A/N- So, yup. First request! Guest wanted Lei :).
Keep the request coming! Enjoy.
Lei smirked as she stared her down. Grinning, she took a hesitant step forward. Slowly, and calculated to be timed perfectly. As soon as the older woman saw her move, she swung her staff.
"Melaya, now!" She yelled, blocking her mothers attacks. From her shoulder, the snake sprung.
She didn't bite, just jumped. Distracting her effectively. Meilin flailed at the snake jumping and coiling loosely around her own shoulders. Giving Lei her golden opportunity to start the exhausting, non-stop offense she had her spirit animal had been perfecting. As hard as Meilin tried, she could not stop the assault. And was backed almost in a wall. Seeing her defeat, she raised her hands to signal surrender.
At this, Lei stood tall and beamed at her mothers proud smile. They gave eachother a halfhearted bow. Ending their training.
"You improving, Lei. I'm proud. Not that I wouldn't have been." Meilin told her. Nodding, Lei dropped to the ground. Extending a hand.
Melaya slithered silently up her arm, onto her neck. The girl let the smooth scales run along her cheek for a flash of a second- one of the few forms of affection they had developed in their short six months. Lei had commonly wished for the close bond her mother had with her Jhi, or the trust her father and Essix had. But she was more then happy with Melayas simply calming presence.
"It's not me, Mom. I owe a lot to Melaya." She admitted. "I-I don't know what I'd do without her."
And she truly didn't.
