciousness."
"Believe I am trying my best not to." Muttered a red eyed Vent who was being carried on the back of his brother, while this one ran as fast as he could thanks to the lighting to enhance his speed. He could go faster, bur for that he would need to drop his brother.
"How are the paladins doing?"
"…Not good, the only reason he is taking so long is because his psycho bitch sister is unconscious… I just had to jinx it."
"She is up?" asked the big brother wishing she wasn't, unfortunately…
"Believe me that is she the last of our problems right now, so in words of a wise man, run bitch run!" shouted Vent.
"Since when the hell is Spider a wise person?" asked the blonde finally regaining his usual stoic self, seeing that his brother was out of the reach of death`s door, for now.
"Do you think the girls and the hyperactive man plus dog did it?" asked Vent.
"Considering that I heard an explosion not too long ago and that there are not many Grimm in the tunnel… I think the answer is pretty obvious, can you tap in any camera or transmission?" asked Gunvolt making his brother put an holographic screen in front of them only to receive static.
"We need to get closer."
"That is going to be a little hard, look."
Vent made the screen disappear to see more paladin`s in front of them, some in better state than other while members of the white fang ran out of the scene, the cause, an hyperactive doctor and dog that was biting one of the Faunus in the head.
"Now now Zwei, I think he learned the lesson." Said Oobleck who transformed his kanabo into a thermos to take a quick sip as he noticed the brothers.
"Nice to see you safe, you two."
"I would not call safe the right word, but thanks anyway." Replied Vent annoyed, "Do I have to remind you that there are to psycho siblings chasing us… oh right, they are going after us now." replied Vent.
"We need to get out of here fast, we are seriously in disadvantage here, not to mention that the Grimm have already reached the city by the looks of it." Said Gunvolt getting the attention of Oobleck.
"Then let us wait no more time, Gunvolt was it? Put your brother in that paladin, we will he-"
*WOOF WOOF*
Everyone looked at Zwei who was barking at the direction the two just came from.
"And they are here." Said Vent drily as he looked at the same direction to see them running at them at a greater speed to the one Gunvolt was running.
"Incoming!" shouted Oobleck as he saw orchid pointing his double naginata at them causing a purple beam to come out from the tip of it, one with the same radius as the hole that Vent had on his chest.
But unlike that time, the beam separated itself in various beams with the same radius while constantly changing it`s course making the eyes of everyone to wide.
"Sorry for this." Muttered Gunvolt.
"Sorry f- Ouch!" shouted Vent as he was thrown away, falling on his back in the fallen arm of a paladin causing him pain since he was not yet fully healed.
Gunvolt, having already lost the extra weight, ran in the direction of the beams and jumped in the air with his palm pointing in that direction.
"Astrasphere!"
A massive sphere three times bigger than the one he preciously used to cover Ruby before suddenly appeared to work as a shield from the beams the moment he said the word.
"Pretty good! But for how long do you think you can keep that sphere on!?" shouted Orchid not letting his beams disappear.
"Enough to buy some time!" shouted Gunvolt as he looked at Oobleck who understood, unfortunately so did Vent.
"Do not even think about it!" shouted Vent who tried to stand up only to feel his wound tense up causing him to cough some blood.
"So pretty nice of you and all, risking your life to save your weak trash of a brother, but you are forgetting one little fact,"
The blonde`s eyes widened and focused to what it was in front of him to see veronica running at him at great speed while creating some kind of blackish-purple spear in her hand, "I am still here! Lets see of that sphere of your can hold this, not even your uncle`s dark constructs could stop it!" shouted Veronica who jumped in he air ready to launch her spear at the same time that her brother dispelled the beams so she wouldn`t accidently hit her.
'Don't have enough time to dispel the Astrasphere and then get out of the way!'
"Dispel it now!" shouted Oobleck to which Gunvolt mentally nodded putting his life in his hands only to see a flaming rolling dog passing him and going after Veronica who avoided Zwei and snorted as he saw the dog passing her to then go eyes widened at the sight of Oobleck`s weapon going straight to her face.
"Goddammit sis."
Orchid ran pass her flying sister and attacked Oobleck who parried it easily and then swung it in front of his face avoiding it in purpose to shoot a massive fireball in his face sending back with her sister.
"They might have power, but it is really clear they don't have a lot of experience." Exclaimed Oobleck as he looked at Gunvolt who nodded gratefully at the man.
"Don't really think that is gonna matter anymore." Stated Vent making them look to their enemies to see them forming giant claws around them.
"Something like experience doesn't matter, if you have this much power." Replied Veronica in a calm voice surprising the brothers at what they was, a pair of red eyes.
"How is this possible?" asked Gunvolt wide eyes as he saw the pair of red eyes, yes they were celestial, that was a fact already, but only their family was able to change to that color of red, the other possible explanation was that someone from their bloodline turned them, but then the only question was, who?
"Surprised, don't be, after all that matters is that this has been already decided." Replied Orchid as he and veronica gave an step forward, only to stop as a familiar crimson blade passed in between them while spinning leaving a mark on the ground that started to glow.
"It is not up to you to decide that."
The two twins eyes widened and turned around to see Drake clapping his fingers causing the ground between them to explode and separate them.
"You are late young man!"
"Sorry doctor, had to make sure of some things." Said Drake as he walked to them with Hell in hand.
"Do you know how is the situation in the city?" asked Gunvolt only to see his uncle shake his head as he looked at Vent who didn't want to meet his gaze.
"Doctor," said Drake as he looked at the man, "Take Vent and head to the cit-"
"No." said Vent in a serious voice as he forced himself to stand up, "I can still fight."
"Young man, your determination it is admirable, but in tha-"
"Wait doctor," said Drake stopping his professor and then looked at Vent, "Are you sure?" asked Drake whose eyes turned red while Vent nodded not hesitating.
"Good, Doctor take the dog and head to the city, send back up as soon as you can." Replied Drake as he looked at the man who looked at him questionably.
"Trust me." Said Drake as he pats his shoulder.
"As you wish Drake, lets go Zwei! We don't want to keep your owner worried!" shouted the man who immediately entered in a paladin that was missing an arm while the dog followed him incredibly matching the speed of the machine.
"Where have I heard that name before?" asked Drake to himself and then turned around with narrowed eyes, "Sorry to keep you waiting." Replied the blonde as he saw from afar the other twins whose claws were gone.
"No it is ok, now I can finish what I started." Replied Veronica narrowing her eyes while her lips formed a grim on her face, "You are really unlucky, first you had to protect Blondie, and now you have to protect that weak shit you call family."
"At the end of this we are going to see who is the piece of shit, bitch." Said Vent as he stood to the right of his uncle no longer wearing his disguise of the white fang but his usual clothes with the wound a little closed.
"Are you sure of this uncle?" asked Gunvolt with gun in hand as he stood next to his lest while the older blonde sighed as he unsheathed Hell.
"I am putting my trust in your brother, especially since I have to take care of someone else."
"Huh?" asked both as he looked at him as he unsheathed resonating Purgatory.
"Stop hiding already, this blade is the evidence that shows that you are here, Bassium."
"I really hate that name, you know?"
Everyone`s eyes minus Drake`s widened, Veronica and Orchid turned around to see none other than Forte with his cloak and Pandemonium.
"Just how long have you been there?!" asked Orchid calmly while Veronica did not.
"Well… since before you boarded the goddamn train." Replied Forte as he stood between them and focused on the older blonde.
"Not feeling like a total beast now, are you?" asked Forte as he waved his blade.
"Feeling like to, I would love to say it is nice to meet you Bassium, but that would be a lie." Replied the blonde as he readied Purgatory and eyed Vent, "Reap her to shreds." Replied the blonde wanting to do it himself for what she caused the last time they met, but unfortunately thanks to the situation at hand that was not an option.
Drake and Forte looked at the red eyes of the other not making any move at all, it even looked like none of them weren`t even breathing.
"Would you please drop the staring contest an-!"
Veronica stopped what she was saying instantly the moment she saw Forte charging at Drake with a thrust while said blonde did the same.
"Lets see what the other twin blade can do!" exclaimed Forte showing his grim the moment the blades crashed creating an strong wave of wind around them while the energy of the blades started to sync creating an sphere of green light around the to then suddenly go up making another hole in the tunnel while their blades were still clashing.
"Well that was clim-"
"Luxcalibur"
Orchid`s words were cut short at the name of the attack that he had already seem before, he raised his naginata in defense position to block the electric sword that was aiming for his chest, almost as if it was retribution for what he did to Vent.
"Is that all?" asked orchid with smirk only to receive a one as well.
"No." Replied the blonde as his feet made contact with the metal rails making electricity crack from his feet giving him enough strength to impulse forward in at a ridiculous speed leaving only two.
"Well, at least I wont have to much trouble." Replied Veronica as she looked at Vent who had his hair covering his eyes, "what scared?"
To her surprise he shook his head and raised his head to see he was smiling, even though the color of his eyes were red, "I am actually grateful at the moment." Replied the brown head as he undid his vest.
"Those words that you say to me are nothing but the truth and I fully accept them, all of my life I wanted to be useful for my family, that is why when I saw I could not fight like my brother does. So instead I helped with the weapons and devices that could help the hunters in their missions, suck like the one involving a massive mechanic bird." Replied Vent making Veronica understand that it was thanks to him that one of the FALZARs was destroyed.
"Too bad that brain of yours wont help you to get out of this one." Replied Veronica giving him an evil grim ignoring the ominous feeling she was having.
"You are right and wrong at the same time," replied Vent as he reached the inner pocket on his vest, "It is thanks to my brain that I am going to be able to fight, but it is not my brain the one it is going to fight."
"One last thing before we start, allow me to thank you for giving me the chance to finally fulfill my dream,"
Vent took his hand out of his Vest to reveal the object he had given Axl when he was in beacon, "So, as a token of gratitude please allow me to pay you,"
AN: Play Megaman ZX advent ost: determined eyes.
Vent`s smiled faded and his eyes narrowed as he puts the device whose eyes start to glow light blue, "By turning you into trash!"
A pillar of white light appeared around Vent creating yet another hole in the tunnel as the pillar went to the sky while Veronica put her hand in front of her face thanks to the sudden force of wind that the pillar was generating while saw him grabbing his right arm with his left hand as if he was holding it from falling.
"Model A!"
The pillar became stronger the moment he said the words while an holographic screen appeared from the device.
"Here I go! Megamerge!"
"BIOLINK STABLISH. M.E.G.A SYSTEM ONLINE!"
The familiar voice of a certain gunslinger hunter came out of the device making a even brighter light appear that made Veronica close her eyes while she heard Vent screaming.
'What the hell is he trying to do!?' thought Veronica as she felt the current of wind becoming more calmer.
*BANG BANG*
The eyes of the female widened as she recognized the sound of guns firing this made her create a purple energy wall in front of her by instinct.
*CRACK CRACK*
Veronica`s eyes opened widely at the sound of cracking to see that her wall was now breaking down.
She looked at the wall to see there were no bullets, indicating that what was fired were not solid bullets but energy ones, something it didn't made sense, her wall should be able to block all kinds of bullets, were they solid ones of energy ones it did not matter, she wall should had been able to stop them.
"What the hell did you do?"
Veronica looked at Vent to see a cloud of smoke with a figure inside that disappeared making her eyes wide, not because of that, but because she felt a sudden pain on her stomach the moment that happened.
She looked down to see Vent no longer wearing his clothes, instead he was now wearing some kind of red armor parts in parts of his body with some kind of black clothes in some parts. (AN: basically the same armor from Megaman ZX advent, yes I am lazy I know.)
Veronica growled in pain as prepated her purple blades appeared above them ready to impale Vent, unfortunately for her she could not focus to that because in that moment the sound of more shots could be heard right below her.
Yes, Vent did not hit her with his fist, instead he did it with a gun, a gun that had it`s cannon pointing at her stomach the whole time.
Vent, still shooting at her repeatedly, moved his free hand back as wind began to wrap it and then punched forward landing a hit and sending her away while small blades of wind started cutting her.
'Wi- wind!? That is part of Axl`s domain! What the hell did he do!?'
Those were the thoughts of Veronica as she forced herself to recover and coughed some blood to then look at Vent for the first time.
The first thing that she noticed it was that those weren't guns; they looked more like some kind of futuristic grey blaster. But the most important thing were his eyes, yes they were still red and slit, but there was a sense of emotion in them and his face was blank as well, almost as if he was a machine, a weapon.
The female not liking how this was going, decided to create her claws and a bigger set of blade that were launch immediately at him.
The red armored individual charged at her not even thinking about it avoiding the blades at a great speed while Veronica smirked as she used the left giant dragon claw at him and prepared the right one just in case he avoided the first one.
Vent, seeing what it was in front of him, decided to shoot at the ground ahead of him several times, making a three great pillars come from the ground surprising Veronica.
She had studied both Drake and Axl, including their domains; she knew that the domains of the gunslinger were sky and earth, even though he mostly used elements of the sky domain and rarely using the earth ones. But there was a bigger question on her head, was his domain to be able to copy someone else domains.
Veronica smirked as she pushed the thought away since it didn't matter right now, just like it did not matter if he put pillars to block the claws, she knew those would destroy his defense, so imagine her surprise when she saw that Vent was no where to be seen.
That was she saw something that made her panic a bit, a hole in the ground.
The next thing she knew was her feeling a sudden pain below her chin, it was Vent that came out by a hole created by him, he then quickly gave a backspin kick with his leg enhanced by wind to slam her in the wall and then to repeatedly shoot his guns without hesitation until she was no longer conscious and letting her fall.
The red armored Vent walked to where she laying ready to deliver the finishing blow to end her life only to feel a sudden impact to his side equivalent to being hit by a giant truck.
Vent, who managed to recover after rolling and was now bleeding by the side of the head he was hit, looked at the direction Veronica was to see Forte whose Cloak was damaged by the sides and bloodied but still well enough to cover his face.
"You really did a number on her, a little longer she would have run out of aura aura and actually leaving some hole in her, congrats brat." Said Forte as he saw Vent shooting at him making him smirk under his cloak, "Make sure to check those wounds." Replied Forte who disappeared before he disappeared making the bullets going straight to hit nothing.
Vent stood still pointing the gun in the same direction until he lowered his gun and guard, until he pointed at another direction as soon he saw a black blur coming down from the hole he had done, but relaxed immediately as recognized it as his uncle, but something was not right.
"You are ok… and your brother?" asked Drake who looked pale and tired while his clothes were had little stains of blood and his Purgatory blade who stopped resonating in front of him indicating that Forte was gone, for now.
"Vent?"
The brunette looked at his uncle remembering his question to which he shook his head while the blonde`s eyes narrowed.
"Vent are yo-"
Drake`s words got cut short as he heard a familiar sound from afar, the sound of an elephant, making both look at the direction where the sound came from to see Gunvolt falling from another hole and running at them at great speed.
"We need to go!" shouted Gunvolt whose uniform was dirtied by little blood while the blonde looked a little pale as well, "There is a pack of Goliaths coming!" shouted Gunvolt as the ceiling behind them was destroyed to reveal said Grimm causing Vent to raise his blasters.
"Don't!" shouted Drake as created a massive black wall behind Gunvolt to stop the charging Grimm.
"Gunvolt! You and your brother run to the city and alert everyone, I will hold the as long as I can!" shouted the blonde as the Grimm clashed with the wall that made some cracks.
