"What!?" The light goddess yells in question. "How did this happen?"
"It was an angel dressed in purple" A surviving centurion says.
"Sigh* Not him again...It's going to take a while to reviving everyone who died..." "Including my new messengers..." She thinks to herself. "What is he up to...?"
"Well, he restored the Mirror of Truth."
"...Oh no."
"And he just destroyed the guardian at the rewind spring."
Palutena really wanted to curse right about now. Know one besides her knew how hard and long it took to make that thing. Making rewind water proof armor is not something she want to wast her time doing again...or ever. "This angel is going to pay..." She angrily thinks to herself. The problem was trying to figure out how. She could fight fire with fire, or in this case, angel with angel, but she promise herself to let Pit enjoy himself for a bit. She could go and eliminate him herself, but a kingdom in the sky without a Goddess with cause Chaos. She thinks about the possibility of Hemera, but...Hemera is...well Hemera. She may be could at keeping peace, but because of that, she does not experience much war.
Palutena sighs, thinking that things cannot get any worse.
She learns the hard way not to jinx herself by saying such things when the doors slams opens, revealing her angel with tears in his eyes. Before she even had the chance to comprehend what is happening, she feels herself being tightly hugged by her captain.
"...Err...Pit?"
"Please! Let me become even better than that other angel! I don't want you to replace me with...him! I don't want to stop serving you, Lady Palutena! Please, I'll do anything! I'll do a comb over on my wings on the little bald spot, I'll get you an invitation to the next smash bros tourney, I-I'll even call super bash sisters! Plus, I-"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, calm down, Pit! What are you talking about!?"
"The other angel! He is young, talented, and pretty smart! I watched him learn the Brave Bird attack just from watching Pittoo do it! I'm not jealous...I'm worried that he might...might..." He failed to complete the sentence because of Sobs chocking his throat.
"Calm down Pit." She says soothingly, patting his back. "Just take deep breaths."
Pit does just that and his goddess nodded at him, cormfirming he can now continue, he did so.
"I sigh* just thought you was going to throw me away for exchange of a better angel. I said it myself...I am like a Orbitar floating around to protect you, but...Leo is like a more...skilled Orbitar that you might replace me with..."
Palutena glares. "...How dare you... You really think I looked at you nothing more than a weapon? Pit, you are my captain and like a son to me! Just like Leonadis, you are skilled, young, and ...well, battle smart anyway! Plus, you are a game historian! I would never throw you away for the sake of something better! Just as I accepted you when no other angel would, you saved my life! I may mess with you at times, but not betray you. If you ever had been possessed, I would be as desperate as you when I was in control of the chaos Kin."
A long moment of serious silents fills the air. "You're...You're right!" A grin once again spreads on the angels face, revealing his usual happy self. "I'm so sorry. It's just that seeing another angel that could be a competition made think the way I usually would not."
Palutena smiles at him. "It's not just that is it? You're still shaken up by the way I acted under the Chaos kin aren't you?"
The smile disappear into a sad frown. "I thought I was going to lose you forever. If I did not kill myself, I would probably be still trying to break you out of his control to this day..."
"I've been told the nasty words I said during the time, and I know they will probably forever haunt you just a bit if not a lot. Even if it was not my fault, I ask for your forgiveness."
Pit becomes greatly flabbergasted and quickly replied. "Nononononono! You don't have to apologize! Even if you did not, I would still treat you as my Goddess! If anything, do you need me to do what I listed? ...You know...for bringing this topic up?"
A smirk appears on her face, making Pit regret asking the last question a little. "Weeeeell, I could go for that invitation you mentioned."
An hour later, Palutena finds her friend, playing mario kart 7 with Leo.
"Excuse me." She interrupts politely. "I just need to speak with her for a bit. This is very important."
""Err...okay." He responds.
Hemera follows Palutena into a more private room.
"What is it, Palutena?"
"Well... I've been having some problems lately. There is another angel from the underworld-"
"And he is giving you problems isn't he?"
"...Yes. I need to destroy him before he completes what ever he is trying to do... Can you watch over sky world for me while I go?"
"But what about your angel? Can he not handle the task."
"The thing is, he have worked very hard and I just got finished relieving a big problem he have had recently. I don't know if I should stress him out."
"But he promised to serve you and your cause." Hemera explains. She then speaks her next sentence in a cheery tone. "I'm sure he would be happy to do so, but if you think that is what's best for him, then I'll accept you favor."
The Goddess of Light nods. "I'm glad you understand. Thank you."
"No problem. So, just don't tell Pit about this?"
Pit was looking for the other angel and not his dark counter part. He sees Leo glaring at the 3DS screen he is playing.
"Oh, come on! First a blue shell, then a red one, then a green one!? I did not even get the chance to move yet!" He complains.
"Yeah, I hate it when that happens as well." Pit laughs.
Leo turns toward him, a little surprised to see him. "Huh? You need something, captain Pit?"
"Wait ,huh? You don't have to call me captain. No one does...although the centurions do it anyway..."
"Well, the last time I called you something more friendly, you uh...sort of threatened me."
With a sheepish smile, Pit scratches the back of his head. "Yeah...sorry about that. I was in a bit of a bad mood, but now, I'm totally fine!"
"Heh, I see. It's okay, everyone does mean stuff when in a mean mood. Hey, Lady Hemera is gone right now, wanna play Mario Kart 7 with me?"
"Sure!"
15 minutes afterwards, both Goddesses walks from the area they were talking in.
"Seems you worked things out with Leo. Palutena smiles.
"Yep! You guys want to play Mario Kart 7 with us?"
"Not now, Pit, I have to take care of something."
"And while she is doing that, I have to take the throne of skyworld for a bit." The goddess of Daytime explains. "Is that okay with you, Pit?"
"So long as lady Palutena okay I guess." Pit says nervously. "Where are you going, lady Palutena?"
"Just doing some goddess business. I'll be back soon."
"Okay." Leo says with a shrug, secretly turning the volume of Pit's 3DS down and unpausing the game.
"...Okay, I guess..." When he realize what Leo has just done, "Hey!"
"Heheheh." He laughs as he score himself a first place win.
Palutena sneaks out of sky world and in the surface world along with a hand full of her best troops. If one would ask her how she managed to sneak an entire mini army out of sky world, she would say nothing more than 'goddess power'. She holds out the underworld key and the dark abyss shines as bright as the sun. Her and her troops have now entered the underworld. Griping her staff and getting used to her armor once again, her she and her group flies towards the underworld base. She is worried for the sake of sky world...and that is for a good reason.
The reason is because it is the Goddess of Nature's target.
"Okay troops, full throttle ahead!" She commands. The soldiers made from natural recourses rushes towards the kingdom in the heavens. Hundreds of units take flight towards their conquest. Viridi is located in a ship made from pure nature. She giggles as she stands next to her new troop that will make a great use for the conquering of sky world.
A/N: UUUUUUGGH! Guys, I'm so happy to be done with this chapter. I'm not a fan of hurt/comfort or friendship... So if this chapter is a little...meh, then forgive me for that. Guys, I literally saw the fact that this chapter haves 1501 words besides this Author's Notes section, spell checked it for a bit, then call it done. (I usually aim for 1500 words before I call a chapter complete.) If this seemed rushed, I'm sorry for that. I just wanted to get the basic problems out of the way before starting the next chapter. The next chapter is going to be a long one since I want to hurry up and get backed to Page's side of the story. What movies are to regular TV episodes, are what the next chapter going to be to previous ones. So think of it like a...movie chapter?
