I think I'm slowly finding my muse back for this story, which is great as it is one you guys enjoy the most. With that being said, please enjoy!
"Hi beautiful." He swooned as the love of his life walked in the room and closed the door. Wearing her hair in a single side braid with natural makeup and a white sundress, Liv looked effortlessly gorgeous.
"Are you talking to me or the McDonalds breakfast I brought you." She giggled, pecking his cheek as she walked to his bed. Liv ran her hands through his thick curly hair and sighed softly. "God I love him.", she thought to herself.
"You brought me food?" He grinned eagerly. Fitz was quickly growing tired of the dreaded hospital food which consistent of jello, mystery meat, soggy rice and cold vegetables.
"I did." She pulled a slightly grease stained brown paper bag out of her black longchamp. "Two hashbrowns and two sausage McGriddles for my favourite boy."
"God I love you." He groaned. "So fucking much."
She blushed, sitting at the edge of the bed. At this point Liv knew she didn't even need to say it back. He knew she loved him more than anything in the world. "I'm gonna go heat this up for you in the micro. I'll be right back."
"Livvie?"
"Yeah?"
"Did you bring your laptop?"
She shook her head with laughter, "yes and we can watch Netflix when I get back."
By the time she got back Fitz was already browsing through the Netflix selection on her laptop. "Jee thanks for waiting for me." Liv teased, placing the hot plate of food in front of him.
"Sorry." He grinned as she squeezed in the bed with him. Although he was situated in a twin bed, the couple made it work. He didn't realize how much he valued her company until the accident. As she was only allowed to visit 3 times a day, he cherished every single moment they were able to spend together.
As Fitz chowed down on his breakfast with one arm Liv nestled herself around his other and found a show.
"Suits?" Fitz chuckled in between bites. "Interesting choice."
"Isn't it one of your favourites?"
"Yeah, you remembered?"
"Of course I did." She pecked his chest and the two of them lost themselves within the film. Liv soon fell asleep in his arms as he softly stroked her temple soothingly. About half way through the episode a knock at his door distracted Fitz. He quickly paused it before yelling to the visiter to enter.
"Dr. Stott." Fitz smiled as the middle aged man walked in with a clipboard.
"I hope I'm not interrupting anything." He chuckled referring to a purring Olivia who was fast asleep. Dr. Stott was one of the best doctors in all of Florida. Denzel had requested nothing but the best for what he could predict would be his future son-in-law.
Fitz shook his head. "Not at all."
"Well Fitz. I have some news for you."
Immediately Fitz felt his stomach sink. "News?" He croaked out. "What kind of news..."
"You might want to wake her up for this." Dr. Stott smiled eagerly. "I'll wait."
Confused and slightly taken back Fitz nodded never the less and followed the doctor's orders. "Livvie." He shook her slightly. "Baby, wake up." A few moments later her soft chocolate eyes opened and she smiled.
"Hi." She smiled lovingly at him, pecking his lips.
"Dr. Stott has news." Fitz told her nervously.
Once Liv realized there was indeed another person in the room she sat up straight. "News?!" Her heart was starting to beat out of her chest. "What news?!" In her mind, news could only mean one thing, something had gone terribly wrong. "What's wrong? What happened?!"
Dr. Stott flipped a few pages on the clipboard and smiled. "Well you do remember the x-ray we took of your spine yesterday Fitz?"
He nodded. "What about it?"
"It appears a vast majority of the tissue surrounding your spinal cord is already starting to heal itself."
"What?" Fitz frowned. "What does that mean?"
"The tissue... Surrounding your spinal cord injury is repairing itself already."
Liv spoke up as she needed clarification. "So this is good news right?!"
Dr. Stott nodded with a smile. "It doesn't mean you'll be able to walk out of here or anything, but if this is any indication of how your body plans on rebuilding itself, I'd say your chances of walking again are pretty phenomenal."
Fitz wiped tears falling from Olivia's face and quickly kissed her cheek before turning back to the doctor. "Thank you..."
"I'll send in a nurse to go over the details with you but we're all so stunned at these results... I had to tell you."
"Thank you so much." Liv sobbed as the Dr. smiled and bid them both goodbye. Moments later she threw herself into his chest without a care in the world.
"Livvie..." He said running his hands up and down her back as her tears soaked his hospital gown. "Baby please stop crying."
"I just need you to get better." She cried looking up at him. "It's all I want... I just want you to be better again. I'll do anything."
"You heard him you silly girl." He kissed her forehead. "I am getting better, and I'm going to be better. I promise."
She smiled, he was right; he was getting better. Liv knew in her heart of hearts that they were going to be okay. He was going to make it through this rough patch and they would emerge stronger than ever.
"I'm going to transfer to Columbia, when you're better and back at school."
He smiled, "I was hoping you would say something like that." Although Rhode Island wasn't exactly the other side of the world from New York City, the last thing either of them wanted was long distance. "I'd love nothing more than to have you in New York."
"I'd love nothing more to be in New York with you. I want us to have a real relationship, one where we don't have to hide."
"Me too." He pecked her forehead. "Believe me when I say I'm counting down the days until we can make that a reality."
She smiled as they resumed the episode she had barely paid attention to. Looking up at him dreamily Liv realized in that very instant, she was completely, hopelessly and infinitely devoted to him with every fibre of her being. She couldn't imagine her life with anyone else, and frankly it made her feel nauseous to think of her life without him. She had found her prince charming, she had found the one. And right then, Liv realized she would in fact do just about anything for him.

"Do you realize how ridiculous the two of you sound?!" Denzel growled at his wife and son as they sat in the dining room amongst their videochat with family lawyer Franklin Nelson. Elizabeth had made it her first line of business to contact Franklin upon waking up.
"I have to agree, you really have no case." Franklin stated. "If both parties are stating the sex was consensual, there is nothing to be done. Let alone the fact Olivia is refusing to press charges and is indeed in a relationship with this man."
"There has to be something we can do!" Elizabeth spat hysterically. "He can't get away with this!"
"Legally there is absolutely nothing to be done. I'm sorry Elizabeth but I will not represent you with this. Not only do you not have a strong case, but you have no evidence and Olivia is unwillingly to participate. She is legally an adult, you will lose."
"Thank you." Denzel exhaled deeply. "Thank god someone sees sense."
"I have to do something." Elizabeth countered. "Anything! I have to fix this!"
"I do have a suggestion." Franklin offered.
"Please!"
"Family therapy." He replied cooly. "I think counselling would do you some good. I'm not sure what kind of mother tries to convince their 18 year old daughter she's been raped..."
"HOW DARE YOU ATTACK ME AS A MOTHER!" Elizabeth roared jumping out of her seat. With that she slammed down the laptop, ending the video chat. "How dare he..."
"Let's find another lawyer to represent us." Harrison suggested. "Maybe there's someone else who will feel differently. Franklin can't be right."
"He is right. There are no maybe's. He is a professional. It's time you both shut up, built a bridge and got over it. Olivia is an adult. Who she is dating now isn't any of our ideal choices for her. Me, personally, I would prefer someone closer to her age. However, there is absolutely nothing wrong with Fitz. He's intelligent with goals and a good head on his shoulders. He cares for her deeply. He keeps her grounded and most importantly, he makes her the happiest I've ever seen her. Now I am telling you for the last and final time to get over it. You may not like it, but you had better accept it."
"I..."
"I mean it Liz." Denzel hissed. "If I hear one more word of this bullshit I will lose it, and then you'll both be sorry."

"When are you coming back?" He asked as she packed up her things. Fitz could tell by the bags under her eyes that she was tired beyond belief.
"I'll be here at 2." She smiled. "And then I'll bring you soup for dinner."
"You're the most amazing girlfriend." He smiled.
She leaned down, rubbing her nose against his. "You ain't seen nothing yet."
"Please get some sleep though babe." He frowned. "You look tired."
"It's just everything going on at home... They're all insane. I just can't wait until they transfer you outta here."
"Only a few more days." He smiled. Taking her hand he placed a kiss to her palm. "I don't know what on earth I would do without you."
She was crying again. "You're my world Fitzgerald Grant. You're my moon, my stars, my sun; my everything. And I'm not going anywhere."
After a goodbye that lasted longer than it should have, Liv managed to pull herself away from him in order to let him sleep. She'd be back in a few hours when visiting hours started again. But for now she needed a nap and some lunch. Waiting for the elevator Liv was surprised as ever to receive a call from an unknown number.
"Hello?" She asked cautiously.
"Liv."
"Quinn?" Liv was shocked to hear from her. As far as Liv knew, Quinn and Huck had dropped off the face of the earth.
"I don't have time to talk, Huck will kill me if he finds out. Grab a pen and write this down."
Panicking Liv rushed into the lounge where she tore off a page from a magazine and picked up a pencil from the coffee table. "Okay."
"62 Warwick Crescent." Quinn said quickly.
Liv gulped. She didn't even need to ask what the address was for. "What do I do with this?"
"You're turning over a new leaf right?"
"I have to. I can't fuck anything I have with Fitz up... He's all I have."
"I'd fuck him up." Quinn said bluntly. "No one hurts whats mine. I'd take baseball bat and some brass knuckles and smash his skull in."
Liv gulped. There wasn't one part of her that disagreed with that statement. She would love nothing more to stand over Charlie as she smashed him to smithereens. He'd completely destroyed everything. If it weren't for him, she and Fitz could have slowly eased her family into their relationship. If it wasn't for him Fitz wouldn't be confined to a hospital bed. The more she thought about it the more rage and anger festered inside of her. There was absolutely no way she would let Charlie get away with doing this to the man she loved. Regardless of right and wrong, Liv would have her revenge.
Looking around Liv made sure no doctor and patient was in sight. "Do you know where I can get brass knuckles? My brother used to play baseball here in the summer and I can just steal his bat."

Liv kept her bag tight to her body as she entered her home. The last thing she needed was any questioning of any kind. For the second time, she was bringing something illegal into her home. On her way home from picking them up from one of the sketchiest parts of town, Liv researched that in fact brass knuckles were in fact outlawed in Florida. All she needed to do was to go upstairs and hide them until later on, yet of course her father sat on the couch ready to have a conversation.
"How was the hospital?" He asked. Denzel found himself genuinely caring for Fitz's recovery.
"Good." Liv smiled trying to keep her cool. "The tissue surround his injury is already repairing itself."
"Thats great news Liv." Denzel smiled. "I have to say Liv you're handling this situation with great maturity."
"Really?"
"Really." He smiled. "The same can't be said for your mother and Harrison. Instead of throwing a fit or trying to get even, you're right by his side every second. What happened was awful, but you're really impressing me Liv."
"Thank you Daddy." Liv smiled sweetly. "That means a lot."
"You're welcome. Just keep your head up, stay positive, even when its hard, and you'll get through it. You both will."
As Liv opened her mouth to respond, Elizabeth came strolling down the stairs with a glass of wine in her hand. Immediately the mood changed and the intimate moment with her father was over. Liv gave him a soft sweet smile before glaring at her mother and headed upstairs.
"Olivia." Elizabeth spat as her daughter passed her on the stairs. "OLIVIA!"
Liv kept her composure as she remained silent, went up to her room and closed the door.
"What the hell is her problem?" Elizabeth asked as she took a swig of her wine.
"Oh gee I wonder..." Denzel shook his head sarcastically. "I wonder why our daughter isn't speaking to you since you're such a great mom."
"Don't start with me..."
"Sometimes dealing with you feels more like dealing with a child than a wife." Denzel spat out harshly. "I'm going for a walk."

She'd returned like she promised much to Fitz's delight. Liv brought him back home made pasta which he practically inhaled as she laid beside him running her fingers up and down his chest.
"Babe?"
"Yeah?" He smiled at her.
"Are you angry?"
He chuckled, slightly confused. "Angry? How on earth could I be angry? You just brought me the best dinner I've had in ages."
"I mean about what happened..." She asked honestly, sitting up in order to look him in the eye as she took his hand. "About your situation, are you angry?"
It took him a while to respond, as he carefully thought out what to say.
"Yeah." He replied honestly. "I'm angry that that lowlife scum pulled a hit and run. I'm angry that the cops still haven't found him. I'm angry that he put you in the hospital. I'm angry that I'm ..." Fitz didn't care to speak that word into existence. His condition was temporary, and he needed to stay positive. "Yes, I'm angry."
Liv nodded. "I'm angry too. I'm so angry that that fucker did this to you."
"Why do you ask?"
She shrugged, not wanting to reveal too much. She knew informing Fitz of her conversation with Quinn would do nothing but upset him. She promised him that she would stay away from Huck and Quinn. It wasn't that Liv wanted to lie, she simply needed to keep him happy.
"If you could get him back, would you?"
"Who Charlie?" Fitz spat. "I'd love to hit his car into a ditch and see how he likes it. But I doubt he's still around, if he had any sense he'd flee and never come back."
"I'd crack his head open and watch him bleed out." Liv said bluntly.
"Woah there!" Fitz laughed lightly trying to make light of the situation. "Easy Livvie."
"Fitz I'm serious. Every bad thing that has happened this summer is because of him. I never would have taken those drugs from Huck if they hadn't practically shoved them in purse. Do you remember how mad you were?"
"He's scum Liv. That's all there is too it."
"And now this... He hurt you Fitz, and that's not okay with me. I just... He can't get away with this."
Fitz kissed the top of her forehead as she laid beside him again. "Karma Livvie, he'll get whats coming to him."
"And what if Karma isn't quick enough?"
"I would love to put him where I am Liv. I would love to switch places with him. I would have loved to have been able to tell Harrison about our relationship together, respectfully. But, I can't turn back time. Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to destroy him Liv, believe me. But right now, I'm just happy to be alive."
"I'm happy you're alive too." Liv replied wiping tears she didn't know had fallen. "I love you."
"I love you too."

"Where are you going?" Harrison questioned. It was 12:44 am and both Denzel and Elizabeth had retired to bed. So it say it was awfully suspicious to see Liv coming down the stairs dressed in all black with a backpack and his baseball bat peaking out of it was a complete understatement. "And what the HELL are you doing my baseball bat?! DID YOU GO IN MY ROOM? DID YOU GO IN MY CLOSET?!" Harrison screeched in the most panicked voice she'd ever heard him speak in. And now for the first time, Liv finally understood why.
"Don't talk to me." Liv growled out, moving swiftly to the kitchen to fill up her water bottle.
"You really think your shit doesn't stink now huh? That you're invincible?" He roared. "Stay the hell out of my room!"
"Let me make this very clear to you, you son of a bitch. You and that women upstairs are dead to me. The only family I have in this house is dad. The second Fitz gets transferred to Rhode Island consider yourself an only child. I hope you rot in hell."
He was stunned. Stunned at her words; stunned at the seriousness in her voice. Picking up his laptop from the couch he scoffed, determined to get the last word in. "I hope you and Fitz are very happy together you stupid cunt."
Before this summer, Liv probably would have cried at being called the c word. But now she simply laughed.
"I mean it Harrison. I'm done with you and this family. I've been your punching bag for far too long. You saw how mom reacted when she found out about Fitz. You think she'll treat you any different when she finds out that everything you've been doing for the past decade has been nothing more than one big facade."
His heart nearly stopped. He could feel the bile rising in his stomach. "Don't ..."
"You've been really good Harrison, banging all these girls. You're the actor, or should I say, actress." She smirked slyly. "Whatever, I'm sure it's only a matter of time before mom finds the gay porn you keep stashed away in your closet. I sure did."
He was going to be sick. At this moment in time Harrison was never more certain he was going to pass out. He was speechless and as Liv pushed past him towards the door, he nearly fainted.
"If you ever try to fuck with Fitz and I again I'll will rock your world so hard you won't know which way is up. And that's not a threat, it's a fucking promise. Mom tried to cry rape when I had sex with an older guy. I can just imagine what she's going to do when she finds out she has a gay son." Grabbing the car keys Liv smiled falsely. "Sleep well Harrison."
He stood there, completely and totally numb, watching as his sister got into the car and drove off into the night.
I'm not gonna say much, but please leave reviews & predictions!
Until next time! X
