Hello guys here's chapter 12! So Jewels is undead. Did you get it?... Okay bad joke on my part. I took someone's advice you know who you are and did this in other people's POVs. I do not own the Hunger Games. Enjoy!:~)
Morgan's POV: " What? Why did they say she's dead?" Simmens! Simmens or as we know him better as the head gamemaker pressed the intercom button. "Please calm yourself Morgan, it's all part of the plan." " Oh yah the plan that you didn't tell me about!" I slouched back in my chair and ran my hand through what was left of my hair. "Jeff's not going to like this."
Jeff's POV: " NO! DUMB GAMEMAKERS! Now Alex will believe she's dead and won't look for her. Jewels will be all alone. NO! NO! NO!" I started kicking the couch I was sitting on and threw the remote at the t.v. It went right through the projection and hit the wall behind it. It didn't even faze it for a second. I groaned and put my head in my hands. Come on Jewels don't lose hope.
Jewels POV: I'm about to lose hope. Alex thinks I'm dead I mean why wouldn't she? She might not even want to go home now and I don't want that. Come Alex don't lose it.
Alex's POV: I was sitting in the snow around a fire when the cannons sounded. I looked up in the sky waiting for the faces to appear. As the anthem played I worried about Jewels. I hadn't seen her since the first day, but her face hasn't shown up yet. The first face appeared, and it was the district seven girl. Her partner showed up next. Finally it was... "Jewels!" I screamed. I started sobbing violently. I couldn't hold it back, the tears just kept coming and I wouldn't stop them. Dead. How an she be dead? She was so strong and I promised to protect her. I broke my promise Jewels I'm sorry. I brought three fingers to my mouth and then to the air. "I'm sorry." I whisper. If only I knew just how many people were shouting at me telling me I was wrong. I slid back on to the snow and cried softly. Next to Alex in the sweltering desert was Jewels. Who was... freaking out.
Jewels POV: She probably thinks I'm dead. Why would they say I'm dead? I began pacing as my water bottle filled in the spring. I hoplessly let out a sigh and sat on a boulder. It was a clear night, yet there was no stars. Stars were always my hope for a better tomorrow. But it looks like there isn't any.
I woke up later in the night in a cool sweat. Nightmares plague my sleep, just like everyone else. I sat up and looked for the moon. No moon either, for a place that's supposed to look like real enviroment it's not doing a very good job. I stared up at the inky blackness and waited for the sun to rise. And waited. Then waited some more. Come on, I know I didn't get up that early the sun should be up by now. I literally couldn't see a thing, all was dark. I could barely make out the line of my hand in front of my face. I heard the crunching of feet as someone walked near me. I looked around frantically trying to hear any sound that would tell me from which direction they were coming from. Nothing until the laughter. " Ha, ha! What's the matter twelve trying to play marco polo?" "Ha, ha, ha!" "He, he!*Snort!*" Whoever just laughed better see a doctor about that. From the sound of thier voices and footsteps there's probably only two of them. But how did they find me in the dark?
"They said you were dead, but apparently you aren't. So we'll help you out and finish the job." I started to sink deeper in the cluster of rocks until one of them stopped me. "Don't move twelve you can't see us, but we can see you." Oh no I gave them the bird just to see what they would do. A deep rumble emerged from his throat. "How did my great uncle live next to morons like this." That's when I realised these two tributes had see-in-the-dark glasses. Also that those two were careers and I had just flipped them off. Not good. Before anything else could be said Claudius Templesmith made an announcement. "As many of you have noticed the arena is in a temporary blackout, so because some of you have see-in-the-dark goggles and have an advantage say goodbye to it. From now on your goggles will not work. Good luck and may the odds be ever in you favor." What? No!" I could hear the district two male throw his goggles on the ground. "Milo where are you?" "Right next to you on your left." "Where?" "To your left, not right! God Czarina I don't know how you made it this far." "Hey it's not my fault I can't see." "Nobody can see right now." "Exactly." *Sigh.* I guess I should say something.
"Umm... if you guys are done, I think I'll just leave right about now..." I started scruffing my shoe against the rock I was sitting on. "Twelve comeback here." "Wait Milo I can't find you grab my hand." "Here." "Twelve." I heard them walk away still shouting for me. After a while I heard two cannons go off. I wonder if it was them? I sat for a long time or atleast it felt like a long time. Slowly so I wouldn't lose any of it I drank and ate. I got tired so I finally fell into a dreamless sleep. "Ow." My eyes hurt really badly when I woke up. The sun was once more blazing in my face.
"Well atleast I can see." I mumbled. Looking around I saw the humidity was so thick it looked like... oh what was the word the capitol called it...smog that's it. It looked like smog. Everything past fifty feet looked hazy. " Better start moving." I was felling adventurous or crazy ( which ever you prefer ) today, so I set off to find Alex. She needs me now. I filled up my water bottle, looked once more at the oasis and walked on. I kept walking straight until I came upon two bodies. Well they looked like they had been bodies once. They looked like red, bloated, pieces of meat that had marks all over their legs and arms. Something got to them before they got me. I looked over them for weapons, but all they had were spears. I wasn't particulary good with spears, so I just let them keep it and kept walking. I walked across the desert, not even sure if I was getting any closer to the next area. Isn't the next area a tundra? Out of the frying pan and into the icebox. Maybe Alex is there though.
I trudged on toward my destination, carefully checking the ground for predators. I've read that the desert has a lot of snakes and scorpions, here that are poisonous. I kept walking until I saw something dark float down from the sky. It fell right in front of me, so I reached down to grab it. Before I coud though a black scorpion crawled over it, blocking where I was going to grab it. I slipped my axe from my belt and flicked the scorpion with it. The scorpion flew off the pot and flipped over on its backside, when I swung down my axe to cut it in the middle. The scorpion stopped squirming after a minute. I looked around the parachute a final time before grabbing it. On the note it said 'Because you don't need anything else.-M' In the container was a small first aid kit. Looking up at the sky as if he could see me (he probably could) I said," Thanks Morgan." My first aid kit went in my backpack, with all my other stuff. It was the only thing I really needed except for food (I was running low only about two days worth) and water. (Probably will only last a few days as well.)
Can't complain though I'm glad I've made it this far. There's only six tributes dead though. That's not counting me since...well since I'm not dead. *Growl.* Huh? I turned around, and nothing was there, but a bunch of rocks. Wait are they rocks? I hesitantly threw sand at it. An eye opened. *Growl.* Uh oh I think I made it mad. Both of its eyes were now open and it was growling really loudly. *GROWL!* Another one nearby growled and crawled over. They looked like beetles upon closer inspection and ten feet was as close as I was getting to them. I started moving farther away and they kept moving closer. Where their mouths were supposed to be were tweezer like beaks, that were razor sharp. I think that's what got district two. I just backed up a little faster and that's when they came at me. Forget backing up I'm running! I ran fast but they were mutts and I could hear them scuttling right behind me. I saw a ravine about fifty feet ahead of me if I could jump... I better try. Ready, jump! I flew over the ravine, almost made it, no! I was f

Jewels fell down a ravine probably dying for real. I killed off my character. Most... likely. Read the next chapter to see for yourself! :~)
