"Please Katie, help me out here." Emily's anger at the situation was almost to the point of making her scream.

"I will not get in the middle of this. If she even knew I was talking to you I would be out on the street. And while I love you and can stand the blonde I am not moving in there. I yelled at mom and I apologized. Life goes on. That's all she wants from you, an apology."

"That will not be happening. All I want to know is when is dad there and she is not."

"Sorry. Got to go."

"Katie don't you..."

(Silence as the call drops)

"... hang up on me." Emily looked down at the 'Call End' message on her phone. "Stupid twat."

Emily stomped her way down the stairs. And she made a good showing of it. Anyone could stomp up the stairs, but down requires so much determination, effort and attention to make each foot fall heard while not ending up falling. She marched into the lounge and announced to anyone who would listen, "Stupid Katie." She looked over at a smiling Naomi and added, "Quiet. She's my sister I can say anything I want about her." She flopped into a chair and stewed for a minute.

Naomi tried to pretend she was hiding the smirk as she waited to see if Emily explained why Katie was stupid. Naomi could think of several reasons, but didn't dare share any of them.

After several minutes of quite fuming Emily raised her head and again talking to no one,"Fine I will do this on my own. Gina, could I borrow your car?"

"Of course."

"Thank you. Come on Naomi."

"What? Where are we going?"

"We are going to find my father, hopefully without Jenna. Your driving. And find some dark glasses and something to hide your hair."

"Why?"

"So that if Jenna sees you she won't know it's you. Unless you want to have a conversation with her. I don't. But if she sees you she will know I am near."

"Where are you going to be?"

"Hiding until we know the coast is clear, and then talking to my dad."

Naomi's expression showed she still didn't understand what was going on but went to find a disguise. Gina just tried to suppress her amusement as she watched the two of them.

Three weeks had mellowed some things and brought others to the surface. Emily didn't seem to cry as much. The night mares were either fading or she had stopped talking about them, and she could once again wake next to Naomi without screaming, most mornings. But she didn't seem to have a lot of patients when things didn't go her way. And when things didn't work "right" she would push until they did.

Emily was getting tired of the argument with Katie and was about ready to add her to the list of those she refused to deal with. Jenna was at the top of the list. They had not spoken since the day her mother found out she was pregnant. Word had been passed through Katie that Jenna wanted an apology for the tone of voice that had been used, and she would also need a calm discussion about what was going on and how Emily planned to fix the situation. Emily's initial response would have earned her at least 30 reps on the "naughty bar". Once she calmed down a little she asked Katie to remind Jenna, that in one sentence she had refused to accept who her daughter was and suggested it was her fault for being the victim. And that if anyone need to apologize it was Jenna. Katie was still living in her parents house so Emily was sure the message had not been delivered or had been severely edited.

Now all she wanted was to talk to her dad without Jenna around and Katie was refusing to help run interference.

Rob stepped through the front door of his home and in to the street. It had taken a while, but he was able to call the street level flat home. It wasn't as nice as their house had been nor did it have as much room, but it was a big step up from the two months spent in the caravan. The loss of their house had been a blow to Rob. Not the loss of the structure, but the change it caused to the family.

Jenna made it clear that he was to blame for the loss of the gym, the house and everything else. She hated the caravan and reminded Rob of that fact daily. Katie refused to even consider the caravan, opting to stay with Emily and then Effy. And of course Emily had been out of the house even before the forced move. He understood his girls were growing up and would be moving on, but the situation didn't even give them a place they could come "home" to, and that was what was most upsetting.

He set himself a goal to create a home for his family. It was a huge step down to go from owning a gym to cleaning one, but he did what he had to. The job wasn't much, but the owner of the small boxing club was a friend and gave Rob the chance to put things back together. Cleaning the gym and working as a conditioning coach for a few of the fighters wasn't owning but it was a start.

Rob used that chance to get Jenna, James and himself out of the caravan and into a flat that they could call home. A place the girls could return to. And Katie came home, not without a few words about the accommodations, but home to his family. Emily had not moved back, but she had until about a month ago stayed in contact; stopping in to see James and visit with her dad.

Rob understood Emily and Jenna would not do well under the same roof. They were both very strong willed and set in their opinions. And neither would yield to the other.

Having Katie home did so much to rebuilding his family, but still he missed the the younger twin. A parent was not suppose to have a favorite, but in the real world it happened. Katie had always been closer to Jenna and Emily had been the apple of her father's eye.

As he walked down the street Rob wondered again why he had not heard from Emily, and why no one would even speak her name. Obviously she and her mother were fighting again, but what was it this time. He didn't even notice the car pull up next to him.

"Rob!"

"ROB!"

He looked towards the voice and with a confused expression on his face as he tried to identify the person driving the car.

"Naomi?"

"Get in," she replied.

"Naomi, it's 30 degrees out here why are you waring that stocking cap?"

"Get in the car and you can ask your daughter."

"I have to go to work."

"We'll drive you, please get in."

A perplexed Rob got in the the front passenger seat. Naomi nodded towards the back seat as she pulled away. Looking into the back he was greeted by the smiling face of his younger daughter laying down in the back seat. "Hi dad."

"Emily. What is going on?"

"I wanted to talk to you, but I just couldn't deal with mom."

"Em, I wish you two could get a long."

"I know, but I just can't apologize this time."

He looked deep into her eyes and decided not to push. "What did you want to talk about?"

"Naomi could you stop at the park? Daddy would you walk with me?"

Naomi stopped the car, the three of them got out and started walking across the park. She let the father/daughter pair get a few steps ahead of her, and then she stopped and watched them as they walked. The closeness between the two was obvious to any the cared to look. Her first thought was of jealousy for the relationship Emily had with her dad, something she had never had. Then she felt guilty for not standing next to her holding her hand through this. She keep telling herself this was something Emily had to do on her own, so she just watched as the pair walked slower and slower. She could see a divide begin to form between almost as if Rob was being pushed back by her words.

He looked away from his daughter with tears in his eyes, and at some point could only hear her voice and not her words. When she stopped talking he turned and walked away, without looking at her or speaking to her. This couldn't be happening to his daughter. So it couldn't possibly be real. He looked at but didn't see Naomi as he walked past her, he just kept moving. Someone was calling out to him, but he didn't really hear them.

As Emily stood and called to her dad, Naomi moved next to her and took her hand. She slowly lead the redhead towards the car, as they passed a rubbish bin Emily stopped, steadied herself against the can and leaned over and threw up into it. The action shocked Naomi. At first she thought it might just be nerves, but as she looked Emily over, the redhead did not look well.

"Come on lets go home." She lead her to the car, seated her up front, and then spent more time watching Emily them the road as she drove home. As they were walking from the car to the front door Emily was again sick. A now packed Naomi helped her up the steps and through the door. "Mom! Help please. Emily is sick."

The concern and fear in her voice brought Gena to the door in a hurry. "Naomi, what's wrong?"

"She just threw up, twice."

Gena looked at her in the face and asked "Did you eat any thing new or different today?" Emily shook here head no. "Did you find your dad?" She nodded yes. "I take it it did not go well?" Again Emily shook her head no. Leading the way she called back, "help her into the kitchen."

Naomi got her seated at the table and then went for a wash cloth for Emily's face, while Gena fixed her a weak cup of tea and a plate of milk toast. The blonde looked at the food with a confused look and then up at her mother.

Gena just smiled in return. "Morning sickness. It doesn't only happen in the morning and stress can make it worse."

"Are you sure?"

"We will give her a little time after she eats, if she doesn't feel better then we can talk about a trip to A & E. Okay?" looking at Naomi and getting a unconvinced nod of agreement. She then turned to Emily and repeated, "Okay?" Her nod was a little more convincing.

"For three week you called me twice a day, now for three days nothing. If your pouting, I swear Em..."

"Take a breath Katie, before you pass out from lack of oxygen."

The sound of Naomi's voice from Emily's phone caused the older twin to pause just long enough to make sure she had called the correct number, once that had been confirmed she started into it again. "Why are you answering my sister's phone? Does she have you screening her calls? If I have to come over there and knock some since into you two..."

"Katie! Give it a break. I don't need your want-a-be tough girl act. I am getting worried about Emily."

"What's wrong with her?" the belligerence in her voice was replaced with concern.

"She has been in bed for the last three days, wont talk to anyone. If I didn't bring her food I don't think she would eat. I don't remember her saying a thing since she talked to your dad."

"That explains the sulking he has been doing. Those two, you would think they would grow up at some point. When they get upset at each other the rest of the world can just pack it in.

"So what do we do?"

"We get them together and let them talk it out, or make them if necessary. Do you know where the park is near us?"

"Yes, but that is where they had their last conversation. Do know the club soccer pitch over this way?"

"Naomi, think about what you just asked. Of course I know the club pitch. Meet you there in two hours. And for the record, it's not want-a-be or an act. Remember that Blondie."

Naomi put the phone down and climbed the stairs to their room. She paused a moment at the door, bit her lower lip and proceeded on with the task at hand. Emily stirred just enough as the door opened for the blonde to know she was awake. Naomi went over to the window and opened the shades allowing the sunlight to spill into the room, next she pulled the covers back receiving an angry look from the redhead hiding beneath.

"Come on Emily, I need the change the bed and you need a shower."

Emily just looked at her for a moment, and then gave in, not willing to expend the effort to fight about it. Naomi smiled at her as she trudged past and then started pulling the sheets off the bed. By the time she returned Naomi had changed the bedding and laid out fresh cloths for Emily. This earned her another cross look but Naomi took it in stride.

"Get dressed and come on, we'll go down to the pitch and heckle the club team while they practice. Besides, you and this room could stand some time away from each other."

It wasn't the way Emily had planned to spend her day, not that she even had a plan. Naomi had been so nice and so patient while she wallowed in her self-pity, she just couldn't bring herself to argue with the blonde. So with one last act of defiance she dropped the wet towel on the fresh bed and got dressed. Naomi grabbed the towel and put it away before it could become an issue. Emily smiled at her as she walked away and whispered "Thank you," more to herself then her girlfriend.

"Your welcome," came the equally soft reply.

They arrived at the field to find it deserted. "I guess they are not practicing today."

"Naom, do I look that gullible? I guess we are meeting someone so where are they?"

Shrugging her shoulders and shaking her head just enough to cause her hair to move, "The bleachers?"

They walked around to the front and found two people sitting two rows up. Emily took one look at Katie and their dad and started to turn away. Katie was not having any more of it and stood as she spoke.

"Emily stop! I don't have the time or the patients to write you another letter, so just come back here, sit down and talk to your father."

The words made the younger twin pause, and then give into the request. She reluctantly climbed the bleachers and sat next to Rob. "You too Blondie. You seam to be family now so no reason you shouldn't be miserable with the rest of us."

The tone that Katie used set Naomi on edge, but at the same time telling her that she was part of the family made her heart soar. She climbed up and sat on the other side of Emily.

Katie address the two of them as if they were small children. "I don't know what the issue is between you two, and I don't need to know. You just need to hug and make up. Your spoiling life for the rest of us." Having said her piece Katie returned to her seat.

Rob looked down at his feet and held a hand out in front of his youngest daughter. Emily slipped her hand into her father's. "Em, I am so sorry for the way I acted. I couldn't accept that something so horrible had happened to you and that I couldn't be there to protect you. Then I felt to guilty about the way I acted."

"I was afraid you were mad at me and thought it was my fault too."

"No Emily, never. Something like that should never happen to any one lest of all my little girl. I didn't know what to do, I guess I ran from it. I am sorry." He wrapped he arm around her and held her tight. "I love you Emily, I always will no matter what. What can I do to help you?"

"Well daddy, there is one more part of this I need to tell you... you are going to be a grandpa."

"What!"

"I am pregnant, and I am keeping the baby."

"Emily are you sure?"

"Yes dad. Naomi and I have talked it through and we are keeping it."

Rob cast a questing look at Naomi, who flinched under his gaze. "It was her decision, and I support her what ever she chooses."

"I am going to hold you to that Naomi."

"You can sir."

"I guess it's 'dad'."

"Thank you sir... dad."

Katie stood and waved Naomi to join her, "Come on Naomi we'll give them a moment, and we can discus the family pecking order and how far down it you fall."

"Katie..." Rob's tone was a warning that left little unsaid.

"Just kidding." She leaned close to Naomi and whispered, "mostly."
