This is a short, but cute chapter.

I actually got my dad (who thinks Kingdom Hearts is stupid) to laugh at part of this.

Never Alone

Glacies, Xally, and Justin slept soundly in their rooms while Terra and Aqua lay awake, eyes bloodshot.

"Aqua, I don't know how much more of this we can take."

"At least the kids are sleeping well." Aqua rolled over in the bed to face her husband. The two parents winced as a cry echoed through the halls. "Too bad we couldn't put the noise-filter spell around our room."

Terra threw off the covers and stood up. "I'll calm him down… unless he needs you."

"I just fed him twenty minutes ago, he should be fine."

Terra went into the room two doors down. A cry filled the room as Terra approached a cradle. "Ignis Riku Petra… You are so much trouble, you know that?" He looked down at the squirming infant. The baby held out his arms to his father. "Is that all you wanted… to be cuddled?" He took the baby in his arms and held him close. "I guess I have no choice."

Eventually, the baby fell back to sleep. Terra came back to bed and Aqua placed her hand on his chest. "I almost forgot the 'joys' of having an infant in the castle."

"Yea, but even Glacies didn't cry as much as he does."

"Let's try and get some sleep at least once tonight." Aqua kissed his cheek and rolled over. She and Terra soon fell asleep.

The next morning, Aqua went to the window of the baby's nursery. Her infant son was still asleep and she could see the three older children beginning their morning training. Since Terra and Aqua got, virtually, no sleep the night before, they had put Glacies in charge of training.

She heard a whimper behind her as the baby awoke. Going to the cradle, she smiled. "Well, good morning, Ignis."

Ignis opened his big blue eyes and gurgled happily as his mother smoothed his cerulean hair. Terra came and stood in the doorway. "Why don't you go shower, honey? I've had mine already. I'll watch the trouble-maker."

"Thank you, Terra."

"Come here you," Taking the baby from his wife, the father began rocking his son.

Aqua had to admit, though Terra was usually calm, cool, and collected, he became really silly and playful when it came to the kids. She watched as he sat on the floor and laid their son down; he began tickling Ignis's sides, making the infant laugh.

"Trouble. Trouble. Trouble." He teased as he tickled his son. The infant's laughter caused his heart to leap with joy. "You're nothing but trouble."

When Aqua returned she covered her mouth as she chuckled. Terra lay asleep on the floor with Ignis on his chest. "You're both trouble…" She picked up Ignis and took him down to the dining area. "You're probably hungry." Draping a blanket over one side of her, she began to feed her son.

"Aqua," Terra came into the room, "Would you like some breakfast?"

"Sure…"

Terra rocked his son as Aqua ate her food. "I'll go train the kids when you're done eating."

"Sounds good." Putting the cereal bowl in the sink, the woman took her son. "Go ahead. Get as much training in before you get too tired." Her husband nodded and left.

Ignis gurgled as he reached for his mother's face. Aqua held out a finger and let him grab it. Her eyes drifted to the window, where she could see Terra instructing the other three kids. A smile crossed her features.

After Xehanort's defeat, she was the only one with no family left; all she had was Terra. Now, things were different. She had a family now; she had a husband and four children. Even though two were adopted, they were the most beautiful people to her.

"Oh!" she looked down as the little baby started pulling on the collar of her robe. "You want attention… I know…" She kissed Ignis's forehead. She began tickling her son. It brought her such joy to know that her children wouldn't be killed. Her children wouldn't be alone in the world. Her children would live out their entire lives with two parents who loved them.

"My dear Ignis, you'll never have to be alone in the world. You'll have me and Daddy for a long, long time."

Nothing made her happier than knowing her children would never be alone… like she once was.

Ignis won't play a big role in KH4 because he will only be 3 in the story.
