Camp is going crazy, and not because I pulled a prank on the Aphrodite cabin again. No, it all started when everyone was called to a meeting near the Camp's bulletin board….

I was sitting beside my best friend, Wolf whose hands were playing with my light brown hair; the pale blue eyes that stood out against my skin could make you realize in an instant that I was a daughter of Zeus. Leaning against him I waited until Mr. D started talking about this BIG letter that the Gods had left on the board which I frankly didn't care about as long as it didn't have nothing to do with me.
"Listen you little brats, the Gods and Chiron have decided that you knuckle heads need to learn a thing or two about being responsible parents." His voice booms around the camps, his startling eyes taking us all in.
"Why should we?! There the ones who need to learn how to be parents!" A voice said from behind the crowd, everyone turning and looking at Joshua Ross, the very outspoken son of Nemesis.
"They forget about us, so why should we do this?!" He stares as everyone turns back around to look at Mr. D.

"Those whose name have been called report to the big house, you will do a blood test to see who you will be spending the next nine months with. By the time you and your partner are matched you all will be living in cabins designed to the ideal fit for you both. " Mr. D booms before walking to the big house as people whose names weren't call let out a released a happy breathe and go about their business.
I stare at Wolf, his rich coffee brown eyes stare into mine. Looking down I finally notice that his fingers were laced through mine before me and the rest of the campers walk to the big house.
"Is this going to hurt?" A brown skin girl who I think is named Charlie says to her sister Helena as she takes her blood.
"Not really, it's more like a prick." She says in a soothing motherly voice that seems to wash over me and everyone else.
"Why do you think they want us?" Cass, my sister looks at me before her eyes linger on Joshua.
"I don't know I mean we aren't as high and mighty as the seven." I say looking at her then Wolf.
"Yeah," He looks at me as Helena takes his blood. "We haven't been in a war or on a massive quest that's actually put us in a life or death situation."
Helena finishes taking everyone's blood before Rosely stands up, "Okay, so I have to put everyone's blood in this machine that came along with the letter. It will tell us our ideal soul mate in this room and they will be our partners in this rollercoaster of a 'project.'"
She stares at us before dropping everyone's' blood in the crater and it starts to turn, everyone's eyes watching it. The machine keeps spinning which feels like forever before it stops and a golden piece of paper pops out. Mr. D walks in and takes the paper out since everyone else is pretty much glued to their seats with fear and nervousness hinted in their faces.
"Rosely & Dominic."
The cute nerdy blond guy that is sitting in the corner drops his book as he stares wide eyed at the drop dead gorgeous Aphrodite child who is glaring at everyone from her seat.
"Helena & Ace."
Of course the star crossed lovers would stay together. Looking over at them Ace slowly takes Helena's hand in his. Her tan skin standing out against his paleness, the glare indented on his face makes me walk to bolt out of the room in a heartbeat.
"Joshua & Cassiopeia."
My sister beside me turns a bit pale, no doubt because of her massive crush on the quite yet dashingly handsome son of Nemesis. They both stare at each other in awe and amazement before looking away… interesting.
"Jenny & Nahliel."
The son of Aphrodite looks at the daughter of Athena as she reads a book on Greek history. Her cheeks burning as she looks up at Mr. D before looking at Nahliel, he throws her a wink before she looks down, gnawing on her thumb nail.
"I'm sorry Charlay but before I came in Zeus has stated that your partner will not be here until next week." Mr. D looks at Charlie, her hands rubbing the cushion of the couch as she nods, not saying anything at all to him, even when he pronounced her name wrong.
"You, Mr. Winters are matched to Ms. Hendrix."
My heart almost stops on the last word that escapes his lips. I'm being paired up with my best friend?! I look up at Wolf as he stares down at me, his skin brushing against mine, feeling like snow on a crisp winter night. I turn away because this wasn't fair; I wanted him to fall for me in the right way, not this bullshit.
"Mr. D I-"
"No, I don't want hear what you have to say Cat," He glares at all of us. "You all can go to your cabins and pack; you have a long time until you give birth to your babies. You, girls Hera will be here to 'assist' you before you meet back up with your partners."
Great, I get to meet the Goddess that's going to impregnate me.
