Disclaimer: I do not own Teen Wolf or The Hobbit

Stiles walked out of the movie quite distraught. "I can't believe that's how they ended it! It was so much sadder than the book." He sobbed dramatically. "Thorin...he...and Bilbo! Oh god little Bilbo!" He flailed his arms dramatically.

"Use your words." Scott laughed. He had not been as emotionally attached to the last installment of the Hobbit trilogy.

"I can't! Words can't!" Stiles cried.

"Didn't you say Thorin and Bilbo were gay for each other?" Scott asked smirking. This sent Stiles into a whole new wave of agonizing feels.

"Derek! Derek, if you died it would be that dramatic." Stiles said clinging dramatically to his long time boyfriend.

"You're the right size to be Bilbo." Scott laughed.

"Derek, if you were ever identified by any fictional character, it would be Thorin. You're grumpy and sexy and totally bad ass." Stiles cooed affectionately. Scott mad a gagging noise earning a murderous look from Derek that shut him up immediately.

"Well if he'd Thorin and you're Bilbo does that make me Frodo?" Scott asked clearly thinking very hard about the topic.

"You're Kili." Stiles said in a 'duh' voice.

"But Kili died!" Scott moaned.

"Thorin died too." Derek commented. They both looked at Stiles who was sobbing on the ground.

"By babies! My children! Off to kill dragons! Back in coffins!" He sobbed dramatically.

"You know they're not real?" Scott asked. Derek shot the other wolf another glare.

"They're real to me!" Stiles moaned. He could just see it, Derek fighting some wolf, twice his size. Having to watch, helpless as Derek falls to the ground. He could imagine pulling Derek's weak body to him. It wasn't something that seemed to obscure, so far off. So why weren't they real? The fear was real. The pain was real. Kili had died for love, just as Stiles could picture in vivid clarity Scott sacrificing himself for Allison. Just because they were dwarves and hobbits and elves fighting orcs, didn't mean the experiences weren't real. Stiles looked up at Scott and then Derek through his watery eyes. His werewolves, his very own mythical story, and he felt the fear clench his heart in icy fingers every time Derek went off to fight some big bad monster. But Derek always came back. Stiles knew, one day, Derek wouldn't come back. And he'd feel just as dull and heartbroken as Bilbo did. "They are real." He mumbled softly. Derek's dark expression softened and he gave a small nod before helping his boyfriend up.

"Kili." Derek addressed Scott. "If you're killed, kill 'em back." Derek growled.

"Walk it off." Scott laughed. "It'll probably grow back anyway." He said through his laughter. Stiles felt his heart lighten slightly. Derek looked down at him with a small smile and kissed him gently on the forehead.

"Let's go home my little hobbit." Derek said smiling.
