Waking up first thing in the morning Fitz was surprised as ever to see Olivia sitting in the chair right beside him. Her hair was a in a messy bun on top her head while her eyes were sad, red and puffy. "Liv?" Fitz rubbed his sleepy eyes. "What are you doing here so early?" Normally he would at least have his breakfast before she arrived.

"I've been waiting in the lobby for ages and one of the nurses took pity on me and let me come in." Liv tried her best to sound upbeat even though she had never felt more defeated in all her life. "How are you?"

"Me? I'm fine. How are you?!" He was confused. "Babe have you been crying?"

She didn't respond immediately, but slowly rose out of her chair and moved towards him. Fitz shifted himself over, allowing her to climb into bed with him underneath the sheets. She spooned up to him instantly, resting her head on his chest. It didn't take long for her to pour out the horrifying events that took place hours ago.

Fitz nodded, remaining silent so he could gather his thoughts. "You have to go back."

"What?!" Olivia was sure she'd never heard a more ridiculous idea in her life. After what she had told him, the last thing she expected was for him to have that reaction. "Fitz what are you—"

"Your dad. You love him right?"

"Of course." Olivia said naturally. "He's the best dad I ever could have asked for."

"You need to go back for him Olivia. Make sure everything is okay between the two of you."

"I hate when you're right." Liv rolled her eyes as she pecked his cheek softly. He grinned smugly, wiggling his eyebrows triumphantly. "Do you always have to be the best boyfriend ever?"

"Boyfriend..."

"Fiancèe!" Olivia quickly corrected herself. It was only then it hit her like a ton of bricks; they were engaged to be married. They were going to man and wife. And while it scared the living crap out of her, she knew she had never wanted nor needed something so badly in her life.

"Olivia Grant. It has a nice ring to it."

She could have died of happiness. Olivia Grant. There was nothing she had ever heard that sounded more perfect.

"I love you." The words rolled off her tongue like the sweetest song.

"I love you more." He kissed her forehead; his lips lingering along the soft skin there. There was no better feeling than simply having Olivia visit him. She supported him in ways that no one else had. Morning, noon and night she was there for him every single day. There was no doubt in his mind that this woman was going to be his wife.

She opened her mouth to giggle and yet her attention was stolen by a movement at the door. Within a few moments there was none other than Denzel Pope standing in the doorway with a smile. "Hi." He grinned at his daughter. "I figured you'd be here."

Fitz immediately straightened up. This being the first time they met since his health had improved, he needed to make a good impression. There was no doubt in his mind that Harrison had already tainted the well.

"Daddy?" Olivia bounced off the bed and flew towards her father, surprised as ever to see him. "What are you doing here?!"

"I came to talk to you, to both of you actually." Denzel looked up, offering Fitz a weak smile. In all honestly, Denzel felt torn. In no way did he agree with or condone one of Harrison's friend's sneaking in on Olivia under his own roof, however the massive change he saw in his daughter plus the massive grin on her face made Denzel realize this wasn't a battle he wanted. Fitz made Olivia happy, and at the end of the day that was all that mattered.

"Please come in." Fitz smiled and watched as Denzel did just that. He nodded and took a seat in a chair adjacent to the bed. Olivia found herself sitting by her fiancée's feet at the edge of the cot.

"What's going on?" Olivia asked as her curiosity got the better of her. "Why are you here?"

"I'm here because I'm leaving and I wanted to say goodbye." Denzel smiled weakly at his daughter. "Your mother and I decided that after yesterdays events it would be best if we separated for a while."

"A while..." Olivia gulped. "How long is a while?"

"I don't know." Denzel replied honestly. "But you're old and mature enough to understand now that not all marriages are perfect."

Fitz found his way to grab onto Olivia's hand. Fresh news of her parents separation couldn't be easy to swallow, especially with everything else going on. From what happened with Charlie, to his accident, to Harrison and now her parents, Fitz was starting to wonder how Olivia was going to cope with all this.

"Okay." Liv nodded softly. "I just want you to be happy."

"As do I. I can tell that Fitz has made you the happiest I've ever seen you Liv. I've seen a change in you that I always wished and hoped for. I'm so proud of you."

Olivia soon found herself crying at her dad's honest and genuine words. Wiping away her tears she could muster a "thank you", with a heartfelt smile.

"Fitz." Denzel redirected his attention. "Hang in there, rehab is going to be tough, but you need to stick it out. Despite you two sneaking around, I really do trust you with my daughter. Take care of each other, love each other, and always stay honest."

"I love your daughter more than anything." Fitz assured him. "There is nothing I wouldn't do for her."

"I hope you two know that marriage is hard work. It isn't a walk in the park. It's something you have to work at every single day. Are you both prepared for that?"

Both Olivia and Fitz nodded in unison, "yes."

And he believed them. Denzel could see the love, hope and faith in their eyes. They had faith for the future, and that would be vital. "Well then, looks like you have my blessing."

"Thank you." Fitz exhaled. "I really do appreciate everything you've done for me."

"I love my daughter, and she loves you. Therefore I'm going to do whatever I can to make sure that things work out for you guys." Denzel extended his hand to Fitz which he took and the two men shook hands.

"Thank you Dad." It meant absolutely everything to have her father's approval, especially with the way her mother had behaved.

"You're welcome." He smiled. "I gotta go however, I have a flight to catch to New York."

"New York?" Olivia frowned.

"Yeah I'm gonna work at the New York office for a while."

"A while?"

Denzel sighed. He had no doubt this was going to be difficult for Olivia. He only hoped that she handled with the maturity and grace she recently showed. "Love you." He pecked his daughters head, waved both Fitz and Olivia goodbye before exiting, leaving the engaged couple ago.

Breaking the silence Fitz decided to warm her up, "You look—"

"Are my parents getting a divorce?" Olivia said bluntly. "Because he certainly seemed like they were."

"I don't know babe." He said honestly. "How do you feel?"

Thinking about it thoroughly, Liv only had one word that came to mind. "Free."

Lying down on his bed with her head upon his chest Olivia watched Suits from her laptop. She practically moaned as his fingertips massaged her scalp as he occasionally kissed her while also trying to watch Suits. The two of them had become so peaceful with one another they had reached a place in their relationship where they didn't need words all the time. Sometimes they could simply just be; together, and it was beautiful.

"What are you thinking?" He asked as he moved his hand to draw soft lazy circles on her arm.

"My mom is going to hate me forever."

"What?! Olivia what are you talking about."

"My dad is divorcing her, undoubtedly because of me and Harrison. It's no secret he's her golden boy. She's going to hate me forever."

Fitz chose his next words very carefully. He knew that while the probability of Olivia's mother hating her forever was low, but at the same time, the woman was completely irrational. Olivia was no longer a child, and it was time that he began to treat her as an equal in their relationship. If they were going to get married Denzel was right, they needed to be honest with one another. "Well that's her loss." He shrugged. "You're the most amazing person I've ever met, and if she can't see that, it's her loss Livvie."

Tilting her head up, she kissed his jaw softly. "You're amazing."

"No you're amazing." He chuckled only to have his attention diverted again by a knock at the door. "Again?" He muttered underneath his breath before yelling "Come in!"

Dr. Houseman, a new doctor who had taken to Fitz's case came in with a smile on his face. "Hello Fitz, Olivia." He closed the door behind him and stood at the foot of the bed. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything."

"Nope." Olivia got up and decided to stand. "Should I leave?"

"Well actually, you both can." He grinned eagerly. "Fitz I have your discharge papers."

"What?!" Fitz nearly choked. He expected to be in the hospital at a minimum of another week before they discussed discharging him. He'd recently been seeing a physiotherapist twice a day but he never thought that he would be discharged this soon.

"Your physiotherapist and I have talked this over extensively. The tissue in your legs is only getting stronger, and you've seen the muscle control that you've already gained just from small exercises twice a day. We both feel that keeping you here any longer would simply be prolonging your recovery, and that's not what we want. You're ready Fitz."

Olivia found herself crying for the second time today. This was exactly what she needed to hear. She needed some positivity and this was it. Her man was getting better, and now the two of them could truly start their lives together. They were moving forward in their relationship, and Olivia couldn't be happier. "Thank you so much." She sobbed, practically running into the arms of the doctor. He chuckled, caught off guard but still managed to hug her back pleasantly.

Fitz sat there silently, nodding his head slowly. "Uh... yeah thank you..." His entire demeanour was off and his voice sounded distracted. He smiled meekly at the doctor to show his gratitude.

"No problem. It's your turn now Fitz, rehab is going to be hard but we all have faith that you'll do great. I'll be back in the morning to discharge you officially." And with that Dr. Houseman showed himself out and closed the door behind him.

"EEK!" Olivia squealed, throwing herself on top of her man. She pounced, straddling his hips on the little hospital bed with the most glorious smile on her face. Within seconds she was peppering his entire face with kisses as she was unable to contain her excitement. Despite the fact he had his arms around her, she could feel from his body language that something was wrong. "Babe?" She breathed pushing hair out of her face. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing." He lied plainly.

"Nothing? There's something wrong. I can tell. What's wrong? And you should probably just tell me because I'm going to bother you until you do."

He chuckled lowly knowing that she wasn't kidding. However she did have a point. They were getting married, and again they needed to be honest with each other. He trusted her wholeheartedly, and there was no reason for him to keep anything from her, despite how hard it might be to come out with. "I'm scared."

"Scared?" She was surprised. "Scared for what?"

"Everyone keeps saying how hard rehab is, and how lucky I am to be alive. I mean when I first got out of the accident Liv they told me I was paralyzed. I just.. I don't know." He took a deep breath, knowing he wasn't explaining his point very clearly. "I guess I'm just scared that I won't be able to do it."

She smiled softly, pressing her lips to his. Since his accident with the exception of the proposal, the two of them hadn't really kissed. But she leaned in and kissed him, and kissed him hard. Her tongue found entrance into his mouth and he responded immediately. His hands went to her hair and hers remained at his nape. Olivia kissed him with all she had, savouring the sweet taste of his mouth before pulling away breathlessly.

"You are the most amazing person I've ever met. You're strong, smart, athletic, and not to mention extremely sexy. You're determined and you're strong willed. I know that there is nothing you wouldn't be able to do Fitz. Hell you're semesters away from getting your fucking PhD. You survived. You're gaining more and more feeling and use in your legs every single day. I see it and I know you see it. I've seen you wiggle your toes and you sure as hell weren't doing that weeks ago. You're so strong baby, so much stronger than you even know. Even the doctors said that they've never seen tissue repair itself at the rate yours is. We are going to Rhode Island tomorrow and you are going to KICK ASS at rehab and I don't want to hear another word about it."

And that was that, it was settled. He smiled, kissing her tenderly once more. "What did I do that was so right that I managed to deserve you?"

She smiled, fluttering her soft lashes at him. "I don't know, I guess you got lucky."

"That's great Liv!" Denzel held the phone to his ear as he unpacked his small suitcase into his luxury hotel suite. He'd found a hotel last minute on the Upper East Side and decided this was going to be his residency for the time being. He planned on setting up a new life for himself, but for now this would do nicely.

"I know! So we leave tomorrow. I just feel like everything is coming together." Liv gushed. She sat in the waiting room as she knew Fitz was tired and would only properly nap until she left. So she curled up on a couch in the waiting room with a cup of hot chocolate and a bag of Cheetos.

"I'm really happy for the two of you, I can tell he really cares for you."

"I love him so much Dad, I really do."

He smiled, he could hear the happiness oozing out of her voice, and as a parent that was all he had ever wanted for his daughter. "Once everything is sorted out, you two should come for a weekend in New York."

"Fitz goes to NYU so I'm sure I'll be in the city a lot." Liv chose to hide her plans of transferring to Columbia for now. Her father had enough on his plate without having to wonder about her schooling. She would tell him when the timing was better and things had calmed down.

"I can't wait." He smiled. Despite being in Florida for a few weeks, Denzel really hadn't gotten the quality time he wanted with his daughter due to Fitz's accident. "Liv I wanted to talk to you about something."

"Harrison?" She gulped. In all honesty Olivia felt sick about the entire situation. She was mad, hurt and felt utterly betrayed. She used a word that she knew better than to, and probably damaged her relationship with her brother forever.

"Is he?" Denzel asked timidly.

"Did he not—"

"After you left well..." Denzel began.

Flashback:

Harrison stood there absolutely mortified. He felt frozen, and his jaw hung on the floor. He looked to his mother who had a look of equal rage and disgust upon her face.

"WHAT?!" She screeched at the top of her lungs. At this point Elizabeth was just about ready to blow and Harrison could tell. Her face was bright red and her eyes were frantic. "WHAT IN THE FUCKING HELL IS SHE TALKING ABOUT?!"

"Nothing." Harrison assured his mother. He knew he had to keep his composure and his cool. Any sort of reaction or emotion would reek of guilt. "She's lying. You said so yourself, she's nothing but a no good liar."

Elizabeth took a deep breath, taking steps towards her son until their faces were inches from one another. "Look me in the eye and tell me she's lying."

Harrison was shaking. His throat was dry, his hands were sweating and his heart was racing uncontrollably. "She's lying." He swallowed hard and kept his resolve.

"She better be." Elizabeth scowled lowly. "No son of mine will EVER EVER be a homosexual." And with that Elizabeth stormed up the stairs, slamming the door behind her.

Denzel chose not to address his snake of a son, following his wife up the stairs and into their bedroom. He closed the door, finding Elizabeth sitting on the edge of the bed.

"I've had it with Olivia." Elizabeth growled. "We're cutting her off."

"I want a divorce." Denzel exhaled.

"What did you just say?" Elizabeth squinted her eyes at him as if she'd just misheard him.

"You're a horrible mother, and an even worse wife. It's taken me years to finally work up the courage to tell you just how disgusting I think you are. You treat every around you like dirt and I'm tired of it. Those are our children, they aren't things you can order around or treat like the shit under your shoe. I am so out of love with you and I can't stand to be in this sham of a marriage for another second. I want a divorce."

"Oh." Olivia nodded after now being brought up to speed with what happened after she had left. "Well I don't know what to say."

"Is he gay?" Denzel asked again. "Just tell me."

"Yes."

There was an awkward silence to which Denzel found himself processing the news he had just heard. "Okay. Well I have to go Liv, I'm meeting a few friends for a drink downstairs and I want to sneak in a quick nap first."

It was just like her dad to try his best to be accepting and okay with everything. It was one of the qualities she admired about her father the most. "Are you going to be okay with the whole divorce thing?"

"Yeah." Denzel replied honestly. "Are you going to be okay with Fitz going to rehab?"

"Yeah." She said. "I love you."

"I love you too Liv, take care of each other okay." And with that Denzel ended the call before crashing in his hotel room.

Olivia smiled, happy that her relationship with her father was back on track. As the call ended she received an unexpected text message from Quinn; it was a screen shot of the local Sarasota news twitter account about a police drug bust at the same address as Charlie's. She found the article online and a wave of relief washed over her to read that him as well as his friends had all been arrested and charged. This asshole had almost ruined her life, almost managing to take the one person she cared about more than anything away from her. So it was no surprise that a smile appeared upon her face upon reading about his arrest. He deserved to rot in jail. As much as she wished to bash his head in with a baseball bat herself, it just wasn't worth it.

Walking back to Fitz's room it hit Olivia just how much she truly had to be grateful for. Fitz was making a miraculous recovery, her mother was finally getting what was coming to her, Charlie had been taken care of and her father was finally sticking up for himself. Fitz was healthy and happy and in all honestly that was all that mattered to her. So as she entered his room she found herself with a sly idea and even slyer smirk upon her face as she locked the door behind her.

"What?" Fitz chuckled, slightly confused as to why she locked the door. However all of his confusion was put to rest as he watched as Olivia dropped her floral dress to the floor, leaving her clad in her black lace undergarments. His mouth hung open as she walked over to him, sitting at the edge of the bed. "What are you doing?"

"I'm happy." She said simply. "And I want to have sex with you."

"Liv I don't know if I can..."

"We can try." She said softly. There had been a few times throughout their cuddling sessions that she had felt stirring in his pants against her back. "And if you can't well I'm just as happy to watch TV. But I want to try."

He chuckled. "I love you."

"Is that a yes?" Her eyes lit up like fireworks.

"It's a yes." He smiled. "But I can't—"

"I'll go on top." She assured him, "just tell me what to do."

He nodded. "I don't have a condom."

"My period finished yesterday."

"Okay." They smiled at each other. She didn't know why this felt so exciting but it did. Perhaps it was because they were in public, or the fact that for the first time she was going to be in control, but Olivia couldn't stop smiling. "Lets do this."

They rid themselves of clothes, staring at each other like nervous new lovers. The time they had spent intimately apart had left both anxious yet excited for the reunion. Once naked, Olivia hovered over him and with his help he placed his hands on her hips before lowering her onto himself. They started off slow, reacquainting themselves with one another. Skin on skin with him with his hands on her hips Olivia had never felt more at home. Her head hung in the crook of his neck as they continued to move together in complete and total unison.

His hands were everywhere, and she could feel him on every each of her goosebump ridden skin. She moved her hips faster, watching as he became delirious with pleasure. She drank him in, sucking his bottom lip in her mouth. Her toes were curling, her back was arching and she was struggling to find air. He cupped her now sweaty face with his hands, his blue eyes now a dark grey.

"Faster." He told her.

"I'm gonna c—"

"Go faster Olivia."

She did. She rode him faster than ever, moving her hips in ways she never imagined she ever could. This man was bringing out a side to her that she could have never expected, and yet she was never happier when in the arms of him. The bed was creaking and the two of them were certain the floor could hear their moans and grunts of rapture, and yet neither cared.

"Fitz I'm gonna cum." She whimpered in his ear desperately. The all too familiar feeling was presenting itself an an uncontrollable tingling all over her body.

"Look at me Olivia. I want you to look at me when you cum."

And she did. She stared into those eyes that had captured her entirely as her body completely exploded. Every inch of her body felt as if it had ignited and come alive. Liv had to bite down on his shoulder hard in order to muffle her screams for carrying throughout the entire ward. He continued to hold her face as she still moved, ultimately pushing him off the edge with her. He came hard, words escaping him as he stared hungrily into her eyes.

As they both managed to come down off their high, he smiled lazily at her, tracing circles along her lower back. Both found themselves completely and totally exhausted, Olivia couldn't even muster the strength to move off him, despite the fact he was still inside her.

He lifted up her chin, smiling at her with the wonder of the world in his eyes. She was right. He was going to kick ass at rehab and there was not one doubt she would be there every single step of the way.

"What?" She giggled, "why are you smiling at me like that?"

"Hi." He grinned from ear to ear, pressing a kiss to her lips.

"Hi."
