A/N: Ok so this is the product of a Kainora idea I had while taking a shower. I just love the idea of Rohan turning out to be a nonbender like his mom and Kai helping him not feel so left out whenever he sees his older siblings have fun flying and airbending.

"Are you ready bud?" Kai ask he took his stance.

Rohan adjusted his goggles over his eyes and tightened his hands over the snaps of his airbending suit and crouched down. "Ready!" The seven year old chirped as a brave and determined grin spread across his face.

"Ok, now remember what I told you," Kai started, "Open the wings when you feel like you're about to fall. Got it?"

"Yes sir, boss!" Rohan chirped once again, determination never leaving his face.

"Ok, here we go." Kai said before bending a huge gust of wind down in a shaft usually used to test the strength of an airbender's ability, but instead of pushing up a bolder that would be sitting on the vent on the other side, he launched the young nonbender in the air. Rohan scream and shouted with joy as he was launched into the air, laughter following him up. Kai smiled as he watched the little boy fly up in the air, laughing like a maniac.

"Hey Kai," a familiar voice called out. Kai turned around to see his girlfriend walk up the stone steps to the training area.

"Hey Jinora." Kai smiled as he walked over to her and held her hands as he kissed her cheek, getting a light blush to spread over her face.

Once the blush disappeared from the eighteen-year-old's face she looked around the area. "Have you seen Rohan? Mom's looking for him and Meelo said that he ran off with you this morning."

Kai looked up to see that Rohan had opened the wings on his suit and was gliding through the air now, still laughing like an idiot. "I think he'll be down here soon."

"Down?" Jinora said confused as she looked up to see what Kai was smiling at. Once she saw her little brother in a wing suit and gliding through the air, panic instantly hit her. "What is he is doing up there?! He can't bend remember?!"

"Oh don't worry. He just wanted to know what gliding was like." Kai said calmly as he looked at her, a calm smile on his face.

"But he can't airbend!" Jinora shouted out of panic again. She then started to get ready to jump up and get Rohan back to the ground, but was stopped when Kai put his hand on his girlfriend's shoulder.

"Hey, calm down. He's going to be ok. I've been teaching him all morning. He knows what he's doing." Kai explained, trying calm Jinora down.

Jinora then looked up and saw the Rohan was doing a good job at gliding on his own, but a new problem popped in her mind. "You taught him?" She said as turned to Kai and crossed her arms.

"Yep." Kai smiled as he nodded his head.

"Just on how to glide?" She asked again, hoping that he would catch on to where she was going with her questions.

"Yeah?" Kai said, Jinora's expression making him a little confused on where he went wrong. He then looked up again and saw that Rohan was still gliding just fine.

Jinora then pitched the bridge of her nose, realizing that Kai was never going to catch on. "How is he going to land?!" She snapped, staring up at Kai's shocked face.

Kai opened his mouth to respond, but then his face feel as fear and shock struck. "Hold on buddy, I'm coming!" Kai yelled before jumping up and flying toward Rohan to help him land.

Jinora sighed as she watched the two in the air. "I know his heart was in the right place, but he can be such an idiot sometimes." She said to herself as she put her hands on her hips and waited for the two to come back down to Earth.
