So there's a time jump in this chapter. I don't want to spend too long on Fitz's recovery so I had to skip ahead. So with that I have moved forward :) I know this chapter is extremely extremely short but its mostly a filler/ transition chapter. Enjoy! x

"Hi."

"Hi."

"I miss you."

"I miss you more." She let out a soft sigh. It had been almost a 1 and a half months since she'd last seen the love of her life. Fitz's rehabilitation program in Rhode Island was so strict and so intense that they didn't allow for visitors. They main goal was to get Fitz walking. And since her father was paying for the best medical care they could find, Liv had to back off. So she'd been calling him every night before bed, missing him like crazy.

"I took a few steps without my walker today." Fitz grinned, running his hands through his hair. He was back in his room, retired for the evening. As he laid in bed talking to his fiancée there was nothing more in the world he wanted than to be right next to her.

"I wish I could have been there to see."

"The next time I see you I'm going to be walking baby." Fitz chuckled. His recovery and been nothing short of miraculous and even though he still had his days his legs were getting stronger and stronger every single day.

"I can't wait to see you."

"I don't think I've ever missed anyone so much in my life." Fitz exhaled. Olivia was more than just a relationship to him, the girl was now his family. She was absolutely everything to him. "But enough about me, you have your first day of college tomorrow right?"

Liv nodded. "Yeah. My roommate moved in today."

"What's she like?"

"Loud. She seems a little boy crazy, she's already hanging out with our neighbours."

"Oh no, you're not on a co-ed floor are you?"

"Why?" She giggled at the groan in his voice. "Are you jealous I'm going to be living with other boys that aren't you for a change?"

"I just know that if any little fucker steps outta line I'm going to have to do some serious bodily harm." Fitz grumbled.

"Well you have nothing to worry about, I'm so fucking in love with you it makes me sick."

Hearing those words was nothing short of music to his ears. He didn't believe that Liv would ever cheat on him, but he knew what boys at that age were like. Olivia was drop dead gorgeous, and he had no doubts the boys on her floor would be drooling at the sight of her.

"I can't wait to marry you." He said simply. "I wanna make you my wife so bad."

Liv blushed so hard she thought her cheeks might burn off. "I don't... I don't want a big wedding. I wanna go to city hall like you said. Me and you, that's it."

"What about your dad?" Fitz asked. "Are you sure you don't want him there?"

Thinking about it Liv nodded her head. "Okay, my dad. But that's it."

"Agreed." He smiled. Looking over at the clock he groaned. "I should get some sleep, I have physio at 6 am tomorrow."

Liv sighed. She hated how short and few their conversations were, but it was all for the best. At the rate Fitz was recovering the doctors were hoping to release him in 4 to 5 weeks. So in all reality she couldn't really complain. "Okay."

"I love you baby. Have fun at school tomorrow."

"I love you so much, and I'll see you soon." And with that Liv ended the call and wiped the tear running down her face. Never had she been through a tough past few months. And now not having Fitz by her side, she could feel herself slowly breaking down. She didn't care how pathetic it was, she was completely dependant on that man.

Taking her out of her thoughts was Abby, her loud redheaded roommate who bursted into their room with a can of beer in her hand. "Hey." She smiled.

"Hey." Liv replied softly.

"What cha doing?"

"Not much. I'm probably going to head to bed soon."

"No you're not. We're all the common room, I've been summoned to come get you. So lets go."

"I'm not really in the mood." Liv said lowly.

Abby shrugged her shoulders, taking Liv by the arm before taking down the hallway. "It'll be fun I promise."

They arrived in the common room to find their fellow floor mates in a circle on the floor. Liv and Abby quickly squeezed in between a space and joined the conversation.

"Everyone, this is my roommate Olivia." Abby smiled proudly.

Everyone smiled back, waving and gesturing hello. Liv immediately felt slightly more at ease, seeing just how friendly everyone else was.

"Liv this is Jessica, Yana, Jeremy, David, Colin, Tara, Caroline and Jake."

Liv smiled back at everyone, noticing that the blonde haired green eyed boy by the name of Jake was smiling at her extra hard. "Hi everyone."

"Here." Yana slid over a beer in her direction. "You're about 4 behind so you'll have to do some catching up."

Liv nodded, cracking open the top and began sipping. "Thanks."

"So, are you single?" Jessica asked with a smile. "We're all thinking of having a girls night out soon."

Liv shook her head. "No I'm not."

"Boyfriend?!" Yana frowned.

"Uh... Fiancée actually." Liv said awkwardly.

The room went completely silent, everyone now staring at her like she were an alien.

"Fiancèe? Like as in you're getting married?!" Abby screeched at the top of her lungs.

Liv nodded her head. "Yeah, hopefully in November."

The room was silent and awkward. Everyone looked oddly until Jake decided to speak up.

"Why?" He asked bluntly.

"What do you mean why?"

"I mean why would you want to do something like that? You're only 18. Why would you want to throw away your youth? You're young, smart and beautiful. You go to one of the best schools in country let alone the world. Why wouldn't you want to enjoy it?"

Liv didn't know what to say. She opened her mouth to say something but words seemed to fail her. So she opted to take a sip of her beer, hoping for some liquid courage. "Because I'm in love. I might be young but I know what I want and what's best for me."

"That's the thing; you're young. You don't know what's best for you. You might think this is the best decision for you, but you're barely an adult."

"I know what I'm doing." Olivia snapped back. "You don't know the first thing about me besides me first name so why don't you just back off."

"Okay..." Yana intervened. "How about we just play never have I ever?"

"Yes!" Abby quickly joined in. They all were desperate to get rid of the clearly hostile atmosphere between Liv and Jake. "I'll start. Never have I ever had anal!"

Back in her room, beneath the privacy of her duvet Liv couldn't help but cry. She couldn't help but feel like her life had completely fallen apart. Never had she felt so alone, and so isolated. Picking up her phone she decided to call her father, hoping for some comforting words.

"Hey Liv." Denzel smiled. "Hows school going?"

"I hate it. They all think I'm some weird freak for getting married. Some asshole practically called me out in front of my entire floor for it."

"Just ignore them."

Liv couldn't help but feel like college was going to be exactly like high school. She was going to feel completely and totally isolated. "I miss him."

"I know you do." Denzel empathized. "It's just a few more weeks. How about maybe I come down to Rhode Island for a visit next weekend? You can show me around."

"Okay. That sounds good." She smiled at the same time someone knocked on her door. Liv quicky told her father she'd call him back before getting up and answering it.

"Hi." It was non other than Jake smiling at her with a beer in hand.

"Hello." Liv replied quite dryly.

"Look I didn't mean to upset you or offended you. I guess I was just a little disappointed."

"Disappointed?" She raised her brow. "With what?"

"I don't know. I mean you're the prettiest girl on our floor by far, I just... I guess I was disappointed that you have a boyfriend."

"Fiancèe." She corrected him.

"Right." Jake nodded. "Well I apologize if I made you upset, that wasn't my intention. I come in peace, I promise."

She believed him. His apology seemed genuine and it wasn't exactly like Liv was spoilt for choice for friends to talk to. "It's okay. Water under the bridge."

He smiled. "Great. So will you come back to the common room, we're gonna play beer bong soon."

Olivia shook her head. "I have class tomorrow, but thanks. I think I'm just gonna go to bed."

Hiding again the disappointment on his face Jake nodded his head. "Okay, well maybe we could hang out some other time?"

"As long as you respect that I'm engaged, I don't see why not." Liv agreed. "I'll see you tomorrow."

"Night." He smiled before heading back down the hall.

After a few episodes of Suits on Netflix and began getting ready for bed. She washed her face, brushed her teeth and changed into her pjs. Lying down in her bed she decided to flip through photos of her and Fitz on her iPhone. How she missed that adorable face of his. God she truly couldn't wait to see him again.

However her face quickly fell when a text message from an unknown number popped up on her screen.

Hey Liv it's Jake, got your number from Abby :)

She looked at the time, it was almost 1 am. Liv was now annoyed. Firstly, Abby was wrong for giving out her number without asking. Secondly, she found it pretty innapropriate for Jake to be texting her so late. If the shoe was on the other foot with Fitz, and another girl was texting him at 1 am she would be raging. Although she was pretty sure Jake meant nothing by it, Liv ignored the message. The last thing she wanted to do was give him any encouragement.

So she switched off her phone, turned off the light and got into bed properly. Hoping for the next few weeks to fly by Liv sighed. She would distract herself with school, events, clubs and anything she possibly could until Fitz was out. Then she would transfer to Columbia and they would start their lives together. Everything was going to work out.

It had to do.

And with a deep sigh Liv drifted off to sleep with her first day of college ahead of her.

So yes, I brought in Jake. While some of you might be mad I really don't care. Every single story of mine has ended with Olitz being together so don't worry about it too much. He's serving a purpose that I very much want to address. If you choose not to read because of Jake that's fine, but don't leave me some long nasty review. It's my story and I'll write it however I please.

Thanks for reading :))

Until next time! x
