A Ridiculous Exception
Chapter 3 - Intro
Eighteen hours later...
Maybe if she just closed her eyes and try to shut everything out, she'd be able to calm down just a little bit.
She had her arms wrapped around her legs as she buried her face between her knees, her eyes shut, in an attempt to cover what her half-wrecked clothes couldn't. And now that the adrenaline was slowly fading from her system, she was starting to shiver from how cold the room was.
She had a few cuts and bruises; they weren't anything she couldn't handle. But they did sting and throb in the freezing air, making her mood even fouler than it already was.
It was good of the Doctor to have put his jacket on her shoulders, but it was just as destroyed and tattered as the rest of her or his clothes. It barely did anything to fend off the blasted low temperature of their prison.
Her main problems, excluding the floor and wall behind her freezing her arse and back, were the metal shackles around one of her wrists and around one of the Doctor's, bound by chains that were both attached to a single point on the floor, and how the bloody hell she and the Doctor were getting out of this insane hell-of-a-place.
AN: For those of you thinking, "WHAT THE FREAKING FRACK IS THIS TWO-HUNDRED-WORD CHAPTER?" Well. I'm sorry! For, you know. Being neglectful for months. Which is hypocritical of me, since I don't like it either when authors are like that...but I can't blame them either... Not that I'm telling you that you can't blame me!
Jesus. I'm babbling. Anyway.
I posted this, a little tidbit from the next chapter, to let you guys know that you haven't slipped my mind! I'll try to work on the story in my spare time, and I shall update as fast as I can. :) Patience is all I ask. Thanks.
