turtle temper
hey guys I know its been a long time I just want to make a quick shout out to Heart of a Nightfury she has inspired me to keep writing I hit a patch where I felt like my work is no good and I should quit but I read her work and it inspired me to keep going and to get better so thank you very much.
I have been living with the guys for a year now and on this night we sat on the roof waiting for the Krang that had previously captured our friend April's dad. April had recently found out that the Krang were going to be in this lab but so far nothing had shown up I decided to work on some upgrades on my weapons whilst we waited I pulled out a small screw driver and transformed my hand I had changed one of my blades into a curved hook I had managed to finish this so I began work on my blaster. I wanted to shoot a net out to catch things or stop things coming but I need to do some calibrating so I began to work. I suddenly heard Mikey cry out in pain I looked up and saw Mikey holding his finger in pain Leo glared at them hissing.
"Guys! When ninjas are on surveillance they are supposed to be silent!" Mikey held his finger apologising.
"Sorry Leo I'll scream quieter" Raph has his eyes closed until Mikey pokes Raph's head one more time before Raph grabs Mikey's wrist flipping him over he then wraps his arm around Mikey's neck.
"Say it" Leo walked up to Raph hissing.
"Raph,be quiet!"
"Not 'til Mikey says it!" Mikey struggled to break free but he sighed letting his arms go limp.
"Raphael is all wise and powerful!" Just before Raph let Mikey go he slightly twisted his head.
"Aaaand?"
"And he's better than me in every possible way!" Mikey yelled as he tried to escape. Raph forces Mikey to the floor pinning him down.
"Aaaaaand?"
"And I'm a lonely worm beneath his feet who isn't fit to live on the same planet as him because he's so amazing and I'm a dirt clod!" Still keeping him pinned Raph licks his finger and hovers it above Mikey's head
"Aaaaaand?!"
"And in the history of the universe there's never been…" Leo decided to cut in now.
"Okay, Enough!" I rolled my eyes and spoke in disgust.
"Raph that was disgusting you can not place your own spit on somebody even if it is Mikey" Mikey slightly glared at me but Raph walked up to Leo saying.
"Were wasting our time! The Krang aren't gonna show up!" Leo simply looks at him.
"Have a little patience, will you?" Donnie now speaks up placing a hand on his chest saying confidently.
"Trust me guys their gonna break into that lab tonight I have reliable Intel" I chuckled at this.
"Intel? You mean April told you" Mikey began to smile grinning ear to ear chuckling.
"April? You mean his girlfriend?" me and the guys shared a look before Donnie snapped.
"She is not my girlfriend Mikey!" But me and the guys kept sharing the same look."she's a girl, who's a friend, who's dad got kidnapped by the same guys who are gonna break into that lab, and we're gonna stop them" Raph held his bored look as he said bluntly.
"Or we'll sit out on a cold roof all night for no reason" I decided to go back to my upgrades when a voice arose.
"What the heck's goin' on up here?" I looked up to see a middle height man he had a beer belly and was wearing a grimy white top and grey pants just the sight of him made me want to be sick. As he saw us he asked. "What are you, playing dress up?"
"No, sir." Leo said nervously."We we're just..." The man notices the broken satellite dish and began yelling at us.
"WHICH ONE OF YOU SLIMY, GREEN HAM SHANKS BUSTED MY SATELLITE DISH?!"
"HAM SHANKS?!"
"I don't know what that means."
"Me neither, but I don't like it!" Raph goes towards his sais but Leo grabs his wrist before he can grab it.
"Let's go." He looks to Raph saying mockingly.
"That's right, you spineless cream puff! Listen to your mommy!" I gaped at what he said and turned snapping.
"What did you just say pal?" Raph pulls out his sais snapping.
"Hey! Watch it, buddy!" He fakes shock and mocks us.
"Oh, no! I didn't know you had salad tongs!" Then turning to me he taunted me. "Oh no is girly gonna slap me with her nail file?" I look in shock.
"Nail file?!" I take a deep breath so I don't slice this guy with my laser but Raph isn't doing so good.
"Salad tongs?!" He begins to charge at him but me and the guys grab him before he can do anything. We tried to pull him back but it was hard when suddenly a blast of pink laser hit my arm making everyone look to the Krang Leo hissing.
"Way to blow our position Raph" I charged transforming my hand into my gun and hook I grabbed the nearest Krang droid pulling its forehead to the gun firing then transforming my gun into a blade and slicing through the other droids I heard the man's voice yell.
"Keep going kung fu frogs this stuff is pure gold" Raph glares towards the man snapping.
"Were not frogs, you idiot" I decided to pipe up here.
"And it's not Kung fu it's an ancient Japanese battle art!"
"Guys!" We all turned to Leo as he hissed. "He's got us on video" Raph gritted his teeth and growled.
"Not for long he doesn't" Raph charged at the door only to face plant into it as the man slammed it into his face. I ran up to Raph helping him up as Donnie said.
"Fire trucks on route. Thirty seconds"
"Then let's move" Leo said.
"Wait!" Raph snapped. "We need to find that guy and break his phone! And his face" but nobody listened as we ran back to the lair. We now sat in front of Sensie as he spoke to us clearly angry that the mission was ruined.
"So not only did Raphael alert the Krang, but you were caught... On video!"
"Sensie!" Raph nearly yelled defensively. "He was the angriest, nastiest guy you've ever met" Mikey leans forward looking at Raph smirking.
"Except from you" Raph growls at Mikey hitting his hand against his head making Mikey whimper in pain. Raph looked back at Sensie continuing.
"You should of heard the insults this guy was throwing at us! They were so..." I decided to help Raph find the right word at this point.
"Insulting?" Raph smiled at me agreeing.
"Yes!" Sensie stroked his beard saying.
"Oh I did not know he was saying mean things" Sensie said sarcastically. "Of course you had no choice but to jeopardize your mission" after Mikey said another thing that annoyed Raph Sensie continued. "You are ninjas, you work in the shadows - in secret. This becomes difficult if there is proof of your existence in high definition" after looking down Raph looks back up saying.
"Look we know where this guy lives. All we have to do is find his and shake him until the tape pops out"
"Oh there's no tape" Donnie piped in. "Video cameras use flash memory and-" Donnie stopped as Raph began to growl at Donnie I gave Raph a calming look saying.
"Calm Raphael deep breaths"
"Gadget is right Raphael, anger is self-destructive" Raph looks down to the flor muttering.
"I always thought it was others destructive"
"Raphael!" Sensie snaps. "Stand up" we moved into the dojo for Raph's punishment we all held arrows and bows Sensie turned to Raph saying. "Avoid the arrows" Raph grinned saying.
"No problem"
"Hajime" we all began to shoot arrows at Raph which he easily dodged after Raph had avoided the arrows Sensie yelled. "Yame!" We looked to Sensie for orders. "Again. Except this time Leonardo, Michaelangelo, Donatello and Gadget insult Raphael" Donnie looked to Sensie unsure.
"Wait, insult... him?"
"Yes."
"And he can't fight back?"
"No." Donnie looked to us smiling.
"I'm feeling good about this plan." I listened as the others taunted him but I just couldn't bring myself to it I didn't know why I just felt like I couldn't hurt Raph's feelings. I must of zoned out because when I looked back Raph was covers in arrows Mikey smiled dreamily.
"Ah I hope this moment lasts forever" Raph got up and threw his sais down yelling.
"You know what! Forget this! This is stupid!" Mikey's smile instantly fell.
"Aw it didn't" Raph walked to Sensie but as one arrow popped off Mikey began laughing making Raph growl and Sensie snap then turning to the rest of us.
"You must get the tape back using reason not force" as we left to make a plan Sensie called me back. "Gadget may I have a word?" I kneeled down in front of him as he spoke. "I noticed you were not taking part in the activity may I ask why this is?" I thought for a minute.
"I just couldn't bring myself to do it Sensie I couldn't hurt Raph physically or mentally" Sensie placed a hand on my shoulder.
"Gadget this does not change you as a person it simply increases your character do not be ashamed of it. However you must remember not all people will be as kind as you and I as I'm sure you know" I nodded my head understanding. The next night we went to find the guy I would later find out was named Vic so I'll call him that now. Anyway we eventually found Vic outside of his building talking to someone over his phone.
"I swear on my mothers grave that these guys are frogs and know kung fu" I listened more as he spoke of me. "They even fight with a girl with sword blades in her arms! You can't tell me that ain't worth something!"
"Now" Leo hissed. We all jumped down cornering Vic who stared at us before saying.
"I'll call you back" he hung up the phone and pointed at us saying. "Lay one finger on me frogs, and I'm callin' the cops. That goes for you toaster" I looked at him in shock.
"Toaster?!"
"We're not gonna hurt you" Raph growled through gritted teeth his fists clenched tightly.
"Then whadda want, freak?" Raph clenched his fists so tight his knuckles were about to go white.
"We got off on the wrong foot last night. Some things were said, and well... We would just like that video back. Hm?" Leo nudged Raph's arm making him glare at Leo but mumble. "Please?"
"What are you gonna give me for it?" I looked in shock and asked him.
"Give you for it?" Vic grinned at us saying.
"Well I figured I got you over a barrel, so you need to make it worth my while"
Raph snarled at Vic yelling. "I'll make it worth your while... I WON'T TAKE YOUR HEAD AND SMASH IT AGAINST THE-" Leo pushed Raph back stepping in quickly.
"Okay! Thank you Raphael I will take over" Leo smiled kindly at Vic asking. "So, what are you looking for?" Vic thought for a minute before saying.
"Ah... Cool mil oughta cover it"
Leo nodded. "Mhm, mhm a cool mil of what?" I tapped Leo on the shoulder and whispered to him.
"He means a million dollars" Mikey perked up saying.
"We have some Canadian quarters that fell through the grate" Vic waved the phone in front of us tauntingly saying.
"I can make some seriouse money off this thing. And if you don't wanna pay, I'll hold onto it until someone else does"
"that's it!" Raph suddenly pounced out from behind us and pinned Vic to the ground snarling."You better hand over the phone, or so help me, I'll kick your hairy butt all the way to New Jersey!" Suddenly before Raph could punch Vic a pair of headlights blinded us turning around we saw the Krang pointing their guns at us.
"guy's the Krang" suddenly the van drove straight at us we all managed to jump out of the way but Raph and Vic were still there. "Raph look out!" Leo shouted Leo leaped in the way managing to push the two out of the way before the van hit them. As the van turned around to ram at us again Leo said. "let's not let this one get away" Raph turned to a empty oil can he flung it at the van, and hit it. The van skidded crashing into the building. Raph crossed his arms saying rather smugly.
"well that was easy" suddenly a group of Krang jumped out of the back of the van and began firing at us. "okay..." we charged at the Krang I sliced through the Krang but I suddenly looked up and saw Raph jump into the van which suddenly set off I ran up to the guys saying.
"Raph's in the van" we ran up to the van the back doors were open and we could see Raph a Krang droid had him in a headlock Raph bit the Krang droids arm and punched him in the face. We saw Raph go towards Vic with an evil glare in his eyes Donnie reached his Bo staff out yelling.
"Raph! Get out of there!" Raph didn't listen as he carried on yelling at Vic suddenly a Krang droid picked him up and chucked him at us we didn't have time to move as Raph hit us hard my optic hit the ground and I could see cracks now around one of my eyes. After the guys got up I stayed on the floor checking if my optic was still functinol which it was thank God. When I looked up I saw Leo yelling at Raph.
"what did I do?" Raph asked angrily. Leo stood there in shock.
"what did you do? you left us in the middle of a fight to yell at someone! we could of stopped them, but thanks to your temper, the guy with the tape-"
"again, tecnically, it's a-"
"not now!" Leo snapped at Donnie who looked down sheepishly I walked up to him and placed my hand on his shoulder and smiled at him. "...is in the hands of the Krang!" Leo finished. "how are we supposed to find them?" Raph began glaring but something caught my eye I scanned a nearby puddle that was black I called back to the guys.
"hey guys I think the truck is leaking" they walked up to me Leo saying.
"your right Gadget" he now smiled. "alright! we can follow their trail to their hideout"
"and then we'll bash some bots" Raph said grinning punching his fist into his hand. Leo gave Raph a unpleasent face that made Raph's fall. "what?"
"we are going to bash some bots" Leo now crossed his arms saying. "you are going home" we all looked slightly shocked at what Leo was saying.
"What? Are you kidding?" Raph's looked to us. "Guys, are we really gonna let Leo power trip like this?" Nobody spoke until Donnie spoke up.
"... I think Leo's right" Raph stared at Donnie I shock he then turned to me.
"Gadget your not going with Leo right?" I looked back and forth.
"Your my bro Raph but I'm not getting involved dude" Leo stood forward.
"You've gotta control your temper" he told him. "Until then... We can't trust you" Leo walked away along with Donnie, Mikey stayed a second to apologise. Before I joined them I turned to Raph.
"I'm sorry Raph" he looked at me slightly.
"It's okay Gadget" we had followed the oil trial to an old abandoned warehouse as we leaned against the wall Donnie spoke.
"We're here" Mikey seemed to have a sad look on his face.
"You okay Mikey?" I asked him.
"Well..." He said. "Are we really gonna do this without Raph?"
"We can handle this" Leo answered.
"I dunno" Mikey said unsure. "It just feels like something's missing" Leo hit Mikey against the back of his head. "Ow" Mikey looked to Leo rubbing his head. "Thanks"
"Happy to help" Leo said whilst almost smiling. "Let's go!" I walked with Leo using my optic to scan ahead for dangers when I heard Leo. "Hey!" I turned to see Mikey and Donnie fighting Leo began walking again when Mikey stopped and threatened Donnie with his hand. We stopped when we saw the Krang in a large room with a large canister of mutagen with Vic tied to a chair.
"Well you guys drive a hard bargain" he said. "Tell you what, I'll drop it down to five hundred thousand, and you can keep the phone" the Krang droids turned away from Vic. "Okay four thousand"
"This is out fight with the begins known as'the turtles and experiment Cyborg'" one Krang droid said.
"The usefulness of this will be proven usefully with the more watching of this" another said.
"Also this is being a good image of Krang" whilst the Krang were distracted Mikey used his chain to wrap around Vic's chair and began to pull him towards us slowly.
"We're gonna get you out of here" Leo whispered.
"What about my phone?"
"Shh!" I hissed.
"Don't shush me!" Vic said angrily to me. "I ain't leaving without my phone!"
"Stop the ones that need to be stopped!" A Krang droid yelled.
"Remind me why we need to rescue this guy?" Donnie asked.
"Your guess is as good as mine" I said back. We charged at the Krang with our weapons drawn I pulled out my blade and my hook I grabbed a Krang droid with the hook and slashed its head off I had taken down a few when a loud yell came from the shadows.
"Krang, go look to the place where this that make noise is, and tell us what thing makes that noise in that place" a Krang droid said to another droid. The Krang droid went into the shadows but was flung out hitting a wall. A lot growl came from the shadow.
"I don't like the sound of that" Mikey said suddenly a large spider mutant emerged from the shadows. "I don't like the look of it either"
"What did you do to me?" The mutated spider asked. "I'm hideous!"
"Don't worry the five of us can handle it" Leo said.
"Okay this might be a bad time to point this out. But you sent one of the five of us home" Donnie said nervously.
"And right now, I wish it was me!" Mikey yelled.
"I know it bro" I said worriedly.
"This is your fault" the spider growled. "I'm gonna rip your heads off" I unfurled my blade and blaster
"Alright guys!" Leo held up his katana. "Get ready to dish out the might wrath of justice"
"Seriously, just yell 'get him'" Donnie said bluntly.
"Get-!" Leo was cut off as a long black leg smacked him aside into a pile of boxes.
"Leo!" I yelled. Donnie charged trying to hit the spider on his head but the four spider legs grabbed the staff and threw Donnie across the room. I charged forward slashing at him but he managed to block all my hits I then went to kick him but he grabbed me with his long leg and threw me against a wall. As I got up and stood with my brothers Mikey yelled.
"Is that all you got?" The spider suddenly spat a large yellow blob at our feet the blob hissed and melted the floor like acid. "The answer I was looking for was yes" we tried to run away but the spider blocked us. He fired blob after blob at us eventually making us fall through the floor. "We're no match for Spiderbytes"
"Spiderbytes?" Leo asked.
"Well he's a spider, and he bites. So I thought-"
"We get it!" Leo snapped. We ran to the left of Spiderbytes but he blocked us we then tried the right but he blocked us again. "This bug is fast"
"Spiders aren't bugs" Donnie said.
"Yeah they're actually arachnids because-" I was cut off as a leg wrapped around myself and Donnie and flung at a large crate. My optic now had a large crack running through it and error pages were on my screen.
"Playtimes over frogs and toaster" he hacked again nearly hitting Leo and Mikey.
"Wow, I didn't think this guy could get any uglier" above us stood Raph.
"Raph!" Me, Donnie and Mikey exclaimed.
"I think you've punished long enough " said Leo. "Come and join us"
"Well, hey!" Spiderbytes mocked at Raph. "It's the kung fu frog with the salad tonges"
Raph just glared at him. M"hey, it's the stupid loud mouth who's about to get his butt kicked" after Spiderbytes made us fall through another level more and more error pages showed up my system couldn't take much more damage.
"Uh let's not fall through this floor okay?" Donnie said.
"Watch me turn your friends into frog fries" Spiderbytes taunted. "I'll serve 'em up with your salad tonges! After I use the toaster down there to cook them!" Spiderbytes then jumped down the hole.
"Scram!" Leo shouted. As we scattered Spiderbytes landed, Raph landing on top of them.
"Aww... Frogie thinks he can stop me" Spiderbytes taunted. "Ribbit, ribbit" After many attacks Raph managed to catch one of Spiderbytes legs and used it as a shield against one of his acid blobs. "That's some kung fu frog" we all jumped and landed next to Raph.
"We're not kung fu frogs were ninja turtles!" Raph said grinning. "And a awesome cyborg" Leo sliced his katana at one of his legs while Mikey zip-lined across kicking Spiderbytes in the face. I then charged blasting him in the side and then slicing him with my blade. Donnie and Raph delivered the final blow with a hard kick to his face. I then noticed Vic's phone I walked up to it and blasted it.
"No! My phone!" Spiderbytes yelled. "Your gonna regret this" we followed him outside.
"I know a nice black widow that'd be great for him" Donnie said casually.
"Wait black widows eat their mates" I stated.
Donnie smiled to me.
"Exactly my point" Leo walked up to Raph.
"Nice work Raph" he said, smiling at Raph. "I just wanted to say..."
"You don't have to apologise" Raph assured him.
"I wasn't going to" Leo said.
"Oh... Good!"
"Yeah Raph" Mikey said grinning. "Not bad for a bloated buffalo" Mikey turned away only for Raph to pounce on him. "Ah! Okay!" Mikry yelped flailing his arms. "Raph is all wise and powerful!"
"And...?"
"And he's better than me in every possible way!" I began to laugh when my systems began to shut down making me collapse backwards. I felt someone catch me looking up I saw Donnie before I fell asleep I heard Donnie say reassuringly to the guys.
"She'll be fine she just need's to rest"
