Chapter 16: A New World
The sun rose from the east, like always. But that was the only thing same as yesterday. The sun rose to another day. With fires, explosives, human lives wasted on streets. Home invasions, random murders, destruction of buildings, of homes, of schools. The city was declared under emergency lockdown. The news were exploding on all channels, some said dozens of criminals were on loose, other said it's Al-Qaeeda's new mission. The city was slipping away into hell.
All this time, all available police force was employed on duty to physically chase down the people responsible for a sudden crime attack. The U.S Army marched their way into the battlefield with all latest equipments to put an end to the terror.

This house was empty. Perfect for the professor to reside in. He locked all doors and windows and turned the TV on in some stranger's abandoned house. The city was on high alert, everyone was advised to stay in their homes, no school, no University, no work today for anyone. No one knew who exactly was behind so much crime all a sudden. No one but FBI.
The professor removed his earpiece and threw it aside. He didn't needed it no more. The clones were good at their task and their lives were created to destroy. The army was eventually going to kill them. The news flashed screens of chaos, of local coffee shops, of dead bodies lying on the streets. This was not USA but a warzone like somewhere remote in Afghanistan. Professor felt sad doing things the wrong way. But, this was the only way to have the government accept his research, his findings and allow human cloning. The world needed to know that death was not the end. He could bring all these people back, all these police officers, all Army officials, all FBI agents, mothers, sisters, teachers, even the clones could return back to live. Brain could be killed, medulla oblongata could be severed but the DNA just doesn't die. Death should not be feared after this, professor thought.

Rossi entered the secret room with Reid. He needed him here despite how close he just escaped death. The clone sat alone in the corner of the room. He stood up, clearing his tears away. He was tired of trying to contacting his Professor, who just wasn't answering him anymore. He heard no voices in his ear anymore. Was his connection lost? He looked to see Dr. Reid standing before him, stern looks and bruised forehead. He escaped the lab.
The shock was clear in clone's eyes, Rossi's noticed.
"Reid, I'm so happy to see you okay" Clone started to pretend again.
"I don't understand why FBI is after me when I'm the leader of my group" He went on.
"Reid, do you really think I can shoot Morgan? What's wrong with everyone?" He spoke on, frustrated at silence displayed by the agents. Did they know now? Dr. Reid sure knew something returning back from the lab. He gulped down the fear.
"Why am I here when I should be working with you guys in cracking this case?" Clone went on. Rossi suddenly smashed his hands on the table shocking the clone.
"Stop!" Rossi yelled "Your act is over"
"What..." Clone asked, sweating with fear "Dave, for God's sake stop framing me already!"
"Agent Rossi, my name is Agent Rossi" Rossi answered.
"Where's your so called creator right now?" Rossi asked.
"HUH?" Clone panicked staring back at Dr. Reid.
"I know he establishes connection with his clones by surgically attaching communication devices in the ear canal" Reid spoke up. The clone went numb.
"I'M HOTCH DAMN IT!" Clone yelled falling back on the chair behind him in frustration. His battle was lost.
"In fact, the professor might be able to even view this right now. He has small cameras attached behind your eyes powered by neuronal energy" Reid went on.
"Where is he now?" Rossi asked grinding his teeth as he stared back at the fallen clone.
"I-I can't.."
"WHERE!" Rossi yelled and in anger flipped the placed table aside, smashing it on the wall of the secret room. The clone shivered in fear.
"I don't understand" Clone tried to reply.
"Just contact the professor like how you always used to do" Reid explained. Clone looked down in despair. He was trapped. The smart doctor knew everything now.
"I can't contact him anymore"

He ran faster than possible with the wound still healing, with head still spinning, with empty stomach still howling but he didn't stop. His feet were bare, sliding in mud, in green grass of open field. Hotch couldn't look back this time. The sun was hidden behind clouds, it could rain any moment. And a twisted bush altered his running and he fell hard on the ground. A loud explosive filled his every sense. It made the cloudy day turn into night. The blazing fire reached the sky as smoke followed it closely. The heat slapped Hotch from miles away. The building collapsed before his eyes. His eyes couldn't believe that moments ago he was still trapped inside there. A little mistake, a little delay in a moment of time could have engulfed him in destruction. His heart threatened to rip out so he laid back, breathing heavy, trying to gather his life back.
