As a short time passed both Luann and Reneult grew. However something was worrying both parents: Luann's interest in Hero's Duty had become noticeable, and Reneult was showing an interest in racing. Luann would always ask her mom about how the gamers did in her game and would love hearing descriptions of various locations in the game. Reneult couldn't get enough of watching his mom and the other Racers race and had even started admiring the part of the track that was surrounded by the fan booths.

One day Tamora came home to hers and Felix's house angry. By this point Luann was a preteen.

"Blast it!" She slammed the door.

"Mom? What's wrong?" Luann approached her concerned.

"This!" Tamora dropped her gun: it was broken. "This was my favorite gun too! And unfortunately it happened outside the game so it can't repair itself. Now I have to wait for Felix to...where is your father?"

"Dad went to Sugar Rush to repair a few things." Luann explained. "Reneult inherited Ralph's fists."

"Oh." Tamora sighed. "Well, I might as well relax while I wait for him to come home then."

"So how did your gun break?" Luann asked, going over to study the gun.

"A couple of Street Fighter guys were having an argument about something in Game Central Station." Tamora explained as she went to the kitchen for a drink. "I tried to break it up before they could kill themselves but instead they broke my gun up. Fortunately Bowser arrived and separated them before they could hurt anything else."

"Oh." Luann, unknown to Tamora, took the gun to her room.

You see Felix and Tamora did give her a gold wrench with fixing powers. Of course you had to twist the wrench around something to fix it instead of hitting something with it. So that's what Luann did: twist her wrench around the broken parts of the gun.

Felix then came home.

"There you are...my favorite gun got broken when I tried to break up a fight in Game Central Station." Tamora got up from the couch.

"Well you know me, I can fix it." Felix grinned before looking around with confusion. "Uh, where is your gun?"

"It was right there-Luann!"

Tamora and Felix entered Luann's bedroom. Once there they saw Tamora's fixed gun on Luann's bed.

"Thanks for the wrench mom and dad." Luann grinned.

"You fixed it...you didn't play with it did you?" Tamora quickly asked.

"No mom. What you think after hearing your and dad's concerns about me not being able to regenerate anywhere I'd be that stupid?" Luann rolled her eyes with a smirk.

"Right right...thank you Luann." Tamora smiled. "You really do take after your father."

"In some ways..." Luann sighed. "I mean don't get me wrong dad, I do admire your heroics, it's just...I just want more action in life that's all."

"But you can't be in Hero's Duty." Felix looked worried. "I mean...what if something happened to you?"

"I understand, don't worry...but I still wonder if it's really true. Me not being able to regenerate here or in Hero's Duty I mean."

"Truthfully no one really knows, but I'm not taking that chance." Tamora shook her head. "We don't want to lose you."

Luann just hugged her parents to reassure them that she understood. She still couldn't let it go though, not in her mind anyway.

Meanwhile Reneult was annoyed with his fists. He hated accidentally breaking things all the time. He and his parents, plus Candiel and Brenda, were having dinner now.

"I wish I had hands that weren't so accident prone." He sighed.

"Well you did inherit your hands from your father." Vanellope smirked.

"Even so..."

"Heh, I understand how you feel son." Ralph smiled. "When I was a kid I found it hard to control my hands too. Same with my temper, thanks to mom. There were times when I wished I had mom's hands and/or dad's patience even though I admired my dad and wanted to be like him when I grew up. But eventually I learned how to control both my hands and my temper and now I wouldn't trade my hands for anyone else's."

"Really?" Reneult smiled, feeling a little better.

"Sure, after all if it wasn't for me there wouldn't be a Fix-It-Felix Jr game." Ralph smiled. "Felix needs someone to wreck the building so that he can fix it after all. And later on my hands became useful for other things too. Like getting your mom and your Uncle Felix out of the dungeons and killing Cy-Bugs."

"Good points." Reneult smiled.

Felix, Tamora, Ralph, and Vanellope had told Luann and Reneult the story of how they met and ended up ruining Turbo's takeover. Ralph and Vanellope had also told Reneult how they fell in love and ended up together.

"Maybe you could join me in wrecking the apartment." Ralph suggested. "Pretty much the worse that happens to me physically is getting thrown off the building into a mud puddle, so maybe after that happens to me you could run off to escape the same fate or something. Adding Q*Bert and the others ended up being a good thing for the game as well as them, so the gamers might also like the addition of you since it could make the game more challenging for them."

"Nah...thanks just the same dad but I'm not into wrecking. Unless it's for defense like killing Cy-Bugs of course - oh don't worry, I won't enter Hero's Duty for something like that." Reneult quickly added as his parents and grandparents gave him a worried look.

His parents and grandparents relaxed.

"So what are you into?" Candiel asked.

"Racing." Reneult admitted. "I've watched mom and the others race many times and it looks awesome."

Ralph and Vanellope gave each other concerned looks.

"Well, I'm not disappointed or anything, but..." Ralph hesitated.

"What's wrong?" Reneult asked.

"We-we don't know if you'll be able to regenerate here or even in Fix-It-Felix Jr." Vanellope admitted. "So if you crashed and-"

"Oh." Reneult got it; he was a bit disappointed but he understood. "Oh well. It's okay I'll think of something else."

Ralph and Vanellope relaxed somewhat, but deep down Vanellope felt horrible.

Now by this point Reneult was over six years old. Normally this would mean that he'd inherit the throne, but since Vanellope was president now there was no throne to inherit. He didn't mind though, he thought his mom was irreplaceable as a ruler anyway. Vanellope still promised him that when he was ready to take over she'd gladly step down but Reneult decided to give her at least fifteen years before even considering it. After all she had been deprived of her true role for fifteen years so it was only fair.

After dinner Reneult wanted to play. Ralph and Vanellope needed to talk so King Candiel and Brenda left to play with him. Once they were gone Vanellope started sobbing.

"Van?" Ralph said gently. "What's wrong?"

"Oh Ralph, I feel awful." Vanellope sobbed. "I mean I of all people know what it's like to be deprived of the thing you love..."

"It's okay, Turbo deprived you because he didn't want to lose his sweet new job. Pun intended." Ralph smirked.

No luck. No laugh out of Vanellope.

"Er..." Ralph continued awkwardly. "We're only depriving Reneult from racing because we don't want to risk him getting killed. And Reneult understands. Come on President Fart-Feathers, you know keeping our child safe and alive is part of our 'doodie' as parents."

Vanellope gave him a weak smirk and then went back to feeling awful. Ralph hugged her.

Meanwhile Reneult was still playing with Candiel and Brenda.

"Poor Sugar Cookie." Candiel sighed automatically.

"What do you mean grandpa?" Reneult asked.

"Oh, uh, remember how Turbo had deprived Vanellope of racing, the thing she loves to do most, for about fifteen years?" Candiel said.

"Yeah...oh." Reneult got it. "Gee, I don't want mom to feel bad for something that's not her fault. I wonder if there's something I can do?"

"Apart from getting a new interest, not much." Candiel shrugged. "But you should stay true to yourself, you are our little chocolate chip after all."

"Yeah." Reneult chuckled.

Candiel had been calling Reneult that ever since he made that comment about Reneult being a chip off the ol' chocolate cookie. Reneult actually liked it, especially since it really made him feel like a part of the family. Even Ralph got a pastry-based nickname, though King Candy only used it when they were having a 'father-son' type moment or when he was extra grateful to him. Ralph's nickname was Biscotto, partially because biscotti kinda resembled bricks (apart from the round edges) and partially because biscotti were one of the hardest pastries ever. So biscotti represented Ralph's career as well as his sweet personality under his hard exterior.

Anyway time passed and Luann was now a teen. Reneult turned nine or so and stayed there, obviously because of his mom actually being a kid despite looking like an adult.

By this point Luann had gotten tired of just staying in her dad's game and only visiting Sugar Rush, so very late one night she made the bold move of entering Hero's Duty. Fortunately there weren't any Cy-Bugs, but she headed for the arsenal anyway. She admired the weapons and tried them out, but even though she proved to be really good at firing them none really suited her. As she explored she found some scrap metal and such and decided to invent her own kind of weapon...or rather, many kinds of weapons. She couldn't do them all in that one night though, but she did manage to invent one. She also found some discarded weapons that were to be scrap metal due to being broken (only the main weapons were restored after every game) and decided to fix them. Then when she was done with fixing the broken weapons and inventing her first weapon she went back to her dad's game.

The next morning Tamora and the other soldiers were surprised to find the discarded weapons repaired, but shrugged it off. The arcade was about to open anyway.

This kept up for a few days, until Luann ended up inventing five new kinds of weapons total. She then decided to visit the Code Room and make her weapons part of the game like the main weapons, for she had figured out a way to be part of her mom's game: add new weapons to it for the gamers. Once she entered the Code Room, using a bungee cord to ensure that she could get back, she went to the weapons code and inputted her weapons. She also multiplied them. Then she learned something surprising...
