Chapter 11
EMILY'S POV
"Is everything going to be okay?" Alison asked me nervously. This is exactly why I was skeptical about bringing her this deep into my life, Maya was different because she was actually in the Yin and Yang MC. I continued to look out of my bedroom window. The sun drowned in the horizon, its beautiful rays of light were glimmering in the darkness of the clouds faded and the pale moon peeked at me from the stars. I sighed heavily, Alison had only been together for a short time and I was already putting her and her family in danger. I felt her hand on my shoulder. I reached up and squeezed it greatfully. I was happy to have her here, regardless of the circumstances. I turned around and faced her.
"This is just the beginning, a war is coming and our opponents will do anything to hurt this club, family, friends," I grabbed both of her hands and gave her a significant look. "And people we love. I can't let you or your family be apart of that." Alison wrapped her arms around my neck.
"Emily, stop okay? You aren't going to scare me away." I separated myself from her. I went back to my spot by the window. I breathed heavily, listening to the sound of the rain outside. The tirade of the sky's teardrops hitting the roof of our house, calming my nerves.
"What is this about anyway Ali?" I turned around and faced her. "Is this because of your new mission to do any and everything that's dangerous in world?!" I yelled, she jumped slightly because of my tone. "So what? You got a second chance, I'd be trying to avoid all the things that could kill me!"
ALISON'S POV
I wondered what was causing Emily to be this...hostile. Her normally calm and pleasant demeanor had changed and her face contorted in an all - consuming anger; her nostrils flared, her brown eyes were flashing with the most angry and frustrated look I'd ever seen. I wondered if this was the real Emily, if the real Emily was someone who was filled with anger and hatred. I decided to give her some space. "I'm gonna go downstairs, and eat some pizza with your friends, and if you feel like not being an asshole to me you can come down and I'll have a slice waiting for you." Emily shook her head in disappointment.
"I don't know what you want from me Alison, I'm in a motorcycle gang, I'm all dark and twisty, I have no idea what draws you to me. Is it my bike? Is it the money? The popularity?" She asked stepping closer to me. I smiled at her.
"No its not any of those things, in fact I could care less about those things...I love you because of who you are with me, I can promise you that no one will ever love you more than I do." I wiped away her hot tears with the pads of my thumbs. "I've been in love with you ever since that day in the hallway where you picked up my books. You make me so happy Emily...My only wish is that one day you'll be able to see yourself through my eyes, then you'll know how amazing and beautiful you are." She wrapped her arms around me in an embrace that I could only describe as perfect. It seemed as if we melted into each other, all other noises in the room seemed to fade away. In that moment all my worries and fears faded away, because this moment was the only thing that mattered right now. "I will always be here for you." With that she hugged me tighter.
EMILY'S POV (20 Minutes Later)
The club members were all in a private room separated from everyone else. My dad was at the head of the table since he was the president. "Tiggy, Cole, and Hunter are all being moved to different charters. I looked at my father and all of them with surprise. Maya just continued to drink her beer. I reached over and took it from her.
"Asshole." She muttered under her breath. She sat up correctly. "If three of our members leave who's gonna replace them?" She wondered, finally doing something productive. My father smiled.
"These guys will." As if on cue three guys walked in. I gasped in surprise at who one of them was. Caleb Rivers, Toby Cavanaugh...and Noel Kahn. I didn't know that Noel's family was involved in the Yin and Yang. Tiggy, Cole, and Hunter left the room. The three new boys took their places at the table. "And I need a new Vice President now." My father looked at Maya. He handed her a patch. She smiled.
"This means a lot Mr. Fields'." I smiled at Maya, maybe this was a new page in her life, maybe she would stop the drinking.
"Call me Wayne." Maya smiled. We all clapped at her promotion. My dad picked up the gavel and hit against the table. "Thats it, anyone got anything to add?" We all nodded no. So we all left the room. I went over to eat a slice of pizza. Ivy came inside the house suddenly looking panicked.
She handed me a gun, a Beretta m9 to be specific. "They're coming." I looked at her. What the fuck was she talking about. "Everybody get down!" Everyone looked at her with surprise. I heard the sound of motorcycles approaching we all got down as the bullets came bursting through our windows, causing glass shards to go everywhere. I crawled around in search of Alison. I spotted her, and quickly made my way over to her as bullets continued coming through the house.
"You'll be okay!" I yelled at her. "Cover your ears!" She put both hands on her ears and tucked her head in between her knees. I checked the magazine on the gun. I went over to below one of the my surprise Maya came right next to me. "On three." After three seconds we both came up and starting shooting at the men outside the recoil of the gun was barely affecting me because of all the adrenaline I was feeling. I hit one of them, making him fall straight to the ground.I dropped to the ground to reload. I then came back up, shooting another one of them. All of them stopped shooting and retreated. "Everyone okay?" They all nodded. "Where's dad?" I looked around and so was Ivy. He was on the ground.
"Shit dad!" Ivy yelled. He had gotten shot right in the chest and was bleeding out.
"Go find those motherfuckers." My dad said to me, blood still pouring out of him. "You take this club by your hands. Strength come from the good things, your friends your family, the satisfaction of hard are the things that'll keep you whole, those are the things you need to hold onto when you're broken. You take this anger and you wreck havoc!" He yelled at me, it was amazing how strong he was being, even in his last moments.
"Dad...don't die." I cried. He was fading, and he was fading fast. I sniffled quietly.
"You need to destroy the Renegades…" He closed his eyes and then opened them slowly. "I love both of you girls." He then faded away.
"Open your eyes dad!" I yelled, grabbing him by the collar and shaking him vigorously. I shook my head angrily. I grabbed his gun and cocked it. I stood up, and looked at everyone in my club. Then I looked at Alison. "Let's kill these motherfuckers."
