Chapter 5: Prisoners

"Ly!"

The hero of the Glades of Dreams, accompanied by Skye, had ventured deep through the thick jungle area of the Glade.

Right now, the fairy of the Glade was their only hope. Could she help them?

Fortunately, they found her meditating in a clearing of the forest. Rayman and his complain approached her.

"Ly, we need your help, we-"

"Need me to take back the little one?" the lovely, calm fairy spoke, completing his sentence.

"Y-yeah." Rayman returned.

Ly let out a sigh as she lowered herself from her meditative state. Rayman already felt doubt.

"Rayman, we don't know where she is from. The only one who could possibly bring her back to her home is the one who left her here."

"But we didn't see who it was," the hero gritted his teeth. "There has to be another way!"

"Calm down," she said gently. "I'm afraid she has to stay here. If Polokus's magic can't take her back, then we have to let her remain here and just hope her parents will come."

"But we can't just sit here! That's stupid!" Rayman snapped.

"Please understand. This time, it just can't be helped. Have patience."

"I've been patient long enough, it's time we-"

A dragon's roar could be heard in the distance. Ly sighed.

"We have bigger problems right now, don't you agreed?"

Rayman let out a deep sigh, and left the fairy with Skye.

"Hey, moron, y'know just spawning loads of dragons isn't gonna help you rule this place. It's probably gonna burn it down before you do." The victim that was having her energy drained spoke abruptly.

The little blue menace rolled his eyes. "Oh, my dear, I think you forget who you're speaking with."

He came over and shook her shackles, tightening the grip on her wrists and ankles.

"You mustn't forget- you're the one taking over. I'm simply supervising."

The teensy smirked evilly over at the chained girl. She growled and struggled in her shackles once more.

"You selfish, little idiot! Once I get out of here, I'm-"

"Yeah, yeah, once I blame you for everything, you mean, you'll be free. But then, you'll be imprisoned or killed. Depends on how much everyone will hate you."

He cackled, and grabbed her chin. "Trust me; this is for your own good."

He released her and left her alone. She kneeled down to the ground, her eyes forming small tears. Sorrow, but at the same time, anger burned deep in her heart. She barred her teeth; her fangs, and snarled lowly. Something was definitely burning inside her; and it was ready to come out.
