They realized eventually that things happen for a reason and that they need each other more than they realized.

"And I can't stand the fact that he's hot too!" Both brothers froze at that. Did Leo just- no… he didn't. Leo didn't call anyone hot. Maybe beautiful, or amazing- but hot? Oh no, who was this turtle and what had he done with his eloquent brother? Donnie barely held back his laughter. To think- that Casey did this to him. Unbelievable.

Leo dutifully ignored Casey. They were driving alone in the middle of a freezing night down some god-forsaken backroad, and Casey was probably out of his mind right now. The cold must have frozen his brain cells and this is what he was left with. But geez- he can't just randomly blurt out something like that. Not to Leo- not to anyone. What was he thinking?
