What up guys! I'm posting again today so here's chaoter 10. Any questions or comments? Just click review!:~)
"What on earth are you doing on the floor?" I cracked open one eye. Bonnie stood before me with both hands on her hips and a sour expression on her face. I then realised what day it was. I might as well have just never woken up if I knew. I sat up slowly taking everything in. Alex, Morgan, and Jeff were still asleep on the floor. Birds. Birds were singing outside and the sun was shining. It looked like a perfect morning. Would have been if I didn't know twenty-three children were going to die. I got to my feet and walked to my room. I knew it would be the last time I see it. When I came back out Ferren was waiting for me. No words were exchanged, we just silently walked to the stylists' room.
It felt like I wasn't even controlling my body as I put my clothes on. Suddenly Ferren spoke. "Looks like it might be hot and cold in the arena. Your pants can be detached and made into shorts. Your shirt's light, but we're supposed to give you this." He handed me a small bundle that fit in the palm of my hand. " It's supposed to be a jacket. When it gets cold, cut the string and it unfolds." I looked at myself in the mirror. I was wearing cargo pants, a black t-shirt, and hiking boots. My hair was put into pigtails at the back of my head. Going for the dangerous child look. I felt a pair of hands go around my waist and then leave. Ferren had gotten my belt back and made some adjustments. Instead of being one strap there was two of them. They bothe crosse at the buckle. The wolf on it gleamed like it was brand new. "Thank you." "Yeah, yeah. Save the mushiness for later." We boarded the hovercraft with the rest of the tributes. I sat in between Ferren and Alex. looked over at the boy in front of me. He was getting something injected in his arm by a nurse.
His face looked in pain and he acted like he was about to cry. The nurse came over to me and reached for my arm. "What's that?" I asked pointing to the needle. "Your tracker." After she said this she yanked my arm and stabbed the needle in. "Holy shit!" I screamed. That was only a few of the colorful words I said. All the tributes turned to stare at me, but I didn't care. Right now my arm was hurting like hell. Ferren tried to soothe me, but that didn't help much. Alex looked like she was about to cry and seeing what happened to me didn't help. The nurse gently took Alex's arm and smoothly inserted the needle. The only thing Alex did was bite her lip. I just had my mouth open and started to complain. "But? How..why!?" Ferren shushed me and the careers just laughed and sneered. I wasnted to go over and smack those smiles off those faces. The redhead (district one) just winked when I glared. I was about to ask what his problem was when the hovercraft stopped moving. Meaning it was time to get off. Alex and I seperated and went off in different directions. Before I had to get in the tube I turned to face Ferren. "Ferren, thank you for everything. I wish I could have met you back in twelve." " Don't worry about it. You'll get out, I know you will. Your strong, brave, and courageous. Not only that, but you have hope." He lurched forward and embraced. "You'll come back sister of Panem." I looked at him once more before stepping on my pedistal. As the tube slid down around me, the dorr opened to the room. Jeff ran in and started pounding on the glass. He was screaming, but I couldn't hear him. I could read his lips though. Run! Don't fight, run! Soon the peacekeepers came in and started dragging him out, but before they did he said one last thing. I love you. They then started to punch him so he would stop stuggling. "No! Stop, let him go!" Now I was the one yelling. I started going up and the last thing I saw was Ferren trying to grab a peacekeeper. I was starting to shake, I was so angry. I fisted my hands, but remembered that I was still holding my jacket. I found a pocket at the top of my pants that was big enough and slipped the jacket inside. Then light poured into the tube and I could see my surroundings. The cornucopia stood in the middle of a lake. The pedistals were in between four strips of land. No pedistal was close enough to the land to jump on it. They want it to be a long bloodbath. There were four sections to the arena, it was as if each strip divided it. Ome led to a snowy tundra. The others led to a desert, forest, and tropical jungle.
I looked for Alex, but couldn't see her. She must be on the other side of the cornucopia. The countdown started at sixty, so I said my last goodbyes.

*GONG!* Go! I dove straight into the water and swam. I couldn't feel anything, just my arms and legs moving. I felt my arm hit something. I grabbed a hold of it and heaved myself up. I was clumsy running at first, but I still ran fast. Other tributes were having problems or haven't even moved yet.
I was runnig towards the cornucopia because behind it was the forest. I was about to pass it when a gleam caught my eye. Two axes were hanging on the tail of the cornucopia. Those are for me! I snatched them and kept running. I knew by now that the careers were already getting weapons. I could hear them clinking in the distance. I could even feel them watching. As I grabbed the backpack and slung it over my shoulder something lodged into it. Not wanting to turn around I just kept running. I finally made it into the tree line. It was judt like home. Running over leaves, jumping over logs. I ran for about an before I stopped.
I looked for a tall tree and started climbing. When I settled between a crook in the branches I opened my backpack. But first before looking I dislodged the knife, which was meant to hit my back. I set the knife in my belt and looked through my bounty. I had one sleeping bag, a bag of jerky, a medium sized bag of dried fruit, and a bottle of water. Thank god it's filled. I took a small sip and washed it around my mouth before swallowing. I looked at myself. No wounds, but I did have a deep scratch on my left leg. Great no first aid kit. It would be my luck if it got infected and then started rotting. I shivered because I've seen that happen in twelve.
I stayed in the tree for a while organizing my stuff. I had three weapons which hang from my belt and about one weeks worht of food if I stretch it out. My water's only gonna last about today and tomorrow though. I better hunt for another source since I don't want to go back to the copia. But I don't have iodine. Crap! No first aid kit, no iodine. If I get hurt I'm screwed. I just sighed and stared at the artificial sun. I was concentrating so hard that when the cannons sounded I jumped. *BOOM!* One. *BOOM!* Two. Silence. Nothing else happened. Only two are dead. It's gonna be a long Hunger Games. Oh Thornsby I hope you get us out of here. *ZING!* An arrow sat right next to my head in the trunk of the tree. I looked down to see two smiling faced.
