Ok, here is part one of Mulan!
(Sorry it took so long, this is surprisingly hard)
As the screen flickered to life, it went pale and Sky said, "Oh, by the way, Ping, you are going to be sitting up in the green seat, everyone else, eh... sit wherever you want. And Ping" she glanced over at the extremely nervous soldier "don't worry, Arrowbolt will be sitting by you to make sure" she glanced at Chi-Fu "nothing...unfortunate happens." She grinned, and then waved her hand at the screen, and it glowed brightly and images began to appear.
A Chinese painting of the Great Wall of China is slowly painted across the screen. The word Mulan and the dragon symbol appear.
"Who is Mulan?" Shang asked, turning towards Sky with a confused expression. Sky just gave him a grin that he thought was quite inappropriate for a woman to be giving to a man and said "You'll find out~"
The painting becomes animated, and a Chinese soldier walks around his post. Suddenly, a bird of prey hits the back of his head ... Soldier: Ah! [The hawk lets out a call. The soldier walks over to the edge of the wall. A hook comes flying up, followed by many more.] Soldier: [Running back to his post] We're under attack! Light the signal!
The Chinese assembled stare, how could a picture move? and how could it speak? Sky, seemed to be taking great delight in their reactions, if the way her shoulder's shook was any giveaway.
The door opens, revealing a couple of Huns. The soldier climbs up the ladder.
Shang's fingers curled tightly around his legs. If he'd had his weapon he would be gripping it, but the sorceress...witch? Whatever she was she had disarmed them all.
Soldier: [lighting the signal with a torch, while staring at the Hun leader; other signals go on all the way along the Great Wall] Now all of China knows you're here.
Shan Yu: [picking up a flag and tossing it in the signal fire] Perfect.
SHAN-YU! No wonder the Emperor was calling for more and more soldiers. Despite being trained to do the exact opposite, several shudders ran through the army. Even the bravest of soldiers was no fool. Shan Yu was evil incarnate, if he was invading China, then he would not be stopped with no casualties.
The Chinese General and two soldiers walk into the Emperor's chamber and bow.
General Lee blinked in surprise at his appearance on the...screen. It was...unexpected, and frankly rather startling to see oneself moving about, when you had already lived through that. He recognized the scene of course, since he had experienced it not all that long ago.
General: Your Majesty, the Huns have crossed our Northern Border.
Chi Fu: Impossible! No one can get through the Great Wall! [He is silenced with a raised hand from the Emperor]
General: Shan Yu is leading them. We'll set up defenses around your palace immediately.
Emperor: No! [Standing up] Send your troops to protect my people! Chi Fu!
More than one smile lighted the faces of the gathered Chinese. They truly had a kind Emperor.
Chi Fu: Yes, your Highness.
Emperor: Deliver conscription notices throughout all the provinces. Call up reserves, and as many new recruits as possible.
General: Forgive me, your Majesty, but I believe my troops can stop him.
Emperor: I won't take any chances, General. A single grain of rice can tip the scale; one man may be the difference between victory and defeat.
The screen faded away, and there was immediate protest from everyone, but Sky'swords silenced them.
"Do not worry" the girl spoke so softly, it was almost impossible to hear her "There is more, but you must be patient" and with that, she waved her hand at the screen, which pulsed slightly, and then continued.
What do you guys think? Thank you to all of the amazing reviewers who kept my dreams about this story come to life!
