AN: Sorry guys, this one is a little short.

I woke up quickly, almost hitting my head against a wall in a rush to work out my surroundings. I refused to allow myself even the smallest fear that I was taken by Lucifer. I breathed out in relief when my eyes finally unblurred and I was back in my bedroom (pre-apocalyptic, mind you) with a dim light outside. I assumed it was the streetlights and smiled lightly when I threw back the curtains to find the moon smiling back at me (not literally though, that would be too creepy for eve me to handle). The next thought that came to my mind was 'Dean!'. I slammed my bedroom door open, no care for other sleeping residents, scrambled down the stairs and launched myself through the front door. After a quick look round and seeing no croats (thank god) I carried on down the path, only stopping at the sight of Dean and a trench-coated man deep in conversation at the edge of the road, Dean's hand on the scruffy looking dude's shoulder. I wasn't looking or caring about that though, as I sprinted towards them, Dean's name on my lips. I promptly proceeded to hug the ever-loving shit out of him, not caring about the other man just yet. After a slap round the back of the head to Dean and a grin in reply I turned to the other man, not needing an introduction.

"You must be Castiel. Nice to see you less high and more… well dressed." I said, earning a huff of laughter from Dean and a sideways glance from the angel. I didn't give him a chance to open his mouth before pulling him into a bone crushing hug, hoping to whatever is out there that he won't have to become the man I met before in his place. He deserves that and so does Dean. Letting him go, I turned to Dean, who was looking on in a fond yet amused glance. Castiel, however, looked rather confused and flustered.

"OK, I think he feels a little violated right now." Dean muttered, earning a chuckle from me and a narrowed glance from the angel.

"I have places to be. Goodbye Dean, AJ." Cas nodded, before a flutter of wings and he was gone. I can see what everyone was talking about when they said he needed a few social skills, but I'd rather this guy than the drug addicted broken man in his future. Dean walked over to a sleek black car, rubbing the hood affectionately before opening the door and climbing in. He looked over, a light smirk adorning his features.

"So… You coming?" I laughed, walking over to the car and jumping in the passenger seat.

"Hell yeah I am! You boys need someone to help you stop the apocalypse!" I replied.

"Good, but we have someone else to meet first."

We stood under the bridge, looking out towards the motorway. Soon enough a (rather crappy if I say so myself) car veered off towards us, before a frighteningly familiar figure walked towards us. It would take a while to convince myself this wasn't the devil. Dean promptly man-hugged his brother, before the pair turned to me, light eyes and relaxed faces.

"Who is-" Sam began, before I slapped him in the face.

"What the hell dude? Next time you feel like a thrill do me a favour and get in a roller coaster instead of taking a ride with the devil. And don't you ever – Ever- leave your brother again. I have no fear of beating your overgrown ass." I threatened, waving a fist in his face. It was probably an entertaining sight, an extremely short girl threatening an overgrown giant. The older Winchester just watched in mirth as his younger stared at him in alarm.

"This is AJ, apparently my new bodyguard." Dean said, to which I winked.

"So… what even happened?" Sam asked. I sighed, not sure if either of us was ready to share the story.

"Long story. We'll tell you in the car." Dean said, "Meanwhile, we have places to go."

"Like where?" Sam asked, getting into the back of the impala, long limbs folding in on themselves to fit.

"To Bobby's" Dean and I said in unison.

AN: Just the prologue and then we're finished. So why did AJ go to the future?
