Okay guys, I just have an epilogue left. And I'm having issues with it, so it might actually take a little bit of time! Just so you know!

Remember Me for Centuries is about half done. And I haven't started Exiles yet, but I know exactly where I am going with that chapter so it shouldn't take too long to write.

I have meant to say this on two of the last author's notes, but OMFG do any of you watch Grey's Anatomy? Because we all know that I adore the angst, but that was too much even for me. I think I'm actually dead.

Follow up, had anyone done more PLL investigating? Because I am absolutely determined to figure out who A is before they tell us. And I am almost positive that Charles is another Red Herring. He is obviously involved, but I bet you $9 that he's not A.

Okay let me know what you think!

Chapter 19

SPOV

It hurt, but it was in the best way possible. The sun felt like it was searing straight into her brain and the colors were so vibrant that it was causing a bit of a sensory overload. But she loved it.

For most of her life she felt like half a person. She felt so inferior because she couldn't do something that most of the world took for granted. When you were a seeing person you didn't think about making things easier for those who could not see. The world was set up for those who weren't disabled, and for the first time in years she was finally one of them.

"Do you need help?"

He was an idiot. But he was her idiot, and that felt like the most important thing. "Nope," she muttered, clenching her fists around the arms of the wheel chair and pulling herself up. Her head still felt kind of heavy, like the calm after the worst migraine. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't necessarily good either. She was unsteady, but with Toby ghosting behind her she knew she was okay. He would catch her if she fell.

As soon as her hand touched the door to Toby's truck a series of flashbacks hit her like a punch to the gut.

"Want to come to the store with me, Spence?"

She peered down between the leaves at her dad. Couldn't he see that she was conquering imaginary worlds right now? "Sorry Daddy! I'm busy saving Morrenia."

He chuckled. "Well if Morrenia can wait for a second I'll buy you some ice cream too."

He had her at ice cream. She dropped the stick that was acting as her laser shooting and jumped down from the tree. She would have landed on her feet, but her dad's arms shot out and caught her anyway. "Daddy," she whined. But she secretly loved it. She loved that he would catch her.

"Come on!" He laughed, putting her on the ground. "I bet they have Mint Chocolate Chip today!"

She ran off ahead of him. There was no way she was missing a chance at her favorite ice cream. "Hurry before they sell out again!"

He laughed again, indulging her as always. He shrugged out of his jacket and tossed it next to her in the backseat. She crinkled her nose. "Why do you always do that, Daddy?"

He just shrugged. "I'm not sure. I guess I just don't like driving with sleeves."

She giggled. "You're weird!"

He crinkled his nose at her in the mirror as he pulled out of the driveway. "The weirdest!"

The drive was peaceful. The two of them shared stories from their day, Spencer's were filled with games and coloring at Kindergarten and her dad's were full of funny stories about difficult people that he met at work. "And then my red crayon broke," she explained seriously. "I had to color the wagon green, and that's just a stupid color for a wagon. Billy laughed at me, and I-"

But her words trailed off as the semi in the other lane started to swerve, the trailer swung into their lane like a baseball bat. It caught the front of their car, causing it to flip. It flipped again and again, her head slammed into the top of the car that was way too low. Why was it so low? She kept spinning, and maybe she was sick. Her head was fuzzy and she couldn't see anything. She hit her head again and her side of the car crushed in around her, pinning the left side of her body painfully down.

And then everything went black.

And it stayed black. She never saw anything again, until now. It was overwhelming.

"Are you okay?"

She hadn't even registered his hands on her waist, steadying her shaky body. "Not really," she said softly.

"Your dad, right?" He asked her so quietly that she barely heard him.

She just nodded. It was stupid, but she missed him. And it felt so wrong that she had officially gotten back everything that she had lost that day; everything but him. But there was no way to bring him back. He lost everything. It felt so wrong.

"I never met him," Toby whispered. "I never met him, but I know that he would be so proud of you. You're so brave and strong and fearless. He would be as proud of you as I am."

She was going to cry, but she didn't need anyone else to see. Toby was too close to allude her tears so she just leaned into him and hid her face in the comforting scent of his shirt. Everything was always easier when he was there.

That was all that he needed to take the reigns. He gently helped her into the car, tenderly buckling her seat belt for her. He walked around and got in the driver's side. "I want to take you somewhere before we meet your mom, okay?"

She just nodded, adjusting the sunglasses over her nose. She needed them to protect her sensitive eyes from the harsh daylight, but she was pretty sure that she would be wearing them regardless. They were like a security blanket of sorts. She didn't even look out the window as they drove through the town. She wouldn't recognize anything, and she was also pretty sure that the scenery rushing by would make her sick.

She only looked up when he pulled into a parking lot and shifted the car into park. She glanced over at him, and the worry on his face caused endless guilt. He didn't need to think so much about her. She had already put him through enough with this whole ordeal. "Toby-"

He didn't let her get out another word before sliding his hand out and grabbing hers. "I thought you might like to finally see it," he explained softly.

"See it?" She questioned, not quite understanding what he was getting at.

He smiled at her and brushed a soft hand over her cheek. "See if you can figure it out." He got out of the car and came to her side, helping her out.

She didn't know what was going on, but what she did know was that there was no end to the love and appreciation that she felt for this man. She stepped into his arms and let him hold her for a long second. She just relished in the fact that she could now both feel him breathing and see the proof in the gentle rise and fall of his chest. As long as that kept going she could handle anything that life threw her way. She was absolutely sure of it.

He shifted her slightly and kept his arms around her as they walked forward, a sudden expansive view coming into sight. A small town was nestled into the hills and forest that surrounded it. He led her to a large rock, and the second she sat down she knew exactly where they were. A tear trailed down her cheek as she turned and kissed him.

The kisses that they shared since she woke up at been soft, gentle, and not at all like this. She put a hand on the back of his head and leaned her whole body into it. He got one hand lost in her hair and the other ran up and down her back. It was all passion and messy and perfect. When they pulled away for air she rested her head against his collarbone losing herself in the steady beating of his heart. "I love you," she breathed.

He curled his arm around her and played with the ends of her hair with his other hand. "Are you happy?"

"I don't think that I've actually ever been happier," she said quietly.

"Then that's all that matters," he said. "All I want is for you to be happy."

This was quickly turning into a conversation for a Lifetime movie. She didn't have to tell him how much she loved him, how he was the only person in her life that she couldn't bear to lose. He already knew. So she tilted her head to look out on the town she had lived most of her life in but had never seen before. "It's so beautiful."

"It's okay," he murmured.

She twisted to look at him and smiled when she saw his eyes on her. She leaned up and connected their lips again. She could never get enough of this. Even if she spent the rest of her life kissing and loving him it still wouldn't be enough.

She opened her eyes, and at first she was confused. She didn't recognize where she was, but as soon as she saw Toby she knew it was okay. She was in their bedroom, she recognized the feel of the sheets as soon as she focused on her other senses. This was going to be hard. Having her vision back was going to be so hard, but it would be worth it to be whole.

She rolled over and just looked at Toby, taking in the planes of his face. In a way she was grateful that she was blind when she met him. Because she was absolutely certain that she loved him for who he was. It had absolutely nothing to do with what he looked like. But God, was he gorgeous. His features were even and his eyes... his eyes were the most beautiful shade of blue that she had ever seen.

"Are you staring?"

She laughed. "Maybe."

He chuckled and rolled to his side. "Damn it, now you can catch me when I do that."

She rolled her eyes and leaned in to kiss him. "I always knew when you were staring at me, Toby."

He laughed and pushed her back onto the mattress, hovering over her. "I don't think that there's ever going to be a time when I don't feel so lucky that you love me."

She laughed and put a hand on the back of his head, pulling him back down. He curled into her, brushing his lips over a tender spot in her neck. "I love you so much."

She felt him grin into her neck. "So where do you want to start?"

"What are you talking about?" She asked him.

He pulled away, still smiling. "You have to have questions. Should we go to the mall or something?"

"You really want to help me?" She was prepared to sit at the laptop that looked obnoxiously thing and Google things all day. She hadn't expected him to be interested in this.

"Spencer," he whispered, looking at her with unfathomably intensity in his eyes. "I'll be here to help you as long as you want me."

"Mmm," she mused. "How about forever?"
