Terence Higgs didn't know how he could elaborate any further. "Mom, listen to me," he spoke slowly and clearly.

Edna Higgs nodded, her eyes wide and mouth gaped open.

"I'm gay. I'm not going to get married to some witch and give you grandchildren. It's just not going to happen, and you will need to learn to get used to it."

"You're so athletic," she protested weakly.

Terence rolled his eyes at the stereotype. "That doesn't mean anything. I have a boyfriend, and I would like you to meet him. Will you be polite?"

She wordlessly nodded.

He needed at the guy patiently waiting for him, and long strides brought the man to the duo. "Mother, this is Warren. Warren, this is my mother."

"Pleased to meet you, Mrs. Higgs."

"Pleased to meet you, dear," His mother returned, still shocked at the turn of events.
