"Hey Maria."

She smiled and spoke with her Italian accent "Hello William, come to have some lunch?"

I rubbed the back of my neck "Uh, well, I was kinda hoping I could have some of the leftover breakfast please?"

She laughed "No worries. I heard from your father that you are leaving, how sad?"

I smiled softly "Yeah, but it had to happen at some time. His business isn't going too well."

Maria huffed as she got a plate stacked with my late breakfast "I know, I just hope he keeps me and my family out of trouble when he gets caught."

I nodded and smiled as she placed the plate on the bench "If you need support on staying out of trouble, just call me, I'll sweet talk someone."

She shook her head but still smiled as I dug into my breakfast "Tsk, tsk, William. Don't get yourself into trouble, ok?"

I nodded my mouth full. Maria cleaned her growing stack of dishes while I ate. When I was finished I got up and took the plate to where Maria was almost done.

On my way back to my room I grabbed the keys to my car – an awesome SUV named Richard. Carlos our butler stood waiting outside my door

"I assume you are ready to put your things into your car William?"

I nodded giving a surprised Carlos a hug "I'm gonna miss you, you know."

He nodded awkwardly as I released him. We took one box at a time, going down two flights of stairs to the garage and then going back up to collect more. On the last trip there was only one box left and Carlos took it, saying it was only his job.

And then I was done. I was ready to leave. Sure I had fantasised about leaving home before, but I expected to have a few more years together before I did that. But no worries right? You just have to keep going, wherever life takes you!

I didn't want to say goodbye, it would hurt too much. So instead I just opened the car door and slid into the cool leather seat.

"WILLIAM!"

I turned my head to see Maria running (well, speed walking) down the stairs with a basket.

"What's the matter Maria?"

She smiled at me "I just want to wish you luck and give you this."

The basket had an assortment of junk food and LOTS of chocolate in it. I smiled at Maria but refused to get teary

"Thank you Maria, and good luck to you too!"

Carlos came to stand next to Maria and they said together

"Goodbye William."

"Goodbye!"

~Time skip, I'm lazy!~

I pulled up outside of Lauren's house where she was sitting on one of her suitcases – which were situated on the steps – and scowling. I hopped out the car and opened the back door. Walking over, I grabbed a suitcase and hauled it over and into the already overloaded storage area.

We went back a forth grabbing boxes and bags about four times until I grabbed the last one and slammed the door shut.
Lauren was already sitting in the passenger seat – scowling – when I turned the ignition key and headed on route to school. The silence between us stayed for a full five minutes before my patience broke

"What's up Lauren?"

She scowled further

"We were supposed to get to school ON time."

I shrugged "Live a little, we're only going to school for today and then we'll be on our way to SHIELD Sci-Tech Academy." I looked across at her and smirked "Want me to take Percy" (Percy is what I named my car) "For a spin?"

Her jaw dropped and her eyebrows rose as she looked across at me, and then she grinned wickedly.

"Why not?"
