man you guys are LUCKY, I found a website with the script for Mulan, updates will come faster from now on, I might even be super nice, and just finish it up now.
The screen flickered slightly, but Sky didn't seem to be bothered, and soon enough the images returned, to a young black haired female who looked oddly familiar...
Mulan:
[Using chopsticks to balance a grain of rice]
Quiet and demure ... graceful, polite, delicate, refined, poised ...
[she picks up a paintbrush and makes a mark on her arm] ... punctual!
Fa Zu frowned What is that girl doing now? he wondered, brows furrowing. Fa Li groaned as silently as she could, pressing her hand into her palms. Thank the ancestors that the matchmaker didn't seem to be here, otherwise her daughter would be practically doomed.
[A rooster crows] Aaiee!
[Blowing on her arm] Little brother! Little brother!
Yow, Ling, and Chein-Po leaned in with interest, could Ping be coming up? So far all Ping seemed to be doing was try and seem invisible which was rather strange.
Little- [she glances down at a sleeping dog on the floor]
Ah! There you are! [The dog wakes up]
"Why is your dog named Little Brother?" Ling asked, turning towards Ping. Ping shrugged, and didn't respond, instead tugging his helmet down lower over his face.
Who's the smartest doggy in the world? C'mon, smart boy! Can you help me with my chores today? [she ties a sack of chicken feed to his back, complete with a pole and a bone attached. Little Brother immediately chases the bone, running promptly into a wall and then out the door, scattering grain everywhere.]
So if that wasn't Ping...then where was he? Shang narrowed his eyes and looked around the room. Ping was here, but the woman on the screen wasn't. Something seemed...well...off about that. But soon the images continued, and he brushed it off. He supposed it was just a coincidence.
Fa Zu: [praying] Honorable Ancestors ... please help Mulan impress the Matchmaker today. [Little Brother, followed by a herd of chickens, bursts into the family temple.] Please, please help her.
Shang winced. Honor was very important, and this woman...well if that was how she did chores, there was not much hope that anyone would be willing to marry her.
Mulan: Father, I brought you some ... Whoop! [bangs into Fa Zu, he catches the tea pot on his cane while the cups hit the ground and shatter]
Fa Zu: Mulan ...
Mulan: I brought a spare!
Fa Zu: Mulan ...
Mulan: Remember, the doctor said three cups of tea in the morning ...
Fa Zu: Mulan.
"Do your daughter always ignore you like this?" Chi-Fu demanded, glaring at Fa Zu. Fa Zu sighed, and didn't say anything. To majority of the crowd, that seemed to be enough of an answer.
Mulan: ... and three at night.
Fa Zu: Mulan. You should already be in town. We're counting on you to ...
Mulan: Uphold the family honor. Don't worry, Father. I won't let you down. Wish me luck!
Fa Zu: Hurry! I'm going to ... pray some more
Chi Fu frowned "Wait a moment...I remember that girl! he dared to try to stop her father from joining the Army!"
But before he could say more,Sky turned around and said "She has her reasoning, believe me." she turned her head again, lingering oddly on Ping.
Ok, I have decided to be nice; I'm going to plow straight through, and finish ASAP
