Hazel's Parents

The sorrow fills our hearts at night

and often, we cry with all our might

just as though we had

lost our very own lad

and then the moon shines very bright.

00

We get up to go and sit on the porch

it's like our joy has been lowered a notch

and we sit there, just

so we shall not burst

and then the moon becomes a torch.

00

Many a times, we wished

for life to be good, but oh, such pish!

so then we go back,

but a boy Hazel lacks,

and then the moon is extinguished.
