Chapter 12
*The Forest Vetus*
"Don't move!" drawled a voice from behind Endymion. The blade of a huge silver sword was pressed against the back of his neck. He could feel the sharpness of the blade slightly cutting the surface of his skin. Serena froze underneath him, terror in her large azure eyes. Her hands weakly trying to cover her naked breasts. She immediately started shaking with fear as fat tears began to spill from her eyes.
"Turn around slowly, and don't try anything your majesty or I'll cut your head right off with this blade," threatened the voice behind Endymion, "This isn't a normal blade, it's very special and powerful, I will use it against you if I have to."
Endymion looked down at Serena, considering his options. 'I can't risk Serena getting hurt' he thought dejectedly. If he had been alone, there would have been no doubt, he would have put up a fight like no one else could.
"Get up slowly," cajoled the voice backing away from Endymion.
Endymion sighed deeply and arose slowly turning to face the person that he knew had probably been following them for awhile. He came face to face with a Crugi, behind him he could see others standing outside the cave, their eyes burning into him.
"You are not taking us to the Palace without a fight," started Endymion, jaw clenching in anger. 'I can't believe I let my guard down!' he thought, eyeing his sword on the other side of the cave.
"We have no intentions of taking you to the Palace your majesty" said the strange Crugi gesturing to the others behind him. They reluctantly came forward and stood obediently awaiting orders.
"What do you want?!" demanded Endymion confused about what was really going on. His eyes had quickly roamed the Cruigi's uniforms and determined that they were not regular soldiers. They wore large silvery cloaks over pale slacks and shirts. Their skin wasn't like any normal Crugi, it was crackled though but it was less green and instead adorned with golden speckles. It was really quite mesmerizing, so much so that Endymion failed to notice the Crugi in charge sneak up behind him and knock him over the head with the hilt of his sword. The last thing he heard was Serena's faint screams echoing throughout the cave.
*Palace Dining Room*
"He's gone!" yelled Andrew in horror as he burst through the large golden doors of the dining room, startling the occupants seated at the large table.
"What the bloody hell is going on?!" gasped King Elysion dropping his fork and jumping to his feet.
"It's Endy!" whispered Andrew trying to control his labored breathing, "He's gone! I went to his office to speak to him and I found this note."
King Elysion walked over to Andrew helping over to a nearby chair as the others tended to him. He took the note from Andrew and read the dreaded words sprawled upon it from his son. 'I'm going to murder that boy when I get my hands on him!' thought King Elysion frowning.
"Andrew, you shouldn't be up, you're still not a 100%" said Ami checking his pulse, "Did you run all the way here?!"
Andrew nodded weakly, his face becoming deathly pale, "I had to make sure Endymion was okay especially after Reika told me what happened to Serena."
The girls gathered around Andrew reassuring him that Serena and Endymion would be okay. No one really believing their own words. If Endymion had really gone after Serena, then they could both be in serious trouble right now.
Luna and Artemis approached King Elysion, who stood in the corner of the room, still inspecting Endymion's note carefully. Luna rested her hand on his shoulder, giving him a gentle smile, " Are you okay?"
Even Artemis, who had only moments ago been so dead set on giving the King a piece of his mind later about touching his mate reached out to him in concern. "He's fine, their probably on their way back right now. You know how strong Endymion is, he's no match for those Crugis," said Artemis.
King Elysion sighed deeply, " I hope so…I can't believe he went after that girl. This is all so unlike the Endy I know. I wouldn't be his father if I didn't worry. I have to see to his safety immediately."
Luna and Artemis exchanged sad glances as King Elysion departed from the room looking more nervous than they had ever seen him before.
*A Temple outside of Largos*
Endymion groaned in pain, his head was throbbing. 'What the hell happened?' The last thing he remembered was being in the cave with Serena and being interrupted by those damn Crugis.
Serena rushed to his side, dropping to her knees and clutching his head, "Endymion! You're awake! Thank the moons!" Serena planted frantic kisses all along his face happily. She had been so worried about him and so afraid in this strange place.
Endymion got up slowly with Serena's help and he took in his surroundings. They were in some sort of large stone temple; the walls had a pale yellow hue and the ceiling was magnificently tall. Beautiful, gigantic glass windows with a strange symbol on each pane surrounded them. Curiously, the temple was barren of any sort of idols, there was just one large gold symbol similar to the ones on the window, in the middle of the room on a pedestal. 'How had they gotten here!' he wondered glancing at Serena who was now dressed in a large silver robe while he was wearing nothing but his now dry black pants.
"They teleported us here to this place, I don't know where we are Endymion! Their not like the Crugis at the Palace though. They seem nicer especially that one they all seem to follow," whispered Serena sensing his confusion. She was still so scared though, things seemed to be getting worse by the minute. First she was kidnapped, then rescued by Endymion now they were both captured again. 'I'm gonna need a vacation after all this!' thought Serena tearing up.
Endymion reached down and cupped her face with his hand, "We'll be alright Sere, don't worry. I won't let anyone hurt you."
Serena smiled up at him closing her eyes, she trusted him with all her heart. She blushed suddenly remembering what had taken place between them in the cave. They had almost went all the way, she couldn't believe she had let him be so close to her, so intimate. She bit down on her little pink lips and allowed herself to reminisce about how good his hands felt on her body.
Endymion leaned forward and tucked a stray strand of golden hair behind her little ear. She looked like an angel in silver robes, her cheeks stained with red, as she blushed furiously under his gentle touch. He pulled her close to his bare chest and wrapped his arms around her small frame, nuzzling his face against her neck.
Serena smiled and hugged Endymion tighter, she knew that no matter what, he would always be there for her. It made her feel good knowing that she could depend on him like this, to comfort and take care of her. She hadn't felt like that since her parents had passed away. She never knew it was possible to feel so close to someone, especially not a man. 'I think I'm in love' thought Serena, both nervous and excited at the same time.
Endymion kissed Serena's neck slowly and made his was to her cheek, planting little kisses as he went. Serena turned to face him and gasped in surprise when she saw the Crugi from before observing them in silence.
"Forgive the interruption," said the Crugi sticking out his hand towards Endymion, " I think we all need to have a talk."
Endymion stared at him coldly for a moment, trying to figure out his angle, "What is all this about? Who are you? One minute you knock me out then the next you're trying to be civil?"
"I had to knock you out because I figured you wouldn't come easily, King Endymion," said the Crugi withdrawing his hand from Endymion, "allow me to introduce myself, my name is Nuumite. I am a loyal servant of Prince Sapphire."
Serena gasped, earlier at the Palace she heard some of the guards mumbling about someone called Nuumite that the King was looking for. 'This must be him! I hope he's not some crazed criminal or something'
"Prince Sapphire?! Son of King Topaz? I thought he was dead!" exclaimed Endymion thoroughly confused at his point. He moved closer to Nuumite, towering over him, 'I could easily overpower him now, my strength is returning. The solar storm must be coming to an end'
"Don't try it King Endymion, I didn't bring you here for that," said Nuumite cautiously backing away from Endymion, "I am here on behalf of Prince Sapphire. What I have to tell you concerns both you and Serena."
Serena perked up from behind Endymion curiously, "What?! Why does it concern me?"
Just as Nuumite was about to answer Serena's question, a loud boom outside rattled the temple, startling them. Nuumite ran out of the temple immediately, yelling for his men as the temple walls began to crumble, dust and debris flying everywhere. Serena screamed and clutched at Endymion's shirt in terror. Suddenly a faint glow radiated off Endymion's body, sensing his father's power upon him, he grabbed Serena's hand as they were teleported away from the temple. When they opened their eyes they were in his office surrounded by King Elysion himself.
"Endy!" exclaimed King Elysion grabbing hold of his son and squeezing the life out of him. 'He's okay! Gaia would have killed me if something had happened to our boy' thought King Elysion gratefully.
Endymion gasped for air, trying in vain to push his father away, "Get off me you crazy old man!"
Serena stood awkwardly on the side fiddling with her robes not sure what to do and still in shock from what had just happened. 'I wonder what Nuumite was going to say…' thought Serena frowning. She suddenly felt sick and overwhelmed, her stomach lurched and her breathing became erratic. Serena fell to the floor completely exhausted, whimpering softy in her emotional state.
Endymion pushed his father away roughly, causing him to collide with his desk as he went to Serena's aid. He placed his hand against her forehead, 'She's burning up, poor thing.' Without a word to his shocked father, he scooped Serena up in his arms and sauntered out of the office with her.
King Elysion just stood braced against the desk, completely taken aback at what he just witnessed. His son, his baby had just pushed him away and for some girl. This was definitely something new for King Elysion. He could not remember the last time he saw his son acting so protective over a girl. 'He must be in love' thought King Elysion.
A Few Hours Later
*Endymion's Room*
Endymion lay on his side snuggled up in his oversized four poster bed. His arm was draped around Serena's small sleeping form like a protective blanket. The doctor had been in to see her and urged Endymion to let her rest for awhile. She was in a state of shock no doubt caused by the events of the last couple of days. Endymion himself could relate, he was beyond frustrated and exhausted by the whole situation. He pulled her closer to his naked form and drifted off into a peaceful sleep moments later.
"Awe they look so precious," said Mina dreamily as she clutched onto Kunzite's arm. They both exchanged knowing glances. 'Their so in love' they both thought simultaneously. The mischievous pair had snuck in to check on Endymion and Serena. The rest of the gang were busy putting together a small gathering to celebrate Serena's safe return as well as Andrew's recovery.
Mina smiled and stated blissfully, "I can sense so much love radiating off them." She had realized immediately upon inspecting the pair that the strong urges she had been sensing before was caused by Endymion and Serena. It was really shocking at first but it was obvious that the two of them were very much in love with each other. 'I have a feeling things are going to keep getting pretty interesting around here' thought Mina.
Kunzite sighed as he ran a hand through his long silver hair unsurely, 'I don't know, I'm worried about what Endymion is going to do. You don't know him like I do Mina. He's not going to admit his feelings so easily, this is going to freak him out" He knew Endymion cared for Serena deeply, but he also knew that Endymion had never been in love before. And he wasn't sure his King would know how to handle this. 'I hope Serena doesn't get hurt.'
"Kunz! Love always finds a way!" exclaimed Mina as she grabbed his hand and dragged him out of Endymion's bedroom. She shut the large gold doors very quietly and waved goodbye to the guards that sat by the window eating the sweet dumplings she had used to bribe them with to gain entry to Endymion's room.
Kunzite just shook his head in amusement and let her drag him back to his room. He and Mina had grown very close the last few days, he felt so lucky to have met such a wonderful, fun loving not to mention gorgeous girl. She had no idea that in a few weeks, he would be bringing her along with him to his home in Venus, to introduce her to the beautiful planet where he was born. 'She is going to love it there!' thought Kunzite smugly.
*Throne Room in Largos*
"Nuumite, my dear friend, it's been such a very long time," said King Zirconium satisfied that his men had come through and brought Nuumite to him, "I'm sorry for the circumstances of your summoning but I really need some information from you about my father."
Nuumite bent forward and bowed respectfully to King Zirconium, "I will try my best to help you with the information you seek but I must first give you a warning. Princess Beryl of Acerbus whose alliance you so willingly accept, is not to be trusted, she means to end you and take over Largos."
King Zirconium arched an eyebrow at Nuumite, taken back by Nuumite's forwardness, "That is of no concern to you. How did you even come by this information? There are few around here that are privileged to that information."
"Your father told me," whispered Nuumite darkly causing King Zirconium to gasp in shock.
