A/N: Sorry about the slow update again, but I've been searching for concrete ideas for the chapters and I've decided to make this a story of 6-8, maybe 9 or 10 chapters. Thanks for being there as the wonderful readers you truly are! Chapter 5 for you!

Kristoff was with Elsa in her private study and stood as Elsa walked around in the room with an extreme worried expression on her face.

"We've no breakthrough as David said we needed and it's five days since she disappeared. Hasn't there been anything new from the scouts" Kristoff sighed. He knew and understood Elsa's worries, but he knew that it'd do her no good to keep on this worried too.

"Not since you asked me 2 minutes ago. Look, I understand your concern, but like I've told you a dozen times already, it's not improving our situation the slightest if you don't calm down. This may be new for me, but I really trust for David to handle this. He know what he's dealing with here unlike the two of us" Elsa rolled her eyes in annoyance, but gave in and smiled at Kristoff's understanding for her situation knowing that he was Anna's boyfriend and it'd do no good if he was worried to death as well.

"I think we should see what he has done with progress. I haven't heard from his the last three days, have you?" Kristoff shook his head. He also agreed to take her to his place and see what was going on and see why he hadn't updated them all this time. He knew Elsa would need some good news if she weren't going nerve break soon.

They walked down the streets of Arendelle and saw posters all over the kingdom: "Have you seen this girl. Princess Anna of Arendelle" with a picture of Anna showing her head down to her shoulders. Kristoff could feel the tension in Elsa when she saw the posters. It was clear to Kristoff how close Elsa had gone to Anna after they started to get close again after their lost childhood.

"Don't lose hope, Elsa! We'll find her!" Kristoff said confidently as Elsa nodded and embraced him shortly to show off her gratitude towards the mountain man.

They finally arrived at the store David was keeping and Kristoff knocked hardly on the door. After 2 minutes and still no answer, Elsa walked over to the window and saw curtains that blocked all sight. Elsa thought that he wasn't home and started to get worried once again as she did very easily. She was interrupted from her own thoughts when Kristoff handed a piece of paper he apparently had found. She read it through.

Dear customer.

Sorry that I can't serve you the next hours, but I've been up for no less than 3 days in a row without any sort of sleep because of some very personal and important business I've been going on with for the past week. I need some sleep and will be ready when this is removed from the door.

Don't enter unless it's VERY IMPORTANT! As in life or death-situation

David Anderson, owner of the shop.

Elsa crept out a little tear and Kristoff turned worried towards her.

"What is it Elsa?" Elsa dried off the tear with her finger and smiled at him that seemed to surprise the mountain man.

"I'm just so grateful for him for putting all this effort and energy into this. He's been for 3 DAYS STRAIGHT!" Kristoff nodded in agreement knowing how she felt.

"That sure is something special and I think we should express some gratitude towards him whenever we'll be able to get in contact with him. Elsa turned the door knot and found out the shop door apparently wasn't closed as she thought at first. Kristoff looked suspicious at her and as she was about to walk in, Elsa felt someone holding her shoulder strongly.

"Don't you think we should let him rest? You saw the note yourself" Elsa shook her head.

"I appreciate it all truly, but I need to at least know something otherwise I'm sending out the entire army and all forces we've got!" Elsa said in her queen-demanding tone. It was clear to Kristoff that he'd not be able to talk her out of it. Elsa looked around to see if he was there and when she walked into the back room, she found him on his bed looking so peaceful that she almost couldn't find it in her heart to wake him up, but she wanted the answers so badly that she knew there'd be consequences.

"David, wake up. Please wake up, David!" Elsa begged as she shook him by the shoulder as he just turned around. Elsa began to shake him very hard and at the end, she saw his eyes slowly started to show the blue colour and as she sat on edge, she saw the tiredness showing in his eyes.

"Elsa? Is it you? I thought I put a note on the door. I knew I should had locked the door too" Elsa took her hands around his shoulder to make sure he got the point of her desperation and he seemed to be more awake when he saw the panic spreading all over her eyes.

"I'm so, so sorry David, but I feel scared and need to know what's going on and what there's to be said about all of this" David fought and fought to keep in a yawn, but it was impossible with the lack of sleep he had experienced.

"Like you saw, I've been out searching for clues most of the three days. When I wasn't, I was analysing what I managed to track. But I'm too tired now, Elsa. I understand your situation, but if you want a full picture, then I need to ask for some more hours of sleep. I'll meet you at the castle when I'm rested enough. I've putted so much into this that I'd say it's fair to ask this of you" David sounded understanding, but also firm as he knew what was needed and Elsa seemed to understand and maybe because she could sense as well that there was progress.

Elsa nodded and kissed his cheek before she walked out with Kristoff on her heels. David stroke the spot the queen had kissed him and smiled before he went back to sleep. It was a nice gesture towards him, even if he knew there was nothing like what it could be, meant with it as she was the queen and even if he liked her, he'd never have a change with the Queen of Arendelle. Even still, he wanted to tell her that he liked her at some point to make sure that he'd not rod up inside knowing that he kept his feelings to himself.

A few hours passed and as Elsa sat in her private study with Kristoff looking out for David as she had asked him to do for her. She saw Kristoff turned his attention shortly towards her with a smirk on his face.

"What's the smirk for, Kristoff?"

"You like him don't you?" Kristoff asked without taking his attention away from the window. Elsa looked wondering at her companion, not knowing what to say. Who did he refer to? Was it David she was supposed to like according to Kristoff? Did he see her kissing his cheek or whom could he be referring to?

"Who?" Elsa asked still not certain who Kristoff was referring to. Kristoff raised an eyebrow as if it was obvious and now Elsa seemed to have figured out what was going on with Kristoff and his references was trying to tell her.

"Don't be silly Kristoff. I know you probably saw me kiss his cheek, but it was a kiss of gratitude. You said it so yourself about how much he had been putting into and I wanted him to know I'm grateful. He's a sweet guy, but I'm certain that even if I saw him that way, then he'd never have that mutual feeling, so drop it already, mountain man" Elsa said a bit pissed, but Kristoff seemed to find it amusing.

He turned towards the window again and saw David was about to walk inside the castle gates.

"Speaking of which, it seems David's getting here at the very moment" Kristoff revealed as Elsa clearly sat eager to get to know where they stood at this moment. She, just more than anything, wanted to see Anna's face and her smile knowing that she was safe once again and punish the thugs who had been behind it all.

David stepped in with Kai by his side.

"Queen Elsa, David Anderson is here to talk with you and Mr Bjorgman" Elsa nodded with a smile as Kai left the three of them and Elsa asked David and Kristoff as well to sit down so they could be told what was going on.

"Thank you for coming David and thank you too for all you've done. It means so much to both me and Kristoff" Kristoff nodded to confirm Elsa's words to David and he nodded accepting the praise and gratitude.

"Please let us know what you've found out"

"I got a breakthrough. I think I know where Anna is being hidden actually" Kristoff and Elsa widen their eyes and looked as they had been waiting for years to know this one thing even if it was only a few seconds until he continued.

"Less than 2 days ago, I was walking around in the woods just below some of the small mountains just outside of Arendelle and then I saw some men walking. They were also walking as if they were guarding something or someone and then I saw a certain person that I think is involved. I don't get his name, but I heard him being giving orders to the men.

"What did he order for them to do?" Kristoff asked him interrupting.

"He said: Make sure NO ONE gets in! She's to be hidden until I get the letter for the queen!" David said and Elsa and Kristoff looked wondering of whom that could be.

"What did he look like? How was his appearance?" David looked thoughtful biting his lips as he had not seen much, but tried to recall the clear things he had been able to see from his hiding.

"I was hiding behind trees and bushes, but from what was noticeable, he was average tall, he had dark red or brown hair and sideburns and wore white gloves with a white coat with symbols of black and green with black sleeves and I also recalled some dark blue pants with black boots. That's how I remember him"

"Hans" Elsa and Kristoff said at the same time. Now they knew who was behind all of this. Elsa felt like an idiot for not figuring out sooner than now, but now she was more than just determined, she was raging within to find Anna and when she did, she was going to punish Hans in a way harder way that they'd been doing in the Southern Isles.

"I should've known that jerk was behind it all. What happened after that? Did he do anything after he left the place? Do you think you could find the place again? If, then I'm going to ask for a storming on it!" Elsa was about to stand up when David did something that shocked all of them. He grabbed her arm and sat down and stood up in front of her.

"Elsa, I heard he said if you showed up even close then they'd kill her before we'd even get within 500 feet of her. This will need some information from within it all and since he know how you and Kristoff look, I'm going to get it myself by dressing like one of them and getting close to Anna and know what to do. With some luck, we may be able to let a battle within a few days, but if we do anything too hectic, then it may cause Anna her life" David was very firm and it frighten Elsa knowing what her emotion could end up causing. She was getting more and more grateful towards David, but he was pushing her patience.

"We can't keep waiting! We have to do something!" Elsa yelled at him and David a bit taken back by the queen's outburst, but after calming himself down, knowing Elsa was crazy talking, he looked at her calmly and a bit cold.

"If you want to risk the life of your sister, it's your choice. If you do so, then I won't interfere, but if you do as I say, then I promise I'll have Anna back to you before you know it" Elsa finally nodded, giving in to his words, knowing that he had a better judgement than she had at this matter.

"Very well then. I'll get there tonight and hopefully it won't be more than 2 or 3 days before we're ready to go for her" David stood up and left Kristoff and Elsa to be excited and yet terrified for what was going to happen the upcoming night.

"He sure is bold and all to risk so much for Anna! I just wish I could help him"

"Go to him, Kristoff. Say to him that we agreed on this and see if we can assist him in any way possible" Kristoff nodded and embraced Elsa before leaving to meet up with David.

He came down to his place and knocked the door. After some time, he still heard no answer and decided to knock the door once again. This time, he could slightly hear something from the inside of the door.

"Come in, the door is open for you" Kristoff stepped inside and saw David was in the middle of changing into some special clothes that he seemed to have gotten from somewhere special.

"Do you think it's the right clothes David?" David nodded and told him he had knocked down a patrol and tied him up just behind his house and taken his clothes so he could get close to the operation.

"Elsa and I agreed to ask you if you don't think there's anything we could do to help?" David shook his head, but then he thought again if there wasn't something. Then something crossed his mind.

"Actually, I could use you and Sven's help" Kristoff smiled being happy knowing that he could help saving Anna from this nightmare that had been going on for a week now.

"I need you to be right behind me and my horse and if anything seems wrong, then get to Arendelle and get a patrol of guards with you, so tell Elsa to have some of her finest soldiers ready in case we need to take needed measures"

Kristoff nodded and shook hands with David and walked back to the castle to talk to Elsa about the situation. Elsa was thrilled when she heard that he may had been a bit cooperating and optimistic about getting Anna back well and all. Elsa called for Kai to get the captain and get his 12 best soldiers being ready at the entrance just behind the gates in case Kristoff and Sven would race down.

After that Kristoff got Sven ready and got over to get ready with David. Now it was really getting intense and both David and Kristoff could feel the tension as nightfall was close to hit the skies above Arendelle. Now it was time.
