Ichigo walked into class a few minutes early, to see his friends Orihime, Chad, Uryuu, and Rukia all gathered, discussing various topics. To his relief, Keigo was absent on some family matter or other. All Ichigo cared was that he wouldn't have Keigo crawling over his girlfriend. "How is it just now I'm realizing how many perverted people are acquainted with me?" Ichigo thought to himself as Orihime called out to him. "Hey, Ichigo, we were just talking about you!" Knowing this discussion was most likely on his visit to Hueco Mundo, he wandered over to confirm his suspicions. " Rukia had told us-" Uryuu had started, but was abruptly interrupted by the ring of the bell.
"I guess we will discuss this later." Uryuu remarked to Ichigo as the students took to their desks.
"Class," the instructor publicly stated, "We have a new student today! Her name is Neliel Tu Od-" The instructor had difficulty pronouncing her last name, but was saved further embarrassment by Nel, "Odelschvank. But I would prefer just being called Nel. It's a pleasure to meet you all." Uryuu, Chad, Orihime, and Rukia almost jumped in their seats in shock, as they realized that this new student was the former tres Espada. She bowed and took to her desk, conveniently adjacent to Ichigo's. Classes seemed to pass swiftly, the school day ending remarkably early in Nel and Ichigo's perspective.
Nel and Ichigo had been departing school when Ichigo's friends approached them, each one with their guards up, as they still did not trust Nel. "So, the former tres Espada has managed to get into the World of the Living, and the Soul Society is ignorant of her presence." Uryuu bitterly remarked, while readjusting his glasses. "Actually, she was processed by the Central 46 before she was allowed access to this world, I know as I escorted the two." Rukia corrected. Just then, several high level hollows appeared, and within an instant, Rukia, Neliel, and Ichigo had gone into their soul forms, and the others prepared their defenses.
The group split up into three teams, each one following one of the readings. Nel and Ichigo went for the largest reading, since they were most likely the most powerful duo throughout existance. Chad paired up with Uryuu, which left Rukia and Orihime as the 3rd team. Nel and Ichigo encountered the hollow they were hunting early on, although neither actually knew what the beast looked like, as they sliced through the being before even taking in its appearance. Chad and Uryuu actually had two mid-level hollows; Chad obliterated his opponent with a single blow, and Uryuu was surprised as the hollow he faced managed to survive by the very strings of its life, and he finished it off with a single kick. Orihime and Rukia had more issues facing the hollow they were hunting, as it attacked with speed. Orihime had been scraped by a blow, nothing more than a light bruise formed as she had dodged almost perfectly. The beast charged head-first at her again, to slam dead into one of her barriers, and Rukia finished the hollow with a clean slice through its center.
After the brief encounter with the beings, they all met at a cafe, where Nel, who had far more money than the rest of them combined, bought drinks for her new friends and her Itsygo. She took a liking most to Orihime, with her kind personality. As the group split up to their own homes, Chad overheard Rukia say under her breath, "I wonder if Renji was any romantic feelings towards me."
