Hey guys, I've been debating this update for a while now. With today being the series finale of Glee, I wanted to release the final chapter. I really hope you guys like it and know that I am eternally grateful for you guys and for this show. You brought a lot of glee in my life by supporting me and allowing me to be a part of something special, the gleek fandom. I love you guys.
The Next Morning
Rachel woke up promptly at six in the morning to begin her morning routine. Thirty minutes on the elliptical and thirty minutes of vocal warmups. Today was going to be the day that she and Quinn finally put the past behind them and she wanted to be fully prepared. After breakfast Finn arrived to pick Rachel up.
"Good Morning Mr. Hudson." Rachel greeted Finn at the door with a quick kiss. "Do you mind waiting for a second? I have to go upstairs to get mine and Quinn's costume for Glee today."
"Sure, but costumes? What are you guys up to?"
"If only you knew." She gave him another quick kiss and ran upstairs.
Rachel's dad, Leroy entered the living room to see Finn.
"Good Morning Finn, what are you doing here?" Leroy was unaware of the recent change in Finchel's relationship. To be honest, he was still stuck on the whole Jesse St. James and "Total Eclipse of the Heart" debacle.
"Umm, I'm here to take Rachel to school." Finn wasn't sure if he should say anything about him and Rachel dating again because the last breakup didn't go so well.
"It's good to see that you guys are still friends. This time don't mess it up, she really does like you and I know that you guys will probably end up together if you aren't already. I have to go run errands, tell Rachel that I'll see her later. Goodbye Finn, and take care." Leroy turned to leave, when Finn stopped him.
"Don't worry sir, I won't do anything to hurt her ever again. I love her."
"Good." With that Leroy walked out the door as Rachel came down the stairs.
Rachel descended with two dresses, one black and a very large blue dress. Finn quickly grabbed them from her to prevent a repeat of last time she came down the stairs.
"Thank you Finn, it's very chivalrous of you." Rachel smiled at Finn.
"Are you ready to go Rach?"
"Yes, I need to drop off these costumes and sheet music for the band to rehearse before glee club."
Rachel and Finn made their way to school. After they dropped off the costumes and sheet music, Finn walked Rachel to class. As he turned to leave, he realized that this is it. This is true love. And his true love was that creepy little Jewish girl that freaked him out at his first glee rehearsal. The girl who set up a picnic in the auditorium for him with those tiny little airplane cups that he loves. The girl who baked sorry cookies and threw crazy parties. This was the girl that he wanted—needed to spend the rest of his life with. She was his moose. And he loved her more than anything.
Later in the Girls Locker Room
Quinn and Rachel were getting ready for their performance. Rachel was already dressed in her costume and was putting on the finishing touches to her makeup when she saw Quinn struggling with her costume.
"Need any help Quinn?"
"That would be lovely, please." Rachel quickly moved towards Quinn and helped her get on her dress.
"There we go. Wow, you look amazing Quinn!"
"Thank you, you look absolutely gorgeous in your dress. It was made for you." Rachel smiled. "Wow that felt different, it felt good. I'm sorry for everything I've said and done to you in the past, it was petty and childish."
"It's all in the past Quinn. Today is a new day and we need to put it all in past and move on. I'm finally happy and I think this may be a start of a beautiful friendship."
"Agreed." Quinn gave Rachel a hug. "They'll probably give us a pet name like Faberry or something."
"I bet you that Sam will probably come up with that."
"Probably. Are you ready Rachel Berry?"
"I was born ready Quinn Fabray."
The Choir Room
"Hello guys-"
"Wait, where is Rachel or Quinn?" Artie interrupted Mr. Shue.
"That's what I was about to answer. These two have decided to treat us to a little performance today, something theatrical. So enjoy."
Rachel and Quinn entered the choir room from opposite ends. Rachel was dressed in a full length black sleeved dress with a witch hat and Quinn was dress in a big blue dress and a small tiara. The music began immediately.

The girls received a standing ovation by the rest of the club. They took their bows and Rachel began to speak.
"We know that we haven't always gotten along in the past. I mean that song was basically our theme song from day one, but Quinn and I have decided to put it all behind us for the sake of the glee club. Thank you guys."
"That was great and all ladies, but for future reference Quinn, Glinda is mine." Everyone erupted in laughter at Kurt's comment.
"You guys should call yourselves Faberry!"
Rachel and Quinn looked at each other and started laughing. "I told you Quinn that Sam would come up with a name."
After glee club Rachel went to change and found a very anxious Finn Hudson at her locker.
"Hey what are you still doing here Finn?"
"I have a surprise for you."
"For little old me? Finn you shouldn't. Wait what is it?" Finn chuckled at Rachel.
"Follow me."
Finn led Rachel to the auditorium, which had a small little picnic set up just like the when Rachel had waiting for him last year.
"What is all this?" Rachel looked at Finn to see his adorable half-smile that made her weak at her knees.
"This is a promise." Rachel looked at Finn with a confused look.
"A promise?"
"Yes, I promise to always be there for you. To always listen to you, even when you go on for hours about how Barbra Streisand should host a television show. To never doubt you. To always be in the front row of every Broadway show you're in, especially Funny Girl. Most importantly I promise to love you forever." Finn bent down to give Rachel a passionate kiss. He pulled apart and whispered in her ear. "But first, let's sing a song."
"You truly understand me Finn."
Finn pressed play on the CD player and Adele's version of "Make You Feel My Love" started playing.

Rachel and Finn embraced each other for what seemed liked forever. Eventually they parted and enjoyed their picnic together.
"Thank you Finn. Not just for this, but for everything. When we are together, I am beyond happy. However, when we broke up I made some changes in my life and learned to defy gravity. I redefined the Rachel Berry everyone walked all over because I needed to learn to defend myself. I needed that, but I'm glad that we are back together because I feel safe with you and you always believe in me."
"I'll always believe in you Rachel."
"Good, Don't Stop Believin'"
"Did Rachel Berry just make a pun?"
"Yes I did and it was a really good one at that." Finn kissed Rachel's head and held her close. He wouldn't ever let her go.
"I love you."
"I love you more."
"If you say so."
Rachel and Finn graduated the next year and went off to New York together. After Rachel's opening night of Funny Girl, Finn planned a special evening in New York. That evening they took a train back to Lima, where he threw her a surprise party in the auditorium with everyone from school. Finn proposed to Rachel in the same auditorium that night where they sung their first duet, where they shared their first kiss, and where they fell in love. A wedding took place months later and after Rachel's five year run as Fanny Brice, she took Finn back to that same auditorium to tell her quarterback that they were expecting a baby. Who would've known that everything good in Rachel's life began on a random day back in sophomore year when she sang "You're the One that I Want" with the very handsome Finn Hudson.
