IMPORTANT UPDATE (will be deleted once a new chapter is posted)
Ok, guys, so I normally never do this, but considering the fact that my activity has been so sporadic lately, I figured it was only fair to let you all know what's up.
First of all, I am posting this exact same update on all four of my currently active stories: We Are the Crystal Gems, Light and Shadow, Hyrule Warriors, and Twisted Fates. Just thought I'd get that out of the way first.
Secondly, NO this is not me announcing that I'm quitting ANY of these stories by ANY means! I would never dream of doing that to you guys. After all, my heart is still stirring with ideas for all of these, however I have hit a few bumps in the road that I thought you all should know about, which will keep me away from writing for an unknown, but most likely extended period of time.
The first of these is college. This year more than last, I have been SUPER busy, and we're barely even a few weeks in. My writing time has been greatly diminished, as has my overall desire to write. I'm not the kind to try and force something out simply because I feel as though I have to. I will not write a chapter until I get that spark that will help me make it the best it can be. And because of college and the workload thrust upon me, i just haven't been getting that spark lately. The desire to write, at least for the time being, is gone.
The second of these issues I can blame on my laptop. Just last week it decided to quit on me once and for all for no apparentn reason, and though I have the warranty still on it, it will take quite a while to get it fixed (which of course doesn't make my college situation any better). For now, all I have to rely on is my iPad, which I REALLY don't like writing too much on as its incredibly tedious work. So hopefully once my laptop gets fixed, I can at least begin carving away some new chapters, but at least until then, I don't think I'll be doing much writing.
My final reason is a rather selfish one that comes from my own desire to take a break from conventional writing and focus my efforts on a more... creative project instead. It might not come as a shock to some of you that I'm a huge fan of Steven Universe (heck, I'm posting this in my SU story too so) and Gravity Falls, almost as much as I am a huge Zelda fan. Lately these two shows have been booming with exciting new content, (while the Zelda fandom has been rather... lackluster (save for the new HW Legends announcements) and I have found myself inspired more by these two shows than anything Zelda. Which is why I decided to put my drawing skills to good use for once and start a crossover comic of these two, entitled Universe Falls! Now, I've already posted a few parts of this comic to Tumblr, so if you'd like to check it out, you can find the link to my blog on my profile. However, how this pertains to my writing is that I am putting my writing off for a while in part to work on this comic. I know its selfish, but I really do have a flame in my heart for this idea, and I believe in jumping on an idea as soon as it comes (which is actually how many of my stories here came to be).
And so, I want to stress above all else that while this is a hiatus it will NOT be forever! I will return eventually, I promise, and when I do it will be AWESOME! But for now, I just thought it would be nice for me to properly inform you all on the current state of things. I cannot thank you all enough for your kind support in the forms of reviews, follows, and favorites! You all are seriously the reason why I write and I will do my best in the future to bring you great stories we can all enjoy. THANK YOU!
