This is a larger group of kids.
It shows two families: the Fahrenheits (Lea and Sera) and the Caelums (Ven and Naminé).
I only own my OC's: Sera, Brimstone, Blaze, Ryô, Mutran, and Common!
Fire Bright
"Uh! I hate homework!"
"It only gets worse when you get older…"
"Don't tell us that!"
Lea rolled his eyes and looked over to his friend. "Kids…"
"I hear ya," Ventus chuckled before turning his eyes back on the soccer game. "Come on! Come on! GOAL! Oh yea! Lea, that's ten munny you owe me!"
Grumbling, Lea reached in his pocket, "Shut up, Ven…"
"Did we score, Dad?"
"Yea we did!"
The three children, sitting at the dining room table, craned their necks to see the game. "Kids! You can watch the game when your homework is done." Naminé came over to the children.
"Yes, Aunt Nami…" the oldest child, a boy with spiky, dark brown hair, got back to his 2nd grade math homework.
The little blonde boy beside him slumped in his chair, "But Mom, this stuff is hard."
"It's only 1st grade work," the red-headed girl beside him cut in, "I've looked at Brim's work, his stuff is really hard."
Naminé knelt beside her son, "Blaze is right, Ryô, be thankful for this easy work."
"So, are you three going to do something for the talent show?" Sera walked into the room, blind eyes glittering.
The oldest boy scratched the back of his head, "Well…"
"Brimstone Roxas Fahrenheit," Lea came over and ruffled the boy's hair, "are you keeping secrets?"
"No! We just want it to be a surprise!"
The three kids ran down the streets of Radiant Garden, and into a house. Two boys, about 16 years old, looked at them. "There you three are!"
"Hi Mutran! Hi Common!"
The two stood up and smiled, "Let's get to practicing!"
Ven watched his son bounce around the backyard but, his steps were not random. It was as if he was listening to music in his head and dancing to it. He mouthed the words of some song.
"What's he up to?" Naminé came over and stood by her husband.
"I think it's something for the talent show." He turned as someone knocked on the door. Ven went over and opened the door. A 16 year old boy with dark, chocolaty skin and two black rabbit ears sticking out of his head, stood there, a shoe box in his hands. "Who are you?"
The boy smiled, "My name is Common Battle; my brother, Mutran, and I are helping those kids out with their talent show presentation. This is for Ryô… he wouldn't want you to peek since he wants to surprise you."
"Ok…" Ven raised an eyebrow. He'd seen this boy around and had no reason to not trust him. "Thank you, Common." He closed the door and went outside. "Ry… Ryô… Ryô Sora Caelum!"
His son stopped, "What's up, Dad?"
"Common Battle dropped this off for you…"
The kid smiled and dashed towards him, swiping the box. "Thanks Dad!"
"Blaze Xion Fahrenheit, you are not wearing that!"
"But Daddy," the red-haired girl huffed, "I've got leggings on too…"
Lea looked at the short shorts his 6 year old was wearing, and the leggings underneath. "I… guess its ok."
"Thank you Daddy!" she smiled and took off upstairs to where her brother awaited her.
Lea stared after her. "What are those kids up too?"
The day of the talent show arrived and Ryô, Blaze, and Brimstone were nowhere to be found. Ven, Naminé, Lea, and Sera sat on the front row; Common and his brother sat a few chairs down. Lea could see Ansem the Wise and all his apprentices a few rows back.
All the performances, so far, had been good. Aerith stood on the stage with the microphone. "All right," she said, "up next, making their debut performance, Fire Bright!"
Everyone clapped but, no one knew who 'Fire Bright' was. Three figures came on from offstage and the four parents gasped. Blaze, Brimstone, and Ryô were the three onstage; their shirts all held the words Fire Bright.
They stood still for a minute, Blaze on the left, Ryô on the right, and Brim in the middle. The room became silent as a fast, electronic beat echoed through the performance hall.
The three jumped and began dancing in sync, making the crowd cheer.
Brimstone bounced to the front of the stage, and began singing…
"Hot and blazing, round the town,
There ain't othing' to bring us down.
Flames they grow and fill the air,
We're comin' at ya, so beware."
Ryô jumped up beside his friend, grinning like a fox, as he two began to sing…
"Lighting up the sky tonight,
Darkness can't put up a fight.
We come around to make a stand,
And FYI it will be grand!"
Cartwheeling to center stage, Blaze joined in…
"We're Fire Bright,
And we'll show you our stuff.
We're Fire Bright,
One glimpse is enough.
To see us shine,
Blazing bright.
The boy's voices came alongside hers…
"You better watch out!
We're Fire Bright!"
They froze in their ending poses as the song ended. The room burst into applause as everyone stood to their feet.
"Oh, you guys were amazing!" Sera hugged her two children; she may not have seen them, but she could most certainly hear them.
"Aww, thanks Mom…"
Lea wrapped his wife and kids in his arms. "I'm so proud of you two!"
Naminé and Ven embraced their son. "You were sensational!"
"Thank you!" Ryô smiled, "Guess what?"
"What?"
"We made that song, with some help from Mutran and Common, but we made it." The boy's grin widened. "Brim wrote the words, I made up the dance moves, and Blaze helped Mutran make the music!"
The parents looked at the three children, in awe. "That's so amazing!"
"Indeed…" Ansem the Wise approached. "You children have wonderful talent. I trust we'll be seeing more of 'Fire Bright' in the future?"
The kids looked at each other and grinned. "Oh yea!"
Yes, Ven and Nami live in Radiant Garden. They moved their after they married.
In KH4 Brimstone will be 16, Blaze and Ryô will be 15!
