AN: T.T I'm really sorry guys... I was suppose to give this chapter my best after the vacation and and- T.T

O'Brien LP 4000 | Sho LP 4000

TURN 1

"Draw!" Sho started. Unnoticed, he smirked as he saw the cards he was holding. 'If I get that card then this duel will be a snap.'

"From my hand I activate Polymerization!" He revealed the card to O'Brien feeling proud.

"I fuse Steamroid and Gyroid to Fusion Summon-" An old style train with the front lights as eyes and wheels for a hand appeared along with a blue stunt plane. "-Steam Gyroid in attack mode (ATK2200)!"

Both entities blended into a black train with rotor blades on its back.

"Oh~" Jaden commented from behind. "So you're using a Fusion deck." At some part of his head, he thought that it has been a long time since he saw Sho played.

The duelist tilted his head downwards to show that Jaden was correct.

"I set two cards face down." Two cards in face down. "Turn end."

TURN 2

'Fusion.' O'Brien calculated Sho's deck. 'No necessary changes needed for my strategy.'

"Draw." A swift draw was made.

"Activate Spell card – Blaze Accelerator!" He showed the card that he just drew and ativated it without any hesitation.

A one-barrel cannon with a stand of a tripod in the Spell and Trap card zone emitted a rather heavy and hot artillery.

Now, during each of his Main Phases, he can send 1 Pyro-type monster with 500 or less ATK from his hand to the Graveyard to destroy one monster on Sho's side of the field. If O'Brien activates the effect of "Blaze Accelerator", he will be forbidden from attacking the turn he activates this effect.

"I'll send one 'Volcanic Shell' to the graveyard." He placed the card to the graveyard.

"In return," He pointed his cards to Sho. "your Steam Gyroid will be destroyed!" At his own statement, he noticed the two face-down cards on the opposing field. He stared at it thinking it was a card to prevent Steam Gyroid's destruction.

"Not so fast!" Sho felt like he was expecting this to happen but little does he know he's not the only one. "Quick Spell - Defusion!" The card flipped in response.

Blaze Accelerator shot a blazing Volcanic Shell towards Steam Gyroid who was in the middle of separating. It went through two bodies named Steamroid and Gyroid without a hit.

O'Brien cared less if it did hit 'cause he wasn't even done. "I activate Volcanic Shell's effect." His graveyard glowed to a burning light. "I'll pay 500 life points to add one Volcanic Shell from the deck to my hand."

O'Brien LP 3500

The burning glow revealed a critter in flames. "I send it to the graveyard and destroy Steamroid!" Volcanic Shell went towards the Blaze Accelerator's reload station and the latter fired away.

Steamroid was hit with the flaming bullet and was sent straight to the grave with an explosion. Sho didn't retaliate but instead drew a grinding teeth.

"I set one card. Turn end."

TURN 3

"My turn." Sho's hand was clenching the top of his deck wishing it was the card he was waiting for. "Draw!"

He looked down on the card with a sour look. 'Not yet, huh.' He was disappointed. "I summon Drillroid in attack mode(ATK1600)!"

A drilling machine with eyes. Not very surprising.

Two monsters Vs Spell card - Blaze accelerator. An impossible match. "Steamroid!" The train let out a steam. "Direct attack!" It charged right in front of the field without consent.

"Trap activate! Firewall!" A firewall indeed. Scorching flames refrained Steamroid from tackling O'Brien. "From the graveyard, I remove from play Volcanic Shell to negate your attack."

"If that's the case," He pointed a finger. "Go, Drillroid!" He was thinking of replenishing the reload stock of O'Brien.

Without a word, the firewall activated and the Volcanic Shell was placed out of play. Two out, one to go.

"Turn end." Sho's stiff shoulders relaxed for now.

TURN 4

O'Brien silently drew a card. "With firewall's effect, I pay 500 lifepoints."

O'Brien LP 3000

'What a selfless guy.' Jaden went for an in-mind comment.

O'Brien then activates 'Spell card - Soul of Fire' to remove from play 'Infernal Flame Emperor' from his Deck and inflict damage to Sho equal to half of 'Infernal Flame Emperor's' ATK at the cost of forbidding himself from attacking this turn and letting the opponent draw a card.

A vortex of flames encircled Sho. Next thing was a fire storm with its literal meaning. The heat made him scream pain right to the ears.

Sho 2650

Staggering, he drew a free card from his deck. '!'

"I set two cards." His plan was just beginning. "I end my turn."

TURN 5

Sho flinched at the same time like he snapped out of dreamworld. "Urk-!" His hands trembled for a slight second.

"D-draw!"

'Aniki's saying that I must climb up.' He took a peak at his own cards in hand. 'As Hell Kaiser Ryo's brother.'

He only had three cards in his hand. Vehicroid Connection Zone, Limiter Removal and Emergency Repair. With only those three, he thinks that it's already his win.

'I can do this...!' He pulled out a single card.

"Activate a Spell Card - Vehicroid Connection Zone!"

A three-way railroad with a center of a circle was in solid vision. "With this, I can fusion summon a Vehicroid Fusion monster! But that's not all." He pointed his hand to his face-down card. "Trap card activate! Chain Material!"

Chain Material lets you choose a monster for a Fusion summon even if it's in the graveyard, deck or hand.

Sho was in total victory mode. "From my deck, I choose Submarineroid. From the field, Drillroid. And lastly, from the graveyard, Steamroid." He was ready to scream to the heavens for a victory shout.

"I Fusion Summon - Super Vehicroid Jumbo Drill (ATK 3000)!"

O'Brien glared at the huge drill-like vehicle in front of him. He didn't feel an inch of intimidation from it even with an attack as high as 3000.

But Sho was still in the middle of his plan. He's serious at defeating him with every ounce of force. "Quick Spell - Limiter Removal, Activate! Jumbo Drill's ATK is doubled!"

"6000 ATK points!?" Kenzan was bewildered with such a high offense.

Johan's eyes were sparkling with admiration of the humongous drill-slash-train-slash-submarine vehicle. "Cool~"

"Haha~" Jaden offered a laugh full of praise. "As expected of Kaiser Sho."

The soldier must have wanted to punch a hole in Sho's face with the angered glare.

"Since I activated Chain material, I can't attack for this turn. And according to Vehicroid Connection Zone's effect, it can't be destroyed by any card effects."

'So Blaze Accelerator and Limiter Removal's effects are useless, huh.' O'Brien cursed below.

"I set one card and end my turn." He was smiling with a cold sweat. He wasn't chilling just yet.

"Mmm?" The only Slifer red in the area twitched an eye. He noticed something flicker in the bio-band. An orange flash to be exact. 'Was it my imagination...?'

TURN 6

'...' O'Brien made a mind note as he reached for his deck. '...change of plans.'

"Before continuing this duel-" Jaden stood as he assisted his right arm.

O'Brien and Sho looked to him. One was glaring and one was concerned. "Why don't we talk about a few things?"

"Huh?" Sho was ready for everything and now Jaden tells things of no sense.

O'Brien was barking. "Like?" In cool monotone.

"Like stopping this one-sided duel." His reason was not mentioned.

The eye-daggers deepened. Cobra's assassin was sliding some feeling of being disgraced.

Sho, on the other hand, was surprised as he looked at Jaden with big marble eyes. 'One-sided?' Was it Sho's side in the advantage or was it the other way around? Either way, it was totally obvious.

"Are you mocking me?" O'Brien growled. A man's pride can be a big opponent.

Jaden shrugged the feeling of being directly hated with a mocking smile. "It's not mocking. It's stating the obvious."

"In less than three turns. You'll lose this duel." His prediction was going as far as declaring the loser. "I believe that even soldiers have the right to protect themselves, no?"

O'Brien was in dire surprise for some reason.

"Even us, soldiers, have the right to defend ourselves in the battlefield." His father's words echoed in his conscience.

It was a fitting quote for his situation. He failed the mission from head to toe and now he was at the verge of losing. He dropped his hand that was supposed to draw a card in the draw phase.

Cobra slammed both of his arms at the computer he was currently operating. "Are you abandoning the mission, O'Brien?!" Even if it wasn't Jaden, if the duel continues for a long time, it won't matter who he duels. That was on Cobra's mind.

"..." A long drop of silence coerced no one to take the situation lightly.

Jaden still held his right wrist and proceeded on walking towards the militant.

He stopped as soon as their axis where aligned. "You already failed as soon as this duel started anyway." Jaden whispered the words to O'Brien and continued to walk to the dark forest.

O'Brien gripped to a fist with a startled expression.

"Hey, Jay! Where are you going?!" Johan shouted from behind him. Kenzan was a lost puppy staring at Jaden.

"To the Infirmary! I think I need some pain killers!" Jaden didn't bother to look back.

He left, not giving the jaw-dropped Sho a time to figure things out.

The sound of a gun disk retracting caught Sho's attention. As soon as he heard it, the world's gravity seized him in arm's length.

Johan and Kenzan's ears became witnesses to the noise of a falling body.

""Sho!""

Flat on the ground, not moving, not twitching. Sho's physique lay down the grassy field.

AN: -I lost my notes of about half of O'Brien and Sho's duel and I can't even remember how it ended! T.T I was too focused on my other fanfics. Hope you guys give me another chance.
