Pen cracks the bones in his neck in his new purple angel tunic with blue gloves which has black arrows on them and sandals. His purple wings flutters in pleasure of being the new king. He puts on his laurel crown as he takes his first action.
"I am going to the Labyrinth of deceit..."
Thanatos gasps "W-why?"
"We need to achieve the first plan of rebuilding the army. Locate the entrance and open the door."
"Y-yes Milord!"
"Please, calling me that is not necessary, just call me by my name."
"Yes, Pen!"
A reaper walks towards him. Thanotos speaks up "We have located the entrance, Pen."
"Good..." He runs to the door and jump out saying, "Time to start!"
His wings glow an evil black and he soars through the crack in the sky...no really, the entrance is a crack in the sky...He flies in, seeing nothing besides green., but then he sees centurions. They look at him in alert and shoot their arrows.
"Was not really expecting resistance." Pen says to Thanatos (Telepathically).
"The forces of light must be guarding this place to try to figure out how to destroy it..."
"If that's so, then what I am looking for must not be here..."
"Er...What are you looking for?"
"Worry about that later. I'll give you control of my flight path. Lead me to where a Boss fight would usually occur.
The glow of his wings changes color into a dark green. He swings his rapier and a bluish white copy of the blade shoots towards his first victim, killing him and making him disappear in a ball of light. He flies through the maze, not bothered by the fake paths since Thanotos knows the way.
"What type of weapon is that anyway?"
"It's a demonic weapon. Created by Dyntos when he was in his corrupted state. It's called the Last Rapier for being the last Demonic weapon ever made..."
He shoots down several more Centurions.
"Aaah...I remember when I was in my Corrupted state. Every god goes through it y'know. It happens at least once in their lives. They have a sudden lust for power and will do anything to get it. It's only cured when they are reminded who they are."
"Well I was once apart of Dyntos's army. I was able to get in since I was the son of the student he had. But, my father betrayed him. He couldn't handle the new him. Me? I thought he was at his best during the time...Which is the reason I disagreed with him. I was about to trick Dyntos into getting what I desire, but my father ruined it. So I did one thing to get him back...I eliminated him."
He flies upwards between the spinning platforms.
(Flashback)
Pen sees his father walking with his other son. He soars and drives a Javelin through his heart. He disappears in a faint light like any other thing killed by a demonic weapon. Pen uses his warp ability to disappear afterwards. The boy who was with him turns around, only to see nothing.
"Wow...What happened to the boy?"
"I'm looking for him. He might be a good addition to the army if I unlock the gate to his true race."
He now arrives at the room with crystals that reflects one fire.
"Be careful. The walls here reflect fire."
Pen takes his info in consideration as he slice down some Centurion strong arms.
"Send some Ornes. I wouldn't be surprised if the forces of light sent their captain of their goddess's guard."
"Yes, sir!" Thanotos replies happily.
He now flies through a space like area. He bounces off jump pads, heading towards a meteor. When it looked like he was about to crash, he finds himself in a grid like area.
"This is getting bizarre..."
"We are almost at the landing spot...unless you want to fly through the land battle part?"
"Nah, my legs can use a good walking."
"Okay I guess."
Pen lands at the spot with a slide. He relaxes for a bit, but then everything turned upside down. Pen falls on his back with a "OOF"
"Thanks for the warning..." He said sarcastically.
"Sorry..."
"You there!" A Centurion knight says with his little group. "Stop or feel the wra-!"
He was interrupted by Orns tackling him and his squad, finishing them on contact.
"Well that worked out pretty well." Pen said with a smirk.
(A land battle later)
Pen walks in the room with the circular platform along with the Orns. He walks towards the center and pick of a shard of what remains of the Mirror of truth.
"I'm surprised they did not sweep this up yet..."
"Stop right there!"
Pen lazily turn around , scratching his dark blond hair and staring at the source of the other voice with his icy blue eyes, to see an angel in white and raise an eyebrow.
"And you are...?"
"I'm Pit, captain of lady Palutana's guard!" He stats rather proudly.
"Um...yeah...Orns, destroy him."
The angel lets out a quick 'Yikes!' and start running from the Ornes trying to obey Pen's command.
"Alright, get me out of here."
A black shade appears over him. It was about to lift Pen up, but then Pit came rushing towards him using his super speed power.
"You're not getting away!" He called.
Pen shoots a mega laser at him, blasting him into the Ornes. Pit thought fast by zipping out of the way. When the super speed deactivates, he shoots a blast from his Lancer Staff. Pen was forced to let himself drop to avoid it, canceling the extraction process. Annoyed, Pen growls and points his Last Rapier at the champion of light.
(BOSS BATTLE!)
The two stand face to face, not moving or saying anything.
"Pit, we know nothing about this new enemy. Be careful. Just like you, he is an angel and will most likely fight like one besides the fact he has a Demonic weapon. Try fighting him like you would fight Dark Pit or a fighter from the sports of the gods. That's about as the best advice I could give you right now..." Palutana warns.
"Demonic weapon!? What's that?"
"It's a weapon created by Dyntos when he was in his corrupted state..."
"You mean like Viridi is now...?"
"I'm afraid so..."
"Well...at least I won't have to explain anything huh?" Pen says.
He makes the first move by swiping his Rapier, sending a blade shaped shot at the angel of light. A bit surprised, Pit blocks it and shoots a shot of his own. Pen steps to the side and shoot one more blast before activating his Demonic missile power. His wings glow black and he charges at Pit in air while spinning. Pit manages to move out of the way, but gets knocked back by the explosion after Pen lands. After quickly getting back up, Pen swipes his rapier at his foe who responded by ducking and swing at his legs. The attack connects and it trips Pen. Pit points his staff towards Pen, who is on the ground.
"Last chance to surrender." He said.
Pen responds by smirking and using his warp power. He reappears behind Pit and shoots one more mega laser at him. Pit quickly turns around and activate one of his own. The purple and red laser clash with the power of Titans. A bright violet light covers the battle area until the mega lasers subsided. After regaining his vision, Pit sees Pen charging at him with the speed of an Pegasus. He jumps up and shoot at him. The shot hits Pen on the shoulder, but he ignores when jumping after Pit. He thrust his rapier at the chest of the angel. If not for his super cut resistance skin, Pit would have token the blade through the heart. He thankfully only got poked...hard. The impact of the blow knocked him so far away, he was almost at the cliff of the large platform.
Pen smirks as he is now airborne.
Pit growls, "How did you even get your hands on a Demonic weapon anyway!?"
"He rather not explain it again."
"You know me well."
"Wait...I know that voice. Thanatos?"
"The one and only! Hoohoohoo!"
"Not this guy again!" Pit groaned.
"Even for the god of the dead, you come back quickly."
"Q-quickly!? It's been nearly five years since the last time I died!"
"Really? Doesn't feel like it..."
"Not to me either since I spent three of those years as a ring..."
"Rather it felt like it or not, he is back with a new king of the underworld!" Pen dashes towards Pit, hoping to unleash an attack that would slice even the strongest of human's head of.
Pit leans his body back while yelling 'whoa!' like the main character did to avoid bullets in a movie called matrix.
"Palutana, I need the power of flight!" Since the forces of light conquered this maze, the goddess got Pit here by deploying him from the light that extracts him at the end of battle. Therefore, he have never used his power of flight yet.
"Alright, Pit. Get ready!"
Pit wings glows blue and fly up to where Pen is at saying, "Yeah!" When he stops, he poses the same way super Mario does whenever he jumps, then charge at the enemy angel. Pen charges back. The two clash their blades together flying back from the impact of the blow and back towards each other two attack again. This last for about fifteen more seconds until Pen flies up into the emptiness of the maze's ceiling. Pit chases after him.
"Ornes, surround him!"
Pit stop his pursuit when the four Ornes blocks his path.
"Thanatos. Get me out here."
A shade of darkness appears once again and disappear, taking Pen along with it. An echo of his voice is all that was left.
"We'll meet again..." It said.
After the Ornes race off to retreat as well, Pit hovers back to the ground. "Who was that...?"
"I don't know... For now, let's get you back."
The familiar light shines upon Pit and lifts him up, taking him back to sky world.
A/N: Hey guys! :D X-ray99, author of this story here. Just wondering if I spelled Orn right. Y'know, the floating, flaming skull of death that is so freaking scary, it has it's own theme song? Is it Orn, or Orne? If so, then how do you spell it in plural form? The help is very much appreciated if given. :)
