Fumbling with the keys to lock the door, I quickly ran out the hallway and tried to find F-2, but I knew I was completely lost much to my frustration. My first day here and I find myself lost.
"Excuse me," I gave a small shriek of surprise and quickly stepped back and whipped my head towards the source of the voice to realize it was just a girl who looked older than me. And she was really pretty wearing white clothing, had bright red eyes full of mischief, raven hair with a small portion of her hair curled up, and she was holding a watch on her hand. She studied me a little while, a bit suspicious until her eyes widened in realization. "Oh! You must be the new student Daisy!"
"Y-Yes! That's me, how do you know?" I asked curiously, staring at her while the pretty girl giggled mischievously as she gave me a wink.
"I can smell that new smell on you." I looked at her like she was crazy, which she may be, as she chuckled. "Ah, excuse my rudeness. My name is Kala and I'm a senior witch so if you have any questions or need any help with anything just call me up and I'll help you the best way I can!"
She then gave me a peace sign which I blinked at as I gave her an unsure smile. I really didn't know what to think of her, but I guess we could get along. She seems nice enough. It was then I remembered something.
"A-Ah, K-Kala-Sempai!" "Just call me Kala!" "R-Right, Kala, can you point to me where F-2 is?"
Kala blinked at me. "F-2? You have Miss Trea?" I nodded while Kala started to pout. "Aw man, you're so lucky! I would kill to have her be my teacher again! Oh, her class is just right down this hallway! You'll find it! I have to go now, Teach is going to get mad at me for being late to class once again! It's been nice meeting you Daisy, bye!"
With that, I watched Kala run down the hallway, stopped for a minute and turned to give me one final wave, before she disappeared from my sight as I stood there blinking before I turned back around to find the class. But as I delved deeper into hallways, I passed many rooms that were strangely quiet with no talking except for whispers coming deep from the hallway.
Looking around my surroundings, I had a feeling that all these classes were all empty. But I guess I shouldn't be surprise, the eras of the witches were slowly coming to an end and no one was interested in learning the arts of magic anymore. They were all interested in something new and different, which kind of made me sad. I never thought to see the day to see the eras of witches dwindling down so fast, I would've at least thought that it would last a couple of decades or so.
About to take another step, I gave another shriek when a fireball just suddenly burst through the wooden door and smashed into the brick wall, but it was quickly distinguished as I heard Miss Trea scolding someone.
"Becky! How many times have I warned you not to use your fire inside the classroom?" Miss Trea scolded rather harshly, making me flinch. She sounded so different and so much scarier. "You do know that's coming out of your tuition right?"
"I know Miss Trea! But I couldn't help it, that stupid fly was bothering me again and I had no choice but to do that!" Someone whined, "I know it's bad to use magic for something like this and using it for useless violence, but it just kept buzzing around me! It got on my nerves!"
Suddenly I saw a girl poke her head out of the door, staring at the broken door that lay burned and scorched on the ground, and before she returned back she turned her head towards me and blinked. She had shoulder-length orange hair, the brightest green eyes I have ever seen, and greenish-white wings. For a while we stared at each other until she suddenly yelled, "The new student is here!"
I was a bit shock for a while, just standing there while the orange hair girl stood in front of the door waiting impatiently for me. "Well, are you coming in or what? We don't have all day ya know."
I shook my head. "Ah, sorry! Yea, I'm coming!"
The orange hair girl smiled at me and returned back inside the classroom. For a while I looked around at the classroom. It was nice inside, the walls were painted bright white with a hint of pink, the floor was wooden of course with slight burn marks, there were at least two wide windows to my right where it showed the forest and beyond it I could see the outline of the town, two bookshelves were in the back, and in front was a chalk board with magic spells writing on them and a long desk with Miss Trea was standing beside it. Oh, and I noticed that there was only fifteen desk here but only four occupied it, surprising me greatly.
Smiling, I greeted them with a small bow before I stood up straight to take a good look at my new classmates.
There was the girl with orange hair and wings who was smiling at me, and open book opened in front of her though she didn't even take a small glance at it as she kept staring at me with a slight curious look in her eyes.
She then looked at the silver hair girl on the left side of the orange hair girl. Her long silver locks reached her almost to her thighs and the most unusual but beautiful feature of her was her eyes. She had golden eyes bright as the sun and she didn't have any pupils, and currently the silver haired girl was staring at Daisy with slight curiosity before offering her a smile.
On the right of the girl with orange hair was a girl no older than her. She had black hair tied into two pigtails by two red satin ribbons. She had crimson eyes with a tint of pink and leaning against her desk was her cannon like wand with two chains trailing from the top, and from the hole I can see a thin trail of smoke rising from it, no doubt she was the one who burned the door down. And not only that, I noticed that she was wearing a cat ear headband. Blinking before turning to me, she gave me a small grin and a small wave which I returned with a small wave of my own shyly.
I then looked at the back where I saw a girl all alone. She was shyly twiddling her fingers when she saw me looking at her next. Her blond hair reached her waist, and had dark magenta eyes. She then started to fix her barrette she wore on her head. And it was then she gave me a meek smile before returning to read her open book while writing things down in her notebook.
"Hey there new kid!" Becky, who I assume is the one who burned the door down, greeted happily. "Welcome to Witch Academy! Hope you don't back down like the last girl did. She was nothing but a complete pansy!"
"Becky," Miss Trea scolded Becky, who huffed and crossed her arms before pouting. "Ahem, welcome to our classroom Daisy. Excuse Becky's behavior, but she means well. Class, can you introduce yourself?"
Before anyone could speak, Becky stood up with a big smile as she pointed to herself with her chest puffed out proudly. "My name is Becky! My specialty is fireball magic! I love fire, the sun, fireplace, anything to do with fire! What I don't like is the water poured onto me when I do magic, that's just rude!"
"Becky," Miss Trea sighed while Becky sat down with a small smile while looking up at her. "You don't have to tell Daisy your likes or dislikes. You could have just told her your name."
"I know, but I think it's better if she gets to know us better like that, you know?" Becky said, smiling at me as I smiled back at her before turning my attention to the girl with wings as she stood.
"Hello Daisy! My name is Chliara and I specialize on wind energy! I can only attack enemies in the skies… Though I can't particularly fly… But I will fly one day once I get matured! So just you wait!"
Soon the girl with the silver hair stood up and bowed to me slightly. "My name is Nicola, a pleasure to meet you Daisy. I specialize on ice magic, so it enables me to freeze enemies."
She sat back down, and Miss Trea and I looked towards Chloe who was still sitting on her desk, not looking up at me as I could see a small blush on her cheeks. Miss Trea giggled before sighing as she glanced at me.
"Chloe is a bit shy as you can see Daisy." Miss Trea said, smiling. "But she specializes on paralyzing enemies with her thunder energy."
Suddenly Becky clapped her hands causing everybody to look at her. "Okay! Everyone has introduced themselves, but you haven't yet Daisy."
"R-Right!" I nodded before I smiled at them. "I'm Daisy, and I specialize on earth energy! I'm not very good at long ranges and spells, but I'm not totally useless! I'm fast enough so I won't let any enemies pass by me!"
They all smiled at me as Miss Trea assigned me to my seat, which was behind Becky who smiled at me before she was forced to turn back around.
"Class, since today is Wednesday you know what today is." Miss Trea said happily.
The entire class was smiling except me. I didn't know what was going on. To my surprise everyone yelled the same thing. "Spell Practice!"
"Correct!" Miss Trea said. I raised my hand. "Yes Daisy?"
"Um… What's spell practice?"
Suddenly Miss Trea and the others all snickered at me, causing me to just stare at them with curiousity.
"Don't worry Daisy, you'll find out soon enough."
