Chapter 10: The Priestess of the Sun
-Location: Lumen Solis-
-Time: Evening-
The sky was a beautiful shade of bright orange signifying that the day was coming close to an end but it wasn't close and gave all the people of Lumen Solis something beautiful to look at when they traveled outside to stores for groceries, on their way home, or wanted to simply go for a walk, or even go to a restaurant with the person they loved or with their family to spend some time together.
"-YAWN-"
The yawns of the young Ender-Creeper filled the Endergirl as the two walked around the village together. They decided to explore Lumen Solis, just to get used to the village since they would begin to make this place their home, unlike the shack that Skreel made. Although even though it was small they didn't complain since it kept them cozy.
"If you were bored then you could have stayed at the Hotel." Andr suggested as she took Skreels yawn as his way of saying he's bored.
"Wh-what? No...it's not that I'm just tired that's all." Skeel replied as he rubbed both of his eyes with is left hand.
"Then why didn't you just stay at the Hotel. You could have let me explore by myself." Andr said, turning her head slightly to see him.
"Because...I don't know what will happen if I left you out alone. Anything could happen and plus, none of these villagers know that were Ender. Besides...taking a guess how the two acted I'm guessing Enders are not very popular with certain people." Skreel said.
"Yeah, you are right about that. Well...it is nice that you're here with me if I might add." Andr said while hiding her mouth with her turtleneck to hide her slight blush.
Skreel didn't take notice to this as he was busy looking around as he took in his surroundings. He was even unaware of her when she glanced at him.
"Oddly enough, when I'm with him I get this...warm feeling inside me. I can't help but find it weird a little since it makes my heart tingle and act funny. I don't hate it at all but...it just feels weird. I don't even know why I'm acting this way at all." Andr said as she was thinking to herself although her thoughts were interrupted when both Enders heard a loud noise, a bell to be precise which rang throughout the town.
"Is...is that a bell?" Skreel asked.
"Yeah, why is it ringing? Do they have curfew hours?" Andr asked as well.
Before Skreel could ask what Curfew means both Enders heard chatter and numerous of doors being closed. They both turned and watched as the entire village started heading towards the same direction while chatting with one another and smiling happily. Both of them stepped aside from the gravel pathway so they didn't get in the way and they also couldn't understand what they were saying while muttering. Overall just watching them all walking together just shocked the two Enders and they watched as the Villagers also began to turn a corner and every single one of them continued on with their voices getting fainter and fainter with each passing minute and then finally...silence.
"What do you think is going on?" Andr asked as she looked over to Skreel, and he shrugged.
"No clue. Suppose we should see." Skreel replied calmly.
Watching her nod from the corner of his eye, he rotated his shoulders before stepping across the gravel pathway after the disappearing crowd. Silently stepping up and around the streets, they stopped in front of a brilliant marble structure. The large ash wooden doors were closed, and the whole town was almost dead silent.
"Should we go in?" Andr asked, curiosity in her voice when she asked him that.
"Not sure..." Looking sideways to meet his companion's eyes, he furrowed his brow. Catching sight of a rose window, he slid over to it, and peeked through.
Pews spanned across an arching room as people sat and clasped their hands together. Scanning the room, he caught sight of neither Tamashi, nor Czysty. Frowning, he felt Andr duck in close to him - probably trying to see into the circular window as well.
"What are they doing?" Skreel asked since he didn't understand this gesture that the villagers were doing
"It looks like they are praying." Andr said as she looked around in awe.
Skreel peeked over to Andr. "Praying?"
"It's when someone shows devotion to a God, or Idol." Andr explained
"... hm... so who are they praying for? And who leads them... they can't just wander in there and sit around. Can they?" Skreel asked with her eyes furrowed a little finding it to be weird.
"They could- but usually there is a Reverend, or Abbot- maybe a Priest. Along those lines... I can't find one th- wait." Skreel could hear Andr breath in sharply. Concern tugging at his heart, he maneuvered around so that he could see her more clearly.
"What is it?" Skreel asked
"... look..." She said while pointing through the window, and he followed her direction.
In the center of the room, under a faintly glowing beam of dying light- a young woman was standing before the inhabitants of Lumen Solis.
Her brown hair had blonde and silver streaks speckled throughout it, and she shifted once- the silver bracelets he could see around her wrists clinked- he could imagine the corset and see the elegance of a familiar figure. Hair pulled back into a loose ponytail, the figures white frock ended at her knees, the midnight blue leggings she wore were tight, though he could barely make it out due to the golden sash around her waist. Her piercings were gone, though earrings in the shape of a moon took their place. Anklets with what he could only guess were crosses attached to it moved as she glided around the lowered heads. The gilded golden embroilment in her clothes shimmered as Skreel studied her. The two silvery wolf ears threw him for a loop however.
"Czysty!?" Skreel said in Shock, and awe.
"Yeah, that's her." Andr said as she continued looking
"But where is Tamashi?" Skreel muttered as he continued looking around for the black haired wolf but then examined Czysty some more.
Czysty's hair was tamed unlike the ruffled locks she let flow in their fight against the Raiders. The tails she used with deadly efficiency were also groomed to a moon glowing mass. The silver highlighting her eyes made her seem more beautiful, and Skreel could understand why Tamashi would seem awkward around her. The gilded shoes he assumed were hers were rested by the center of the floor were she moved from, and the sleeveless robe fluttered about her waist as the sides were styled to split at the sides., much like some thigh revealing foreign dress. She was speaking, and he suddenly wished he could hear what she was saying.
"She's a priestess." Andr whispered quietly, grasping his hand as she dipped closer to see more clearly. Skreel's thoughts automatically shot to her.
"Wait, come again?" Skreel said, a little dumbfounded at what Andr had said.
"She's the priestess." Andr repeated which made Skreel look at her and this made her sigh as she began to go into depth. "Look just think about it. The way she's dressed and looks, the way how the people are praying, and the way how she's acting...it's proof that she's the priestess of this village."
"Ok I understand but Czysty...I just find it hard to believe. The girl has some temper problems and when she tried fighting me she hits like...well...I can't think of something similar but she hits hard. Knowing that she's a priestess is...surprising" Skreel said as he held his head.
"Yeah...but...if you think about it, the children seemed rather fond of her and enjoyed her company, Plus when she was walking into the village everyone seemed happy to see her." Andr said as she couldn't take her eyes off of the Wolf Priestess.
"Hmm...you are right about that." Skreel said as looked back at Czysty.
"So...you lovebergs gonna go in or what?"A familiar voice called out.
Both Enders immediately turned to see someone approaching them which caught them off guard and they saw that it was Tamashi but looking a lot different than before from when they saw him last time.
His wild and unkempt hair was actually groomed to look neater than before but it still had that wild style to it and the same can be said for his four tails which calmly swayed on the ground in an idle motion, his red streaks were also shining as the sun touched down on his head showing how it seemed to be clean and not covered in a speck of dirt, around the corner of his eyes he seemed to be wearing black eyeliner around the heterochromia eyes, and his outfit also seemed to receive a change. Instead of wearing the close that they were accustomed to, first off was his top which seemed to resemble that of a long-sleeved shirt but it was more of a vest in a way which clung around his torso but the sleeves were loosely fit around his arms and went down to wear it partially covered his wrists, the vest also appeared to have buttons showing as how it was buttoned up, along the shoulders of his outfit was black large, black fur-like tufts which rested calmly and gave a nice design to the vest and on on top of that was a semi-long white cape with golden tints along the edges of it and it seemed to be kept together with a golden button which was placed around his collar bone, for bottoms, he seemed to wear white leather-looking leggings which wasn't leather but made out of the same material as the vest he wore with black tints around the outer edges on the leggings and also around the pants holes which went down to his ankles and covered his feet which were bare. Oddly enough they took notice to how clean or rather, spotless his feet were and they looked rather soft. All and all Tamashi looked like a new person.
"So...how long are you to gonna be holding hands?" Tamashi asked as he seemed to hold in a chuckle.
Both Skreel and Andr took notice to this and pulled their hands away while a slight blush appeared over their faces. Tamashi simply chuckled seeing them act like this and walked over to the window and peaked inside.
"I see you noticed that Czysty is the Wolf Priestess." He said with a smile as he watched her continue speaking while the people prayed and listened to her words. "Heh...it actually is nice seeing her peaceful."
"So...basically the villagers...look up to her." Andr said. "In a way Andr. The villagers don't just look up to her but...they care for her as if she was there own child." Tamashi said as he turned slightly to them. He noticed the confused looks on their faces and smiled since he would have to explain but he didn't seem to mind "You see...from what I heard...Lumen Solis is a village that worships the sun, but not only the star above us but also the one who brings the villagers together with Love, Tranquility, and Harmony. To be precise...to the villagers...Czysty is there sun. Even if this star were to burn out and shroud us in darkness...she will be their ray of light and oddly enough...they are her ray of light as well. That's why in the caves, she didn't allow any of those raiders any mercy when they were going to hurt these people. They are her family after all."
"I see...so that's why the children seem to enjoy her presence a lot." Skreel insisted as he came to a conclusion.
"Mhm...to them...Czysty is like a sister, maybe even a mother given the fact that she is really caring." Tamashi chuckled.
"So...was this passed down to her by her family?" Andr asked.
Tamashi was silent when Andr said that and his calm natural smile turned into a frown. His ears lowered slightly before rising again and he turned to Andr and Skreel while his body leaned near the window.
"It's...hard to explain really. Not even I know Czysty's full story and I can't tell if it was passed down to her or not but I would say yes. There are some boundaries that I won't cross when it comes to her. This is one of them so right now...the answer I gave you is merely a guess." Tamashi said, his voice having somewhat of sadness to it. Although he did smile as he looked up to the sky and sighed out.
"Overall...she always seems to make this village happy and that's what makes us radiate like the sun." Tamashi said as he looked at the window.
Skreel and Andr seemed to understand and also looked into the window as well to see Czysty smile at the villagers and they all started praying together with the Wolf Priestess leading them in the prayer.
-9-years ago-
Why wasn't mama with her? Papa said to stay in the attic, so she did. She burrowed under the chests and luggage and curled up into a ball. Czysty laid there for probably days upon days until her stomach hurt too much for her to move, and a rancid smell rose within her little fortress of wood and cloth. She would never disobey papa...
Suddenly, she stumbled from the pile, her tiny socked feet blurring as a rock caught her foot- scraping the worn leather of her shoe. She had to hurry... Master would punish her if she didn't bring food back before dinner time. She didn't like when he yelled. It scared Czysty, even though she had endured it for two years already. And in those two years, food gathering was not the only little "chore" she had to do it. The fact that she was not completely human was driven into her heart even though she really could not understand why at her age- eight year old children didn't know the way of the world yet...
Carrying loads of lumber that would break the back of a mere human, she felled nearby trees and plowed the fields in place of the mule after it had buckled under the strain and died.
Staggering through the light snow, the woven basket she crafted herself for transporting vittles hit the snow...
"Owe..."
A high pitched whine cut through the rising winds of the evening- she doubted Master nor the Mistress would have been able to pick up on it as she had, silvery wolf ears twitching as she scurried across the foliage as the the spring time season melted away the snow. In a thicket lay a baby pup, a size small enough to fill her crate of food; four years of experience made her muscles grow quickly.
"Oh, Goddess..." Scooping up the little thing, which filled her arms, Czysty resisted the urge to cry. She had to be emotionless and mature- the Mistress made sure to drive that lesson into her. Cooing softly into it's ear, she dug out a spot in the wooden crate to fit what could have been a male wolf. She didn't bother to check. She had to hurry...

Groaning under the strain of the leather and chain digging into her chest and torso, the harness digging into her crouch didn't help her mood. Sweat dripped off her nose as she faced her head down, marching forward down the yet to be plowed field. Nothing had changed; Czysty wasn't tired. After all, Noah was still a growing pup, and it was evident that he was no ordinary wolf. But...
Shooting a quick glance back, she spotted her Master's hungry gaze set on her figure. The Mistress had just left for a conference of some sort, leaving her for the first time in her six years alone with the Master. Chills ran down her spine, and not because of the warm winds lapping at her...
It was getting late.
Dragging the plow back into the barn house, she set the equipment down and turned to leave. Noah would be waiting at the edge of the fence. Czysty would have to pretend to be asleep and sneak out of the window to visit him at night. Her foot froze mid-step towards fresh air as her Master stood blocking the entrance way.
Oh no...
Crying out in pain, she hit the hay as the larger man forced himself on top of her.
Swinging out, her fist connected with his jaw, and the older human retaliated by blackening her cheek and punching her in the stomach.
Curling up, he felt his hands grasp for her tattered clothing...
The barn was a sudden haze of red as a frenzied howling was replaced by snarling and the ghastly screech of a wounded man. Clambering up onto Noah's back, she whispered an apology and thanks as they took off into the forests of the night...

Her year of peace with Noah alone on the roads of some random kingdom's back country ended abruptly as the sickness struck. She could only lay in the shelter of leave Noah made for her, and she curled up against him as her body fought off the pain...
Czysty's mouth was dry. It didn't matter how many times Noah took her to a stream on his back. Her eye sight would grow hazy at times. Her legs grew weaker with the passing months...
Noah stopped suddenly, a low throaty growl cutting short as the figure approaching in the mists surrounding them came into complete view. He was young, with mitch-matched green and red eyes. His robes and ornate armour was new to her - the only times she had seen metal armour was when she and Noah would hide and watch a patrol dispatch pass them by in their earlier escape. She had always known that her Master had survived Noah's vengeance...
"Again!" Leo shouted again, legs spread in a combat stance. The others with him were not Paladins like him, but Royal Guardsmen and a few straggler semihumans...
"Remember the Goddesses practices Czysty- she will protect you and strengthen your bonds!"
The young man waved once more before stepping off into the mists of the dream realm.
Six years training under a Priestess and a Paladin made her realize the grief she had endured as a child.
Never again...
Never...
Again...
…
-Present-
Czysty awoken with the feeling of someone gently shaking her, causing her to immediately wake up. Thinking she was being attacked she sent a powerful fist into the persons face earning a loud sound showing that her attack collided and heard a groan but what she heard next seemed to shock her.
"Ah...ow….argh...if I knew that waking you up would simply earn me a fist to the face then I would have left you be Czysty. Forgot how much you punch."
Czysty immediately turned to see Tamashi rubbing her jaw and heard a loud crack making him groan more. Guilt washing over her, Czysty sent a flurry of signs at him in a frantic panic to apologize but Tamashi waved her off.
"It's alright, don't get so worked up on it. Although my jaw will be sore." Tamashi said.
Czysty simply sighed and then signed to her companion.
[What time is it?]
"It's actually nighttime. After the praying and ceremony everyone departed including yourself. I reluctantly came here just to make sure everything is in place and saw you in here sleeping. Figured I'd wake you up and bring you to your room." Tamashi said.
Czysty looked at Tamashi for a moment and found what he said to be a little farce and figured he would do something else to her sleeping form but shrugged it off as she signed to him
[I thank you for waking me up but I'm alright. I can walk to my room on my own.]
Czysty got up, rather slowly since she woke up and today really exhausted her. The Raiders, playing with the children, the ceremony and meeting two Enders really took a toll on her body and right now she needed some rest. Tamashi offered his hand to lead the way but she brushed it off and walked ahead leaving him dumbfounded a little and he sighed while catching up to her so she doesn't fall over.
The two traveled through the halls of the shrine which was also home to Czysty and she gazed out at the moonlit village and smiled softly seeing how peaceful the village was. It wasn't that long of a walk and the two came up to a door. Czysty opened it and inside revealed it to be a magnificent looking room which wasn't too big or too small whatsoever but it was actually a moderate sized room with a nice large Queen sized bed, a dressed along with a wardrobe, a bathroom with a bathtub, sink, and everything else a bathroom would need, a large mirror in the room where the dresser was, and a nice chandelier which will turn on with a flick of a switch.
Czysty made her way over to her bed and yawned softly since the lack of sleep was getting to her and then she slightly lost her footing and was too slow to realise. The minute she did was however, Tamashi was holding onto her so that she didn't fall face first to the ground and held her up. Luckily they were close to the bed and he placed her down, tucking her inside and made sure she was comfortable.
"Better?" Tamashi asked her.
He waited for a reply and got known as he saw that Czysty actually seemed to knock out and he sighed with a smile on his face.
"Well...you actually deserve the rest since you have been doing a lot today. So...I really can't blame you for not thanking me." He said with a chuckle.
He couldn't help but stare at her slumbering form and motioned his face for her own but stopped just inches away from her forehead. He actually wanted to kiss her there but simply sighed and moved away and went for the door.
"Good night...Czysty. Sweet dreams." Tamashi said to her, before he left the room and headed for the exit since he was taking the night shift, like always.
-Elsewhere-
"Well...seems she actually collected an army. I'm surprised." A familiar hooded young man said as he looked inside the large cage with loud moans and groans coming from inside. Standing beside him was a familiar young Witch who smiled and clapped her hands together.
"Brilliant...just brilliant I expected zombies but I didn't expect this many. How many did you collect Luna?" Seraph asked as she turned to her friend who sat on a rock while her legs dangling.
"Oh...about...100...maybe 150...I didn't count." Luna said with a smile.
"Tell me...how did you manage to collect them without getting a scratch on you?" The young man asked as he turned to her.
"Oh simple actually...but why would I tell you my secrets. It's not like me to give them away you know." Luna said, her voice holding a teasing tone in it.
"I should never have asked." The young man said as he sighed in defeat.
"Oh cheer up...this will be fun anyway. you get to fight the Ender-Creeper, Seraph gets to complete Herobrine's tasks, and I get to fight a Priestess and her Guard. This all seems so much fun." Luna said as she laughed lightly while closing her eyes. Seraph seemed to join in as well and the young man remained silent and sighed releasing grey mist.
"Tonight...the village burns." Luna said with a grin as she finished laughing and her eyes glowed ominously.
