My personal ranting:

You don't have to read my following problems: School is almost over for me, thank you Jesus. I have senior-itis, despite not being a senior year. Class of 2k16, we lit. I've probably actually had senioritis for all my years of high school, don't be like me. MY GRADES ARE STRUGGLING. I AM STRUGGLING. My life is a struggling. I don't give a fuck about trig, or physics. Who needs college? I don't need college, and college don't need me. (I need college, I am joking.) I just wish I was an super honors student, instead of being average. I barely make mastery. I wish I would be accepted to any college I get wanna go too, but I just gotta remind myself that even if I don't go to the best college, that doesn't mean college life won't be great, or I won't experience a lot of great things. All my friends are just smart, and I'm just the average bitch in the group so… yeah… this is not regarding the story at all, I'm venting. But even though, I'm average as fuck, I have a lot of good things to put down on my college applications cause I do a lot of shit, and my SAT and ACT are just above average so… hopefully…God walks with me…

Regarding the story:

Sometimes I get inspired for chapter by the music I listen too, which is a lot of alternative, or rap and hip hop, or pop, so if I am inspire by one, and the lyrics relate to the story, Imma just give it a mention…

Eyes on Fire

Chapter 9

Several rich and wealthy house hold families chatted away happily in the huge ballroom they had rented out for this grand occasion. There were satin taupe table clothes, white flowers in vases on tables, champagne glasses, several chandeliers hung on the ceiling. Usually when the Hyuga family held these they only wanted to create and/or strengthen their bonds with other rich families and/or to extend their fortune, but another special event was intended. Neji sat next to his father at one of the bigger tables saved especially for family. He stared at the glass of champagne that was in front of him.

"Do you want to drink it?" Hizashi said to him. Neji stared at his father.

"Can I?"

"Have a taste."

Neji picked up the glass cup, and sipped it, then spit it back into the class. Hizashi gave small hearty laugh.

Hinata's smile would be stuck on her face for the whole night at this event. Probably even wake up with pain in her cheeks the next morning. She followed her father around as he greeted everyone table by table.

"Oh my Hinata!"One heavy set woman said. "Do you remember me?"

'Kiku Hamatsu. Fifty-six years old. Loves to eat. Has 3 children, and seven grandchildren. A cougar. Very much a know-it-all, and acts very spoiled. Only likes to get what she wants. Loves to be complimented, and to feel special.' Hinata thought to herself. She kept small profiles on most of the guest to make she gave good impressions.

"Yes, Miss Kiku Hamatsu. How are you?" Hinata replied.

"Fine! You are so polite! And still the most adorable thing!" She replied. "I love the little dress you're wearing!"

"Thank you! I wish I can be as fashionable as you as I grow up!"

Hiashi put his hand on Hinata's shoulder.

"Oh, don't go buttering me up now! You'll make my head too big!" Kiku smiled. "You're so nice, I wish my kids could be more like you, they're all so rude!"

One of the male servers came up to Hiashi and whispered something in his ear, then walked away.

"Sorry to cut this short." Hiashi said. "We're going to start the event."

"No worries!" Kiku said. "You raised her well!"

"Thank you very much." Hiashi said, and then guided him and Hinata to the podium in front of the main table.

People began to quiet down, and the lights dimmed. If you looked up, the chandelier shinned beautifully.

"Hello! Welcome to the Hyuga's family annual gala!"

The crowed clapped. Hiashi continued on with his speech. Hanabi sat slumped at the main table. Kicking her feet back and forth. Staring at her sister, who stood behind their father. Once again, her sister wore her fake smile and lifeless eyes. Hinata stared out into the crowed. Wondering when this would be over. She was always bored at these events, even when she was Hanabi's age. It was torture to go around and socialize with everyone, but she had to be perfect. Because that's what her father wanted.

"And now I would like to proudly introduce my oldest daughter who is making a great announcement in relation to the company." Hiashi took a step back.

Hinata climbed up the stepper, she needed to reach the microphone.

"Hello, my name is Hinata Hyuga, and I am going to be the next head of the Hyuga's cooperation."

The crowd clapped for her. You heard many amazed 'ah's' and 'ooh's'. Such a young child stating out loud that they will be the next heir of the company was usually an accomplishment for an older business. Especially sense most businesses owners don't have children who want to take over after their parents retire. Hanabi frowned more. Hizashi clapped slowly.

Hinata sat in the car, staring outside the window. Her sister fell asleep on her lap. Neji also was asleep. Hizashi glanced at Hinata through the front view mirror, then back at the road.

"Uncle."

"Yes?"

Hinata stayed quiet for a bit. "Why didn't he let me stay at the gala longer… was I doing something wrong?"

She remembered how her father brought her to her uncle with her younger sister, and asked him to take them home. Even though Hinata insisted on staying 'til the gala was over, he declined her request.

"Well," Hizashi said, "You guys didn't need to stay for the whole thing. It's late, past ten, and kids your age don't need to be out so late. I don't need to be out late either, I'm just like you, I've got to go to bed. Got a golf-tournament tomorrow with some possible sponsors. Already got the golf clubs in the back already. You father probably should've came home with us." Hizashi laughed. "Since he's coming tomorrow also-"

"Why didn't he let me stay at the gala!" She said, her voice full of confusion and self-anger. "Was I doing something wrong? A-Am I still not good enough?"

Her bangs covered her eyes so he couldn't see her face. Hizashi stared at her with sad eyes through the front mirror.

"No… you did nothing wrong. It's just your bed time, kids your age don't need to stay up late." He said.

"Liar." She whispered under her breath. Hizashi sighed, and pulled up in front of the mansion, in back of an already parked car. Hinata immediately got out, and walked to the door way. Neji woke up when Hizashi went around back to pick Hanabi up.

"I'll be right back Neji."

He sleepily nodded and went back to sleep. Hizashi carried Hanabi into the house, and upstairs into her bed. His phone fell out of his pocket, he made a note to pick it up later. He placed her on her bed, he'd get Hinata to change her into PJ's. Hanabi didn't wake up at all. He walked to Hinata's room, she sat on her bed looking down.

"You don't gotta worry. He meant nothing by asking you to leave." He patted her shoulder, but she didn't reply. "Now I tucked in your sister, but now that I think about, I didn't put her in her PJ's. Can you do that for me?"

Hinata nodded slowly.

"Then go to bed yourself, okay? Are you guys gonna be okay by yourself?"

She nodded. He ruffled her hair.

"Goodnight." He walked down stairs, made sure to turn off all the downstairs light and lock the door before he left.

'How long can my brother keep this up?' Hizashi shook his head. He climbed into his car, looked at his soon in the seat, and drove off. He sighed. Once he drove off, the car he parked in back of lights turned on. Five men exited the car. The biggest guy had red hair who was ironically called, Red. One had tattoos on his neck. The leader was a brown hair guy with knuckle rings. One had glasses, and was more of the coward type. A guy with black hair was the shortest out of them all.

"Now there's two of them home." Said the coward.

"They're kids. There probably in their rooms in bed. You saw the one he was carrying was asleep." The biggest guy in the group said.

"Yeah, but one light is still on." Said the one with the tattoo.

"Kids sleep with night lights."

"Nah, man, if they're still awake-"

"Nah, man, how bout you all stop being so pussy. Cause we're all grown ass men, and there are only two kids in the house."

"Doesn't matter if their kids or not, if they see our face, one of them can still identify us. Who says we won't get caught?" Said the coward.

"If you're so fucking scared. Kill 'em." The leader said to them. He went to the truck, and pulled out two bats. "Who knows? Maybe we can just hold 'em hostage for even more money or somethin'?"

They all made way toward the house.

"You'd think there house would be more secured." Said the guys with the tattoos.

"You guys, go around back. Me and Red will take the front, and you…" The leader pointed at the coward of the group. "You just… watch out and tell us if the rest of the family comes home."

He nodded several times. Two guys went around back. The leader picked the lock, and they were in. The coward stayed by the door, he turned the light on.

"The fuck are you doing?" Said the leader.

"Im watching the door."

"No! Dumbass turn the light off!"

"B-But! This house is huge! And I'm not good with-"

"Look, you can shut the fuck up, turn the lights offs and do your job, or I can shoot you in the leg. One less person to split it with."

"Sh-Shoot? Wh-What do you have a gun for? I thought we only had bats! Y-You didn't say you had a-"

"Turn the damn light off!"

"O-Okay!"

Red made way up the stairs, the leader started looking on the first floor. The coward turned the lights on once he knew the leader was out of range.

Hizashi stopped at a red light. He glanced at his sleeping son in the mirror. Classical music played throughout the car. He dug in his pocket for his phone, he decided he's call his brother to see how the gala it doing, and remind him of the gold tournament tomorrow. He searched for his phone, but couldn't find it. He sucked his teeth.

'I dropped it, when taking Hanabi up the stairs.'

He made a quick U-turn once the light turned green.

Hinata was in her sister room.

"Hanabi, wake up a little bit." Hinata shook her sister. She was already out of her clothes, and in her PJ's. Now she only had to help her sister out of hers. Hanabi didn't budge. She flipped her sister over like a pancake, and unzipped her dress. It was more of a struggle to take the dress off her though without her sisters cooperation. After 10 minutes of struggling, she got it off. Hinata smiled. She easily slipped Hanabi's gown over her head and onto her body. She stared at her sisters face, and touched her cheek.

"I'm sorry Hanabi. I wish I was a better sister." She whispered. Wondering if possibly her sister actually was asleep or awake listening. Hinata turned out off her sister's lights, walked out her sisters room, and made way down the hall. She stopped, she thought she saw something move. She stared hard into the dark.

"I see one! I guess they're awake after all."

Hinata's body ran cold. A big guy. A really big guy. She couldn't see him clearly, but she could make out his huge figure in the dark.

'Run!' She told herself. 'But Hanabi… I should run to the phone or maybe to the neighbors! But If I get caught I can't help Hanabi! He probably doesn't know which room she's in or maybe… or maybe-"

He started walking toward her. She ran. She ran all the way down the stairs, aiming to trying to reach the phone. But she ran into the something. Hinata was grabbed by the hair.

"Yeah, I guess one is awake. Maybe we can just hold her for hostage, her sister too. Did you see the sister?"

"No. I didn't see her."

"Doesn't matter. We've got one."

The leader grinned.

"Or maybe, we should just kill her." He said, and laughed. Hinata's eye's watered, and she began to squirm. The guy laughed even more. "That's the reaction I wanted to see!"

He was hit around the back the head with a golf club. The leader stumbled, and was unprepared for the punches that followed.

"Hey! What going on down there?" Red yelled, running down the stairs. He turned on the lights to see his leader on the floor, and Hizashi standing in front of Hinata.

Hinata stared at her uncle. Happy, and too shocked to even respond. Hizashi smiled at his niece, then turn around. He immediately came at the big guy. He swung the golf-club like you would sword.

'The fuck is with this old-guy.' Red thought.

Even if the guy was huge, all he had was strength, no fighting skill. Hizashi knocked the big guys out in an instant. He walked back over to Hinata once he knew the big guy wasn't gonna wake up anytime soon.

"Are you okay? How 'bout Hanabi?"

"W-We're fine! Th-Thank you protecting..." It got hard for Hinata to speak. "Th-Thank you pro…tec…ting g…" She couldn't force her to speak anymore.

He hugged her. "Don't worry, calm down. Everything's alright. We're gonna get your sister and we're gonna go. It's alright. It's a good thing I came back. You did good protecting her 'til now. It's okay. Just breath. You're strong Hinata, you're strong." Hinata wheezed in his chest. Hizashi went on. "Even though things haven't been going your way… you're strong!" Hinata stopped wheezing." You're strong, and don't let anyone tell you different. Keep on protecting yourself and those you care for." Hizashi looked into his nieces eyes. Hinata eyes full of tears, almost about to fall over.

"Uncle watch out!" Hinata screamed.

Hizashi took a kick to the side. The leader cracked his neck, and rubbed his shoulder.

"Damn, I wish the others were here so we could all gang up on this geezer."

Hinata's eyes widened. Hizashi got back up.

"Oh, no you don't!" The leader whipped out his gun real quick, and pulled the trigger. Hizashi ran toward. He pulled the trigger two more times. Hizashi punched him square in the stomach, and slammed him into the wall. Knocking the gun out of his hand, and closer to Hinata's feet. She flinched.

"Believe it or not," Hizashi said. "I broke at least four of your ribs."

Hizashi fell to the ground.

Hinata let out a small cry. She ran over to him, and froze. He had taken all three shots. One in the leg, one in the chest, and the last one in the stomach. Tears flowed from her eyes like blood spilled from the bullet wounds.

"Protect your… sister…"He looked at her with a sad and small smile, "and… yourself…"

His last words.

The only person who kept treating her kindly was dead. Hinata wasn't even sure what emotion she was feeling. This wasn't even reality anymore. How could this be? Could a ten year old really be facing his type situation? Did any other child really have to face have the bullshit she faced in life? This is the stuff you're supposed to see in movies. Not experience. There was no one to say nice words to her anymore. All she had was herself. No one was there to protect her now or in the future. Her fear mechanism shut down. It was fight or flight. Flight wasn't even an option anymore. All she could do… all she wanted to do… was fight.

Hinata looked around the room and analyzed her situation. Forcing herself to realize all this in fact was real.

'For now on… I gotta protect myself... now… and in the future… but… right now… I don't only have to protect myself…' Hinata thought.

"Dammit. Even though I got him three times, damn, he still gave a powerful impact," The leader said. Back against the wall, clutching his abdominal area. He looked at his partner that was still knocked. He heard the click of the sound of the hammer being pulled back on his gun. His head snapped toward Hinata.

He gave a nervous laughter, "You're not gonna do it."

Hinata pulled the trigger, but missed. She pulled back on the hammer again.

"H…. HEY!" He yelled.

She shot him square in the face. Her hands shook. She tried to shoot it again, but it was out of bullets. She dropped the ground. The big guy's foot twitched.

'I'm strong.'

She walked over to one of the flower vases by the window.

'No one is going to try to help you.'

She picked it up.

'Never let anyone break you.'

She walked over to the big guy.

He put his hand on his forehead. "Dammit, that guy hit me good." He looked up. "Wait!"

Hinata smashed the ceramic vase over his head. Blood streamed from the side of his head. Looking down at him with her lifeless and emotionless eyes.

'I am strong.'

Hinata remember the words of the leader: 'I wish the others were here'.

"There's more of them." She whispered aloud. She slowly dragged her feet to the kitchen, and got the biggest knife from the kitchen. . She clutched it, and forced herself to put her emotions away. Fear was not allowed, at least not right now.

She went upstairs and checked on her sister, to make sure she's okay. She peaked in her room before locking her door.

I have a sister to protect.

The shortest guy in the gang, walked through the house causally. He didn't really consider himself of the group at all. He only wanted to take as much as he could carry and run off, he didn't care about anything else. If he ran before they noticed, he'd be in the clear. Too easy. He entered the living room, and almost dropped his bat when he saw the bloody mess. The guy they saw walk into the house before was dead so was his leader with a gun-shot to the head. Even the biggest one out of them all looked like he had a cracked skull.

"Shit," He grinned. "Guess I don't gotta worry about running off anymore. I wonder if the other two are still alive?"

He heard faint and small footstep running behind him, by the time he turned around, Hinata pushed the knife into his stomach real quick, he knocked her away from him in reaction. Then pulled the knife out of him, and threw it to the ground.

"Shit! Oh God! Dammit!" He fell to his knees. Hinata picked up the knife again.

"No! " The guy fell back. "Get the fuck away from me!"

She stabbed him one last time in the chest, and he was done.

'There's two more…' she thought to herself.

The clanking of glasses could be heard from down the hall. The guy with a tattoo was in their father's room full of liquor.

"I've hit the jack pot," He said. He picked up several bottles of vodka, rum, and more.

"I see some traditional good old Japanese sake!" He picked up a bottle, and downed it. "Ahhhh! That's what I like! Oh! We got some foreign ones! What's this? Barcadi! Disaronno Amaretto! Macallan! Grey Goose! Jack Daniel's! Johnnie Walker! Some shit I can't even pronounce! I'm taking it all!"

He picked up as many bottles of liquor as he could. Struggling to them carry them out of the room of liquor.

"I'm just gonna bring these to the car real quick, and come back, hopefully none of the guys will notice-"

He dropped all the bottles of alcohol in his hand. He turned around as best as he could, and Hinata sticking the knife into his back, before he dropped dead.

She heard glass ruffle behind her. She turned around, and the last intruder held a bat above her. The coward of the group had been hiding the whole time.

'It was my fault this happened, because I didn't watch the door properly!'

He left to go to the bathroom, and by the time he came back, he saw the door open, and a guy kicking both the leader's and Red's ass. He didn't have to courage to help nor the brain the think to try and get the others. Instead he hid in the bathroom, until now. He repeated to himself, "This wasn't supposed to happen! This wasn't supposed to happen! No one was supposed to die!"

His hands shook. He hesitated from hitting her. "Y-You…" He clutched the bat, and swung it at her. "I saw you kill those two! Y-You monster-"

She pushed the knife into him deeply. He spit up some blood, and then fell to the ground. She took out the knife, and stood in silence. Trembling. She slowly walked back to the living room, where her dead uncle and phone were. She walked past him, and dialed the police.

"E-Excuse me." She cried. "There are a couple intruder's in my house."

Sasuke laughed. He was bent over, holding his stomach. He looked at her. Tears streamed down both of her cheeks now. "She's fucked up! Just like me! There's no way you can experience something like that and not get fucked up by it!"

He wiped a tear from laughing and smiled wickedly.

"You're friend was right! You are a survivor." Sasuke leaned back. "But… now I'm curious. How long will you survive? A person can't survive forever." His eyes glowed red. "I wanna see how long she survives."

At the funeral of her uncle. Hinata stood by her father, who was clenching his fist. Once again you couldn't tell if he was crying or not, his hair –frizzy and uncombed– covered his face. She stared down at the casket being lowered into the ground. Hinata held her little sisters hand. Hanabi wasn't crying, Hinata wasn't sure if it was because she hadn't yet grasped the concept of death or if she just wasn't close enough to him. There cousin, Neji, glared at Hinata from across the casket. He hated her. Blamed her for the death of his father. He would also be living with them for now on, since he didn't have a mother either, and they were the closest family member.

"Ne, Hinata," Hanabi yanked on her sister's sleeve.

"Why is uncle slweeping in that big box. There putting him in the ground… why isn't he doing anything?" She asked her.

Hinata held her sisters hand tightly.

"Because he's going where our mommy is."

Hinata glanced up at Neji, who's glare was full of so much hatred. Hinata took a deep breathe.

Hiashi firmly put his hand on Hinata's shoulder. "For now on. You will learn self-defense."

"Such a sad ending, but she turned into girl who could smile." He said to himself. "Cliché."

He wanted to see the other side of her, the side of her that was pushed to the edge. He stood up, walked over to her, and lifted her into his arms. He carried her up the stairs and into her bedroom and placed her one the bed gently. Hinata eyes opened and she shot up. She looked around the room. Her eyes locked on the clock that read 7:53. She jumped off the bed.

'Did I sleep away the whole day?' She grabbed the clock to make sure it was on the right time. She felt tears fall down her eyes. 'I'm crying?'

She tried to remember was happened during the day. All she could remember was when Ino and Sakura left. She stared at the clock again, surprised they weren't back by now. She reached for her door. The crash of a glass could be heard downstairs. Hinata froze. Her hand clenched the door nob. She heard heavy footsteps come up the stairs.

'If it was Sakura or Ino…but… they don't walk like that…' Hinata took a deep breath to calm herself. She heard the footsteps walk past her door. She slowly opened the door, and peaked out, seeing the back of her intruder. A guy wearing a baseball cap walked down the hall. Hinata jetted out the room, and down the stairs, and almost fell when she saw another intruder downstairs in the living. He was big and brolic, with a red beard and mustache. Except this guy had bright red eyes.

"I guess one of them are home!" He said with a huge grin on his face.

Hinata froze up. 'H-He's just like….'

She was unaware of his presence, but Sasuke stood behind her. His hand around of her shoulders.

"Your right. It's just like before, they're here to take what you have and even to kill." Sasuke whispered in her ear. The big guy laughed.

The man with the baseball cap stood at the head of the stairs, with his eyes also glowing red. "So you found her?"

"She came running downstairs." Said the big guy.

"Really? How did I miss her?" He laughed.

"It's just like before." Sasuke whispered.

She stared at the big guy. Adrenaline pumped through her veins. It really was just like when she was younger. It was truly happening again. They would kill her. Since she saw them, they would kill her. She stood calm and unfazed.

'I'm strong..'

The big guy took a step closer toward her.

Sasuke grinned. "Fight."

The guy stood in front of her.

Fight.

He bent down a bit to be on her level, and snickered in her face. "Hey, give us everything you have or we'll-"

He was cut off by Hinata's kick to his head. Her eyes were emotionless. Sasuke watched in amusement. This is what he wanted to see. She even knew self-defense techniques. She was quick with her attack at him, she didn't even leave an opening for him to give a punch. The big guy broke the glass cup of tea she had been drinking before that sat on the small coffee table. He took one shard to glass and tried to stab her with it. She caught it in her hand, it pierced her skin. She yanked it out of his hand, causing it to slice his hand too. Being forced the learn self-defense by her father was thing her father did right when she was young.

He stumbled back, clutching his injured hand. "Shit!"

Sasuke swung his arm over her shoulder. "Kill him with the glass."

She clutched it. She should kill him with the glass right? He was going to kill her. He came with the intension to kill, right?

"It's kill or be killed."

Blood dripped from her hands. It was a cold world. This world held beautiful and cruel things, and this just happened to be a cruel thing it held. There was nothing new or different about this situation. This was just way the world was made. Tragedies happen every day, but the world goes on. Nobody else is affected. She had the right to kill him. Since he was gonna kill her.

"KILL HIM."

Hinata dropped the glass. She walked toward the guy, and kicked him in the head. Knocking him out for good.

"Hey!"

She turned around. The big guys partner stood behind her, ready to hit her over the head with a bat. She quickly sent a punch toward his abdominal, and slammed him into the floor.

She repeated her uncles words, "Believe it or not, I broke four ribs."

He spit up some blood.

'Phone… police… I need to… call police…' Those thoughts rattled in her head, but the fear that filled her veins were still present.

"Hey!"

She flinched.

"Aren't you gonna kill us?"

She didn't reply.

"In this world only the strong survive. We lost. You're not gonna make it far if you give mercy like that-"

"…No... I don't want to…I don't have to..." She replied emotionless.

Sasuke stood and watched her, then proceeded to walk up the stairs. He shoved his hands in his pocket. Whether she killed them or not... Whether she learned constraint and control…. Whether she gave mercy or not. Whether she wasn't as fucked up or…

No.

"You're still as fucked up as me."

Hinata turned around real quick, thinking she heard another voice. Instead she saw Ino, mouthing words at her. Hinata stood confused.

"Hinata!"

Hinata's eyes shot open. She sat up. She was on the couch. Ino and Sakura stood over her. She looked around. No intruders. The house was normal. Everything was in its place.

'A dream?' She thought. 'No.. it wasn't…cause... my hand hurts.'

"Did you fall asleep like that in here?" Sakura asked her.

"I-I guess?" Hinata said, looking around the room. Confused, Ino and Sakura looked at each other

Ino walked toward the kitchen, and looked into the fridge, "Since Hina didn't make anything, should we order a pizza?"

"Don't you wanna tell Hinata what happened?" Sakura sat on the opposite couch of Hinata, and turned on the TV.

"Oh!" Ino slammed the fridge door out of excitement! "So! You know how I've been single for the past year? I usually don't say anything, but the singe life sucks, but today, when me and Ino were leaving the hospital, we passed by one of those street artist. I wanted to look at the art, and I thought his art was so dead, even though his paintings were beautiful, they looked dead. And I told him that! And he said it was, and that I was the person to tell him that, and then he told me his name is Sai, and asked me out on a date! He also is not a street artist, he owns his own art hall!"

Sakura said, "Ino thinks-"

"It's fate!" Ino added.

"Do you think you'd date him?" Hinata asked.

"I don't know. To be honest, he seems more like the quiet type, and I'm not, so… I'm not sure. But I was pretty loud when I spoke to him, and he still asked me out."

"I thought he was weird." Sakura admitted.

Ino smiled, "Only because he said you were ugly, and I was pretty." She turned to Hinata. "He is also very honest. Like me."

"He's rude," Sakura gave Ino the side-eye, "I think he's weird. You told him his art was dead, yet, that turn him on and he asked you out. He probably thinks you understand or like art or something. Guys will act like they love a girl if they think they relate after the first meeting."

"You're right!" Ino said, joining Sakura on the couch. "You have green eyes, and remember how Lee I high school's favorite color was green? Something in common! No wonder he stalked you for the rest of high school. It's okay it you love life sucks."

Sakura rolled her eyes.

Ino smile and shifted her weight onto one leg. "What you said is even related to our conversation. Are you hating?"

"YES! THAT ASSHOLE CALLED ME UGLY!"

Hinata glanced back and forth from Sakura, clutching her hand. It throbbed, and her knuckles were red. She rocked back and forth gently.

She let out a deep sigh.

At the top of the steps Sasuke stood, staring down at the end of the hall. Locking eyes with his brother.
