Chapter 17: The Dark Chip Arises From Zero & Eros!
*Back at the gym for the continuation of the Singles NetBattle tournament*
"The match has ended in a draw!" Ribitta announced. "I'm afraid both are out of the tournament." Netto and Meiru couldn't believe what happened and what Ribitta just said about the 3rd battle. The 4th battle was going to get underway. It was Ben VS Sherrice, Yardman VS Zero. Sherrice and Ben both walk to the NetField and plug in their PETS to the system. Zero had a black cyber sword and Yardman had a wood like cyber sword. Zero stares at Yardman.
"This is going to be easy." Zero said to himself. Sherrice smirked knowing that this geek named Ben didn't have a chance against her and Zero. Ben and Yardman weren't intimidated by Sherrice or her NetNavi. Yardman fires a leaf cutter at Zero and Zero slices it in half.
"Delete him." Sherrice said. Zero nods and charges at Yardman before he could even dodge Zero's move. Zero slashes Yardman in half and Zero slashes his head off making sure his is deleted. Yardman dosen't log out but explodes in computer particles and the crowd was speechless and Ben was shocked to death as Zero just got rid of Yardman forever.
"WHAT DID YOU JUST DO!?" Ben yelled out.
"I don't believe this! Yardman is deleted by Zero! This is not part of the rules therefore Sherrice and Zero have been disqualified from this battle!" Ribitta announce and the crowd boos at Sherrice and Zero.
"WHAT!?" Both Sherrice and Zero yelled at Ribitta.
"Hey, you broke the rules Sherrice." Ribitta said to her.
"THIS IS NOT FAIR!" Sherrice balled her fist up and growled and plugs Zero out and storms off from the gym as Ben was crying as his NetNavi was gone forever by Zero. The crowd was dead silent and so were the other contestants. Airisu then thinks about the situation.
"I think Sherrice planned this." She said.
"What makes you think that?" Netto asked.
"Sherrice didn't get Zero from Wily, but Eros instead. I think Sherrice is working with her in order to capture me." She answered.
"No way Airisu." Meiru said in shock.
"It's true. I know it is." Airisu said and looks down at her PET.
"We got to stop Sherrice then." Enzan said.
"Yea, before she causes trouble with your sister Eros." Misora said.
"I'm all for it." Subaru said.
"Our last battle is beginning...and we have Enzan and Protoman VS Airisu and Zera!" Ribitta announced and the crowd goes crazy. Enzan and Airisu wish each other luck and head to the battlefield and plug in their PETS to the NetField's system. Protoman and Zera also wish each other luck as both were going to battle with just 1 weapon: A Cyber Sword. Both stare at each other. They charge one another and trade blows with their swords and each Navi blocks the other Navi. Zera gets kicked by Protoman as she kicks him back. Both Navis were outmatched. Protoman and Zera stare at each other.
"Looks like we are evenly matched Enzan." Airisu said and Enzan nods in response. Protoman and Zera kept battling and no one was giving an edge. Zera kicks Protoman again and he grabs a hold of her arm and kicks Zera and slashes her shoulder. Zera falls down and slashes Protoman's leg. As the battle continues, Eros was with a tied up Sherrice in the school's basement.
"I'm sorry Sherrice, but it looks like you weren't cut out to be Zero's Operator." Eros said as she is holding the black PET that contained Zero. Eros shows her hand and she was holding a battle chip of some kind.
"Mmmmm?" Sherrice muffled asked as she is gagged.
"This here?" Eros said looking at the battle chip she holds. "Is a Dark Chip, created by my father for some interesting ideas."
"Mmmmm!?" Sherrice muffled asked and her eyes were shocked.
"Yes...it is deadly...and Zero will put it to good use on someone...or two for that matter." Eros said and bends down and looks at Sherrice in the eyes. Eros chuckles and says, "You're going to be locked up somewhere for your failure. You should have listen to your orders that were given to you. Instead? You threw it all away and decided to delete a Navi in the NetBattle Singles Tournament. Tsk Tsk Tsk. No that won't do any good for me or Zero. I knew I couldn't trust you." Eros said and closes a small room door that was hidden in the school's basement and Eros locks the door with steel chains and uses the Dark Chip on Zero and he was going to transfer the dark energy. "Transfer the dark energy on Protoman and Enzan." Eros told him.
"Yes Eros." Zero said and shuts off the power and people freak out.
"What's going on?" Asked Iris. All of a sudden the lights are back on and Enzan is gone...well everyone was gone. "Enzan? Where is everyone?" Airisu unplugs her PET and exits the gym to find everyone gone.
"Summon the Dimensional Area Zero." Eros said to Zero.
"Of course, my love." Zero said and the entire school was surrounded by a weird hexagon shield. Of course the people didn't know what this was until now. Zero exits Eros's PET as he can be led out when exposed to the Dimensional Area, well all Navis could.
"Find my sister Protoman." Eros said to Protoman, who walked behind Eros and he smirks.
"I will do it." He said and he had different armor and a dark aura around him. He walks to find Airisu. Airisu was running with Zera in her PET.
"I've got to find Enzan." She said to Zera.
"I know and we got to find Protoman as well." Zera said.
"Where are the others at?" Airisu asked.
"I don't know." Zera said. "I can't contact the others."
"We must be here alone then." Airisu said.
"No. You are not alone." Said a voice in the shadows and Airisu was in the hallways of the school and the light was flickering.
"Whose there?" Airisu asked as the figure walks closer. Airisu sees red.
"Is that you Enzan?"
"No...it is I, Protoman." Protoman said and shows himself.
"Protoman? What are you doing out of Enzan's PET?"
"The school is surrounded by the Dimensional Area which allows any Navi to come to the real world." Protoman answered.
"What happened to you?"
"I am now fused with the Dark Chip and now I am more powerful then ever before." Protoman said and summons his cyber sword and walks to Airisu as she holds her PET.
"Where is Enzan!?"
"He is not here right now...and he won't be coming to save you." Protoman walks closer and closer as Airisu backs away slowly.
"This is my sister's doing isn't?"
"Yes...and I am going to take you to her."
"No...you're not taking me away from this place I love dearly." Protoman chuckled at Airisu's response.
"I'm afraid that will not be an option." Protoman slashes at Airisu and she doges in time. Protoman growls. Airisu leaps out of the way of another strike from the evil Protoman and he turns to her and Airisu tries to get up but slips on the tile floor. "You can't do anything against me." Airisu presses a button and Zera pops out of her PET and tackles Protoman. Zera gets up and looks at Airisu.
"Zera...it's really you." Airisu said in shock to see her NetNavi in the flesh.
"Yes...It is me. Protoman...you're going to have to go through me first if you want Airisu." Zera said to her crush.
"Very well then Zera. I'll be happy to get rid of you first." Protoman said and gets back up and Zera blocks his cyber sword strike with her own cyber sword. Protoman's strength was increased upon getting effected by the Dark Chip's power from Zero. Protoman pushes Zera and charges at Airisu and she runs away and hides in the janitor's closet. Protoman knocks on the door.
"I know you're in there Airisu." Protoman stabs the door and cuts Airisu's left arm. She winces in pain and kicks the door open and Protoman stumbles a bit and Zero tackles him again.
"RUN AIRISU!" Zera yelled at her operator and gets smacked in the face by Protoman and walks to the running Airisu. Protoman stares at Zera and sees she is getting up.
"Don't you dare lay a finger on my operator." Zera growled.
"Or what Zera?"
"I'm going to destroy the dark energy that's inside your heart."
"Oh please...you can't do anything about it."
"Try me." Zera yells and charges at her crush and he kicks her away and she hits a wall and it breaks.
"You're wasting my time Zera. I got more important deeds to attend to." Protoman walks away and Zera removes her armor gauntlets and revealed human hands. Her skin was pale and she removes her helmet also revealing her eye color as a dark pink color and her hair was long and flowed down her back and it was white colored with a pink tint to it. Zera summons white angel wings from her back and floats in the air. "Huh?" Protoman looks behind him and he gasps at the sight of Zera.
"Protoman...stop this now." Zera said as Protoman was seeing a beautiful angel in sight. Zera floats to Protoman and touches his face and looks into his eyes. Airisu was watching and couldn't believe what Zera looked like. Protoman couldn't believe it either. Zera was gorgeous and this was effecting the Dark Chips's power. Protoman tries to resist and pulls Zera's hand away and punches her in the face and she hits the ground flying. Protoman's dark energy had been taken away from him...well some of it. He pants as he feels weak.
"Zera?...what..is this." Protoman asked as he is feeling a feeling that he had never felt before. Zera's wing return to her and she puts her helmet back on and leaves her gauntlets off.
"I don't want to hurt you Protoman...I love you." Zera whispered and Protoman was shocked to hear her words. Did Zera really just say that she loved Protoman. "Please...return Protoman. Return to your true self...not this monster that this dark energy consumed." Protoman thinks as he walks to Zera.
"I'm sorry Zera." He said and looks into her eyes. "I didn't know you had feelings for me...I feel the same way." Protoman was getting closer to Zera's lips with his own.
"Do you?" Zera asked as she touches his cheek and he grabs her hip and pulls her closer to him.
"No." Protoman said and smirked and stabs Zera. She gasps as Protoman had stabbed her. Zera falls to the ground in pain and blood was coming out of her stab wound.
"ZERA!" Airisu screamed in fright as her NetNavi was injured and Protoman kicks Zera and turns his attention to Airisu.
"Looks like I got you now." Protoman said as be charges at Airisu. She gasps and braces for Protoman's impact with his blade out, ready to stab her. Just then, Airisu was protected by dream shield from Zera as she was up and panting and Protoman looks behind him to see her standing with her Cyber pink sword out, walking slowly as she is still in pain from the stab.
"When will you learn Zera?" Protoman asked Zera as he smacks Airisu hard and she was down. "HUH!? You said you wouldn't hurt me right? Well it looks like you got no choice but to fight me or Airisu will die by my hands." Zera was just about to cry as Protoman talked to her like this. She didn't want none of it and she smacks Protoman in the face and he goes down as Zera helped her Operato up to her feet. She was bruised from Protoman's smack to her face. Zera runs with Airisu as they look behind them and see Protoman getting up. Zera stops running and aims her cyber sword at Protoman's direction as is walking toward her. She fires it and it goes flying and Protoman couldn't see the hallway of the school cause of the lights and he sees a sword flying at him and he gets hit in the heart. He falls down. Zera tells Airisu to follow her as they walk to the fallen Protoman. A dark glow was coming off of him as a dark fog comes out of him and Protoman was back to normal. The Dark Chip falls down and Zera grabs it and breaks it. The Dimensional Area fades away and Zera enters back in Airisu's PET. The kids run in and see her. Protoman was back to normal and Enzan was as well. Since they were connected by the Dark Chip's power, he was also cure of the darkness. Airisu hugs Enzan as the others take a look at some of the damage Protoman had caused.
"I'm ok Enzan." Airisu said and Enzan kisses her bruise cheek and the lights come back on.
"We can finish the tournament tommorow guys." Ribitta said.
"Alright. I'll be ready." Airisu said with a smile.
"That fight was getting good." Netto said.
"This whole thing was my sister's doing. Not Sherrice." Airisu said.
"Where is she?" Meiru asked.
"She probably went home in anger." Misora said.
"Yea...you're probably right." Meiru said. As the school resumes from the power outage Sherrice was screaming and kicking the small closet she was in. No one could hear her and she screams as an echo roars at her and a dark light shines from the room and Sherrice's voice could no longer be heard.
"Goodbye Sherrice...you're trapped in the abyss of the UnderNet forever." Said Eros as she laughs and leaves the school building not caring that Protoman couldn't get the job done.
