After the announcement of Spell Practice, the class quickly went through the hallways and towards outside. And through the whole walk, Becky started to babble about how excited she was about Spell Practice, everyone around her rolling their eyes while Daisy looked at her with awed eyes.
"I love everything about Spell Practice!" Becky squealed, her eye sparkling. "It's practically my favorite activity! I can practice any of my spells without Miss Trea scolding me! Well... Most of the time anyway."
"What do you do in Spell Class?"
Before Becky could proudly explain to Daisy, Nicola spoke. "It's as the name implies. We learn and practice spells. We practice every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday."
"What do we do on Tuesday and Thursday?" Daisy asked curiously while Becky pouted in the background, crossing her arms as she looked away with a loud huff.
"Well, it depends." This time it was Miss Trea who spoke. "Sometimes we take quest from the quest board at town. Sometimes we practice with a simulation of battling against monsters. And sometimes, just go out to town for educational purposes."
"Wow!" Now Daisy was excited, she couldn't wait for tomorrow to come! And seeing the pink-haired girl excited, Becky smiled and ruffled her hair. "Focus on the training first kid, because you'll be the first one to see my super-awesome fire spell I've been coming up!"
At that Nicola raised a brow. "You mean the super-awesome fire spell that keeps backfiring on you? The very same one that blew up your room last week?"
"Isn't that the also same one that blew you up two days ago?" Chiara asked as well.
Even Chloe couldn't help but also add in, "A-And d-didn't your spell b-blow up y-your s-s-sister y-yesterday?"
Becky bristled, huffing again as she crossed her arms. "I get it! My spell blows up a lot! But I just know it, this time my super-awesome fire spell will work!"
Nicola couldn't help but roll her eyes. "Sure, sure... But can you please change the name? Don't you think it's a mouthful? And very childish?"
"Heh!" Flicking her nose, Becky grinned widely. "I've already got a name for it! You're just going to have to wait for that until I complete the spell though, hope you're not to disappointed that I couldn't tell you~"
"I honestly could care less."
"Hmp!"
"Now, now you two." Miss Trea laughed, amusement dancing through her eyes as they reached the giant doors that lead to the back back. "Stop your bickering, or if you do want to continue bickering do it outside. But for now, it's time for Spell Class!"
Pushing open the door using a bit of her magic, Daisy couldn't help but gape at the feel of her magic. Miss Trea's magic felt a little strange, but it made Daisy comfortable and safe. Then Daisy couldn't help but gasp even louder, the back of the castle was just amazing!
There were lush, grass lands as the eye could see. The sky was beautiful with fluffy clouds filling the air, and a cool wind brushed past them. It was such a perfect day! Maybe one day Daisy could have a picnic on one of the hills under a shady tree with her friends. Though soon she was pulled out of thought when Becky grabbed her hand, gave her a grin and started to drag her away from the others and somewhere far from the castle, but where she could still see it and the others, who were now going to their own training spots. But she could see Chloe staying with Miss Trea as they seemed to be in very deep conversation.
"Hey Daisy!" Once again being pulled out from her thoughts, she looked at Becky who was now holding her wand, which was glowing a soft red on the top. "Watch and be amazed by my super-awesome fire spell! Let's go!"
Fire started roaring from the top of her wand, and it was then Daisy could feel Becky's magic. It was fiery and passionate and warm, just like Becky. Her attention then shifted to Becky, who seemed to be concentrating her magic into the wand, but as the fireball got bigger Becky continued holding it before finally she threw it to the air. Becky cried, "LET'S GO! Super-awesome fire spell-"
Suddenly it exploded. Both Becky and Daisy gave a shriek as they ran all over, trying to run from the flying fire, and luckily they were able to escape unscathed. Becky groaned and sank to her knees.
"Agggh! Why can't I get this right?! I made sure to use the perfect amount of Mp! I made sure to concentrate enough to keep the fire going! I made sure everything would be perfect! I thought today was going to be the day! So why?!"
"H-Have you tried asking Miss Trea?" Daisy asked tentively, crouching next to Becky in an effort to comfort her. Becky gave a depressed sigh. "I... No, I wanted to do this by myself. I've worked so hard, and I want to make Miss Trea proud of me that I was able to do it after all these weeks of trying... Maybe this spell is just a fail..."
"No it isn't!" Daisy exclaimed. "You saw what you did, right? You made the fireball explode into tiny more fireballs that was able to destroy a bit of the surroundings! Look!"
And to prove her point, Daisy pointed towards the grounds where they almost burned themselves in, and Becky was wide eyed to see a few dirty spots with smoke rising from it. The damage wasn't as big as Becky had wanted it to be, but she knew that this kind of damage could hurt multiple enemies.
Daisy grinned seeing the gears turn in Becky's mind. "It may had almost hurt us, but you need just a bit more practice, and this spell will be perfect!"
"Daisy..." Becky couldn't help but let a small smile come before she hugged the pinkette. "Thank you, and you're right! Just a little it more practice and it'll be perfect! It isn't quite what I had expected it to be. I was hoping for a giant fireball to fall into the ground so it can defeat an enemy in one move. But this works too! I now have a bunch of tiny fireballs!"
"That's right!" Daisy grinned.
As the two girls got up, Becky dusted her dress up and looked at Daisy. "Thanks for the help Daisy, but I think you should start working on your spells now. I want to work on this spell by myself."
"Alright, see ya later Becky!"
"Bye Daisy!"
As Daisy walked away, she went to find her own spot while looking at her fellow witches, and she couldn't help but be amazed by them.
Nicola was surrounded by floating ice as she kept throwing them towards her target, two dummies of straw and wood. And the more she used her ice, the more she was making, but Daisy could see she was getting tired.
Chiara was doing some acrobatic moves like flips and tumbles all the while thrusting her spear up in the air at imaginary enemies, a burst of wind bursting from the tip of her wand. 'She fast,' Daisy thought, 'but not as fast as me!'
And Chloe was still with Miss Trea, but she seemed to be also practicing her as her wand glowed golden on the top, around her crackling electricity with Miss Trea smiling and nodding at Chloe with approval.
"Alright!" Smiling widely, Daisy's wand glowed a soft brown. "I'll do my best! Energy Ball!"
