Wally Dumpty stared at the catalog Stara Twinkle had left under the dorm door. Stara was his best friend(and possibly girlfriend). She was the daughter of Little Star from the nursery rhyme Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. The two friends had a case of opposites attract; Stara being a troublemaker and a bit edgy, and Wally being over-the-top nerdy, no one even thought one knew the other existed.

Wally had asked Stara to give him a catalog that she always saw stuff she wanted in. Now, he had an issue of The Rabbithole's fashion magazine under the door.

"Someone doesn't know how to use a mailbox." His roommate, Bryan Firebird, laughed. Wally ignored him and plunked down on his bed.

The reason Wally had wanted the catalog in the first place was because he wanted to get Stara something nice before Thronecoming, in hopes it might win him a dance with her. He didn't want to have a fairy-fail of a gift, so he needed to know just what Stara wanted.

He flipped open the catalog and began leafing through the pages. He stopped when he saw a page with half of it folded over. He unfolded the page and straightened it out with his elbow.

"What kind of person folds half a page over?" Wally asked.

"She's your girlfriend." Bryan put in, nailing a light on the ceiling with his basketball. "You know, maybe she gave you that specific magazine as a hint that she wants to go shopping there."

Wally stopped flipping the pages. "Bryan, you are genius!" he shouted, jumping up and grabbing his MirrorPhone to hext Stara.

The next day, Wally stood outside The Rabbithole, waiting for Stara to show up. From across the street, he spotted a mop of short, blue-black hair, mostly hidden under a gold raincoat with a blue belt.

"Kinda rainy to go window shopping, you know." Stara said as she crossed the street. Her blue eyes gleamed through raindrops that splashed on her face.

"Yeah, sorry." Wally put his umbrella over her head. "It's dryer inside."

"Thanks, King Obvious." Stara laughed. The two walked inside and they immediately warmed up.

The Rabbithole Outfitters really kept its namesake. The walls were decorated with swirling patterns, just like a rabbithole would be. Songs by Imagine Dragonslayers and Nicki Mirage blared through the speakers.

"This definitely isn't my usual." Wally gulped. "I kinda prefer Egg's Warehouse."

"You invited me." Stara said, running over to a blue and pink party dress. "Hey, I heard Kim Kardashing wore this kind of dress. Too bad it's pink."

The two walked all around the store, until Wally noticed no one was behind him. He whipped around and saw Stara gazing up at a mannequin in the wall.

"C'mon, Star." he said, dragging Stara along. He looked up to the mannequin and saw nothing but a blue bead necklace with a gold pendant draped around its neck.

"Hey, do you wanna come to my dorm after this?" Stara asked. "I'm sure Tammy won't mind."

"Sure, why not." Wally nodded. They were in a long line to check out a tube of lip balm Stara needed.

Stara peeked ahead. "Oh my godmother, this line is slow." she moaned. "That woman looks like she has coupons for coupons."

When they finally got back to the dorm, Stara flicked on the TV on her side of the room. "Tammy's not here." she said. "Care for some television?"

"Don't say that." Wally laughed. "You're starting to sound like me."

Stara let Wally put on his station since they had just gone shopping at her shop. She couldn't care less about what was going on, until a commercial came on for a jewelry website.

Wally watched as she stared at the screen. When he looked, a woman was modeling a pretty blue necklace, kind of like the one from the store. What is it with her and that necklace, he thought.

Back at his own dorm, Wally caught Bryan flipping through the catalog.

"So, how did your trip go? Get any gift ideas?" Bryan asked, throwing the booklet across the floor.

"No, but Stara is acting weird." Wally admitted. "She was staring at this necklace at the store, and did the same when we were watching television."

"TV, dude." Bryan said, giving him a face. "Also, was it this necklace?" Bryan opened up to the creased page. Sure enough, the necklace was there, too.

"Yeah!" Wally sounded surprised.

Bryan shook his head. "Dude, you just can't take a hint, can you? She bookmarked it, stared at it twice, she obviously wants it!"

Bryan was right. Wally couldn't believe he had missed that. "I know what I'm doing today." he said, running out the door.

Stara came back to her dorm an hour later. She had returned to The Rabbithole to see if they still had the necklace she wanted, but someone had bought the last one.

"Can I come in?" she asked, knocking on the door.

"Yeah, don't just stand out there!" her roommate, Tammy Bo Peep answered.

As Stara entered, Tammy gestured to the starry hammock on the other side of the room. "Wally left this for you while you were gone." she said.

Stara examined the box before her. She carefully opened the lid and saw the necklace she had wanted. Beneath it was a letter:

For my Thronecoming queen.

Wallace

Stara hugged the box to her chest, smiling. "Thank you, Wally." she whispered. She would never forget this gift.
