Chapter Twelve
Romania walked into the cemetery. Mist formed around it. He scanned each grave for a certain one. He stopped at it. Alfred Thaddeus Crane Pennyworth. The faithful butler of Batman's.
"This'll be a good present," He commented. He started to chant the resurrection spell.
"Aca Honey, Horny Monkey, Rosie Posie, Archie Bunker. Regis Kelly, Mac Katie Al. Rise from the dead Alfred-Jones!?" The was shocked to see the country's name on a headstone. "It can't be!" He exclaimed. Suddenly, he heard a scream from the grave.
At first, Romania was confused. Then, he realized he had cast the resurrection spell on Alfred Jones. Shoot! He started removing the dirt from the grave. The screams became clearer and began to form words.
"Hey! Get me out of here, man!" A hand reached out at him. Heart racing, Romania pulled at the hand, which soon became an arm. Then, the rest of the body materialized. The two countries lied there, panting.
Once they caught their breath, America looked at him. "Dude, you saved my life." Romania nodded, deprived of words. America stood. "Now, I don't know what happened, but I'm going to kick Britain's ass!" He ran off, leaving the even more confused Romania in the dust.
"Damn!" Germany growled. He kicked at the blood soaked bandages that lied on the floor of the shelter. China walked up behind him. "I told you they would have left already!" Germany didn't know whether to be relieved that Japan was alive or disappointed. He would still have to punish him. Either he would have to kill him, or turn him in to the police.
"What now?" France asked. "We keep searching," Germany replied. Italy wiped the tears off his face. "But I'm tired."
"You were just sleeping!" Germany retorted roughly. He turned to the door. "We need to find them." He led the group out the door, into the night.
Japan scanned the street. He had a bad feeling. He got out the window and sat back. He knew Germany would be out to finish them off. If he knew Germany well, he will not rest until he got what he wanted.
He looked back at Britain. He was sitting on one of the beds with his back to Japan. His shoulders were tense. He must be uneasy, too. Japan was just about to suggest leaving when there was a knock on the door. Britain stood. "I got it. Must be those bloody housekeepers."
He opened the door and made a choking sound. Japan looked up to see someone had attacked Britain. Japan stood. Germany! He was expecting something but not this soon! Japan pulled out his sword and charged.
