Leave reviews they make me SMILE.
She woke up in a cold sweat as she felt someone sitting at the end of her bed. Her heat began racing out of her chest only to see the man she loved at the foot of her bed. "Fitz." She cursed before exhaling deeply. "You scared the shit out of me!"
"Good morning to you too." He chuckled sarcastically. "Why were you expecting someone else?"
After her phone call with Quinn last night, Olivia could officially say she was. Quinn's words had hit her like a ton of bricks. She had done some foul things, and hung around with some even fouler people, and now Charlie was after her. Despite the fact that her number was changed, Olivia no longer felt safe in Sarasota.
"Whats wrong?" He asked seeing as Olivia looked deep in thought; she looked lost almost.
"I... Something happened last night."
"What?"
"Quinn called me. She and Huck left."
Fitz arched his brows, scooting closer to her. "Tell me what was said."
Olivia did just that, and after retelling the conversation word by word, she could tell Fitz was not only hurt, but angry.
"So what? You're just gonna leave me?" He hissed angrily with stormy grey eyes. How on earth had they gone from I love you's? to Olivia flying across the Atlantic Ocean.
"Fitz I did some bad stuff... Some illegal stuff. Stuff that I could go to jail for."
He'd never seen her look so scared and meek. Her once bright eyes were now sad and dull, and her confident demeanour was now replaced with a solemn and frightened one. She was scared.
"Liv..."
"I'm going to call my parents. Hopefully I can get a flight out either tomorrow or the day after." She couldn't bring herself to look him in the eye. After all, this was all her fault. If she had never taken the drugs, or even hung out with them; none of this would be happening right now.
"So you're leaving me?" He said with humourless chuckle. "I tell you I love you, and you leave."
"Fitz this is my safety we're talking about here."
"I know."
As much as it would kill him, if this Charlie character was as crazy as Quinn said, it was in her best interest to leave. He couldn't imagine staying here without her. Almost immediately he was finding possible scenario's for the two of them to stay together.
"What if you didn't go to France? What if you came to New York and stayed with me?" He asked boldly. Although his one bedroom apartment in Chinatown above a laundromat would be the opposite of what she was used to, it was option.
She was flattered. Flattered at the fact that Fitz was going so far as to welcome her to his home. But reality soon struck in before she could say yes, "what would I tell my parents? What would I tell Harrison?"
"The truth."
Olivia immediately shook her head. When they came out to her parents it would have to be planned and executed perfectly. "Not yet." She wasn't worried about her father as more so her mother. Her mother was stuck up and snobby. Elizabeth would not approve of anything less than a doctor.
"I don't want you to leave Liv." He said desperately, cupping her face with his hands. "Let me help you."
"You can't." Tears filled her eyes up at that very moment. "I... I think we both know the best thing for me to do right now is to leave."
Her hand filled his and before he knew her lips were on his, as she kissed him hard and feverishly. Whispers of I love you's and I'm sorry's filled the room between their ragged kisses. The thought of being separated from him now was all too much to bare. She had latched onto him; he was all that was important to her. Before Olivia knew it, tears were running down her face.
"I'm sorry." She whimpered softly against his lips. "I don't want to leave you."
"I don't want you to leave." He said holding her tighter than he ever had before. "I love you so much Olivia, it's going to kill not having you here."
"I'm going to call you every single day." She sighed. "And text you every second of everyday."
I took every ounce of self composure for him not to cry as he looked up at her. She had become his world, and now his world was due to take a 10 hour flight away.
"I'm going to miss you like crazy." He said hopelessly.
"I'm going to miss you like crazy."
Harrison scoffed, rolling his eyes to the sky and back. He had waited for this day since she had walked through the front door, but something was fishy. All of a sudden Olivia was demanding to go to France for an unknown reason. He didn't buy any of it.
"My flight is tomorrow at 11pm." Olivia said dryly as she stood in the threshold of Harrison's door.
"I still don't understand why you're leaving." Harrison eyed her suspiciously.
"I don't want to be here anymore, and lets not pretend that you want me here anyways."
After thinking about it carefully, Olivia decided not to inform Harrison of what was going on. He as well as her parents would never forgive her for the holding of the drugs. She couldn't bare to see the disappointment in her father's eyes, being the former daddy's girl she was. All she needed was to get out of Sarasota and get out fast.
"Yeah but all of a sudden you wanna leave? What happened?"
"Nothing." Olivia insisted. "I've just grown tired of living at the Jersey Shore house. Any other questions?"
Harrison shrugged, flopping back down on his bed. If Olivia insisted that nothing had happened, he'd take her word for it. Besides with her gone, the sky was truly the limit.
"Whatever." He mumbled before turning onto his stomach. "Do you want a ride or—"
"I can take a taxi."
"Alright."
Olivia rolled her eyes, it was always so wonderful engaging with her brother. She shrugged her shoulders and exited his room only to see Fitz with a more than unimpressed look on his face.
She knew he was angry, and rightfully so. The short time they had together was now cut even shorter due to some stupid decisions she had made. The future was up in the air, and she had so many questions. Would he even want to consider a long distance relationship with her? Even though Providence was a 3 hour and a half drive from NYU, the two had never discussed it.
"Hi." She said softly, finding some plates to organize in the kitchen. With their time in the house together coming to a close, the last thing she wanted to do was stay away from him.
"Hi." He let out a sigh which turned into a sort of grunt. Fitz felt both frustrated and angry; with himself and the situation. Until the mention of her departure, he failed to realize just how attached and dependant he was on her.
"Pool house?" She suggested, knowing Harrison wouldn't dare to leave his room with a girl coming over within the next 30 minutes.
"My room." He said. The bed in his room was far more comfortable than the love nest they had created in the pool house.
"What about Stephen?"
Fitz shrugged. The last thing on his mind at the moment was Stephen or Harrison. He made his way up to his room, knowing that Olivia would follow shortly. And a few minutes later she joined him quietly, squeezing the door behind her.
"I can't believe you're leaving me."
She braced a brave face. "It's not forever.", she joined him on the soft comforter of the bed. "I mean you'll visit me in Rhode Island right?"
"Of course." He said without a doubt. "Every chance I can."
"Good." She giggled, naughtily kissing a weak spot along his neck. She loved the sharp inhale of his breath the moment her lips touched his skin. She loved having that affect on him. It still amazed her that a man such as him, had fallen for her just as she had fallen for him.
He had chose her.
He had saved her.
"I never really thanked you."
He chuckled, slightly confused by her random comment. Pushing a few strands of hair off her face he asked, "thanked me for what?"
"With the drugs. I mean not just the drugs. You really... You helped me. As corny as this sounds, you make me want to be a better person. You make me want to smile; to be happy. You make me want to get along with my parents. You make me so happy Fitz."
His heart soared immensely as he watched her eyes well up with tears. Seeing as he'd only really seen her cry once; her words were meaningful. They meant absolutely everything.
She meant absolutely everything.
"You make me so fucking happy." He confessed, getting on top of her with both arms outstretched. "You crazy crazy girl.", his fingers teased her dimples and she blushed sweetly.
"Promise me something."
"Anything."
"You'll never leave me right?"
He laughed, pulling her by the fabric of her shirt and rolling them over so she now straddled him. He never found himself to be this carefree or frivolous than he was with her.
"Olivia Pope you couldn't get rid of me if you tried. I'm not going anywhere."
The look in his eyes was all the reassurance he could have ever asked for. He was everything she could have every asked for. He was the dream to the summer that was meant to be a nightmare. He was her knight in shining armour. He was her prince charming.
"I love you." The words left her lips like hallelujah.
"I love you too." His boyish grin peaking through as he tried not to blush.
"I don't think I would have lasted more than a week if you weren't here."
The thought of Fitz's absence was a horror. To say Olivia was thankful for his stay, despite her early departure would be an understatement.
He smirked cockily. "Who knows... Maybe you would have shacked up with Stephen."
A frown appeared across her pouty lips. "Don't be disgusting Fitzgerald."
"Ou..." He winked playfully, his hands resting on the globes of her perfectly shaped bottom. "Fitzgerald huh?"
"Yes, you're being mean." She said coyly, rolling over so they were now lying side by side. Olivia mustered up her best sulking face after years of practicing. "And I don't fuck meanie's."
"Yes you do."
"No I don't." She said before sitting up; slowly giving him a show of her ass in the black shorts she knew he loved. Fitz watched with drool practically gauging it's way out of his mouth as she sashayed her way to his door.
"Pool house later?"
She nodded her head. "Kristine and them are going coming over in the evening right?"
"Unfortunately." It was fair to say that after being with Olivia, Fitz was starting to see Harrison in a new light, and it wasn't exactly flattering.
"Definitely pool house later." And with that she was gone, closing his door behind her.
Fitz let out a heavy sigh. As much as he enjoyed his time in the house, he officially longed for summer to be over. He hated the ridiculous charade him and Olivia had to maintain for the sake of Harrison. Respectably, he had a plan. Once school started, he would wait a few weeks until his Livvie took the train down from Providence. The two of them would take Harrison to a fancy restaurant where no scene could be made. They would tell him the truth; together. He knew permission was key.
No games.
No lies.
They needed to be honest if they were to make an honest relationship out of each other. He wanted nothing more than to attend her family gatherings with the approval of everyone. He knew the situation wasn't going to be easy, but he failed to care.
He didn't want easy. He wanted Olivia, and that girl was the opposite of easy. They had fought tooth and nail to come to where they were. It had taken her ages to even crack a smile in his direction. The road had been long and bumpy, and there were times where he had questioned himself and his integrity. But lying in his bed now, Fitz had never felt so content.
He had the girl of his dreams and they were going to make it work. They were going to make them work.
Taking Harrison up on his offer once Kristine and her friends arrived, Olivia made herself scarce. With the keys to his car, she drove herself to the most reputable tattoo shop she could find.
"And you want it on your hip?"
Olivia looked the man in the eye before nodded her head. She'd been debated a new tattoo for a few months and after falling head over heels in love, she couldn't think of a better tattoo to get.
"Alright." He gave her a nod and Olivia laid back on the chair, both nervous and excited.
The buzzing of the tattoo gun brought her heart to racing pace. She winced the moment it broke flesh, gripping the arms of the chair. The artist smirked slightly, continuing his work diligently and swiftly.
She closed her eyes, trying her best to forget about the searing pain inflicting her right hip.
"Happy thoughts." The artist instructed her as he moved on to a particularly tender piece of flesh.
She thought of Fitz, and what the future held for them. Although she'd yet to reveal it to him, Olivia was planning on transferring second semester to NYU. She couldn't imagine being so far from him for an entire year. The thought made her stomach queasy.
She needed him. She breathed him. She loved him.
The two of them would rent a one bedroom apartment, preferably in uptown Manhattan. They would walk the streets hand in hand like lovers; never once parting from one another. She would kiss him with all she had, making swooning girls like Mellie jealous. She would love him with every fibre of her being. And undoubtedly, he would love her the same.
Regardless of how Harrison felt, she would love Fitz. Not that she ever needed nor seeked his permission. She would live her life they way she wished to, and she would live it with Fitz by her side; as her partner in all aspects of the word.
"Done."
Olivia opened her eyes to see her fresh tattoo all finished. She immediately rushed to the full length mirror, gushing in approval.
"I love it." She beamed over her new body art, no bigger than a mini powdered donut. In black ink Olivia had never loved a tattoo so much. "Thank you." She turned to the artist with a genuine smile. "It's perfect."

The pool house was their oasis from the house of horrors. The pool house was their apartment in uptown Manhattan. It was there sanity and serenity. It was their refreshing glass of lemonade on a hot summers day. It was there favourite chair after a long and tiresome day at work. It was peace.
"Show me."
"No." A bashful giggle escaped her lips as she turned onto her side.
"Olivia Carolyn Pope if you do not show me this tattoo so help me god I will—"
"What?" She challenged him with a daring wink. "What are you gonna do? Spank me?"
"Would you let me?"
"Possibly."
"Mhm." He groaned deeply, allowing his hands to descend down her body to the soft edges of her ass. He then dug his nails into the flesh and watched as she moaned in response.
She purred against him, revelling in his touch. He always awoke a certain fire in her belly which was quenched only and solely by him.
"Fitz..." She hummed softly, his body now hovering on top of hers. The last half an hour of teasing touches was soon to be taken to the next level. She wanted to feel him; as much as she could before she left for Europe.
His lips went to her neck; suckling and kissing the skin there sensitively; knowing he couldn't leave a mark. Despite it being her last night in the house, they couldn't afford to get sloppy. The situation with Harrison needed to be handled with the utmost care.
"Mhm." A careless whisper left her lips as Fitz slipped off her nightgown and peeled away her panties, leaving her completely nude.
She reached for his pants, pulling his erection out before slowly starting to stroke him. She started at the head, running her thumb around the sensitive area just the way she knew he loved. He grunted against her neck, wanting nothing more than to sink his teeth in at the way she was making him feel.
Her hand then moved to his shaft, making soft and delicate rings around the skin there. The grunts and moans leaving his mouth provided all the encouragement she needed, and with that, she increased the speed at which she was pleasuring him.
"Oh god Olivia." He managed to get out through gritted teeth. "You'd better stop or I'm going to cum."
She pulled back sweetly, leaning up and kissing his lips. "I want you inside me."
"Yeah?" He grunted teasingly, stroking the side of her face. He loved her dirty side, almost as much as her sweet and loving side. Fitz truly felt honoured to have been her first; to be the one to help her explore her sexuality in this new found world. It meant everything to him to have had this experience with her.
"Yeah." She nodded her head, pushing his pyjama pants off his body. "Now Fitz."
He smirked, hoisting her legs on top of her shoulders, a position they had yet to try. She gasped as she felt the tip of his hard cock dance against her sensitive clit.
"Fitz I'm so wet baby." She said almost like a plea. Gripping the hair at the back of his head desperately, she mewed, hungry for his love.
"I know." He replied smugly, still continuing to tease her swollen core. "Beg for it."
"Please." She said weakly, rolling her hips upward. "Please babe."
He smiled, kissing her lips, putting on protection before sliding into her in one deep and fluid motion. She let out a yelp almost instantly, certain that the two of them had never been connected physically so deeply.
"You okay?" He asked after hearing her gasp.
"So. Deep." She managed to choke out well try to pull herself back together.
"I know right?" He grinned, kissing her lips. "Is it good?"
She nodded her head, "just go slow." Despite all the sex they had had she still needed a few couple of strokes to adjust to his size.
"Of course." He smiled understandingly. With that he slowly began to ease in and out of her at the sweetest pace, bringing them both immense pleasure.
He knew her tells all too well. It started as a quiver in her bottom lip, which she bit down desperately. She then sunk her nails into his back, gripping onto him for dear life. From then it wasn't long before she was moaning, gasping and desperate for a release solely given by him.
"My beautiful Livvie." He grunted, nearing his climax as well.
"I love you."
"I love you more."
She came first, throwing her head back against the pillow, allowing Fitz to swallow her moans with his lips, knowing if he didn't, the neighbourhood would be privy to their sex life. Moments later he followed, shooting his seed into the latex condom before pulling out of her.
"God I love you." He replied helpless and breathlessly, turning onto his back.
She giggled, reaching over him to turn off the light. "Goodnight Fitzgerald."
"Goodnight Olivia."
Less than an hour later, the two of them were awoken by a bright switch of a light. Fitz awoke first almost immediately, only to see a horrified Stephen in the doorway. Not only was Stephen aware of the sight before him which included both a naked Fitz and Olivia in bed thankfully covered by a blanket, but there was also a strew of condom wrappers along the floor.
"Sorry." He stammered out looking like a deer in head lights. "I was just looking for my iPod. I thought Kristine might have left it... Sorry."
Before Fitz could even get a word out, Stephen had raced back inside. Olivia sat there completely gobsmacked of what to say or do.
"FUCK!" Fitz spat, throwing on his clothes frantically. "FUCK. FUCK. FUCK."
"Fitz—"
"Wait here." He warned before practically sprinting out of the pool house at the speed of light. He found Stephen in the kitchen, pouring himself a glass of water.
"Stephen man I—"
"Don't." Stephen cut him off almost immediately. "I didn't see anything. I don't know anything. I went to the pool house to check for my iPod because I can't sleep, it wasn't there. I'm getting a glass of water and I'm going to watch Netflix."
Fitz couldn't blame Stephen for not wanting to get involved. This situation was messy and complicated with many layers. There was certainly more to it than met the eye.
"Stephen..."
"Shut up Fitz." He warned. "I didn't see anything."
Stephen wanted no knowledge of whatever he had just seen. He wished nothing more than to have it erased from his memory. He picked up his glass and made his way up the stairs.
"I love her." Fitz said with a sigh. "I fucking love her man."
"I sure to god hope you do." Stephen gulped before going in his room and closing his door.
11pm was fast approaching and Olivia was scrambling to put all of her stuff back in her suitcase. It was all too much. She wished nothing more than to stay in Florida and soak up the rest of the sun with the man she loved. She could blame no one but herself as she had put herself in this impossible situation. She was only thankful that Charlie was unaware of Fitz completely. He was safe, and that put her mind at ease.
"Don't forget sunblock." Elizabeth chanted through speakerphone. "You'll need lots."
"I know mom."
"I found the cutest little boutique yesterday Liv. I can't wait to show you. Fashion here is just... Unbelievable."
Olivia rolled her eyes. She had no intentions of frolicking down the streets in hot pursuit of the newest Fendi bag. She'd rather stay confined to her room, messaging Fitz every second she could. She would miss him like a bee would its favourite flower. She needed him every second of every day. Her mother would undoubtedly annoy her with her obscene materialism, dragging her from one designer store to another.
And after yesterdays events, she was unsure how everything would play out. After running in to Stephen during breakfast, he seemed completely unfazed. He said good morning, grabbed his bowl of cereal and made his way out to the pool to eat like usual. For what she gathered, Stephen wanted zero part in any of this.
"Olivia?"
Her mother's voice snapped her out of the trance. "Yeah?"
"I'm getting quite tired and it's almost time for my evening massage. I'll see you in the morning."
"Okay. Bye mom."
"Au revoir." Elizabeth kissed before hanging up the phone.
Olivia frowned, as she'd been deprived of Fitz all day. Seeing as Stephen was now fully aware of their relationship they both agreed it would be best not to draw attention to themselves. And as 8 o'clock dawned, she realized this was truly one of the last hours she had to spend with Fitz for a while.
After France there would be Brown, a full 3 and a half hours away. The whole situation was both saddening and difficult. But not enough to give up, she would never give up on him.
Dinner time came and Olivia managed to run into Fitz in the kitchen while he prepared the four of them a large portion of macaroni and cheese.
"Kraft dinner?" She laughed picking up the blue box. "My last supper is KD..."
"If you were expecting Gordan Ramsey..." He teased with a wink, stirring the pot.
She smiled at him dreamily. How she would miss that head of brown curls. She would certainly drag him to cooking class after transferring to NYU. She couldn't wait to do sweet things like that with him. She simply couldn't wait to be a normal couple; a real couple.
"I'm going to miss you so much." She whimpered softly, knowing Harrison was merely outside with Stephen.
"Don't." He warned as her voice cracked. "We can't."
"I know." She wiped a tear which had quickly fallen from her face. Within a moment he was there, quickly kissing away another which threatened to spill.
Dinner was quiet as they all sat on the couch, eating and watching TV. Occasionally Olivia would look to Fitz who shot her the odd smile. Stephen finished his food with his eyes glued to the television, feeling slightly awkward. Sandwiched between Harrison and Fitz it was no surprise when Stephen made an early exit, with an awkward goodbye to Olivia.
"You all packed?" Harrison asked barely turning his head.
"Yep." Olivia replied.
"Mom picking you up in the morning?"
"Yep."
Fitz got up, not wanting to intrude on whatever conversation taking place between the two siblings. This was the most pleasant he'd ever seen the two interact with one another.
"Are you gonna just fly down to Rhode Island with your stuff then?"
"I dunno." Olivia shrugged. "Maybe."
He nodded his head awkwardly. "Well I... I'm gonna head to Kristine's unless you wanted me to stay—"
"No." She cut him off shaking her head. "I'm taking a taxi so, I'll be fine."
"Alright." He rose up off the couch and Olivia awkwardly did the same. The pair looked at once another and for a moment, Fitz genuinely thought they were to hug. But instead the shared an awkward wave and shook hands.
Harrison made his way to the front of the house grabbing his car keys and throwing on his shoes. "I'll see you in a bit man." He turned to Fitz before exiting the house and driving off.
The moment she heard his car peel away Olivia leaped into Fitz's arms, throwing herself passionately into him. She kissed his face, every single inch of it. By the time she pulled away the two of them were both breathless and frantic.
"We should go." He held her face, stroking her chin. "You have to be there early and you have to check in."
She nodded, wrapping her hands around his waist. "Are you gonna carry my suitcase to the car?"
"Maybe pretty lady... Just maybe."
XXXXX
"No!" She squealed as the two of them were en route to Sarasota International Airport.
"If you got a tattoo I wanna see it." He demanded. Despite the fact he was driving Olivia was playing the role of a minx, resting her hand on his upper thigh before letting it slip she got his initials tattooed on her.
"No." She smiled coyly.
"If you don't show me. It never happened." He grinned smugly. "I don't believe you then."
"Are you calling me a liar Fitzgerald?"
"Maybe."
She let out an exaggerated gasp before moving her fingers to her jeans which she hastily unzipped.
"Oh yeah baby." He teased and snickered. "Strip for me."
"Shut up." She laughed, pulling her underwear down just enough to reveal "FTGIII" in beautiful black cursive writing. Fitz got a quick glance as they pulled up to a red light. He laced his fingers over top the fresh tattoo gently with a giddy smile.
"Baby..." He said with a lovestruck glow on his face. "I don't know what to say."
"I love you."
"I love you." He sighed, "So damn much."
She smiled as they continued their scenic route to the airport, opting not to take the fast pace interstate. The two wanted to salvage what little time they had together left.
"Do you think Stephen will say something?" Olivia asked, slipping her hand into his free one.
"Nah." Fitz shook his head. "Stephen hates anything to do with drama. He'll just pester me to tell Harrison. He won't get in the middle of it."
"You're sure?"
"Positive babe." He brought her hand up to his lips and kissed it sweetly. "So you gotta promise me something?"
"Anything."
"Brown. It's gonna be a new start for you. A fresh start. No drugs. No lying. No bitching. I want you to be that amazing beautiful intelligent woman I get to snuggle up to at night. No more bullshit Olivia."
"No bullshit." She promised. He made her want to do and be better. She wanted to be better for him; for them.
"Good." He smiled. Fitz thoroughly believed that this would be a good start for her. A chance to start fresh, make friends and be happy. He wanted nothing but the best for his girl.
She grinned, turning to peck his cheek only to see a perplexed look on his face. "Babe? What's up?"
"This idiot is driving up my asshole." Fitz hissed, glaring at his rear view mirror. "What in the hell does he want me to do? I'm already going the limit."
Olivia turned around to see a red 2001 Dodge Journey, literally a few feet from rear ending them. As she focused her vision a little harder, she caught a glimpse of the driver, and the car became all too familiar.
"Fitz speed up." Her voice was on the verge of cracking as her heart raced the speed of a freight train.
"What? Why? He'll just have to pass me."
"Fitz that's Charlie behind us." She turned around, visibly shaking. Sweat beads were now forming on her forehead like no tomorrow. "Speed up."
Fitz did as he asked, pressing down heavily on the gas, accelerating the car forward. He turned to Olivia who had gone the colour of a ghost.
"You're not safe Olivia. Charlie... He's fucking obsessed with you. It's becoming his life Olivia, you've become his life."
"Livvie relax okay." Fitz tried to assure although himself he was started to freak out. "Just relax were in a car."
She didn't respond. She couldn't. Words escaped her. Her mouth was dry and her tongue sat in her mouth limp.
"He's disturbed Olivia; deeply, deeply disturbed. Huck and I weren't safe and you sure as hell aren't Olivia. He could... He could really hurt you."
The gap between the two cars was short lived as Charlie sped up, effectively rear ending them.
"Fuck!" Fitz muttered. He didn't stop driving, he couldn't, not with an absolute mad man pulling over.
"Pull over." She managed to choke out moments before Charlie rear ended them for a second time, sending them both jolting forward. "Fitz pull over." Tears streamed down her face as she tried to piece together what exactly was taking place.
"No." He fired out, speeding forward, only to be met by Charlie as he maneuvered into the next lane.
"FITZ!" Olivia shrieked as they finally came side to side with Charlie. "FITZ PLEASE—"
It all happened so fast before Fitz could even spin the wheel Charlie had rammed them from the side, sending the car flying into the ditch alongside the road. Charlie watched gleefully as car totalled completely. They had turned over in the air twice before crashing down on a side and finally plonking upside down.
Olivia was certain she felt her brain rattling around in her head as they spun around. Glass shards were everywhere as they collided heavily with the ground. With every collision, she felt her body go further and further numb until her eyes involuntarily shut.
As much as Charlie wished he could stop his car and see Olivia beg for mercy. He knew it was only a matter of time before an ambulance and police were called. He sped on, positive the job he had done would eliminate them both. He grinned, looking back in his rearview mirror as he saw a small spark beginning to burn on the car. Olivia was more than toast now, he thought to himself as he drove on.
XXXXX
She awoke to smell of burning only to find the entire car engulfed in a thick black smoke. Olivia opened her now burning eyes and nearly coughed up a lung. Her bottom half was numb as well as a stinging sensation in her lower stomach. She was lying in a pool of liquid which she was sure to be her own blood.
It then dawned on her; she wasn't alone. There was in fact another person in the car. Mustering all the strength she had in the world, Olivia managed to worm her way onto her side.
"Fitz.." Her voice was soft and hoarse. With every passing second she could feel the car getting hotter and hotter. Everything in her told her that if they didn't exit the car fast, they were both going to die.
"Fitz!" She tried to choke out again and for the second time she received no response. She looked as he lay there limb, completely and totally unconscious. With two weak fingers she moved to check a pulse upon his neck and found absolutely nothing.
She needed to act and act fast. Rolling back on her side, Olivia used the pure muscles in her arms to undo both her and Fitz's seat belts. Worming her way out of the already shattered window, shards of glass grazed and scraped her skin everywhere. As she wormed her way across the ditch, dirt and grass filled her mouth.
She was certain this was what death tasted like.
Despite the searing pain wracking her body harder and harder, Olivia Pope fought. She pulled her body across the car and to the other side where the love of her life laid in a pool of blood. She grabbed him by shirt with her bruised and bloody hands and pulled him through.
She heaved, and cried, and heaved and cried some more until she managed to pull this 6 foot man out throw the broken window and into her arms. Even then she rolled them over; using the momentum of the hill to propel them further and further away from the burning car.
Olivia held onto him for dear life, clutching onto his chest until they came to a rolling stop, a healthy distance away from the vehicle.
He didn't wake. His eyes shut. A single stream of steady blood trickled down from his head.
She managed by the grace of god to pull him in between her legs which had as much consciousness as he did. She held onto him, kissing the side of his head trying her best not to sob.
"It's okay. Help's coming Fitz. Stay with me baby." She whimpered, unsure of her own words. Not only was her cellphone back in the car but was probably burnt to a crisp. It then dawned on her to check his pockets and like the miracle it was, his iPhone laid there.
With shaky fingers she managed to hit emergency call before dialling 911.
"Hello." She choked out. "My name is Olivia Pope and I need an ambulance."
So don't totally hate me hahaha. I did warn you that the angst was coming. I originally had planned to have Quinn kill Charlie, but I found that this worked into my story better.
So yes Charlie is psycho. Fitz sustained the greater injury as he was on the side Charlie rammed into. No Stephen isn't going to say anything, his purpose comes later. I realized I said in an earlier chapter that Olivia was going to Columbia then switched it to Brown, just to be clear I've sticking with Brown.
I will say that things are about to get crazy and I'm transitioning into the second part of the story now. Things are about to get rough for Fitz so I hope you're ready.
Until next time! x
